"Keberhasilan kualitas layanan pada mahasiswa, tentunya tidak terlepas dari upaya layanan jasa yang diberikan pegawai UPBJJ-UT Kupang dan fasilitas jasa yang menyertai pelayanan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kualitas layanan jasa yang diberikan UPBJJ-UT Kupang dilihat dari sisi mahasiswa sebagai pelanggan, mengidentifikasi dimensi kualitas layanan jasa yang paling kuat di UPBJJ-UT Kupang, dan mengetahui tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan tehnik pengumpulan datanya melalui penyebaran kuisioner kepada mahasiswa UT sebagai responden. Dimensi kualitas yang digunakan untuk melihat kualitas layanan jasa di UPBJJ-UT Kupang adalah dimensi tangibles, reliability, empathy, assurance, responsiveness.
Hasil penelitiannya adalah bahwa mahasiswa UT masih mempersepsikan kualitas layanan jasa yang diberikan oleh UPBJJ-UT Kupang buruk dan belum memuaskan karena masih adanya kesenjangan antara harapan dan kenyataan, dimana harapan mahasiswa lebih tinggi dari kenyataan yang diterima. Sedangkan dimensi yang paling kuat di UPBJJ-UT Kupang adalah dimensi reliability.

The success of service quality on students of course, is inseparable from the efforts of services provided by the employees of UPBJJ-UT Kupang and also the service facilities that accompany it. The purposes of this study is to analyze the quality of services provided by UPBJJ-UT Kupang in terms of students as customers, to identify the dimensions of service quality as most powerful at UPBJJ-UT in Kupang, and to know students satisfaction. This type of research is descriptive and the approach used in this study is the technique of gathering quantitative data through questionnaires to the deployment of UT students as respondents. The dimensions of quality which is used to see the quality of service in Kupang UPBJJ-UT is the dimension of tangibles, reliability, empathy, assurance, and responsiveness.
The result of the research is that UT students still perceive the quality of services provided by UPBJJ-UT Kupang is bad and still unsatisfy because of the persistence of the gap between expectation and reality, in which students expectations is higher than reality. While the dimensions of the most powerful in-UT UPBJJ Kupang is the dimension of reliability."

"Kepuasan mahasiswa akan tutorial tatap muka (TTM) sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas layanan yang diberikan oleh pegawai UPBJJ-UT Kupang dan tutor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: pertama, gambaran kualitas layanan TTM secara umum di UPBJJ-UT Kupang. Kedua, Aspek-aspek layanan TTM yang perlu diperbaiki agar pelayanan dapat ditingkatkan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner ke sejumlah mahasiswa dalam rangka untuk menilai dan membandingkan antara kualitas layanan yang diharapkan (expected service) dan yang dirasakan (perceived service) oleh mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat aspek-aspek layanan TTM yang harus diperbaiki oleh UPBJJ-UT dan tutor. Penelitian ini menyajikan suatu analisis akan pengujian kualitas layanan dari sisi mahasiswa.

Student's satisfaction of face-to-face tutorial (TTM) is influenced by the quality of services that the staffs of the Kupang Regional Centre and tutor give. The aim of this research is to find out: first, the quality of TTM services at the Kupang Regional Centre. Second, what aspects of services that needs to be improved in accordance with the student's satisfaction. Data gathered by spreading questionnaires to the students in order to evaluate and compare between students' expected services and students' perceived services. The research result shows that there are aspects of TTM services that need to be improved by the Regional Centre and tutor. This research presents an analysis of assessment of the quality of services from the student's point of view."

"Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan mengambil sampel seluruh mahasiswa beasiswa Bidikmisi di UPBJJ UT Bandung yang terdiri dari program studi Akuntansi, Biologi, dan Perencanaan Wilayah Kota Masa registrasi 2013.2 sebanyak 94 mahasiswa. Variable dalam penelitian ini adalah motivasi belajar, kemandirian belajar, dan indeks prestasi belajar (IPK). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat motivasi belajar, kemandirian belajar, dan IPK mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi, dan kemandirian belajar rata-rata termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, dan IPK berada dikisaran antara 1,75-3,85 dengan rata-rata IPK 2,70"

"This research was aimed to access the quality of non printed learning materials especially video as a suplement for learning modules offered by undergraduate study program of early childhood education (PGPAUD). Data were collected by using questionnaire with 86 closed-ended questions and one open-ended question. Students in their third, forth, and fifth semester from Jakarta, Serang, and Bandung were taken as samples. Among 90 questionnaires distributed, about 69 (76.67%) were returned. Descriptive analysis was employed in this researched. It was conclude that the technical quality of the Video Program including sounds, colors, packaging, duration, captions, utilizations, and documentation, were good. The quality of instruction in that video was good as well. In addition, the Video Program was useful for them as kindergarten teachers. However it was stated that the video Program was only a little helps in doing their course examination. Meanwhile, the average students' score for this subjects is B and C."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fasilitas belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan sanara belajar (X1) terhadap kemandirian belajar (Y). Hal ini diperoleh dengan nilai thitung (2,159) dengan p = 0,034 <0,05 dan ttabel pada 5% tingkat signifikan dengan df = 78 sama dengan 1,991. Ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan motivasi belajar (X2) pada kemandirian belajar (Y). Diperoleh nilai thitung (7,858) dengan p = 0,000 <0,05 dan ttabel pada taraf signifikan 5% dengan df = 78 sebesar 1,991. Ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari fasilitas belajar (X1) dan motivasi belajar (X2) secara bersamaan terhadap kemandirian belajar (Y). Hal ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi ganda RY (1,2) = 0,746 dan R² = 0,557 dan harga Fhitung sebesar 48,980 dengan p = 0,000 <0,05 dan Ftabel = 3,11 pada taraf signifikan 5%. Nilai koefisien X1 = 0,186 dan X2 = 0,647, bilangan konstan sebesar 8,650 sehingga dapat dibuat persamaan regresi Y = 8,650 + 0,186X1 + 0,647X2. Semakin tinggi nilai sarana belajar (X1) dan motivasi belajar (X2), semakin tinggi kemandirian belajar (Y). Koefisien Determinasi adalah R² 0,557. Berarti 55,7% kemandirian belajar dijelaskan oleh alat belajar dan motivasi belajar. Sementara itu, 44,3% dijelaskan oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa secara parsial, baik ketersediaan sarana prasaran belajar dan motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada kemandirian mahasiswa, dari dari kedua variable tersebut motivasi mempunyai pengaruh lebih besar. Secara simultan ketersediaan sarana prasarana dalam belajar dan pembelajaran, serta motivasi berpengaruh positif terhadap kemandirian belajar."

"The research aimed to identify the effect of applying PAU-UT model on narrative writing skills tutorial session among students of S1 PGSD programme. Through experimental methods, this study involved two group of samples: Group 1 was treated using the PAT-UT 1 model, and Group 2 was treated using PAT-UT 2 model. Data were gathered through questionnaires and test of narrative/text writing ability and then were analyzed using descriptive statistical test and t-test. The result on text writing skills using PAT-UT 2 model showed better results compared to PAT-UT 1 model. Result of t-test showed that groups treated with PAT-UT 2 model provides higher learning outcomes than groups treated with PAT-UT 1 model (t.s.0.90=1,32). Concluded that the implementation of PAT-UT 2 on narrative writing skills can improve learning activity and learning outcome of students of S-1 PGSD programme."

"Economic condition of Universitas Terbuka (UT) regional offices (RO) influences quality of services provided to UT's students as provides information on the ROs. Analysis from economic condition of 36 ROs based on 2005 - 2006 student's body dan active study programs crossed with minimum of students number required for economic break even oint (BEP) in each ROs resulted in four types of economic condition of ROs, namely small RO with small potency, small RO with big potency, big RO override its potency, and big RO with big potency. From all 36 ROs, 12 ROs has reached BEP , 8 ROs have potency to reach BEP , and the rest 16 ROs is low below reaching the BEP level due to their small number of students and high target of BEP ..."

"Face-to-face tutorial is a type of student services provided by Universitas Terbuka at each regiional central center. Factors which influence the effectiveness of face-to-face tutorial in Banda Aceh regional center were discussed.The research method was descriptive-corelational. There were 66 tutors as respondents filled the questionnaire. Data collection was carried out from april until june 2010. In analyzing the data, correlation test of rank spearman was used. The result showed thet (1) the effectiveness of face-to-face tutorial was at medium level; (2) factors which influence the effectiveness of face-to-face tutorial were the infrastructure, the contribution of regional center and the quantity of face-to-face tutorial.

"The management quality standart of UT student services is based on ISO 9001. Recently ISO 9001:2008 certificate already being applied to 35 UT Regional Centres (UPBJJ-UT). UT has to allocate considerable amount of budget in order to maintain them. Considering the limitation of budget in the future, a study had to be conducted in order to collect information on the perceptions of academicians' community toward the benefit of the implementing ISO 9001:2008. The purpose of the study were (1) to identify the benefits of ISO certification, (2) to identify the perceptions of colleagues and students toward the acquisition of ISO certification, and (3) to explain the relation between UPBJJ-UT's characteristics batiosed on the geographical conditions, their partners' and students perceptions toward the acquisition of certificate. The research methodology applied the standard survey, by submitting the questionnaire to the UPBJJ-UT's leaders, staffs, partners and students at 10 UPBJJ-UT which were characterized by urban, island, and inland. Data was analyzed by applying descriptive statistics methods. The result showed that: (1) the officials in the UPBJJ management level felt that ISO as procedures need to be modified and readapted to make them better, more realistic and humanist (2) the achievement of ISO certificate did not have any influence to UT colleagues and students' perceptions towards UT (3) Based on UPBJJ-UT characteristics, it seemed that there were no differences in perceptions among UT partners and students toward UT's ISO certificate."

"UT has implemented computerized system for registration and examination which require accurate data and information entered. This research was conducted to analyze factors related to the accuracy of students' data and information on the examination. A hundred students from Jakarta and Mataram regional Centers, who have taken examination on the 1 and 2 semester in 2009, were randomly selected as a respondents, but only 58 studes ts had responden. Primary and secondary data were collected and analyzed describetively. Result showed that most of the students who took examination were 36-50 years old (48.28%), already have job (79.31%) and first registered about 5 years before the last examination (74.14%). In terms of the administration of registration, most of the students said that they did it by themselves (89.66%), at UT's regional center (50%) and before the registration period ended (100%). The result also showed that student still made mistakes in filling the examination forms, especially data about the date of birth (20.69%), students' number identification (18,97%), and subject matter code (22,41%). About the role of the examination proctor, most of the students commented that they had come ontime to examination room (98.28%), provide very clear briefing (87.93%), and examining students data accurately (86.21%). Result of Rank Spearman Correlation Coefficient indicated that factors that significantly related to the accuracy of students data on the xamination (a=0.05) are the age of students, time of registration, registration conductor, the clarity of briefing, and the accuracy of proctors in examining students data."
