"Penelitian ini membahas pemahaman remaja mengenai kaidah kebahasan yang menyangkut struktur kalimat untuk mengetahui bagaimana remaja menggunakan jenis-jenis kalimat dalam pokok pembicaraan tertentu pada status facebook miliknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa remaja di media sosial facebook sebagai wujud gambaran ekspresi diri remaja. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Data berupa status-status facebook remaja. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori sintaksis, teori perkembangan remaja, dan teori variasi bahasa. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa remaja cenderung lebih banyak menggunakan kalimat lengkap dengan pola sederhana dalam status facebook mereka. Isi dari status facebook mereka tampak didominasi oleh pokok pembicaraan tentang keadaan diri.

This research discusses the adolecent understanding of the language rules, specially in using sentence structure for their facebook statuses. Thus, this research would see how the selected adolescent use the sentence type for their facebook status in a certain discussion. The purpose of this research is to describe the use of adolecent?s language in facebook as a media social for their expression form. The method of this research is descriptive research. "ABSTRAKPangotoeb refers to the traditional tattooing among the Pantaron Manobo of Mindanao, a practice that has not been given a systematic description and analysis before in Philippine or Mindanao studies. After giving a review of early historical and recent reports on this practice, this article provides an ethnographic description of Pantaron Manobo tattooing on the following aspects: (a) the tattoo practitioner (and her socio-symbolic contexts); (b) tools and techniques; (c) variations in body placements; (d) basic designs; and (e) the given reasons why present-day Manobo tattoo themselves. In terms of Philippine tattooing technique, this study highlights the importance of distinguishing three modal hand movements: hand-tapping, handpoking, and incising techniques; this last is unique to Mindanao relative to the rest of the Philippines and perhaps Southeast Asia. This paper also opens a comparative and exploratory cognitive approach in studying Manobo tattooing practice. Calling for a methodological declustering of the study of tattooing from its frequent association with male/warrior identity, this article concludes by selecting a limited set of figures that appears to be an enduring schema underlying Manobo tattooing practice: (a) the central role of the female gender; (b) the unique importance of the navel/abdomen as a tattooing region of the (female) body; and (c) the importance of the ridge-pole (and the house in general) in naming tattoo figures and attributing significances. These appear to be more resonant with many other aspects of Manobo culture to warrant giving this schema a heuristic value for future studies."

"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas pengenalan struktur kalimat pada sistem penilaian esai otomatis Simple-O. Pengenalan struktur kalimat meliputi subjek, predikat, dan objek serta jenis kalimat aktif atau pasif. Proses pengenalan struktur kalimat dilakukan dengan cara mencari kata predikat dari kalimat input. Pencarian kata predikat dilakukan dengan cara memeriksa kata yang mengandung awalan huruf me-, di-, ber-, dan ter-. Setelah didapatkan kata predikat maka dapat ditentukan jenis kalimat dan kalimat dapat dibagi menjadi tiga bagian. Sehingga dapat ditentukan subjek dan objek kalimat sesuai dengan predikat yang terdeteksi. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa pendeteksian kalimat tunggal dengan keterangan subjek dan/atau objek sebesar 63,33%, sedangkan tanpa keterangan subjek dan/atau objek sebesar 90%. Jumlah kata pada kalimat juga mempengaruhi persentase pengenalan kalimat dan waktu proses pengenalan, dimana waktu proses akan semakin lama seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah kata yang terkandung pada kalimat.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses the recognition of sentence structure in automated essay scoring system Simple-O. Recognition of sentence structure covering the subject, predicate, and object as well as the type of active or passive sentences. Sentence structure recognition process is done by searching for the predicate words of the input sentence. Predicate word searches done by checking words that contain the letter prefix me-, di-, ber-, and ter-. After obtained the predicate word, it can be determined the type of sentence and the sentence can be divided into three parts. So the subject and object sentence can be determined according to detected predicate. The test results showed that the detection of a single sentence with a description of the subject and/or object is 63,33%, while without a description of the subject and/or object is 90%. Number of words in the sentence also affects the percentage of sentence recognition and time process of recognition, in which the processing time will be longer as the number of words contained in the sentence increase."

"ABSTRAKMakalah ini membahas kalimat yang mengalami pergeseran struktur setelah diterjemahkan. Sebagai korpus data digunakan empat artikel terjemahan di laman Goethe-Institut Indonesia dengan fokus analisisnya adalah teks sasaran, yaitu bahasa Indonesia. Fokus makalah ini terletak pada pergeseran struktur kalimat terjemahan menurut teori Hasan Alwi. Digunakan pula teori dari Kridalaksana, Kushartanti, Nieder dan Stern sebagai penunjang. Metode penelitian analisis kontrastif diterapkan untuk membandingkan teks sumber dengan teks sasaran yang kemudian dicari perbedaannya. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh 25 kalimat yang mengalami pergeseran struktur berdasarkan lima kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh penulis. Terdapat lima kalimat yang sesuai dengan teori Hasan Alwi, sedangkan 20 kalimat lainnya tidak, karena teori tersebut hanya berlaku untuk kalimat tunggal, sedangkan data yang dianalisis juga menunjukkan kalimat-kalimat kompleks. Alasan lainnya karena perbedaan aturan tata bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa Jerman.

ABSTRACTThis paper discusses sentences that possess shifted structure on translation. Four translation articles from official website Goethe-Institut Indonesia are used as the data. The focus of this analysis is target text, Indonesian, and the focus of this paper lies on the shifted structure of sentence after being translated according to Hasan Alwi rsquo;s theory. Theories by Kridalaksana, Kushartanti, Nieder and Stern are also used as addition. The method of this paper is contrastive analysis which is used to comparing source text with target text and look for the differences. The result of the analysis shows that there are 25 sentences have experienced the structural shift after the writer arranged five criteria. There are five sentences are into Hasan Alwi rsquo;s theory, while the remaining 20 sentences are not included because the theory only valid to simple sentence. But in fact, corpus data also pointed the complex sentences. Furthermore due to the differences in grammatical rules. "
