"Skripsi ini membahas kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka di Perpustakaan Universitas Bina Nusantara Kampus Anggrek. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka dan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara variabel bebas dengan kemampuan literasi pemustaka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar ke 100 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka tergolong baik berdasarkan indikator-indikator standar kompetensi literasi informasi perguruan tinggi dari ACRL namun masih ada beberapa kekurangan. Kemampuan literasi pemustaka juga dipengaruhi oleh frekuensi kunjungan ke perpustakaan dan tingkat semester pemustaka.

This research describes about information literacy skills of users at Binus University Library. The purpose of this research is to identify information literacy skills of users and to detect the correlation between independent variable and the information literacy skills of users. This research has descriptive-quantitative approach with survey method by using questionnaire which is applied to 100 respondents.

The results show that the information literacy of users is considered as good, based on Information Literacy Standards for Higher Education?s indicators (ACRL). However, this study also show that there were some drawbacks and obstacles in some items. Few items of Information literacy skills of users were influenced by user?s visiting frequency to library and their level of semester."

"ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas tentang ketersediaan informasi dalam jumlah besar dan beragam dalam format elektronik pada e-resources dan mesin pencari Google, yang digunakan pemustaka LKC Binus University kampus Anggrek hingga mengalami kondisi information overload. Fokus dalam penelitian ini pada pemaknaan information overload yang dialami pemustaka dalam menggunakan e-resources dan mesin pencari Google untuk menemukan informasi sesuai kebutuhannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan datanya melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasilnya adalah Information overload tidak selalu dimaknai pemustaka dengan gagalnya mengolah dan mengambil informasi dalam jumlah besar, namun kondisi dimana pemustaka dapat tetap bertahan menyelesaikan hingga mendapatkan informasi yang paling sesuai dengan kebutuhan ketika menggunakan e-resources dan mesin pencari Google.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses the availability of information in large and diverse amounts on e resources and Google search engine, which used LKC Binus University Campus Anggrek to experience the condition of information overload. The focus in this study on the meaning of information overload experienced by users in using e resources and Google search engine to find information as needed. The method used is case study research method with qualitative approach. Data collection through interviews, observation and documentation study. The result is Information overload is not always interpreted by user 39 s with the failure to process and retrieve information in large numbers, but the conditions where the users can stay afloat to get the most appropriate information to the needs when using e resources and search engine Google."

"Skripsi ini meneliti tentang kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) Angkatan 2012 dalam kegiatan perkuliahan sehari-hari. Literasi informasi adalah kemampuan untuk menemukan, mengevaluasi dan menggunakan informasi secara efektif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret-Mei tahun 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pengambilan data berupa kuesioner yang dibuat berdasarkan model literasi informasi The Big6 yang disusun oleh Eisenberg. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa mahasiswa FIB UI angkatan 2012 telah melakukan keenam tahapan The Big6 antara lain : berdiskusi dengan orang lain dalam penentuan topik, lebih memilih menggunakan search engine dalam menemukan informasi, menggunakan strategi pencarian sederhana dalam menemukan informasi dan mereka menggunakan aturan pengutipan dalam menggunakan sumber informasi.

This thesis examines the information literacy skills of undergraduate students in daily lectures activities. This thesis uses a quantitative approach, which using questionnaire for data collection. The questionnaire was made based on The Big 6 Information Literacy Models which developed by Eisenberg. The conclusion of this research is that students are rarely use the library in information literacy steps."

"Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan literasi informasi oleh mahasiswa pascasarjana program studi Ilmu Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia. Mahasiswa ini seharusnya memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi yang baik. Dalam penelitian ini fokus kajian lebih ditekankan pada kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menelusur informasi menggunakan fasilitas internet. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Model Empowering 8 digunakan sebagai metode dan menguji penerapan literasi informasi. Model Empowering 8 terdiri dari identifikasi, eksplorasi, seleksi, organisasi, menciptakan, presentasi, penilaian dan penerapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa pascasarjana Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia melakukan penerapan literasi informasi hanya beberapa tahap di Model Empowering 8. Namun tidak semua tahapan tersebut dilakukan, seperti tahapan yang termasuk pada bagian identifikasi, menciptakan, presentasi, dan penilaian.

The focus of this study is about information literacy application for postgraduate student of Library and Information Science, University of Indonesia batch 2013. The informant must have a good information literacy skill. Information literacy we talks about in this research related with internet. This study emphasize in the postgraduate student information literacy skill using internet. This is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The analysis of this study is based on Empowering 8 model which consist of identification, exploration, selection, organization, creation, presentation, assess, and application. The result of this research suggests that the postgraduate student of Library and Information Science apply some of the steps of Empowering 8 model. The steps that are not being applied areidentification, creation, presentation, and assess."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma kampus Depok. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan standar kompetensi literasi informasi di perguruan tinggi yang dibuat oleh ACRL (2000) sebagai alat ukur tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 97 orang.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma sudah baik. Namun, dalam hal strategi pencarian informasi masih kurang baik. Penyelenggaraan program literasi informasi dalam hal strategi pencarian informasi, tentunya dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi informasinya.

This thesis discusses about the information literacy skills of students of University of Gunadarma in Depok campus. This study used Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education by ACRL (2000) as measuring instruments of information literacy skill. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey research method and sample of as many as 97persons.

The result showed that their information literacy skills was good. However, in terms of information search strategy is still not good. Implementation of information literacy programme, in terms of information search strategies is needed by students to improve their information literacy skills."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kemampuan literasi informasi siswa di SMA Negeri 7 Purworejo. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei dan kuesioner sebagai instrumen untuk pengumpulan data. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 86 responden. Model yang digunakan sebagai pedoman instrument penelitan adalah The Big6 Skills. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi informasi siswa kelas XI lebih unggul dibanding kemampuan literasi informasi siswa kelas X, dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pelaksanaan program kelas literasi informasi terhadap tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi siswa.

This thesis describes about information literacy skills of students at SMA Negeri 7 Purworejo. This research is a descriptive quantitative approach using survey method and questionnaire as instruments to collect the data. The model used as the instrument research tool is The Big6 Skills. The result of this research shows that the information literacy skills of students in grade XI is better than the students in grade X, so it can be said that the implemention of information literacy class program influenced the level of information literacy skills of the students."

"Skripsi ini membahas kemampuan literasi informasi guru di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 7 Jakarta (MAN 7 Jakarta). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kemampuan literasi informasi guru dalam menunjang proses mengajar yang selanjutnya, mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam pencarian, pengelolaan dan mengevaluasi informasi, serta mengetahui peran perpustakaan sekolah dan pimpinan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi guru. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa guru memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi yang memadai namun masih perlu ditingkatkan dan dikembangkan; Di samping itu, kendala-kendala yang dihadapi adalah dalam proses pencarian informasi dan perpustakaan sekolah belum banyak berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi guru. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menyarankan kepala sekolah agar mendukung dan memfasilitasi para guru untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangkan kemampuan literasi informasi serta kemampuan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk menunjang proses mengajar selanjutnya, kepala sekolah dan perpustakan sekolah perlu melakukan pengadaan koleksi perpustakaan sekolah terutama koleksi buku penunjang untuk guru agar mereka dapat mengembangkan wawasan dan pengetahuan yang dimiliki.

This paper discusses the information literacy skills of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 7 Jakarta (MAN7 Jakarta). This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of information literacy support teachers in teaching process further, identify obstacles faced by teachers in the process of information searching, information management and information evaluation, as well as to know the role of the school library and school leaders in fulfilling the information needs of teachers.

The results of this research show that teachers already have sufficient information literacy skills however, their information literacy skills need to be improved and developed further; Addtionally, there are some obstacles such as in information retrieval process and lack of supports from the school library in meeting the information needs of teachers.

The research suggests that the principal support and facilitate the teachers in improving and developing their information literacy skills, as well as improving the ability to use information technology to support the teaching process. It is also suggested that the principal and the school libray need to develop and procure school library collections, specifically the supporting book/material collection for teachers so that they can develop their insights and knowledge further."

"ABSTRACTPenelitian ini membahas implementasi literasi informasi di Perpustakaan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi implementasi literasi informasi di Perpustakaan Kemendikbud melalui program kegiatan yang dibuat oleh perpustakaan dan diselenggarakan secara berkala setiap tahun. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi literasi informasi yang dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan Kemendikbud melalui program kegiatannya dirancang selain untuk mendukung salah satu program organisasi induknya yaitu Gerakan Literasi Sekolah GLS , juga untuk memperkenalkan konsep literasi informasi kepada para siswa di jenjang pendidikan sekolah. Implementasi program terdiri atas beberapa jenis kegiatan seperti lokakarya literasi informasi, library tour, dan permainan interaktif yang disebut lsquo;treasures hunt rsquo;. Walaupun program masih dikemas dengan sederhana, namun respon positif dari peserta maupun manfaat yang didapatkan oleh mereka membuat program ini dinilai dapat terus dijalankan bahkan dikembangkan menjadi lebih baik lagi.

ABSTRACTThis research discuss the implementation of information literacy in Ministry of Education and Culture Library. The aim of this research is to identify the implementation of information literacy through their program which the library held annually. The approach used in this research is qualitative approach with case study method. Collection of the data is carried out through depth interview, observation, and document analysis. Results of the research show that the implementation of information literacy which held by Ministry of Education and Culture Library, planned to support one of their mother institution rsquo s program called Gerakan Literasi Sekolah GLS , also to introduce the information literacy concept to the student from elementary to the high school. The implementation program itself consists of some activities such as information literacy workshop, library tour, and an interactive games called lsquo treasures hunt rsquo . Altough the program still simply packed, positive feedback came from the partisipant and the perceived benefits makes this program worth to be held again in the future with some improvement to make it more better."

"Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang diiringi dengan jumlah informasi yang melimpah, menuntut masyarakat untuk dapat memiliki kemampuan dalam melakukan pengelolaan terhadap informasi tersebut. Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Tingkat Literasi Informasi Mahasiswa Atlet: Tim Pelatda Karate DKI Jakarta” dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa atlet di Tim Pelatda Karate DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa atlet di Tim Pelatda Karate DKI Jakarta sudah memenuhi tiga dari lima standar yang telah ditetapkan Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL, 2000) yaitu, mengevaluasi informasi dan sumbernya secara kritis, menggunakan dan mengomunikasikan informasi dengan efektif untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu, dan memahami tentang penggunaan akses informasi secara etis dan legal. Mayoritas mahasiswa atlet belum memenuhi standar pada bagian menentukan jenis dan batas informasi yang diperlukan dan bagian mengakses informasi yang diperlukan secara efektif dan efisien.

The development of information technology, which is accompanied by an abundance of information, places an obligation on every community to be able to have the ability to manage this information. This research is entitled "Analysis of the Information Literacy Level of Student Athletes: DKI Jakarta Karate Pelatda Team" with the aim of identifying the level of information literacy ability of student athletes in the DKI Jakarta Karate Pelatda Team. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method and the data collection technique used was interviews. The results of this study are that student athletes in the DKI Jakarta Karate Regional Training Team have met three of the five standards set by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL, 2000), namely, critically evaluate information and its sources, use and communicate information effectively to achieve goals. and understand the ethical and legal use of access to information. The majority of student athletes do not meet the standards in determining the type and extent of information needed and in accessing the information needed effectively and efficiently."

"Skripsi ini mengenai keyakinan Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia angkatan 2014 dalam memecahkan seluruh masalah informasi. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan pendekatan survei deskriptif yang menguraikan tentang kategori keyaninan mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan literasi informasi mereka. Kuesioner untuk pengumpulan data menggunakan model Information Literacy Self Efficacy Scale yang diciptakan oleh Kurbanoglu, Akkoyunlu, dan Umay 2006 dan melibatkan 91 responden mahasiswa FIB UI 2014 yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan mahasiswa memiliki efikasi diri literasi informasi dengan total skor rata-rata 71.06 yang tergolong tinggi. Secara terinci, efikasi mahasiswa dalam mendefinisikan kebutuhan informasi mencapai 74.29 tinggi, menilai dan memahami informasi mencapai 72.35 tinggi, menginterpretasikan, mensintesa, dan menggunakan informasi mencapai 71.21 tinggi, mengkomunikasikan informasi mencapai 70.61 tinggi, mengevaluasi hasil dan proses mencapai 70.45 tinggi, menentukan lokasi dan mengakses sumber-sumber informasi mencapai 69.38 tinggi , serta memprakarsai strategi pencarian mencapai 69.12 tinggi.

This thesis aims to study the belief of student from Faculty of Humanities Universitas Indonesia class of 2014 in solving problems regarding information. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive research design using descriptive survey approach that describes the category of students belief towards their information literacy ability. The questionnaire for data collection that used in this research is the Information Literacy Self Efficacy Scale model created by Kurbanoglu, Akkoyunlu and Umay 2006 and involving 91 FIB UI 2014 student respondents who are working on their thesis using convenience sampling technique.

The results showed that overall students have self efficacy information literacy with a total score of 71.06 average which is high. In detail, the efficacy of students in defining information needs reaches 74.29 high, assessing and comprehending information reaches 72.35 high, interpreting, synthesizing, and using information reaches 71.21 high, communicating information reaches 70.61 high evaluating the product and process reaches 70.45 high, locating and accessing information sources reaches 69.38 high, and initiating search strategy reaches 69.12 high."
