"Tesis ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi sumatif Program Penguatan PUK di Solo dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Tujuannya yaitu mengukur indikator outcome dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pencapaian outcome berdasarkan aspek process dan input. Analisis dilakukan dengan cara univariat dan bivariat dengan tabel silang, Chi Square dan Tau Kendall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indikator outcome belum tercapai. Faktor-faktor dalam aspek proses yang memengaruhi outcome yaitu kemampuan identifikasi masalah, mengatasi masalah, kualitas produksi, volume usaha, inovasi usaha, laba pameran, dan keikutsertaan dalam pelatihan. Faktor input yang memengaruhi outcome yaitu masa usia, dan pendidikan responden.

This thesis is a study summative evaluation PUK Strengthening Program in Solo with a quantitative approach. The goal is to measure outcome indicators and analyzes the factors that influence the achievement of outcomes based on aspects of the process and input. The analysis was done by means of univariate and bivariate with cross table, Chi Square and Kendall Tau.

The results showed that the outcome indicators has not been achieved. Factors that influence the outcome of the process aspect is the ability of problem identification, troubleshooting, production quality, volume of business, business innovation, profit exhibition and participation in training. Input factors affecting outcome that is age and education of respondents."

"ABSTRAKUsaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) merupakan kontributor keluaran ekonominasional dan penyerap tenaga kerja yang besar. UKM di Indonesia maupun dinegara lain mengalami hal yang sama yaitu kesulitan mendapatkan akses padapendanaan melalui institusi lembaga keuangan formal. Bagi UKM, pendanaanmodal kerja dan investasi bisa didapat melalui mekanisme pembiayaan hutang(debt financing) atau melalui pendanaan ekuitas (equity financing). PrivateEquity (PE) merupakan salah satu alternatif sumber pembiayaan bagi bagi UKM.PE juga dikenal di ekonomi syariah yang dijalankan melalui 2 akad yaitumudharabah dan musyarakah. Tesis ini menguji apakah PE syariah dengan akadmudharabah dan musyarakah dapat diimplementasikan di UKM Indonesia besertasemua konsekuensi dan risiko-risikonya.

ABSTRACTSmall and Medium Business contributes significantly to the national economicoutput as well as the creation of employment. SMB in Indonesia and in any othercountries has always having the same problem to access the formal financialinstitution for their financing requirement, working capital and investment capital.SMB has 2 alternatives for their financing needs which are debt financing orequity financing. Private Equity (PE) is an alternative provider for SME financingneeds. Syariah economy is also adopting PE model through mudharabah andmusyarakah contract. "ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penurunan yang terjadi pada hasil produksi industri kecil dan mikro Provinsi Jawa Tengah pada tahun 2012. Oleh karena itu perlu diketahui pemusatan-pemusatan lokasi berdirinya industri serta karakteristik lingkungan usaha seperti faktor apa yang mempengaruhi industri kecil dan mikro. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aglomerasi lokasi industri kecil dan mikro, serta pemusatan karakteristik lingkungan yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tumbuhnya industri. Pada pelaksanaannya, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi di Jawa Tengah dengan unit observasi kecamatan. Berdasarkan studi kasus ini, pemusatan lokasi berdirinya industri memiliki pola-pola tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis (ESDA) untuk mengetahui pemusatan berdirinya industri serta analisis diskriminan untuk mengidentifikasi multiple regression. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah pola-pola pemusatan industri kecil dan mikro menurut jenisnya serta tujuh karakteristik yang signifikan dari sepuluh karakter lingkungan usaha yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini nantinya tidak hanya dapat dijadikan bahan pertimbangan evaluasi dan penentuan kebijakan, namun juga mampu sebagai pijakan investasi bagi pembangunan industri baru.

ABSTRACTBackground of this research is the decline in the production of small and micro industries in Central Java Province during 2012. Therefore, it is important to know the concentrated location of industries and the business environment characteristics, i.e. factors that can affect small and micro industries. The purpose of this study as to determine the location of industrial agglomeration of small and micro enterprises, and the concentration of environmental characteristics that significantly influence the growth of the industry. In practice, this research was conducted in a district of Central Java. Based on this case study, the concentration of the location of industries has certain patterns. This research uses Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis (ESDA) to determine the concentration of the industrial establishment and discriminant analysis to identify the multiple regressions. The result shows the concentrated patterns of small and micro industries according to the type of industry and the seven significant characteristics environment generated by the ten environment characters observed. The results of this study not only can be taken into consideration and evaluation of policy, but also can be used as basis for the development of new industrial investment."

"Penelitian bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesuksesan usaha kecil menengah (UKM) di Jakarta seperti yang dilakukan oleh Chittithaworn dalam penelitiannya di Thailand. Delapan faktor digunakan sebagai penentu kesuksesan usaha UKM antara lain entrepreneur characteristics, management and know-how, products and services, customer and market, the way of doing business and cooperation, resource and fiinance, strategy, and external environment. Responden penelitian ini adalah 99 pemilik dan pengelola UKM yang berada di wilayah Jakarta. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap delapan hipotesis berdasarkan hasil dari estimasi analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa faktor-faktor yang signifikan mempengaruhi kesuseksesan usaha UKM di Jakarta adalah entrepreneur characteristics, products and services, the way of doing business and cooperation, resource and finance, dan external environment. Sedangkan ketiga faktor lainnya tidak signifikan mempengaruhi kesuksesan usaha UKM di DKI Jakarta.

This research aims to determine the factors that are affecting perceived business sucess of SMEs in Jakarta as sugested by Chittithaworn who conducted research in Thailand. Eight factors are used as determinant of business success which are entrepreneur characteristics, management and know-how, products and services, customer and market, the way of doing business and cooperation, resource and fiinance, strategy, and external environment. Research respondents are 99 owners or managers from SMEs who operate their business in Jakarta. Eight hypotheses research model is then tested with based on estimation result from regression analysis. The result shows that significant factors affecting business success of SMEs in Jakarta were entrepreneur characteristics, products and services, the way of doing business and cooperation, resource and finance, external environment. While the three other factors were not significant to business success of SMEs in Jakarta."
