"ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas tentang ketersediaan informasi dalam jumlah besar dan beragam dalam format elektronik pada e-resources dan mesin pencari Google, yang digunakan pemustaka LKC Binus University kampus Anggrek hingga mengalami kondisi information overload. Fokus dalam penelitian ini pada pemaknaan information overload yang dialami pemustaka dalam menggunakan e-resources dan mesin pencari Google untuk menemukan informasi sesuai kebutuhannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan datanya melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasilnya adalah Information overload tidak selalu dimaknai pemustaka dengan gagalnya mengolah dan mengambil informasi dalam jumlah besar, namun kondisi dimana pemustaka dapat tetap bertahan menyelesaikan hingga mendapatkan informasi yang paling sesuai dengan kebutuhan ketika menggunakan e-resources dan mesin pencari Google.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses the availability of information in large and diverse amounts on e resources and Google search engine, which used LKC Binus University Campus Anggrek to experience the condition of information overload. The focus in this study on the meaning of information overload experienced by users in using e resources and Google search engine to find information as needed. The method used is case study research method with qualitative approach. Data collection through interviews, observation and documentation study. The result is Information overload is not always interpreted by user 39 s with the failure to process and retrieve information in large numbers, but the conditions where the users can stay afloat to get the most appropriate information to the needs when using e resources and search engine Google."

"Skripsi ini membahas kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka di Perpustakaan Universitas Bina Nusantara Kampus Anggrek. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka dan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara variabel bebas dengan kemampuan literasi pemustaka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar ke 100 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka tergolong baik berdasarkan indikator-indikator standar kompetensi literasi informasi perguruan tinggi dari ACRL namun masih ada beberapa kekurangan. Kemampuan literasi pemustaka juga dipengaruhi oleh frekuensi kunjungan ke perpustakaan dan tingkat semester pemustaka.

This research describes about information literacy skills of users at Binus University Library. The purpose of this research is to identify information literacy skills of users and to detect the correlation between independent variable and the information literacy skills of users. This research has descriptive-quantitative approach with survey method by using questionnaire which is applied to 100 respondents.

The results show that the information literacy of users is considered as good, based on Information Literacy Standards for Higher Education?s indicators (ACRL). However, this study also show that there were some drawbacks and obstacles in some items. Few items of Information literacy skills of users were influenced by user?s visiting frequency to library and their level of semester."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma kampus Depok. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan standar kompetensi literasi informasi di perguruan tinggi yang dibuat oleh ACRL (2000) sebagai alat ukur tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 97 orang.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma sudah baik. Namun, dalam hal strategi pencarian informasi masih kurang baik. Penyelenggaraan program literasi informasi dalam hal strategi pencarian informasi, tentunya dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi informasinya.

This thesis discusses about the information literacy skills of students of University of Gunadarma in Depok campus. This study used Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education by ACRL (2000) as measuring instruments of information literacy skill. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey research method and sample of as many as 97persons.

The result showed that their information literacy skills was good. However, in terms of information search strategy is still not good. Implementation of information literacy programme, in terms of information search strategies is needed by students to improve their information literacy skills."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai pemanfaatan pangkalan data dalam jaringan Perpustakaan UI, khususnya pangkalan data dalam jaringan jurnal elektronik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus yang menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrument penelitiannya. Indikator dalam penelitian ini adalah kesadaran pengguna, pemanfaatan koleksi, kemampuan penggunaan komputer, kualitas informasi, kemudahan akses, kemudahan penggunaan, dan kesadaran penggunaan. Analisis data yang digunakan dibantu oleh software SPSS for Windows release 16 untuk menghitung persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemanfaatan oleh 110 responden sudah cukup baik, namun masih disayangkan adanya responden yang tidak mengetahui keberadaan koleksi tersebut. Hasil penelitian juga menyebutkan kurangnya sosialisasi baik keberadaan koleksi tersebut maupun cara penggunaannya.

This thesis describes about the usage of online database Universitas Indonesia Library by the undergraduate program student, especially about online database electronic journal. The research uses quantitative approach with case study method which questionnaire as the research instrument. The questionnaire indicators are user awareness, collection usage, computer self-efficacy, quality information, ease of access, ease of usage, usage awareness. Data analysis that is used in this research is helped by SPSS for Windows release 16 software to tabulate the percentage.

The result of this research showed that 110 respondents rate the usage of online database is good enough. But, unfortunately there are respondents that did not know the existence of online database. This research also show the lack of socialization of the online database’s existence and the searching strategy."

"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas tentang pemberitaan perpustakaan dalam media massaonline Detik dan Kompas dari tanggal 1 Januari 2014 sampai dengan 30 April2014. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis isi dengan pendekatankuantitatif. Kategori dalam penelitian ini dikelompokkan variabel asal berita,lokasi, dan aspek. Secara keseluruhan, hampir setengah pemberitaan perpustakaanmembahas koleksi dan sarana prasarana. Hampir setengah pemberitaanperpustakaan dalam negeri membahas aspek koleksi. Hampir setengahpemberitaan perpustakaan luar negeri membahas aspek sarana dan prasarana sertakoleksi. Sebagian besar pemberitaan membahas perpustakaan luar negeri,sedangkan perpustakaan dalam negeri hanya sebagian kecil.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses about the library news on online mass media, Detik andKompas from the First of January until the Thirtieth of April, 2014. Researcheruses content analysis with quantitative approach as a research method. Categoriesin this research are grouped in the source of news, location and aspect variables.In conclusion, nearly half of the library news discuss about collection andinfrastructure aspects. Nearly half of local library news discuss about collectionaspects. Nearly half of foreign library news discuss about library infrastructureand collection aspects. Most of the library news discuss about foreign libraries, onthe other hand local libraries only reported on small portion."

"ABSTRACTPenelitian ini membahas implementasi literasi informasi di Perpustakaan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi implementasi literasi informasi di Perpustakaan Kemendikbud melalui program kegiatan yang dibuat oleh perpustakaan dan diselenggarakan secara berkala setiap tahun. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi literasi informasi yang dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan Kemendikbud melalui program kegiatannya dirancang selain untuk mendukung salah satu program organisasi induknya yaitu Gerakan Literasi Sekolah GLS , juga untuk memperkenalkan konsep literasi informasi kepada para siswa di jenjang pendidikan sekolah. Implementasi program terdiri atas beberapa jenis kegiatan seperti lokakarya literasi informasi, library tour, dan permainan interaktif yang disebut lsquo;treasures hunt rsquo;. Walaupun program masih dikemas dengan sederhana, namun respon positif dari peserta maupun manfaat yang didapatkan oleh mereka membuat program ini dinilai dapat terus dijalankan bahkan dikembangkan menjadi lebih baik lagi.

ABSTRACTThis research discuss the implementation of information literacy in Ministry of Education and Culture Library. The aim of this research is to identify the implementation of information literacy through their program which the library held annually. The approach used in this research is qualitative approach with case study method. Collection of the data is carried out through depth interview, observation, and document analysis. Results of the research show that the implementation of information literacy which held by Ministry of Education and Culture Library, planned to support one of their mother institution rsquo s program called Gerakan Literasi Sekolah GLS , also to introduce the information literacy concept to the student from elementary to the high school. The implementation program itself consists of some activities such as information literacy workshop, library tour, and an interactive games called lsquo treasures hunt rsquo . Altough the program still simply packed, positive feedback came from the partisipant and the perceived benefits makes this program worth to be held again in the future with some improvement to make it more better."

Seperti halnya pada koleksi cetak, koleksi digital ini juga perludilestarikan karena terjadinya kerusakan media penyimpanan atau penurunankualitas pada koleksi digital seiring berjalannya waktu. Untuk itu diperlukanpelaksanaan strategi pelestarian digital. Terdapat enam strategi pelestarian untukkoleksi digital yang dapat dilakukan, yaitu: pelestarian teknologi, refreshing, danmigrasi, emulasi, arkeologi data, dan pengalihbentukkan ke dalam media analog.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif denganmetode pengumpulan data dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan studikepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa strategi pelestarian koleksidigital yang telah diterapkan di The Jakarta Information Center adalah pelestarianteknologi, refreshing, dan migrasi.

ABSTRACTThis research is based on the existence of digital collections in The JakartaInformation Center. As well as printed collections, digital collections also need tobe preserved due to damages of the storage media or deterioration of the digitalcollections over time. Therefore, it is necessary to implement digital preservationstrategies. There are six strategies for the preservation of digital collections thatcan be done, namely: technology preservation, refreshing, migration, emulation,archaeological data, and conversion into analog media. The method used inconducting this research is descriptive method with the method of collecting databy interview technique, observation and literature study. The result of the researchstates that digital preservation strategies which have been implemented in TheJakarta Information Center to its collections are technology preservation,refreshing, and migration."

"Skripsi ini membahas kepuasan pengguna terhadap fasilitas auto-borrowing machine di Library and Knowledge Center (LKC) Binus University Kampus Anggrek. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan observasi. Indikator kuesioner untuk mengukur kepuasan pengguna didasarkan kepada lima dimensi kualitas layanan, yakni: bukti fisik (tangible), kehandalan (reliability), daya tanggap (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance), dan perhatian (empathy). Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perhitungan distribusi frekuensi ke dalam persentase dan important-performance analysis ke dalam diagram kartesius. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa 30 reponden menilai tingkat kinerja layanan fasilitas auto-borrowing machine dikategorikan baik berdasarkan hasil perhitungan distribusi frekuensi ke dalam persentase. Sedangkan hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan important-performance analysis didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar indikator berada di kuadran A yang berarti masih perlu diperhatikan kembali kinerja/pelaksanaannya, khususnya dari dimensi daya tanggap (responsiveness) dan perhatian (empathy). Sehingga berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, disarankan kepada pihak perpustakaan untuk meningkatkan perhatian mereka dalam kinerja kedua dimensi tersebut.

This thesis describes about the user satisfaction on auto-borrowing machine facility at Library and Knowledge Centre (LKC) of Binus University Anggrek. The research uses quantitative approach with survey method and observation. The questionnaire indicators of measuring user satisfaction are based on five quality service dimensions, which are: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Data analysis that is used in this research are frequency distribution calculation on to percentage and important-performance analysis that is graphed to cartesius diagram.

The result of this research showed that 30 respondents rate the service performance of auto-borrowing machine facility is good, based on percentage calculation. Whereas, the result of research based on important-performance analysis is showed that most indicators and attributes are in quadrant A, that means they need more attention for their performance ability, especially on responsiveness and empathy dimension. So, based on those analysis, the librarian needs to improve their attention to the both dimension either from the physical side or the human resources that have responsibility for the service."

"Dashboard is a computer interface that displays a variety of charts, graphs, tables, which are selected reports from various data that are considered important to display rapidly, with an attractive appearance, dynamic, and relevant so that it can immediately be seen quickly to analyze a condition. Dashboard information system is widely used in various companies as a support system for decision-making where Dashboard usually displays data business trends of the company or the achievement of KPI (Key Performance Indicator) of a company. The method used is descriptive analysis by means of collecting information that areimportant for universities to be considered asthe Key Success Factors (KSF) of the university, and then, the design of the dashboard is made in accordance with these important factors.The result of this study is a grand design of information systems for the university performance monitoring, starting from the reception of students, faculty performance, student academic achievement, effectiveness and efficiency of services, including graduates. It is expected that by the time the system has been fully implemented, the university can take action quickly and accurately with respect to the required conditions."
