The main intention of this paper is to analyze the hidden racial stereotyping between blacks and whites in The Blind Side by identifying the characters. Stereotyping, which is done by a group of people about other groups, exists in both the real life and fictional works like films. In The Blind Side, the existence of racial stereotyping is in a hidden layer. Poverty and other forms of stereotype toward blacks such as black's portrayal as the inferior one, and the notion of blacks as a threat in the film seem acceptable to both races. This undoubtedly strengthens the idea of the stereotype toward blacks. The paper sheds light on understanding how racial stereotyping in the movie can be very subtly conveyed, and therefore there is always a possibility that such subtlety also exists in society.

ABSTRACT
In a multicultural society, there is a potential for conflict caused by cultural differences.
However, this possibility of a disharmony can be transformed into an intercultural bound if
each party can open up and be willing to undergo a process of adaptation to the exclusion of various prejudices. This kind of problem often showed in Canadian Literature. Gabrielle Roy,
a female Canadian writer, presents it in one short story autobiography titled L' Italienne. This
article discusses the interactions that occur in a society of different cultures by using the
concept of social interaction, social identity, cultural identity and stereotypes based on the
theory of narrative structure?s Roland Barthes and sequence of Schmitt and Viala. ;In a multicultural society, there is a potential for conflict caused by cultural differences.

"Sekilas, film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (2005) sering kali terlihat sebagai sebuah cerita mengenai kebaikan melawan kejahatan di mata anak-anak, dengan binatang-binatang yang dapat berbicara dan pertempuran tanpa pertumpahan darah.

In a glance, the film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (2005) was often seen as tale of good versus evil through the eyes of children, with talking animals and non-bloody battles. However, when studied at a deeper level, the film depicted traditional gender roles that led to gender stereotyping. This paper attempted to find how the issue of gender emerged from the role and characterization of minor characters, how they disseminated the traditional gender stereotypes and made the major characters internalize the stereotypes as permanent parts of their personalities, and the reinforcement of patriarchal values through the dissemination of traditional gender stereotypes done by the minor characters. Millett’s gender theory and Bem’s gender-schema theory were theories used to answer the research issues proposed. Brannon’s view on gender stereotypes also led to the findings of minor characters’ gender stereotypes in the film. In the end, the paper came to a conclusion that the dissemination of traditional gender stereotypes done by minor characters made the major ones internalizing the traditional gender stereotypes that reinforced the patriarchal values.

This paper discusses the media?s stereotypes of homosexual men and heterosexualization in the Imitation Game film. As the most watched independent film in 2014, the Imitation Game is an influential homosexual-themed work following its two predecessors Will and Grace (1998-2006) and Brokeback Mountain (2005). Using textual analysis theory by Alan McKee to examine the mise-en-scenes and the narratives, this study has found that despite the seemingly non-stereotypical portrayal of Alan Turing as a gay mathematician, some of his character traits are still tied to the classical homosexual men stereotypes in the media ? the effeminate, flamboyant, and victim/villain personality. Furthermore, the heterosexualization which overvalues the relationship between a gay man and a straight woman is very prevalent in the film and diminishing the homosexual nature of the main character. The heterosexualization that happens in the Imitation Game is a repetitive formula that also occurs in Will and Grace and Brokeback Mountain. Thus, despite the society?s growing reception toward LGBT communities, the US media still has a long way to go before it could present homosexuality without overshadowing it with hetero-normativity.;This paper discusses the media?s stereotypes of homosexual men and heterosexualization in the Imitation Game film.

In the media, Asian American men have been portrayed with many different stereotypes. They are usually depicted as short, not attractive, and submissive. However, in this era, there are some changes in the portrayal of Asian Americans. Examining two television series, titled Two Broke Girls 2011 and Young Hungry 2014 , this paper spotlights the differences in the depiction of Asian American men. Using Stuart Hall rsquo;s 2013 theory of representation and also Raewyn Connell rsquo;s 1995 theory of masculinities, this paper will focus on analysing the differences of each character through their physical appearances, their knowledge about American culture, their interaction with other characters, and how they are being emasculated. By analysing all these aspects, this writing highlight how Asian American male characters from each television series portray the stereotype. The result shows that the two characters, Han Lee and Elliot Park, are being emasculated, but in a different way. Elliot Park, from Young Hungry, is being emasculated by being a gay. Whereas, Han Lee, from Two Broke Girls is being emasculated because he tries so hard to blend in and to be accepted by the other characters. "

ABSTRACT
While recent studies have analysed the perpetuation of Latina stereotypes in American popular culture, few research have discussed about the defiance against the stereotypes represented by certain Latina characters. The popular Broadway musical In The Heights 2008 is one of the works that tries to challenge the stereotypical portrayal of Latinos. By doing character analysis using Keller rsquo s three types of Latina representations 1994 , this paper attempts to analyse the Latina representation in the character Nina Rosario. It found that the representation manifests an act of defiance against the perpetuation of Latina stereotypes."

Stereotypes towards certain communities still exist in this present time. One of the stereotypes comes towards Black Women community with the popular title “Angry Black Women.” Moreover, women in general also get stereotyped. This is shown by the existence of women’s language theories by Lakoff (1973) and Zhu (2019). The theories are made to include all women’s language features in conversations based on stereotyping. Therefore, this paper aims to evaluate the two stereotypes towards the African American women community and women in general by applying the women’s language theories chosen as the analyzing tools. This paper will use two corpora, which are Rose’s dialogues in Fences (2016) and Lupita Nyong’o’s dialogues in an interview with Jimmy Fallon (2022). Both Rose and Nyong’o have unique speaking styles that display their characters as they possess some features in each theory chosen in which their socioeconomic backgrounds also play significant roles to form their language features. Since this paper has its limitations, further study needs to be conducted, following the variations of women’s identity and modernity."
