"Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penurunan penghasilan pekerja lulusan pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia di masa pandemi Covid-19 dengan menggunakan data Sakernas Agustus 2021 dan metode deskriptif dan inferensial Regresi Logistik Multinomial. Penulis mengidentifikasi penurunan penghasilan sebagai salah satu bentuk efek luka atau scarring effect yang dialami para pekerja lulusan pendidikan tinggi saat pandemi Covid-19 berdasarkan lapangan usaha. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa scarring effect berupa penurunan penghasilan lebih banyak dialami para pekerja lulusan pendidikan tinggi di lapangan usaha jasa dan industri. Dilihat dari jenis pekerjaannya, penurunan penghasilan tersebut banyak dialami pekerja kerah biru dan pekerja kerah abu-abu. Scarring effect berupa penurunan penghasilan tidak terlalu dialami pekerja kerah putih, yang merupakan mayoritas di kalangan pekerja lulusan pendidikan tinggi. Setelah dikontrol dengan karakteristik individu, variabel lapangan usaha memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam penurunan penghasilan pekerja lulusan pendidikan tinggi. Pekerja lulusan pendidikan tinggi di lapangan usaha industri mengalami scarring effect terbesar, disusul oleh pekerja di lapangan usaha jasa dan terendah di sektor pertanian. Dari hasil regresi, pekerja lulusan pendidikan tinggi di lapangan usaha industri cenderung mengalami penurunan penghasilan 2,468 kali lebih besar dari yang bekerja di sektor pertanian dan dibandingkan dari yang penghasilannya tetap. Adapun pekerja lulusan pendidikan tinggi di lapangan usaha jasa cenderung mengalami penurunan penghasilan 1,454 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan yang bekerja di sektor pertanian dan dibandingkan dengan yang penghasilannya tetap.

This research aims to analyze the decline in income among employees with tertiary education graduates in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic, using data from Sakernas (National Labor Force Survey), August 2021, descriptive and inferential Multinomial Logistic Regression methods. The author identifies the decline in income as a form of scarring effect experienced by employess with tertiary-education graduates during the Covid-19 pandemic, based on field of industry as main independent variable. The research concludes that the scarring effect, in the form of income reduction, is more pronounced among tertiary-education graduates worker in the service and industrial sectors. In terms of job type, the income decline is more pronounced among blue-collar and gray-collar workers. In contrast, white-collar workers, who constitute the majority of high-education graduates worker, experienced relatively less scarry in terms of income decline. After controlling the dependent and independent variable with individual characteristics, the research found that industrial sector variable significantly influences the income decline among educated workers. University-educated workers in the industrial sector experienced the greatest scarring effect, followed by those in the service sector, and the lowest in agricultural sector. As the regression results, university-educated workers in the industrial sector are likely to experience a 2.468 times greater of income decline compared to those working in the agricultural sector and compared to those with stable incomes. Meanwhile, educated workers in service sector are likely to experience a 1.454 times greater of income decline compared to those working in agricultural sector and compared to those with stable incomes."

"his article seeks first of all to gain an accurate picture of the types of expectations that individual Japanese regular employees have toward their jobs and careers, which we will approach through the concept of “career orientation.” Secondly, it seeks to analyze the extent to which opportunities for job ad- vancement and internal promotion and regular employees’ working styles are diversified in relation to their career orientations. Thirdly, it aims to assess levels of job satisfaction among groups with different career orientations. And finally, it seeks to draw some implications from the findings related to the featured theme of “diversification of regular employees.”
Our findings are as follows: for one thing, the career-orientations of em- ployees are indeed diversified. Their opportunities for job advancement and internal promotion are also diversified corresponding to their career orienta- tions. Also, there are correlations between the length of working hours and ca- reer orientation, but only among female employees. In addition, it was found that job satisfaction is lowest among male employees who place a priority on a working style that emphasizes balance between work and private or family life. Based on these findings, we have examined the significance of introducing systems that formally establish multiple employment categories among regular employees to accommodate their different career patterns and working styles according to their diversified career orientations."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kemampuan adaptasi karir dan kinerja berdasarkan peran. Dalam penelitian ini pengukuran tingkat kecerdasan emosional dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur yang dikembangkan oleh Schutte (2009) yang berjudul The Assessing Emotions Scale. Sementara pengukuran kemampuan adaptasi karir dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur yang bernama Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, yang dikembangkan oleh Savickas & Porfeli (2012). Kinerja diukur menggunakan alat ukur yang bernama Role Based Performance Scale (RBPS), yang dikembangkan oleh Welbourne, Erez, & Johnson (1998). Analisis atas penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Structural Equation Model (SEM), terhadap data yang berasal dari 407 responden. Respoden terdiri dari karyawan yang telah bekerja dalam rentang waktu minimal 1 tahun. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh positif dengan kemampuan adaptasi karir dan kinerja berdasarkan peran.

This study aimed to examine the effect of a positive relationship between emotional intelligence towards career adaptability and performance. In this study the measurement of emotional intelligence levels using the measurement tools developed by Schutte, NS, Malouff, JM, & Bhullar, N. (2009) entitled The Assessing Emotions Scale. Career adaptability measurement using a measuring tool called the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale developed by Savickas, ML, & Porfeli, EJ (2012). Performance was measured using a measuring tool called Role-Based Performance Scale (RBPS) developed by Theresa Welbourne, Amir Erez, Dianne Johnson (1998). Analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Lisrel method to data derived from the 407 respondents, workers who have worked in a span of at least 1 year. The results of this study found that career adaptability has a positive influence with career adaptability and role based performance.

"Indonesia merupakan negara yang berfokus terhadap percepatan sektor pendidikan dalam gagasan cita-cita nya menjadi negara maju. Salah satu cara mencapai percepatan tersebut adalah dengan meningkatkan angka partisipasi pendidikan tinggi. Studi ini berupaya mengetahui perubahan pengaruh Kondisi Sosial Ekonomi dan Latar Belakang Keluarga yang memengaruhi peluang partisipasi perguruan tinggi di Indonesia setelah adanya pandemi Covid-19. Dengan model Ordinary Least Square (OLS) menggunakan data SUSENAS, ditemukan adanya perubahan pengaruh kondisi sosial ekonomi dan latar belakang keluarga terhadap angka partisipasi perguruan tinggi setelah adanya Pandemi Covid-19.

Indonesia is a country that focuses on accelerating the education sector with the idea of becoming a developed country. One way to achieve this acceleration is to increase the enrollment rate in tertiary education. This study seeks to discover the changes in the influence of Socioeconomic Conditions and Family Background that have affected opportunities for tertiary participation in Indonesia after the Covid-19 pandemic. With the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model using SUSENAS data, it was found that there was a change in the effect of socioeconomic conditions and family background on tertiary enrollment rates after the Covid-19 Pandemic."

"Studi yang mempelajari karakteristik unik dari generasi milenial hingga saat ini masih relevan, kontekstual, dan menarik untuk dilakukan. Hal tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh semakin besarnya jumlah generasi milenial yang mulai menempati posisi strategis pada berbagai perusahaan di pasar global. Penelitian empiris ini berfokus dalam pengaruh dari tingkat kepuasan terhadap gaji kepada kepuasan karir dengan menggunakan eksplorasi work-family enrichment (WFE) dan komitmen karyawan sebagai variabel mediasi pada generasi milenial di Indonesia. Survei daring dilakukan di dalam rentang waktu 1 bulan, sehingga menghasilkan respon yang berasal dari 238 partisipan. Data yang diperoleh diharapkan memperoleh informasi tentang latar belakang sosial ekonomi, lama bekerja, hingga persepsi atas kepuasan gaji serta kepuasan karir tiap individu. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan software SEM-AMOS, dan dihasilkan temuan bahwa tingkat kepuasan terhadap gaji secara signifikan mempengaruhi tingkat kepuasan terhadap karir, melalui peran mediasi dari work-family enrichment dan komitmen karyawan generasi milenial terhadap organisasinya. Diskusi, implikasi manajerial, dan saran bagi penelitian selanjutnya diberikan pada akhir laporan akhir ini.

The study of millennial generations is still relevant, contextual, and interesting to do. This is motivated by the increasing number of millenials that occupied on a strategic position in various companies in the global market. This empirical research determines to see the effect of salary satisfaction on career satisfaction with work-family enrichment (WFE) and employee commitment as a mediating variables for millennial generation in Indonesia. The survey was carried out within a period of 1 month, resulting in responses from 238 respondents. The data obtained are expected to give information about socioeconomic background, length of work, and the perception of salary satisfaction and career satisfaction of each individual. The data were processed with the SEM-AMOS software and finding results indicate that there is a significant role of work-family enrichment and employee commitment as a mediator on the relationship between salary satisfaction and career satisfaction. Discussions, managerial implications, and suggestions for further research are given at the end of this final report."

"Partisipasi pendidikan tinggi bergantung pada kecerdasan individu yang didapatkan secara alamiah atau melalui jenjang pendidikan sebelumnya. Kecerdasan individu diukur dalam hal pengetahuan literasi, numerasi, dan sains yang terukur melalui penilaian internasional misalnya PISA. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu dalam level mikro membuktikan bahwa skor PISA memengaruhi partisipasi pendidikan tinggi secara signifikan. Partisipasi pendidikan tinggi dianalisis lebih lanjut pada level makro sehubungan partisipasi pendidikan juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi individu, sosial, politik, dan ekonomi. Penggunaan regresi panel dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa negara dengan skor PISA yang tinggi tidak mempunyai angka partisipasi pendidikan tinggi yang signifikan. Angka partisipasi pendidiakn tinggi dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh angka partisipasi pendidikan menengah dan proporsi angka populasi tua. Negara anggota OECD cenderung mempunyai angka partisipasi pendidikan tinggi yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan partisipasi pendidikan tinggi, negara perlu meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas pendidikan menengah, menganjurkan orang tua untuk mengalokasikan biaya untuk pendidikan tinggi generasi muda, dan mempelajari sistem pendidikan tinggi negara anggota OECD.

Tertiary education participation depends among others on individual intelligence, which can be obtained naturally or through previous education level. Individual intelligence can be measured by literacy, numeracy, and science knowledge and skills, which are assessed by an international assessment such as PISA. Previous studies at the micro-level proved that the PISA score significantly affects tertiary education participation. It is further analyzed at the macro-level as educational participation can also be affected by individual, social, political, and economic conditions. Applying panel regressions, this study shows that a country with high PISA scores does not have a significant tertiary education participation rate. However, the tertiary education participation rate of the country is significantly affected by the secondary education participation rate and the share of old populations. Countries that are a member of OECD tend to high tertiary education participation rate. Hence, to increase tertiary education participation, a country should improve the quality and quantity of its secondary education, encourage the elder to allocate financial resources for tertiary education of the younger generation, and study the tertiary education system of the OECD member countries.

"Tesis ini membahas penurunan hegemoni Amerika Serikat dalam bidang pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hegemoni Amerika Serikat dalam rangking pendidikan tinggi semakin menurun, hal ini diiringi penurunan jumlah mahasiswa internasional yang memilih Amerika Serikat sebagai negara tujuan studi. Lalu hal yang sama juga terjadi pada jumlah awardee beasiswa Finance Education and Training Agency (FETA) dan Ministerial Scholarship (MINS) yang memilih Amerika Serikat juga semakin menurun. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat beberapa alasan awardee beasiswa FETA dan MINS menghindari Amerika Serikat sebagai negara tujuan studi. Selain itu dengan membandingkan data dengan awardee beasiswa Scholarship Program for Strengthening the Reforming Institution (SPIRIT), ditemukan peran awardee sebagai bridgehead bagi negara tujuan studi.

This thesis discusses the decline of the United States hegemony in higher education. This research is qualitative research with a case study method. The hegemony of the United States in the higher education ranking is decreasing, this is accompanied by a decrease in the number of international students who choose the United States as a study destination country. Then the same thing happened to the number of scholarship awardees for the Finance Education and Training Agency (FETA) and Ministerial Scholarship (MINS) who chose the United States. The results of this study found that there were several reasons why FETA and MINS scholarship awardees avoided the United States as a study destination country. In addition, by comparing the data with the scholarship awardees of the Scholarship Program for Strengthening the Reforming Institution (SPIRIT), we found the role of the awardee as a bridgehead for the study destination country."
