Kirkpatrick, Graeme, 1963-
"In this compelling book, Graeme Kirkpatrick argues that computer games have fundamentally altered the relation of self and society in the digital age. Tracing the origins of gaming to the revival of play in the 1960s counter culture, Computer Games and the Social Imaginary describes how the energies of that movement transformed computer technology from something ugly and machine-like into a world of colour and fun. In the process, play with computers became computer gaming; a new cultural practice with its own values."

Thomson, Thomas
"The Royal Society has been dedicated to scientific inquiry since the seventeenth century. In 1811, Thomas Thomson (1773–1852), a pioneering chemistry teacher who was elected a fellow of the society in the same year, undertook the project of writing a history of the organisation's illustrious past. In this book, published in 1812, Thomson explains how the group began in 1645, initiated by men who met once a week to discuss natural philosophy and mathematics. They were eventually granted a royal charter by Charles II in 1662. The society grew in number and prestige, and began publishing research in its Philosophical Transactions in 1665. Thomson's work focuses particularly on the development of the group's many scientific areas of interest and summarises various papers it published. He also includes a full list of the fellowship, from the society's foundation to 1812, and a copy of the society's original charter."

"This study aims to describe the society perception towards the existence of Mandatory Reporting Recipient Institution. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis technique. Data collection was conducted by spreading out questionnaires to the community, social institution and the organizer of the institution. The location and respondents of the research were determinated purposively, that is in Medan City, Sumatera Utara Province.Respondents were consisted of 60 people who lived around the 6 IPWL regions and one was from Social Department officer and also one chairman or management of IPWL each from six IPWLs. The data and information collected were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The result of the research showed that 80 percent of respondents had not understood the IPWL existence yet. This was because of the lack of program socialization on IPWL to the community. It isrecommended to the Indonesian Republic Ministry of Social to socialize the tasks, roles and functions of IPWL as a rehabilitation managing institution for drugs users to the community widely through social service bodies, social media both press and electronic ones."

This research is about neighborhood and imaginary interaction space. Neighborhood as a psychological relationship between residents who live and reside in the same residential environment, ideally always interact, especially using spaces designed as gathering spaces. Research shows that there is a phenomenon of individualism in formal housing, but on the other hand, other interaction spaces are formed in spaces that are not designated as gathering spaces which are often used as places of interaction by small groups of neighborhoods, in the same place, so that an image of interaction space is formed, namely imaginary interaction space. This research aims to find out how neighborhoods form imaginary interaction spaces with a qualitative method using a grounded theory approach. Everyday life in carrying out responsibilities, doing preferred activities and gathering with neighborhood members forms a realization of feelings, realization of will, compatibility, and mutual understanding in the neighborhood, giving birth to an 'enjoyable' psychological relationship, enjoying the interactions that occur until it seems to be in the 'sphere', and unwittingly 'forgetting' the actual function of space. The freedom to consume time and space, the freedom of expression and joint activities bring 'free' to the space. Thus, "free-spheretopia" as a continuity of freedom in enjoyable relationships, as an intermediary between real space and imagined space, mental and absolute, underlies the formation of imaginary interaction spaces."
