This study aims to analyze the factors that affect doctors' decisions in Indonesia in prescribing drugs containing halal ingredients. This is important considering that the majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim, where the consumption of halal products is one of the important aspects of daily life, including in the health sector. Other studies have focused heavily on the consumer or patient side, but very few have examined research from a physician's perspective in the pharmaceutical context. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 286 doctors, both general practitioners, specialist doctors, subspecialist doctors, and doctors from 20 provinces in Indonesia. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire designed based on a combination of KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, Practice) and TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior) Theory, by adding variables of religiosity, product related factors, patient related factors, perception, and behavior. The results of the study show that attitudes, product factors, perceptions, and subjective norms have a significant effect on a doctor's intention in prescribing halal drugs. This was found to be similar in 3 models, both the KAP and TPB models, as well as the combined theory between KAP & TPB. However, the patient factor and perceived behavior control did not affect the doctor's intention in prescribing halal drugs on the combined theory and TPB. The KAP and TPB theories themselves are stated to strengthen the combined theory between the KAP and TPB Theories in their analysis tests because the results of the three models are the same. This study concludes that there is a strong desire from doctors to prescribe drugs containing halal ingredients, especially when they understand the importance of halal aspects for their patients, but it has not been well realized due to the limitations of the availability of halal drugs. The recommendations of this study are the need to increase education and socialization about halal drugs among medical personnel, as well as the provision of adequate information about the availability of halal drugs on the market. This is expected to support clinical decisions that are more in line with patient needs and beliefs, as well as encourage the pharmaceutical industry to be more active in producing medicines that meet halal standards."

Halal skincare is one of the most used products in people’s day to day life, specifically for moslem consumers that are required by their religion to consume halal and permissible products. This study aimed to investigate the effect of halal awareness and halal certification perception towards intention to purchase halal skincare through e-commerce. The study used experimental, between-subject design on 318 young adult female participants (18-25 years old). The results showed that halal certification perception significantly predicted intention to purchase halal skincare, while halal awareness doesn’t have any significant effect on intention to purchase halal skincare. From the results, this study concludes that halal certification perception scores can positively predict intention to purchase halal cosmetics through e-commerce. This implies that generation Z consumers perceive halal certification as important and have the intention to purchase cosmetics with halal certification, thus manufacturers and brands need to register their cosmetic products to obtain halal certification.
