"Nowadays electronic mail (e-mail) is a communication tool that is often used in everyday life. One of the utilizations of e-mail is used in practical purposes such as making a request. This paper provided views on linguistic politeness in submitting an e-mail containing the request based on e-mail data written by native speakers of Japanese (J) and the Indonesian Japanese language learners (IJL). The data was analyzed using the theory of politeness expressed by Brown and Levinson. This paper focused on the strategy that what more likely was to be used by J and IJL in the expression of request. In the final part, it concluded the view about what should be considered in connection with the linguistic politeness in Japanese e-mail containing request. It was intended for learners of foreign language, especially Indonesian people, to know the limitation of politeness, so that IJL will not repeat the same mistakes in the future. "

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berfokus pada pengaruh permission e-mail marketing terhadap brand image dan consumer behavior. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain riset konklusif desriptif single cross-sectional kepada 185 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Responden yang dipilih merupakan responden yang memiliki Starbucks Card dan menyetujui untuk dikirimkan e-mail oleh Starbucks. Setelah mengolah data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling SEM dengan AMOS 21, didapatkan hasil bahwa permission e-mail marketing mempunyai peran dalam membangun attitudes toward e-mail ad, attitudes toward e-mail ad mempunyai peran dalam membangun brand image, serta brand image dapat mendorong consumer behavior. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa perceived intrusiveness tidak melemahkan secara signifikan pengaruh permission e-mail marketing terhadap attitudes toward e-mail ad, serta brand image tidak dapat secara langsung mempengaruhi consumer response tanpa melalui intentions toward sender. Hasil lain yang didapatkan adalah dua aspek dari permission e-mail marketing, yaitu quality of information dan financial rewards merupakan aspek terpenting dalam membangun attitudes toward e-mail ad yang positif.

ABSTRACTThe focus of this study is the effect of permission e mail marketing on brand image and consumer behavior. This study used conclusive descriptive single cross sectional research and the 185 respondents were drawn through purposive sampling. The criteria of the respondents must had Starbucks Card and allow Starbucks to send them e mail advertising. The gathered data then analyzed using Structural Equation Model SEM with AMOS 21. The result showed that permission e mail marketing had a role in building attitudes toward e mail ad, attitudes toward e mail ad had a role in building brand image and brand image encouraged consumer behavior. The result also stated that perceived intrusiveness didn rsquo t weaken the effect of permission e mail marketing on attitudes toward e mail ad and brand image couldn rsquo t affect consumer response without intentions toward sender. Beside that, it also stated that the two aspects of permission e mail marketing, which was quality of information and financial rewards, had an important part in building positive attitudes toward e mail ad."

"ABSTRAKUntuk memastikan dan mengawasi pelaksanaan terhadap dipatuhinya Undang-Undang Nomor 5 Tahun 1999 dibentuk suatu komisi melalui Keputusan Presiden No 75 Tahun 1999 dan diberi nama Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha atau KPPU. Dalam pasal 4 huruf a Keppres No. 75 Tahun 1999 Jo Pasal 35 huruf a UU No. 5 tahun 1999 diatur bahwa KPPU mempunyai tugas melakukan penilaian terhadap perjanjian yang dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya praktek monopoli dan atau persaingan usaha tidak sehat sebagaimana diatur dalam pasal 4 sampai dengan Pasal 16 Undang-undang Nomor 5 tahun 1999. Berdasarkan tugasnya tersebut KPPU melakukan penilaian terhadap E-mail dan Analisa ekonomi dalam putusan Nomor: 04/KPPU-I/2016 dan putusan Nomor: 17/KPPU-I/2010 dalam membuktikan adanya penetapan harga oleh para pelaku usaha. Penetapan harga yang terdapat dalam Pasal 5 ayat 1 merupakan penetapan harga yang bersifat horizontal horizontal price fixing . Penetapan harga horizontal adalah penetapan harga yang dilakukan oleh pelaku usaha dengan pesaingnya untuk menetapkan harga yang harus dibayar oleh konsumen atas suatu barang atau jasa pada pasar bersangkutan yang sama.

ABSTRACTTo ensure and oversee the implementation of Law Number 5 Year 1999 established a Commission by Presidential Decree Number 75 Year 1999 and was named the Commission for The Supervision of Bussiness Competition Republic of Indonesia KPPU RI. In Article 4 Letter a Presidential Decree Number 75 Year 1999 Jo Article 35 letter a Law Number 5 Year 1999 set that KPPU has the task of conducting the assessment of the agreement may result in the practice of monopolies and or an unhealthy business competition as set in article 4 to article 16 Law Number 5 Year 1999. Based on that job, KPPU do an assessment of e mail and economic analysis in the KPPU decision Number 04 KPPU I 2016 and Number 17 KPPU I 2010 for proving the existence of price fixing by the businessman. Price fixing in article 5 paragraph 1 is the horizontal price fixing. Horizontal price fixing is done by businessman with competitors to set the price that should be paid by consumers on a goods or services in the same relevant market."
