"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh manajemen pengetahuan proses menuju kinerja organisasi dengan inovasi sebagai
variabel mediasi. Proses manajemen pengetahuan variabel diukur dengan dimensi proses penciptaan pengetahuan, proses transfer pengetahuan, dan penanaman pengetahuan proses. Selanjutnya variabel inovasi diukur dari dua dimensi yaitu teknis inovasi dan inovasi administrasi. Variabel kinerja organisasi diukur melalui 9 indikator. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari data sekunder dan survey yang dilakukan terhadap 325 karyawan struktural PT PLN. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur (causal step) dan uji sobel
menguji pengaruh langsung dan pengaruh tidak langsung dari mediasi antar variabel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pengetahuan mempengaruhi kinerja organisasi melalui inovasi penting. Proses manajemen pengetahuan variabel juga mempengaruhi inovasi dan kinerja organisasi secara signifikan. Juga, inovasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi.
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the influence of process knowledge management towards organizational performance with innovation as a
mediating variable. The variable knowledge management process is measured by the dimensions of the knowledge creation process, the knowledge transfer process, and the knowledge planting process. Furthermore, the innovation variable is measured from two dimensions, namely technical innovation and administrative innovation. Organizational performance variables are measured through 9 indicators. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research data were obtained from secondary data and a survey conducted on 325 structural employees of PT PLN. Data analysis techniques using path analysis (causal step) and sobel test examine the direct effect and indirect effect of the mediation between variables. The results of the analysis show that knowledge management affects organizational performance through important innovations. The variable knowledge management process also influences innovation and organizational performance significantly. Also, innovation has a significant effect on organizational performance."

"Terdapat tiga praktik manajemen pengetahuan/knowledge management (KM) dalam pekerjaan sehari-hari pegawai di suatu organisasi, yaitu praktik pengetahuan formal, informal, dan personal. Saat ini KM dianggap sebagai suatu praktik formal, yaitu suatu aktivitas yang dilakukan dengan sengaja oleh manajemen untuk penggunaan pengetahuan yang lebih baik guna mendapatkan keunggulan kompetitif. Namun, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa praktik KM yang mendukung kinerja berpengetahuan dari pekerjaan sehari-hari pegawai sebagian besar justru praktik KM informal dan personal. Selain itu, banyak organisasi yang mengembangkan solusi KM untuk mendukung dan meningkatkan proses organisasi untuk mengelola “pengetahuan organisasi”, namun relatif memberikan sedikit perhatian pada bagaimana pegawai mengelola pengetahuan organisasi pada level individu. Hal ini mengakibatkan ketidakseimbangan antara pengembangan pengetahuan individu dan fungsi KM organisasi secara keseluruhan. Berdasarkan studi lebih lanjut yang dilakukan, penulis mengusulkan mekanisme untuk mengintegrasikan praktik KM personal dan organisasi melalui suatu sistem KM yang berbasis media sosial internal (MSI). Perancangan sistem yang dilakukan secara umum menggunakan pendekatan pengembangan berbasis pengguna. Pada tahap identifikasi permasalahan metode yang digunakan adalah analisis sebab akibat menggunakan diagram fishbone dan identifikasi konteks penggunaan menggunakan user research. Pada tahap perancangan sistem, digunakan metode segmentasi konten agar konten yang ditampilkan dapat lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan pengguna. Digunakan juga pendekatan multilevel knowledge system untuk lebih mengoptimalkan local knowledge dan pengaturan pengetahuan pada tingkat nasional. Pada tahap evaluasi, pengujian rancangan sistem dilakukan sebanyak dua kali. Pengujian pertama menggunakan evaluasi berbasis pengguna menggunakan task-based evaluation dengan protokol think aloud yang dianalisis secara kualitatif, ditambah dengan kuesioner SUS dan UEQ. Hasil pengujian tahap pertama menunjukan tingkat usability yang cukup serta skor SUS sebesar 74. Evaluasi skala UEQ menunjukan hasil positif dan perbandingan benchmark pada rentang good. Pengujian tahap kedua dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan kuesioner SUS, UEQ, dan kuesioner dukungan kinerja. Hasil pengujian tahap kedua menunjukan skor SUS sebesar 75,94 atau dalam rentang good dan hasil evaluasi UEQ yang positif dengan perbandingan pada benchmark pada klasifikasi excellent. Sebanyak 89% responden menyatakan bahwa sistem yang dirancang dan diusulkan dapat mendukung kinerja pegawai dalam pekerjaan sehari-hari.

There are three knowledge management practices (KM) in the daily work of employees in an organization, namely formal, informal, and personal knowledge practices. Currently, KM is considered a formal practice, which is an activity carried out intentionally by management for the better use of knowledge to gain a competitive advantage. However, the results of the study show that KM practices that support the knowledgeable performance of employees' daily work are mostly informal and personal KM practices. In addition, many organizations are developing KM solutions to support and improve organizational processes for managing “organizational knowledge”, but have paid relatively little attention to how employees manage organizational knowledge at the individual level. This results in an imbalance between individual knowledge development and the overall KM function of the organization. Based on further studies conducted, the authors propose a mechanism to integrate personal and organizational KM practices through a KM system based on internal social media (ISM). In general, the development of the system uses a user-centered design (UCD) approach. At the problem identification stage, the method used is a causal analysis using fishbone diagrams and identification of the context of use using user research. At the system design stage, the content segmentation method is used so that the displayed content can better suit the characteristics and needs of users. A multilevel knowledge system approach is also used to further optimize local knowledge and knowledge management at the national level. At the evaluation stage, the system design test is evaluated twice. The first test used a user-based evaluation using a task-based evaluation with the think-aloud protocol which was analyzed qualitatively, plus the SUS and UEQ questionnaires. The results of the first stage of testing show a sufficient level of usability and a SUS score of 74. The UEQ scale evaluation shows positive results and benchmark comparisons are in the range of "good". The second stage of testing is quantitative with the SUS, UEQ, and performance questionnaires. The results of the second testing stage show a SUS score of 75,94 or in the range of "good". The UEQ evaluation results in positive value with comparisons to the benchmark in the excellent classification. As many as 89% of respondents stated that the system designed and proposed could support employee performance in their daily work."

Diketahui bahwa memiliki gaya manajemen adalah sesuatu yang sangat penting untuk dimiliki oleh suatu perusahaan. Terdapat beberapa tipe manajemen seperti Anglo-Saxon dan  Rhineland style yang digunakan bermacam perusahaan di berbagai Negara. Skripsi ini dibuat untuk menganalisa salah satu gaya manajemen di Asia yang berbeda dengan Negara-negara lainnya yaitu gaya manajemen Korea Selatan. Analisis dilakukan dengan berbasis pada gaya manajemen yang telah disebutkan sebelumnya untuk mengetahui apakah salah satu perusahaan elektronik terbesar di dunia, LG Corporation, mengasosiasikan gaya manajemen Korea Selatan di dalam perusahaan, serta untuk mengobservasi kinerja organisasi pada LG Corporation. Dengan menggunakan Balanced Scorecard, analisis berbasis literatur diberikan untuk mendukung hasil penelitian. Riset yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwasanya LG Corporation mengadaptasi gaya manajemen Korea Selatan yang lebih bersifat kekeluargaan dan pengalaman untuk mencapai kinerja organisasi yang seimbang sesuai dengan Balanced Scorecard.


It is commonly known that a management style is an important aspect for a company to have. Different types of management style, such as Anglo-Saxon and Rhineland styles are being used by different companies in various countries. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the South Korean management style by using the framework of the previously mentioned management style, to know whether LG Corporation is adapting South Korean management style or not, and to observe the organizational performance of LG Corporation. A literature-based analysis of LG Corporation’s management style and organizational performance by using the Balanced Scorecard framework are provided. A research plan for testing the hypotheses deduced from the literature review is presented. The results indicate that LG Corporation is indeed following the practice of South Korean management style, and the company is also presenting a balanced model of Balanced Scorecard under the South Korean management style.

"Dengan mengaplikasikan konsep Moore (1995) mengenai fungsi manajerial yang berbeda - managing upward, downward, dan outward, studi ini berupaya untuk memahami dampak fungsi manajemen tingkat menengah terhadap kinerja organisasi; dan menyelidiki dampak gender pada hubungan antara manajemen tingkat menengah dan kinerja organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data cross section dari Indonesian Family Life Survey 4 (IFLS4) dan menerapkan metode Weighted Least Squares (WLS) untuk menganalisis hipotesa yang tersusun.
Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan dampak signifikan dari managing downward secara negatif dan managing outward secara positif terhadap kinerja organisasi. Sedangkan, managing upward tidak memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi. Di sisi lain, dampak managing outward berdasarkan gender sangat signifikan berpengaruh positif pada manajer perempuan dan sangat signifikan berpengaruh negatif pada manajer laki-laki. Managing downward, baik pada manajer perempuan dan laki-laki, memberi dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi, tetapi dampaknya pada manajer pria lebih besar dibandingkan manajer wanita. Managing upward berdasarkan gender tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi.
Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa manajer publik perlu memberikan upaya lebih terhadap managing outward dengan menciptakan lebih banyak jejaring demi meningkatkan performa kinerja organisasi yang mereka pimpin. Sebaliknya, manajer publik perlu memodifikasi strategi mereka dalam mengatur bawahannya karena strategi managing downward yang sudah diterapkan memberi pengaruh negatif terhadap performa kinerja organisasi.

By applying Moore (1995) concept of distinctive managerial functions - managing upward, downward, and outward –, this study attempts to understand the impacts of middle-level management functions on organizational performance; and tries to investigate gender impacts on the middle-level management and performance linkages. This study employs Indonesian Family Life Survey 4 (IFLS4) cross-sectional data and applies Weighted Least Squares (WLS) method to analyze some hypotheses constructed.
The results indicate the significant impacts of managing downward negatively and managing outward positively on organization performance. Meanwhile, managing upward does not give the significant impact on organization performance. On the other hand, gendered managing outward effects on organization performance are strongly positive significant for female managers and strongly negative significant for males. For both male and female managers, managing downward gives significant positive impacts on organization performance, but males’ effect is much greater than females. Lastly, the gendered managing upward effect is not significant related with organization performance.
Therefore, it can be concluded that public managers need to give more efforts on managing outward by creating more networking to increase the organization performance. In contrast, the principals may need to modify their strategy to manage their subordinates because current managing downward strategy gives negative impacts on the organization performance.

"Penelitian ini menganalisa implementasi manajemen kinerja di PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk. Divisi Bisnis Kartu. Metoda yang digunakan adalah Balanced Scorecard (BSC) dan European Foundation For Quality Management (EFQM). Dengan kombinasi kedua metoda tersebut, memberikan turunan baru yang mengarah kepada pemahaman yang baik mengenai kinerja organisasi. Dengan demikian nantinya akan didapatkan hasil penilaian implementasi manajemen kinerja di PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, guna mengurangi kendala dalam stabilitas operasional serta mengantisipasi potensi kendala yang mungkin timbul di masa yang akan.

This study analyzes the implementation of performance management at PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk. Credit Business Division. The method used is the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and the European Foundation For Quality Management (EFQM). With the combination of the two methods, provide new derivative that leads to a good understanding of the performance of the organization. Thus the results of the assessment will be obtained performance management implementation at PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, to reduce obstacles in the operational stability and to anticipate potential problems that may arise in the future.
