"Skripsi ini membahas tentang tokoh dan penokohan yang terdapat dalam novel Ikhtilas karya Hani Naqshabandi. Novel Arab ini diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan judul Wanita Terpasung yang cerita di dalam novel diangkat dari kisah nyata. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif-analisis untuk mendeskripsikan lalu menganalisis data secara mendalam. Selain itu, menggunakan pendekatan struktural untuk membangun hubungan antar unsur untrinsik di dalam novel. Hasil penelitian tokoh dan penokohan yang terdapat di dalam novel Ikhtilas, penulis menemukan karakteristik-karakteristik tokoh yang dipengaruhi lingkungan masyarakat dan tempat tinggalnya. Selain itu, terdapat pula karakteristik tokoh-tokoh yang sangat beragam.

This Thesis discussed about character and characterization in Ikhtilas novel by Hani Naqshabandi. This Arabic novel was translated to Indonesian with "Wanita Terpasung" as title which is a true story. The writer used descriptive-analytic method to describe then analyze the data profoundly. Furthermore, structural approach was used to build connection between intrinsic elements in the novel. As the result, the writer found characters in the novel were affected by communities and their habitats. However, there were also diversity in characters."

"ABSTRAKTulisan ini membahas mengenai tokoh dan penokohan dalam novel remaja Belanda, Achtste-Groeper Hulien Niet 1999 karya Jacques Vriens. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan penokohan pada tokoh utama dan dianalisis berdasarkan keterlibatan, peran, dan perkembangannya dalam menghadapi konflik di dalam cerita. Dalam menganalisis tokoh, metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menggunakan studi pustaka, yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan dengan merujuk pada sumber kepustakaan. Teori yang digunakan sebagai acuan dalam menganalisis adalah teori tokoh dan penokohan. Akkie tidak mengalami perubahan watak terkait dengan masalah yang dihadapi. Ketegaran Akkie dapat dijadikan teladan yang baik bagi pembaca.

ABSTRACTThis journal discusses the character and characterization in Dutch adolescent novel, Achtste Groeper Huilen Niet 1990 by Jacques Vriens. The aim of this study is to describe the characteristic of the main character and analyzed based on her involvement, role and development to face the conflict in the story. The method used to analyze the character is descriptive qualitative. In addition, this journal is also used literature study, a research method that is done by referring literature sources. The theory which is use as a reference was the theory of character and characterization. Akkie did not changed her character in related to the problem at hand. Akkie rsquo s effectiveness can be a good example for the reader."

"Skripsi ini mengangkat novel Dhuwit Asuransi karya St. Sri Purnanto yang dimuat bersambung dalam majalah mingguan berbahasa Jawa Panjebar Semangat edisi IV-XV Januari-April 2000. Analisis dilakukan terhadap unsur-unsur pembangun cerita dalam novel tersebut dengan menggunakan teori struktural seperti yang dijabarkan oleh Prof. Dr. Panuti Sudjiman dalam Memahami Cerita Rekaan. Pendekatan yang dipakai adalah pendekatan obyektif yang mengarah pada analisis intrinsik cerita. Sedangkan, metode yang dipergunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif.Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana struktur di dalam novel Dhuwit Asuransi yang terdiri atas tokoh, alur, latar, dan tema saling berkaitan untuk membangun cerita tersebut.

This undergraduate thesis took the novel Dhuwit Asuransi written by St. Sri Purnanto which continuously posted in the weekly Javanese magazine Panjebar Semangat 4th to 15th edition January-April 2000 as its main analysis object. The research will focused in the elements which build the story of the novel Dhuwit Asuransi by using the structural theory as explained by Prof. Dr. Panuti Sudjiman in Memahami Cerita Rekaan. Objective approach which refers to story intrinsic analysis also used in this analysis. Whereas, the method used here is descriptive analysis method.The last results in this analysis explains how does the structures of the novel Dhuwit Asuransi which consists of characters, plot, settings, and theme correlate each other to build the story."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai pencitraan perempuan Jawa tahun 1920-an melalui novel yang terbit tahun 1934, berjudul Larasati Modern karya Sri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode intrinsik dengan teori struktural. Novel ini berkisah tentang seorang perempuan modern yang mempertahankan hubungan dengan kekasihnya melalui nasihat dari Ibunya.Hasil penelitian menyatakan, pada umumnya perempuan tahun 1920-an yang sudah berpendidikan dan berpikiran maju akan melupakan ajaran leluhurnya, namun tidak demikian dengan tokoh Kadarwati dalam novel ini. Kadarwati merupakan cerminan perempuan Jawa modern yang masih memegang teguh prinsip-prinsip ajaran tradisional dan tidak melupakan kedudukannya sebagai perempuan yang patuh dan menghormati pria.

The focus of this study is 1920?s women?s Javanese images looks from novel Larasati Modern by Sri that published in 1934. Larasati Modern?s storied about a young modern woman that tries to keep her relationship by advice from her mother. This research used intrinsic method and structural theory.The conclusions find, common 1920's intellect woman sometimes doesn?t take seriously about their ancestor's admonition, but that doesn't exist in character of this novel. Kadarwati is modern Javanese woman that consistent about traditional admonition and try keeping her position as a woman that have to obedient and respect to the man."

Tujuan dari penelitian iniadalah untuk memaparkan lebih lanjut persamaan dan perbedaan penokohanCheng Dieyi dari masing-masing media. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkanbahwa penokohan Cheng Dieyi di dalam novel lebih menonjol dibandingkandalam film karena penyesuaian yang dibutuhkan akibat perbedaan darikarakteristik masing-masing media. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah film Farewell My Concubine dan novel 霸王别姬 Bawang Bie Ji (Farewell MyConcubine) terbitan kedua. Selain itu, penulis juga menggunakan literatur-literaturyang relevan untuk menunjang penelitian.

This undergraduate thesis analyzes the main character Cheng Dieyi in the film and novel 霸王别姬 Bawang Bie Ji (Farewell My Concubine). The purpose of this study is to explain both the similarities and differences of Cheng Dieyi's characterization between the film and novel. The conclusion of this study indicates that the characterization of Cheng Dieyi in the novel is more prominent than in the film due to the characteristics of both mediums. The sources of this study are the film Farewell My Concubine and the second edition of novel 霸王别姬 Bawang Bie Ji (Farewell My Concubine). Moreover, the author also uses otherrelevant sources to support the study."

"ABSTRAKNovel Genduk karya Sundari Mardjuki bertema suka duka kehidupan petani tembakau di Temanggung, Jawa Tengah. Novel ini memfokuskan pembicaraannya pada tokoh utama, yakni seorang anak berusia 11 tahun bernama Genduk. Anak perempuan ini telah kehilangan ayahnya sejak ia masih bayi. Dalam situasi demikian, pengarang menggambarkan secara dramatis bagaimana Genduk menghadapi kehidupannya di lingkungan petani tembakau yang miskin tahun 1970-an. Penelitian ini menggunakan unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik sebagai acuan. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini bagaimana pengaruh Peristiwa Kanigoro 1965 terhadap kehidupan masyarakat petani tembakau di Temanggung seperti tergambar melalui tokoh Genduk dan Ibunya. Peristiwa Kanigoro 1965 ternyata memberikan dampak kemelaratan dan kesedihan bagi Genduk dan Ibunya yang kehilangan sosok kepala keluarga. Namun, akibat peristiwa tersebut, Genduk berhasil terlahir sebagai sosok anak perempuan yang kuat, mandiri, dan berani akibat ketidakhadiran sosok ayahnya dalam hidupnya. Dampak yang ditimbulkan akibat kekerasan PKI ternyata juga dirasakan oleh keluarga korban yang ditinggalkan.

ABSTRACTGenduk is a novel by Sundari Mardjuki with the theme of grief on the life of tobacco farmers in Central Java. The novel focuses on the main character, an 11 year old girl named Genduk. This girl has lost her father since she was a baby. In such situation, the author dramatically illustrates how Genduk faced his life in the poverty stricken tobacco farm of the 1970s. This study uses intrinsic and extrinsic element as a reference. The expected result of this reasearch is how the influence of Kanigoro rsquo s Event on the life of the tobacco farmer community in Temanggung as illustrated through figures Genduk and her mother. The event of Kanigoro 1965 turned out to give the effects of poverty and sadness for Genduk and her mother who lost the head of the family. However, due to these events, Genduk successfully born as a strong girl figure, independent, and courageous due to the absence of her father figure in his life. The impact caused by PKI violence was also felt by the families of abandoned victims."
