"Panti Sosial Marsudi Putra (PSMP) Handayani Sosial melibatkan pekerja sosial PKSA untuk berperan dalam penanganan ABH yang berada di lingkungan keluarga pasca reintegrasi sosial. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, tesis ini menggambarkan peran pekerja sosial terhadap ABH di lingkungan keluarga pasca reintegrasi sosial. Adapun peran tersebut antara lain melakukan verifikasi, membantu pembukaan dan pencairan rekening tabungan, pemenuhan kebutuhan, pendampingan, penguatan keluarga dan laporan. Hambatan dalam pelaksanaannya antara lain lemahnya kualitas SDM, kurangnya pengawasan pihak PSMP Handayani, lokasi tempat tinggal ABH yang jauh, dan ketentuan/ kondisi dalam PKSA yang dirasa kurang efektif bagi pekerja sosial PKSA.

With a qualitative approach, this thesis describes the role of social workers within the ABH in the family after social reintegration. The roles include verification, making of savings, meet the needs, strengthening family, and reports. Barriers to implementation include lack quality of social worker, lack monitoring from PSMP Handayani, residence location of ABH far, and terms/ conditions in Child Welfare Program (PKSA) were deemed less effective for social workers."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran praktik pekerjaan sosial di rumah sakit jiwa. Praktik pekerjaan sosial dalam bidang kesehatan jiwa merupakan hal yang penting bagi pemulihan ODGJ Orang Dengan Gangguan Jiwa maupun Orang Dengan Masalah Kejiwaan ODMK terutama untuk mengintegrasikan mereka kembali ke masyarakat setelah menerima pelayanan di rumah sakit jiwa. Walaupun memegang peran yang penting, didapati bahwa praktik pekerjaan sosial di rumah sakit jiwa di Indonesia masih belum optimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di RSJ Dharmawangsa dan RSJ Soeharto Heerdjan sebagai dua rumah sakit jiwa di Jakarta yang menjadi tujuan terbesar untuk menerima pelayanan kesehatan jiwa. Informan dari penelitian ini adalah segenap tenaga kesehatan jiwa profesional seperti pekerja sosial, psikiater, psikolog, perawat, dan terapis okupasi, serta klien penerima pelayanan. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan praktik pekerjaan sosial di masing-masing rumah sakit jiwa yang dibagi dalam lima tema yaitu tugas dan peran pekerja sosial, kolaborasi tim profesi kesehatan jiwa, tantangan praktik pekerjaan sosial dan strateginya, ketidaksesuaian pelayanan promotif, dan perspektif dan pendekatan dalam penyampaian pelayanan.

This study aims to describe social work practices conducted in mental hospitals. Social work in mental health area is important to help people with mental disorders to re integrate with the society. Despite of its importance, it is known that social work in mental hospitals in Indonesia has not been optimal. The study is conducted in RSJ Dharmawangsa and RSJ Soeharto Heerdjan as some of main destinations for people to seek for professional helps. The participants of this study are professional workers in mental health team such as social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and occupational therapist, as well as the clients. The results are elaborated in five themes which talk about social workers rsquo tasks and roles, health professional team collaboration, challenges and strategies in social work practice, misapplication of promotive services, and perspective and approach to services."
