Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fleksibilitas kognitif dan persepsi dukungan sosial terhadap mental well-being serta ingin mengetahui variabel mana yang berperan lebih besar terhadap mental well-being mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bersifat korelasional yang menggunakan sampel mahasiswa (N=242). Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS), Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI), dan The Multidimensional Scale Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Hasil analisis multiple regression antara fleksibilitas kognitif dan persepsi dukungan sosial terhadap mental well-being menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan (𝑅² = 0,475, p < 0,001). Persepsi dukungan sosial lebih berperan terhadap mental well-being (𝛽 = 0,48, p < 0,001) dibandingkan fleksibilitas kognitif (𝛽 = 0,401, p < 0,001). Sehingga, fleksibilitas kognitif maupun persepsi dukungan sosial dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam menjaga kondisi mental well-being.

 


This study aims to determine the relationship between cognitive flexibility and perceptions of social support on mental well-being and to find out which variables have a greater role in students' mental well-being. This research is correlational using a student sample (N=242). The measuring instruments used in this study were the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS), Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI), and The Multidimensional Scale Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). The results of the multiple regression analysis between cognitive flexibility and perceptions of social support on mental well-being showed significant results ( =² = 0.475, p < 0.001). Perception of social support plays a more important role in mental well-being (𝛽 = 0.48, p < 0.001) than cognitive flexibility (𝛽 = 0.401, p < 0.001). Thus, cognitive flexibility and perceptions of social support can help students maintain mental well-being.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara stres akademis dengan psychological well being pada mahasiswa tahun pertama Universitas Indonesia. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 122 mahasiswa tingkat pertama berusia 17-20 yang sedang menempuh semester dua di Universitas Indonesia. Pengukuran psychological well-being menggunakan alat ukur Ryff?s Psychological Well- Being Scale (1995) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Yorike dan rekan-rekan payung penelitian psychological well-being tahun 2011. Pengukuran stres akademis menggunakan alat ukur Student-Life Stress Inventory yang dikembangkan oleh Gadzella (1994) dan telah diadaptasikan ke dalam konteks bahasa Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil penghitungan korelasi Pearson Product Moment, diperoleh hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan antara stres akademis dan psychological well -being pada mahasiswa tahun pertama Universitas Indonesia. Semakin tinggi skor stres akademis yang dimiliki maka semakin tinggi skor psychological wellbeing, begitu pula sebaliknya.

The objective of this research is to find the corelation between academic stress and psychological well-being among first-year college students in Universitas Indonesia . The participant for this research were 122 students aged 17-20 whose studied at the second term in Universitas Indonesia. Psychological well-being was measured with Ryff?s Psychological well-being Scale (1995) which was constructed by Carol D. Ryff and had been adapted to Indonesian context by Yorike and colleagues in 2011. Academic stress was measured with Student-Life Stress Inventory which constructed by Gadzella and had been adapted to Indonesian context. The coefficient of Pearson Product Moment correlation showed that there is negative and significant correlation between psychological well being and academic stress among first-year college students in Universitas Indonesia. The more academic stress suffered by first-year college students, the lower score of psychological well being they have and vice versa."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai hubungan antara perceived social support dan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa perantau tahun pertama di Universitas Indonesia. Perceived social support diukur dengan alat ukur Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (Zimet, 1988) dan psychological well-being diukur menggunakan alat ukur Psychological Well-Being Scale (Ryff, 1898). Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah 131 mahasiswa perantau tahun pertama yang baru pertama kali tinggal terpisah dengan orang tuanya, yang terdiri dari 99 orang wanita (75.6%) dan 32 orang laki-laki (24.4%). Pearson?s Correlation digunakan untuk mengukur hubungan antara perceived social support dan psychological well-being.
Hasil utama dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara perceived social support dan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa perantau tahun pertama di Universitas Indonesia (r=0.307, n=131, p=0.000, signifikan pada L.o.S 0.01). Artinya, semakin tinggi perceived social support pada mahasiswa perantau tahun pertama di Universitas Indonesia maka semakin tinggi juga psychological well-being-nya.

This research was conducted to find the correlation between perceived social support and psychological well-being among first-year migrant students at Universitas Indonesia. Perceived social support was measured using Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (Zimet, 1988) and psychological well-being was measured using Psychological Well-Being Scale (Ryff, 1898). The participant of this research are 131 first-year student who lived appart from their parent for the first time, which consists of 99 female (75.6%) and 32 male (24.4%). Pearson's correlation is used to calculate the relation of perceived social support and psychological well-being.
The main result of this research shows that there is a positive and significant relation between perceived social support and psychological well-being among first-year imigrant student at Universitas Indonesia (r=0.307, n=131, p=0.000, significant at L.o.S 0.01). This means, the higher perceived social support, the higher psychological well-being among first-year imigrant students at Universitas Indonesia."

"Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada kehidupan masyarakat termasuk dalam aspek kesehatan mental mahasiswa. Mahasiswa di masa pandemi mengalami banyak perubahan yang menyebabkan tingginya tingkat stres serta menurunnya tingkat well-being. Mekanisme kognitif dari hubungan antara stres dan well-being dapat dilihat melalui peran fleksibilitas psikologis dan kesepian. Individu yang mengalami stres tinggi cenderung tidak fleksibel secara psikologis sehingga memiliki strategi koping yang menghindar/maladaptif. Akibatnya individu rentan mengalami kesepian yang akhirnya berakibat pada penurunan well-being. Penelitian ini melihat hubungan antara stres dan well-being melalui peran mediasi dari fleksibilitas psikologis dan kesepian. Pengambilan data melalui kuesioner daring menggunakan alat ukur Perceived Stress Scale (Cohen et al., 1983), Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (Keyes, 2009), Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II (Bond et al., 2011), dan UCLA Loneliness Scale-3 (Russell, 1996). Dari hasil analisis serial mediation yang dilakukan pada 945 mahasiswa, ditemukan bahwa fleksibilitas psikologis dan kesepian secara berurutan memediasi parsial hubungan antara stres dan well-being. Stres dapat mempengaruhi well-being secara langsung, namun dapat juga mempengaruhi melalui fleksibilitas psikologis dan kesepian. Stres yang tinggi membuat seseorang lebih tidak fleksibel, sehingga mengakibatkan tingkat kesepian yang tinggi, akhirnya well-being individu akan menurun. Intervensi yang menargetkan promosi fleksibilitas psikologis dapat menjadi alternatif intervensi yang bermanfaat untuk membantu individu beradaptasi dan mengatasi situasi sulit selama pandemi.

Covid-19 pandemic has been impactful on people’s live, including the aspect of mental health of students. During the pandemic, students experienced many changes that caused high levels of stress and decreased levels of well-being. The relationship between stress and well-being can be seen through the role of psychological flexibility and loneliness. Individuals who experience high stress tend to be psychologically inflexible, so they have avoidant/maladaptive coping strategies. As a result, individuals are vulnerable to loneliness which ultimately results in a decrease in well-being. This study looks at the relationship between stress and well-being through the mediating role of psychological flexibility and loneliness. This research collect data through an online questionnaire using the Perceived Stress Scale (Cohen et al., 1983), Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (Keyes, 2009), Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II (Bond et al., 2011), and UCLA Loneliness Scale-3 (Russell, 1996). From the serial mediation analysis conducted on 945 students, we found that psychological flexibility and loneliness partially mediate the relationship between stress and well-being. Stress can affect well-being directly, but it can also affect well-being through psychological flexibility and loneliness. A high level of stress, when followed by low level of psychological flexibility, will result in a high level of loneliness, hence well-being will also decrease. Interventions targeting the promotion of psychological flexibility can be a beneficial alternative to help individuals adapt and cope with difficult situations during the pandemic."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat gambaran psychological well being pada mahasiswa Indonesia yang belajar di Australia dan Singapura. Untuk pengumpulan datanya, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuisioner dan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara. Pengolahan data yang diperoleh dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 99 mahasiswa Indonesia yang kuliah di Australia dan Singapura, yang berusia 17-25 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur Ryff's Scale of Psychological Well Being yang telah diadaptasi oleh payung Psychological Well Being 2010 dan 2011. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada skor mean psychological well being pelajar Indonesia yang kuliah di Australia dan Singapura.

This research was conducted to see the description of psychological well being of Indonesian college students currently studying in Australia and Singapore. To collect the data, this research used quantitative approach using questionnaire and qualitative approach using interview. The data then processed using descriptive statistic technique. The participants are 99 Indonesian college students studying in Australia and Singapore aged 17-25 years old. This research was using Ryff's Psychological Well Being Scale adopted from previous research by psychological well being group of researcher 2010 and 2011. The result shows significant differences of mean score psychological well being of Indonesian college students studying in Australia and Singapore."

"Pada beberapa waktu terakhir, perhatian terhadap subjective well-being mengalami peningkatan, khususnya yang terjadi pada kalangan usia dewasa muda. Salah satu faktor yang mungkin berkaitan dengan fenomena tersebut adalah maraknya penggunaan media sosial, mengingat jumlah dewasa muda di Indonesia yang menggunakan media sosial tergolong besar. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat peran dari empat dimensi penggunaan media sosial yang terdiri image-based SMU, comparison-based SMU, belief-based SMU, dan consumption-based SMU dalam subjective well-being dewasa muda di Indonesia. Terdapat 125 responden dewasa muda pengguna media sosial yang direkrut dengan metode convenience sampling. Variabel subjective well-being diukur dengan The PERMA-Profiler dan penggunaan media sosial diukur dengan Social Media Use Scale (SMUS) yang sudah diadaptasi ke Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil analisis linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa empat dimensi penggunaan media sosial secara simultan berkontribusi dalam subjective well-being. Ditemukan hanya image-based, comparison-based, dan consumption-based SMU yang memiliki peran signifikan dalam subjective well-being, sedangkan peran dari belief-based SMU tidak signifikan. Temuan ini dapat diartikan bahwa penggunaan media sosial dewasa muda memiliki peran dalam kondisi subjective well-being mereka. Limitasi penelitian diulas lebih lanjut, dan disarankan agar penelitian di masa depan dapat mencoba melakukan kontrol terhadap durasi penggunaan media sosial, serta mempertimbangkan frekuensi dan tujuan penggunaan pada platform media sosial yang berbeda.

Over the past few years, attention to subjective well-being has increased, especially among young adults. One factor that may be related to this phenomenon is the widespread use of social media, given the large number of young adults in Indonesia who use social media. Therefore, this study aimed to look at the role of the four dimensions of social media use consisting of image-based SMU, comparison-based SMU, belief-based SMU, and consumption-based SMU in the subjective well-being of young adults in Indonesia. A total of 125 young adult social media users were recruited using convenience sampling method. Subjective well-being was measured with The PERMA-Profiler and social media use was measured with the Social Media Use Scale (SMUS), which has been adapted to Indonesian. The results of multiple linear analysis showed that four dimensions of social media use simultaneously contributed to subjective well-being. It was found that only image-based, comparison-based, and consumption-based SMU had a significant role in subjective well-being, while the role of belief-based SMU was not significant. This finding can be interpreted that young adults' social media use has a role in their subjective well-being. The limitations of the study were further reviewed, and it was suggested that future research could try to control for the duration of social media use, while also considering the frequency and purpose of use on different social media platforms."

"Guru berperan penting dalam proses pembelajaran, bahkan ketika pembelajaran
berlangsung secara jarak jauh (PJJ). Beban kerja guru yang bertambah banyak di masa
PJJ, juga terdapat guru yang sekaligus berperan sebagai orang tua, dapat berdampak pada
kondisi kesejahteraan psikologisnya. Sulitnya memisahkan kehidupan pribadi dan
personal selama PJJ, serta keterbatasan dalam interaksi sosial secara langsung dapat turut
berperan pada kondisi kesejahteraan guru perempuan. Adanya peningkatan kesadaran
(mindfulness) pada diri guru diduga dapat membantu meningkatkan kesejahteraan
psikologis pada guru, dengan cara membantu guru perempuan untuk mempersepsikan
ketersediaan dukungan yang dibutuhkan di lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
menguji peran variabel persepsi dukungan sosial sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara
mindfulness dengan kesejahteraan psikologis. Penelitian ini melibatkan 117 orang guru
SD, perempuan, yang juga berperan sebagai orang tua bagi anak pada kelompok usia kelas 1-3 SD. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner secara dalam jaringan (daring) melalui berbagai jejaring media sosial. Penelitian ini
menggunakan alat ukur Psychological Well-Being Scale (α=.917), Five Facet of Mindfulness Questionnaire (α=.819), dan Social Provisions Scale (α=.928). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji mediasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi terhadap dukungan sosial berperan sebagai mediator sebagian (partially
mediated) dalam hubungan antara mindfulness dengan kesejahteraan psikologis.

Teachers play an essential role in the learning process, even when learning takes placeremotely, known as distance learningning (PJJ). With the increasing teachers' workload
psychological well-being. The difficulty of separating professional and personal life
during PJJ, as well as limitations in social interaction can also contribute to the
psychological well-being. Increasing awareness (mindfulness) in teachers is assumed to
improve the psychological well-being, by helping female teachers to perceive the
availability of support needed in their environment. This study aims to examine the role
of the perceived social support on the relationship between mindfulness and
psychological well-being. This study involved 117 primary school teachers, women, who
also act as parents for children in the 1-3 grade. Data was collected by distributing online
questionnaires through various social media. This study used measuring instrument of
the Psychological Well-Being Scale (α = .917), the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire
(α = .819), and the Social Provisions Scale (α = .928). Data analysis was performed
using mediation test. This study indicates that perceived social support play a partially
mediated role in the relationship between mindfulness and psychological well-being.

"Hustle culture pada mahasiswa dapat memengarui tingkat kesejahteraan mereka. Secara khusus, mahasiswa berkewajiban menyelesaikan studi dengan baik dan membutuhkan ketersediaan dukungan sosial yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran persepsi dukungan sosial dan prestasi akademis terhadap kepuasan hidup mahasiswa. Keseluruhan partisipan berjumlah 130 orang yang berusia 18–25 tahun (M = 21,03, SD = 1,034) dan merupakan mahasiswa aktif Universitas Indonesia. Variabel pada penelitian ini diukur menggunakan Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi dukungan sosial dan prestasi akademis secara bersama-sama berperan signifikan terhadap kepuasan hidup (R2 = 0,288, F(2, 127) = 25,624, p = 0,000). Perguruan tinggi diharapkan dapat membuat program yang memfasilitasi dukungan sosial sekaligus meningkatkan prestasi akademis mahasiswa.

This study aims to examine the role of perceived social support and academic achievement on students' life satisfaction. There are a total of 130 participants aged 18–25 (M = 21,03, SD = 1,034) who are active students at the University of Indonesia. Variables in this study were measured using Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and Grade Point Average (GPA). The results of the study indicate that perceived social support and academic achievement simultaneously contribute to life satisfaction (R2 = 0.288, F(2, 127) = 25.624, p = 0.000). Universities are encouraged to develop programs that facilitate students' social support while also enhancing their academic achievement."

"Fleksibilitas kognitif merupakan kemampuan untuk mengalihkan set kognitif untuk beradaptasi terhadap stimulus lingkungan yang berubah. Penting bagi mahasiswa untuk memiliki fleksibilitas kognitif dalam menghadapi perkuliahan dan segala perubahan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat seberapa besar peran extraversion, openness to experience dan kemampuan metakognisi terhadap fleksibilitas kognitif pada mahasiswa program sarjana (S1). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan alat ukur Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI), Metacognitive Skills Scale (MSS), dan IPIP-BFM-25 untuk mengukur variabel. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 249 mahasiswa program sarjana di Indonesia (83 laki-laki dan 166 perempuan) berusia 18––25 tahun (M=21, SD=1,4). Hasil penelitian dengan analisis regresi linear berganda adalah extraversion, openness to experience dan kemampuan metakognitif secara simultan dan signifikan berkontribusi secara positif terhadap fleksibilitas kognitif pada mahasiswa program sarjana, Extraversion tidak berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap fleksibilitas kognitif mahasiswa sedangkan kemampuan metakognitif memiliki peranan yang paling besar dalam memprediksi terjadinya fleksibilitas kognitif. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan untuk memperhatikan proporsi demografi partisipan supaya lebih seimbang.

Cognitive flexibility is defined as the ability to adapt in changing environmental stimulus by switching cognitive sets. For college students, cognitive flexibility would be important to deal with academics in college studies as well as other changes. The purpose of this study is to see how significant are the roles of extraversion, openness to experience, and metacognitive skills towards the cognitive flexibility of undergraduate college students. The study used quantitative approach with Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI), Metacognitive Skills Scale (MSS), and IPIP-BFM-25 to measure the variables. The study was conducted to a group of 249 undergraduate college students in Indonesia (83 males and 166 females) between the ages of 18––25 years old (M=21, SD=1,4). The result of the multiple linear regression had showed that when extraversion, openness to experience, and metacognitive skills are simultaneously regressed, it significantly gives positive contributions towards cognitive flexibility of undergraduate students. However, extraversion by itself did not prove to contribute significantly towards cognitive flexibility of undergraduate college students and on the other hand, metacognitive skills the biggest role in predicting cognitive flexibility among all variables. For the future research, it is recommended to pay attention on the demographic proportion on the participants in order for the research participants to be more balance."

"Penelitian terkait mental well-being sudah mulai banyak dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup serta mencegah terjadinya masalah kesehatan mental yang saat ini sudah terlihat sejak usia anak. Akan tetapi, di Indonesia bukti terkait mental well-being masih terbatas, terutama hubungannya dengan faktor terkait gizi, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk meningkatkan bukti tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran mental well-being serta faktor terkait gizi yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional melibatkan 315 siswa kelas 4 dan 5 dari 5 sekolah dasar negeri terpilih di Banten. Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa mental well-being memiliki korealsi positif dengan aktivitas fisik r=0,47.

Researches on mental well being have been widely established to improve quality of life and to prevent mental health problems which have affect children and young people. However it is still rarely done in Indonesia, especially its relationships with nutrition related factors. The aim of this study was to show associations between nutrition related factors with mental well being among elementary school students. A cross sectional study was conducted involving 315 students of grade 4 and 5 from 5 purposely selected schools in Banten, year 2016. Statistical analysis generated positive correlation between mental well being and physical activity r 0,44."
