"This study attempts to explain the media construction of the Jakmania constructed by Kompas newspaper during the Round I and II Super League Indonesia (LSI) 2009/2010. Data was obtained through content analysis, observation and interviews. Both sources of data were combined and analyzed to see how the construction of reality of the Jakmania. This study is an analysis of cultural criminology studies, so media construction is analyzed in depth as a tool to show war between dominant culture and weak culture. The results of this study indicate that the newspaper as a print media, capable of constructing supporters group by distorting the image according to the stereotype of a stronger culture."

"[ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas tentang perempuan yang memutuskan untuk menjadi penampil di dalam musik metal underground sebagai upaya counter-culture terhadap sistem kebudayaan yang patriarkis. Penelitian ini menggunakan dimensi analisa culture as crime dalam kajian kriminologi budaya mengingat terdapat praktik-praktik di dalam kebudayaan metal yang dilihat sebagai praktik-praktik yang menyimpang karena dianggap tidak sesuai dengan moralitas yang ada di masyarakat dominan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menggunakan kajian teori feminis radikal-libertarian dan feminis sosialis sebagai dasar dalam memaknai upaya yang dilakukan perempuan sebagai bentuk counter-culture. Sebuah band dengan personel keseluruhannya yang adalah perempuan menjadi subyek dalam penelitian ini, yakni Psychotic Angels. "Skripsi ini meneliti geng Gazper di SMA 34 dengan metode kualitatif. Berbeda dari studi terdahulu, studi ini menunjukan kehadiran geng di sekolah tidak senantiasa menghasilkan hal deviant seperti tawuran. Meskipun memiliki kecenderungan berperilaku menyimpang, Gazper justru menghasilkan hal positif, terlihat dari fungsi manifest dan laten yang dihasilkannya. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menganalisa relasi yang dibangun oleh Gazper. Hal tersebut telah menunjukan kondisi struktur sosial dimana Gazper berada serta menunjukan bahwa Gazper ternyata dikelilingi oleh kedua bentuk solidaritas dari Durkheim, yaitu mekanik dan organik.

This under-graduate thesis examines about Gazper gang in 34 SHS, with qualitative method. Different with all the past study, this study showed that the gang who existed at school not always resulted a deviant things like a collective fighting, but also a good things. That can be showed by the function that Gazper had, both manifest and latten. The result of this study have been reached by analyzing the relation that Gazper had build. That should be showed a social structure of Gazper had. This study also showed that Gazper actually surrounded by solidarity of Durkheim, both mechanic and organic."

"Skripsi ini membahas bentuk-bentuk kebudayaan kaum muda perempuan penggemar boy band Korea, pemahaman diri mereka sebagai penggemar, dan apa faktor penyebab mereka dianggap "aneh" serta respon mereka terhadap pihak luar yang menganggap mereka "aneh" dengan menggunakan perspektif kriminologi budaya dan memahami isu ini dari posisi mereka sebagai subjek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi, observasi, serta wawancara tidak berstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebudayaan kaum muda perempuan penggemar boy band Korea merupakan bagian dari youth culture dengan kekhasannya tersendiri serta tidak ada yang "aneh" dari kecintaan mereka terhadap boy band Korea, yang oleh masyarakat pada umumnya dianggap sebagai perlawanan terhadap konstruksi maskulinitas tradisional. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan dekonstruksi cara pandang masyarakat (pihak luar) terhadap kebudayaan kaum muda perempuan penggemar boy band Korea, dari yang semula melabel sebagai "aneh" menjadi respek terhadap mereka. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, masyarakat diharapkan dapat memahami kebudayaan kaum muda perempuan penggemar boy band Korea serta tidak mencap mereka negatif.

The focus of this study is described about many types of culture from youth female fans of Korean‘s boy band, their understanding about theirself as fans, and factors that others think them as "freak" along with their respon to the others that think them is "freak" with using cultural criminology perspective and understanding this issue from their point of view as subject. This research using qualitative approach with collected data from documentation, observation, and unstructured interview.

The result of this research showed that the culture of youth female fans of Korean‘s boy band is a part of youth culture with their special things and their not freak because of their love to Korean‘s boy band, which is society thinks that Korean‘s boy band as a resistance to construction of traditional masculinity.

This research is make recommendation about deconstruction of society‘s point of view towards youth female fans of Korean‘s boy band, from labeling them as "freak" to become more respect to them. With this research, hopes society can understanding the culture of youth female fans of Korean‘s boy band and not labelled them negatively."

"Industri budaya populer Korea Selatan telah mengalami pertumbuhan yang luar biasa jika dibandingkan pada awal perkembangannya di tahun 2000-an. Meskipun telah banyak penelitian yang memberikan wawasan mengenai hubungan antara budaya populer dan pariwisata, masih sedikit yang membahas mengenai bagaimana industri budaya populer Korea Selatan berperan dalam membentuk dan mengubah citra negaranya. Penelitian ini kemudian hadir untuk mengonfirmasi hubungan antara budaya populer Korea Selatan (Hallyu) dengan citra negara Korea Selatan dengan menggunakan musik (K-Pop), serial drama (K-Drama), dan film Korea Selatan sebagai objek penelitiannya. Survei diikuti oleh 280 responden usia sekolah menengah atas (perempuan = 66,1%) yang familiar dengan budaya populer Korea Selatan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Hallyu berpengaruh terhadap citra negara Korea Selatan. Akan tetapi, hasil dari uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa Hallyu bukanlah faktor pemengaruh satu-satunya dalam pembentukan citra negara Korea Selatan (R2 = 36,8%).

South Korea's popular culture industry has seen tremendous growth compared to its early development in the 2000s. While studies have provided many insight into the relationship between popular culture and tourism, little has been discussed about how South Korea's popular culture industry plays a role in shaping and changing its country's image. This research is then aimed to confirm the relationship between South Korean popular culture (Hallyu) and the country image of South Korea by using music (K-Pop), drama series (K-Drama), and South Korean films as the research objects. Valid survey responses were collected from 280 high school students respondents (female = 66,1%) who are familiar with South Korean popular culture. The findings showed that Hallyu has an effect on the country's image of South Korea. However, the coefficient of determination analysis test shows that Hallyu is not the only influencing factor that could contribute to South Korea's country image (R2 = 36,8%)."

"Terdapat mutualisme (hubungan saling menguntungkan) antara penggemar dan industri budaya populer. Adanya perspektif negatif terkait penggemar yang menyatakannya sebagai sesuatu yang pasif dan tidak terberdayakan perlu diubah. Berangkat dari hal tersebut, penulis melakukan studi terhadap penggemar NCT (NCTzen) melalui karya penggemar Alternate Universe (AU) dan novel Butterflies yang dibuat oleh Alesa Cakes. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat mutualisme antara Alesa Cakes sebagai penggemar NCT dan industri budaya populer. Penulis melakukan analisis deskriptif dengan memerhatikan beberapa aspek, yaitu (1) penggemar sebagai textual poacher, (2) penggemar sebagai pemasaran industri budaya populer (fan-labour), (3) fantrepreneurship dan karya penggemar, dan (4) produsage pada karya penggemar. Dari analisis yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa Alesa Cakes berhasil memberdayakan dirinya melalui komersialisasi karya penggemar Alternate Universe (AU) Butterflies menjadi sebuah novel dengan judul serupa. Penciptaan karya penggemar tersebut turut menguntungkan industri budaya populer karena membantu memasarkan produk media, yaitu Haechan (NCT) pada khalayak umum.

There is mutualism between fans and the popular culture industry. There is a negative perspective regarding fans who declare it as something passive and helpless that needs to be changed. Based on this, the author studied NCT fans (NCTzen) through Alternate Universe (AU) fan art and the Butterflies novel by Alesa Cakes. This paper aims to see the mutualism between Alesa Cakes as a fan of NCT and the popular culture industry. The author conducts a descriptive analysis by paying attention to several aspects, namely (1) fans as textual poachers, (2) fans as the marketing for the popular culture industry (fan-labour), (3) fantrepreneurship and fanworks, (4)Production of fanworks. From the analysis conducted, it was found that Alesa Cakes succeeded in empowering herself through the commercialization of the fan work Alternate Universe (AU) Butterflies into a novel with a similar title. The creation of fan art also benefits the popular culture industry because it helps market the media product, namely Haechan (NCT), to the general public."
