ABSTRAKMembentuk hubungan romantis berupa pernikahan adalah tugas perkembangan dewasa muda. Pola pernikahan di Jakarta dan sekitarnya pada masa kini menunjukkan bahwa individu juga menikah atas keputusannya sendiri selain faktor eksternal seperti lingkungan dan keluarga. Faktor individual yang diketahui memprediksi desakan menikah adalah relationship contingency of self-worth. Selain itu, alasan individual untuk menikah yang ditemukan di masa kini berdasar pada cinta yang dirasakan pada pasangan (Sprecher & Hatfield, 2015) dan keyakinan-keyakinan tentang pernikahan (Berry, 2012) yang digambarkan oleh romantic beliefs. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengetahui apakah relationship contingency of self-worth dan romantic beliefs memprediksi desakan menikah pada dewasa muda di Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 212 orang. Ditemukan bahwa model multiple regression relationship contingency of self worth dan romantic beliefs memprediksi desakan menikah secara signifikan. Model relationship contingency of self-worth memprediksi desakan menikah secara signifikan, sedangkan model romantic beliefs tidak memprediksi desakan menikah secara signifikan. Ditemukan juga bahwa tiga dimensi romantic beliefs berkorelasi positif dengan desakan menikah secara signifikan. Dimensi-dimensi tersebut adalah love finds a way, idealization, dan love at first sight.
ABSTRACT;Establishing romantic relationship in the form of marriage is a developmental task for young adults. Marriage patterns in Greater Jakarta have shown that young adults in the present day also marry as an individual decision other than external factors such as social environment and family. Individual factor that has known predicting mate urgency is relationship contingency of self-worth. Another individual reason to mate that is found lately is based on love (Sprecher & Hatfield, 2015) and beliefs about marriage (Berry, 2012) that is explained as romantic beliefs. This research aims to examine the prediction of relationship contingency of self-worth and romantic beliefs toward mate urgency on young adults in Greater Jakarta. This research gathered 212 respondents. It was found that multiple regression model of relationship contingency of self worth and romantic beliefs predicted mate urgency significantly. Relationship contingency of self-worth model predicted mate urgency significantly while romantic beliefs model did not predict mate urgency significantly. It was also found that three dimensions of romantic beliefs have a positive correlation with mate urgency. "Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemilihan pasangan pada perempuan dewasa muda dilihat dari sudut pandang psikologi evolusi. Ahli psikologi evolusi telah mengemukakan bahwa sexual attractiveness yang dimiliki seseorang merupakan penunjuk potensi reproduksinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen dengan partisipan memilih stimulus gambar ukuran tubuh normal dan tidak normal untuk dijadikan pasangannya. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa perempuan berusia 18 - 25 tahun, yang berasal dari daerah rural dan daerah urban.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan antara kelompok yang mendapat stimulus gambar laki-laki dengan body attractiveness ukuran tubuh normal dengan kelompok yang mendapatkan stimulus gambar laki-laki dengan body attractiveness ukuran tubuh tidak normal pada pemilihan pasangan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa body attractiveness laki-laki dengan ukuran tubuh normal lebih banyak dipilih pada daerah urban.
This study was conducted to determine the mate selection of young adult women from the perspective of evolutionary psychology. Evolutionary psychologists have suggested that sexual attractiveness is an indicator of one's own reproductive potential. This research was conducted with an experimental method with participants selecting the stimulus image body size is normal and not normal to be a partner. Participants in this study were female students aged 18-25 years, who come from rural areas and urban areas. The results showed that there were significant differences between the groups that received stimulus pictures of men with body attractiveness normal body size with the group receiving the stimulus pictures of men with body attractiveness abnormal body size in mate selection. The results also showed that body attractiveness of men with normal body size were chosen in urban areas."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh style penggunaan makeup wanita terhadap kecenderungan pria untuk memilih wanita yang menggunakan makeup tersebut sebagai pasangannya. Menurut teori evolusi, facial attractiveness berperan sebagai sexual weapon dan sexual ornament dalam strategi pemilihan pasangan. Makeup diketahui dapat memanipulasi facial attractiveness, sehingga besar kemungkinan penggunaan makeup merupakan tool yang efektif bagi wanita dalam menjalankan strategi pemilihan pasangan. Pada penelitian ini, tiga variasi style makeup (tanpa makeup, daytime makeup, after dark beauty makeup) ditentukan berdasarkan pilot study, menghasilkan tiga set foto wanita dengan ketiga variasi makeup yang masing-masing setnya berisi tujuh foto. Pengukuran kecenderungan pria memilih pasangan diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur Romantic Desirability (Buss & Hill, 2008) dalam bentuk kuesioner. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pria berusia 19-40 tahun, tidak sedang menjalin hubungan romantis, heteroseksual, dan tidak mengenal subjek dalam foto secara pribadi dengan jumlah partisipan 90 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari style penggunaan makeup terhadap kecenderungan pria memilih pasangan F(2, 87) = 2,018, p 0,14 > 0,05. Oleh karena itu, style penggunaan makeup bukan merupakan aspek penting bagi wanita dalam melakukan strategi pemilihan pasangan.
This study examined the effect of females? makeup style toward male tendency to choose the makeup wearer as their potential mate. According to evolution theory, facial attractiveness held a role as sexual weapon and sexual ornament in mating strategy. Makeup is capable of manipulating facial attractiveness, so it is likely that makeup can be used as an effective tool for female to work on their mating strategy. In this study, three variations of makeup style (no makeup, daytime makeup, after dark beauty makeup) were decided by pilot study, produced three sets of photos of each makeup variations. Every set consist of seven female photos. Male tendency to choose potential mate measured by using romantic desirability questionnaire (Buss & Hill, 2008). Participants of this study are male within the age range of 19-40, currently not in a relationship, heterosexual, and not personally familiar with any subject of the photos. Total participants are 90 subjects. The result of this study shows that there is no significant effect of makeup style towards male tendency to choose their potential mate F(2, 87) = 2,018, p 0,14 > 0,05. Thus, makeup style is not an important aspect for female to work on their mating strategy."

"Formula 1 is one of the most prestigious motorsports in the world. Formula 1's brand has lately been revitalized, and the sport is expected to rise to the top of the world's sports rankings. As part of its deployment, Formula 1 partnered with Netflix to develop a documentary. The purpose of this study is to examine how the Formula 1 brand is being rejuvenated utilizing Brand Revitalization and Sports Communication theories. The literature review method was used, which entailed acquiring and reviewing material in the form of journal articles, books, and research reports on brand revival, Netflix Drive to Survive, and Formula One. Aside from that, the author acquired secondary data from news stories on the internet and Formula 1 media uploads. Formula 1's brand renewal through a documentary series, according to this study, has had a substantial impact on the amount of people who watch the sport. This research offers a unique perspective on how other athletic companies might learn from Formula 1's success in reinvigorating their businesses.
Formula 1 adalah salah satu olahraga motor paling bergengsi di dunia. Formula 1 akhir-akhir ini telah direvitalisasi, dan olahraga ini diharapkan untuk naik ke peringkat teratas olahraga dunia. Sebagai bagian dari penerapannya, Formula 1 bermitra dengan Netflix untuk mengembangkan film dokumenter. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana merek Formula 1 diremajakan dengan memanfaatkan teori Brand Revitalisasi dan Komunikasi Olahraga. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review yaitu memperoleh dan mereview materi berupa artikel jurnal, buku, dan laporan penelitian tentang brand revival, Netflix Drive to Survive, dan Formula One. Selain itu, penulis memperoleh data sekunder dari berita di internet dan unggahan media Formula 1. Pembaruan merek Formula 1 melalui serial dokumenter, menurut penelitian ini, telah berdampak besar pada jumlah orang yang menonton olahraga tersebut. Penelitian ini menawarkan perspektif unik tentang bagaimana perusahaan atletik lain dapat belajar dari kesuksesan Formula 1 dalam menghidupkan kembali bisnis mereka."
