"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas tentang konsep pernikahan putih di dalam budaya Baratyang direpresentasikan oleh film Bride Wars. Dengan menggunakan teorisemiotik milik Roland Barthes, beberapa ritual serta atribut pernikahan putih yangditampilkan dalam film tersebut dianalisa untuk mengetahui makna yang terdapatdi dalamnya, terkhusus makna konotasi atau mitos. Dari analisa tersebut,diketahui bahwa di dalam ritual dan atribut pernikahan putih terdapat mitos-mitosyang memanipulasi perempuan. Mitos-mitos tersebut membentuk tataran idealpernikahan yang harus dipenuhi oleh perempuan. Tuntutan untuk perempuanmengikuti tataran ideal tersebut akhirnya membangun karakter-karakter di dalamdiri perempuan, yang tanpa disadari merugikan diri perempuan itu sendiri

ABSTRACTThe focus of this study is to show the way the white wedding concept manipulate

women as represented in a movie, titled Bride Wars. Using the semiotic theory of

Roland Barthes, some white wedding rituals and attributes in Bride Wars are

analyzed in order to find the denotative and conotative meanings within them.

From the analysis, it is shown that the connotative meanings or myths which lies

within the rituals and attributes manipulate the idea of wedding on women?s

minds. The myths unconciously put pressure in women?s mind so that women

follow the ideal standard of a wedding which is constructed by the myth.

Unfortunately, the pressure build some characters within women that causes

detriment to women."

"Skripsi ini membahas pengadaptasian Winnie the Pooh menjadi Vinni Pukhdengan tinjauan rusifikasi, dan makna dari perbedaan yang tercipta daripengadaptasian tersebut. Untuk membuktikan hipotesa digunakan teori adaptasidan semiotika dengan metode deskriptif-analitis. Hasil analisis menyimpulkanbahwa terdapat banyak perbedaan antara Winnie the Pooh dan Vinni Pukh, dimanasetiap perbedaannya memiliki makna yang dapat diinterpretasikan. Daribanyaknya perbedaan ini membuktikan kalau Rusia mencoba untuk merusifikasiWinnie the Pooh.

AbstractThe focus of this study is to discuss the adaptation of Winnie the Pooh into VinniPukh through the russification analysis, and the meaning of the differences whichoccurs. To prove the hypothesis used the adaptation and semiotics theory and thedescriptive-analitics method. The results show that there are scad of differencesbetwixt Winnie the Pooh and Vinni Pukh, and each difference has a meaningwhich can be interpreted. Regarding those differences, it appears that Russia try torussificate Winnie the Pooh."

"Industri film Korea Selatan telah berkembang pesat sejak 1990-an setelah melewati sejarah panjang dalam ketidakstabilan politik dan ekonomi, serta korupsi pemerintah. Chaebol yang dikenal sebagai kelompok konglomerat besar di Korea diharapkan dapat berperan dalam mengembangkan perekonomian bangsa sebagai prioritas tertinggi. Penelitian ini mengangkat peran Chaebol pada sisi lain, yakni dunia perfilman di Korea tahun 1990-an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif-analisis dengan menggunakan studi pustaka, dari buku, jurnal, situs-situs internet, dan lainnya. Penelitian ini memaparkan bahwa keterlibatan chaebol sebagai pemain lama dalam bisnis berhasil menjadi agent yang memainkan peran besar dalam membangkitkan industri film Korea Selatan. Chaebol memperkenalkan inovasi baru dengan menggunakan metode bisnis modern terintegrasi secara vertikal yang digunakan oleh Hollywood. Melalui integrasi vertikal, chaebol sebagai investor utama terlibat dalam seluruh proses film termasuk pembiayaan, pra-produksi, produksi, pascaproduksi, distribusi, penayangan, hingga pemasaran. Implikasi sistem integrasi vertikal dalam mewujudkan pertumbuhan industri film Korea dilakukan dengan dukungan modal dari chaebol yang berpartisipasi dalam industri film.

South Korea's film industry has proliferated since the 1990s after a long history of political and economic instability and government corruption. Chaebol, which is known as a family-owned large conglomerate in Korea, is expected to play a role in developing the nation's economy as the highest priority. This study explores the role of chaebol on the other side, namely in the film industry in Korea in the 1990s. This study uses a descriptive-analytical research method using literature studies, from books, journals, internet sites, and others. This study explains that the involvement of chaebol as incumbents in the business has succeeded in becoming agents who play a big role in revitalizing the South Korean film industry. Chaebol introduces innovations using the modern vertically integrated business methods used by Hollywood. Through vertical integration, chaebol, the main investors, are involved in the entire film process, including financing, pre-production, production, post-production, distribution, screening, and marketing. The implication of the vertical integration system in realizing the growth of the Korean film industry is carried out with capital support from chaebol who participate in the film industry."

Film ini menceritakan konflik antara bangsa Rouran yang ingin merebut wilayah kekuasaan Wei dan bangsa Wei itu sendiri yang ingin mempertahankan wilayahnya. Menampilkan dua tokoh utama wanita dari etnis yang sedang berperang, yaitu Hua Mulan dari bangsa Wei sebagai jenderal pasukan Wei yang memimpin ratusan ribu pasukan laki-laki dalam perang serta menjadi penengah bagi kedua bangsa. The public is familiar with Mulan as the main character from Disneys animation film of the same name released in 1998. She disguised herself as a man to replace her father as a general in a war. There are several film adaptations of her stories and this paper focuses on Jingle Mas Mulan: Rise of a Warrior (2009) with emphasis on the role of its two conflicting ethnic female leaders. Hua Mulan leads the Weis in defending their lands against the invasion of the Rourans led by their Princess. Mulan guides her army of men into the battlefield and becomes the agent of peace with Princess of Rouran herself eventually becomes the one who restores peace for both tribes."

"ABSTRAK Skripsi ini membahas tentang bentuk pelaksanaan konsep bakti di Cina Xiao yang muncul dalam film Ju Dou dan keterkaitannya dengan kerumitan permasalahan rumah tangga di pedesaan yang menjadi konflik dalam film tersebut. Peran masing-masing anggota keluarga akan dianalisis dengan melihat bagaimana mereka melaksanakan Xiao sesuai dengan posisi mereka yang diatur oleh konsep Wu Lunn Lima Hubungan dalam filsafat Cina. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah film Ju Dou serta buku-buku kebudayaan Cina dan kajian apresiasi film.

ABSTRACT

This thesis discusses the implementation of Chinese concept of filial piety Xiao which appeared in the movie Ju Dou and its interrelatedness with complexity of a rural household family that serves as conflict of this movie. Each family members role will be analyzed as to how they practice Xiao according to their position in Wu Lun The Five Confucian Relationship in Chinese philosophy. The data source of this research is the film Ju Dou and books on Chinese culture and film appreciation studies."
