"[ ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini meneliti tentang persepsi dan kebutuhan bahasa Inggris mengenai Bahasa Inggris untuk Tujuan
Khusus pada siswa kelas 11 SMA Negeri 116 Ragunan. Hal ini dikarenakan para siswa di sekolah tersebut
adalah atlet profesional remaja. Perbedaan kebutuhan bahasa Inggris dengan rata-rata siswa SMA lain
menjadikan penelitian ini signifikan. SMA Negeri 116 Ragunan memberlakukan kurikulum terbaru di
Indonesia, Kurikulum 2013, yang bisa dikombinasikan dengan tujuan khusus para siswa. Metode yag
digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, menggunakan kuesioner tertutup dan
wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi bahasa Inggris para siswa masih rendah di empat
aspek (mendengar, membaca, menulis, dan berbicara), namun yang terendah adalah kecakapan berbicara.
Penting bagi para guru untuk mempersiapkan siswanya dengan kecakapan yang paling mereka butuhkan dan
memenuhi perubahan kurikulum di Indonesia.

ABSTRACT
This study investigates English language perception and needs for English for Specific Purpose of 11th grade
students at 116 State High School Ragunan, since the students are teenage professional athletes. The
difference English need with the average high school students’ need make this study significant. The school
is also applying the latest Indonesian curriculum, Kurikulum 2013 which can be combined with the specific
purpose of the students. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, using closed-questionnaire
and interview. The result shows that the students’ perception of English is still low in four aspects (listening,
reading, writing, and speaking), but the lowest is speaking skill. It is important for the teachers to provide

"This study examines the abolition of English subject for elementary students in Indonesia?s 2013 curriculum. English subject has been abolished due to the poor result of PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) that led to the making of a new curriculum. The new curriculum focuses on character building and put more hours (English subject hours) into it. The non-existence of English subject is believed to hinder the progress of Indonesia?s next leader to compete in the even-more globalized world. This study argues about the importance of teaching English to early-age children by referring to some studies from Phillipson (1993), Brown (2007) and Pennycook (2007). After some research done on comparing 2013 curriculum and English Language Teaching theories, the argument that English postponed Indonesian students? character building, which was proposed by the Ministry of Education and Culture, was overthrown by the fact that there has not been any actual research on national?s morality decrease done by westernization (the school of thought which puts English as the main weapon of westernization). This study concludes that without any further proof on English diminishing national?s morality, English subject still needs to be taught to elementary level students."

Fokus utama dalam riset ini adalah memperlihatkan kesalahan maksim dalam percakapan antar tokoh yang dijadikan sebagai
strategi humor dalam film. Korpus peneilitan ini adalah film serial Mind Your Language episode pertama dari musim serial
pertama. Film ini menggambarkan sebuah tempat kursus bahasa Inggris multinasional di Inggris. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan
semua pelanggaran maksim, cara, relasi, kualitas, dan kuantitas, dilanggar dalam film ini. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah
pelanggaran maksim cara merupakan pelanggaran maksim yang paling sering dilanggar, karena pelanggaran maksim ini

concluded that jokes can be created by violating maxim of manner because this maxim is very potential in creating incongruity in
conversation, which is one of humor causes;This research focused on finding how humor can be created by violating maxims in film. The corpus of this research was Mind

"Terjemahan beranotasi ini membahas masalah dalam terjemahan pertama The Famous Five: Five Go To Demon 's Rock. Dengan membandingkan teks sumber dengan teks terjemahan pertama teridentifikasi dua jenis masalah. Pertama, di teks sumber dihilangkan beberapa bagian yang berupa klausa, kalimat, dan paragraf. Kedua, terdapat bagian teks sumber yang diterjemahkan, namun mengakibatkan kesalahpahaman pada pembaca teks terjemahan pertama. Akibatnya, pembaca teks sumber dan pembaca teks sasaran pertama menerima tanggapan yang berbeda, deskripsi cerita ada yang terpotong, dan ada penggambaran karakter yang tidak jelas. Kesalahan yang terjadi pada terjemahan pertama mungkin disebabkan oleh ketidaktelitian penerjemah pertama. Akan tetapi, mungkin kesalahan itu juga disebabkan oleh pengeditan dan kesalahan cetak di penerbit. Oleh karena itu, untuk membetulkan bagian yang tidak tepat, saya membuat terjemahan yang bare dengan menerapkan teori yang ditawarkan oleh Newmark dan Nida dan Taber. Terjemahan yang baru ini diharapkan dapat memberikan tanggapan yang sama antara pembaca TSa dan TSu.

Problems found in the previous translation of the novel, The Famous Five: Five Go To Demon 's Rock will be discussed through this annotated translation. By comparing the source text and the previous translation, two categories of problems are identified. First, there are some missing parts: clauses, sentences, and paragraphs. Second, there are also some translated parts which affect to the misunderstanding to the previous translation readers. As a result, the source text and the previous translation readers get the point of the story with different effects, there are missing plots description, and an indistinct character description. Those mistakes may occur because of previous translator is less accurate. However, some mistakes may occur as the impact of the editing process and misprint at the publisher. Therefore, to make them correct, retranslation is done. The retranlsation refers to some theories given by Newmark and Nida and Taber. This new translation is expected to transfer similar effects of the source text to the target text reader."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kesesuaian penerapan kurikulum bahasa Inggris 1994 dalam buku ajar bahasa Inggris untuk SMP. Di samping itu, tujuan penelitian ini juga untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat signifikansi kesesuaian penerapan Kurikulum Bahasa Inggris 1994 tersebut dalam Buku Ajar Bahasa Inggris untuk SMP.
Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari tiga buah buku ajar bahasa Inggris untuk SMP yang terdiri dari dua puluh lima tema, yaitu kelas satu terdiri dari delapan tema, kelas dua terdiri dari sembilan tema, dan kelas tiga terdiri dari delapan tema. Buku ajar tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan daftar pertanyaan. Dana pertanyaan tersebut diperoleh melalui sintesis kriteria yang dikemukakan oleh Cunningsworth (1984), Rivers (1981), Nurhadi (1995) dengan memperhatikan kegiatan-kegiatan pembelajaran yang terdapat dalam kurikulum bahasa Inggris 1994.
Untuk menjelaskan prosentase kesesuaian penerapan kurikulum bahasa Inggris 1994 dalam Buku Ajar Bahasa Inggris untuk SMP digunakan skala Likert. Selanjutnya, untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat signifikansi kesesuaian penerapan kurikulum bahasa Inggris 1994 dalam buku ajar bahasa Inggris untuk SMP digunakan Uji-beda T-test.
Proporsi tingkat kesesuaian berdasarkan uji deskriptif (skala lima) adalah 65%. Artinya, kurikulum bahasa Inggris 1994 yang sudah diterapkan dalam buku ajar bahasa Inggris untuk SMP kelas 1, 2, dan 3 adalah 65%.
Hasil Uji-beda dengan menggunakan T-test dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan derajat kebebasan 9 menunjukkan bahwa T-hitung < T-tabel yaitu 0,370 < 2,262. Artinya, tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kurikulum bahasa Inggris 1994 dengan buku ajar bahasa Inggris untuk SMP.
Jadi berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kurikulum bahasa Inggris 1994 cukup baik diterapkan dalam buku ajar bahasa Inggris untuk SMP.

The purpose of this research is to describe the compliance of English Language Textbook for Junior High Schools with the 1994 English Curriculum. In addition, this research aims at identifying the level of significance of the compliance of English Language Textbooks to the 1994 Curriculum.
Three Junior High School English Textbooks were used as the source of data for this research. These books comprised twenty-five different themes: eight themes in the first grade, nine themes in the second grade and eight themes in the third grade. These textbooks were analyzed using a checklist. This checklist was compiled by synthesizing criteria put forwards by Cunningsworth (1984), Rivers (1981), Nurhadi (1995) by looking the learning activities that there were in 1994 English Curriculum.
The Likert scale was used to measure the percentage of compliance with the 1994 English Language Curriculum; The Differential T-test was used to identify the significance of the implementation of the 1994 English Language Curriculum in English Language Textbooks for Junior High School.
The percentage of compliance based on the descriptive test (on a scale of five) is 65%. In other words, 65% of the 1994 English Language Curriculum has been implemented in English Language Textbooks for grade 1 through 3 of Junior High School.
The results of the T-test use a significant difference of compliance of 5% and a degree of difference of 9. This means that there is no significant difference between the 1994 English Language Curriculum and the English Language Textbooks for SMP.
Therefore based on the research findings it can be concluded that the 1994 English Language Curriculum for Junior High School has been implemented quite well in the English Language Textbooks for Junior High School.

"Skripsi ini membahas interferensi pelafalan vokal , o:, , dan : dalam bahasa Jerman oleh pembelajar bahasa Jerman yang berbahasa ibu bahasa Jawa. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII Jurusan Bahasa angkatan 2008 di SMAN 1 Sukoharjo. Selain itu dibahas juga jenis interferensi yang dilakukan oleh informan dan penyebab terjadinya interferensi tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data diambil dari hasil rekaman pelafalan kata-kata yang mengandung vokal , , , dan  dalam bahasa Jerman oleh informan.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadinya interferensi pelafalan oleh informan. Berdasarkan jenis interferensi menurut Ternes, terjadi 2 jenis interferensi yang dilakukan oleh informan, yaitu identifikasi dan penggantian fonem dengan fonem lain. Penyebab terjadinya interferensi karena informan belum memahami sistem bunyi bahasa Jerman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan agar siswa lebih sering berlatih mendengarkan dan melafalkan katakata dalam bahasa Jerman.

This essay discusses the interference of vowel pronunciation on , o:, , and : in German by the German learner whose mother tongue are Javanese. In this essay, the informants are 12th grade students of language major study at SMAN 1 Sukoharjo. Besides that, the kinds of interference being done by the informants and the cause of it are also discussed. The method of this essay is qualitative. And the sources are taken from the record of words pronunciation by the informants that contain , o:, , and : in German.
The result of this research shows that there is an interference conducted by the informants in pronouncing those vowels. According to kind of interference by Ternes, there are two kinds of interference conducted by the informants, such as: Identification, and the change of phoneme with another phoneme. This interference is caused by the lack of knowledge about the German sound by the informants. Based on the result of this research, the students are suggested to practice more on listening and pronouncing the German words.
