"ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan program intervensi untukmengatasi masalah konflik lintas budaya antara karyawan yang terjadi diorganisasi. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode action research dalam melakukandiagnosis dan rencana tindakan/intervensi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwakonflik terjadi disebabkan karena rendahnya kecerdasan budaya karyawan.Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dirancang intervensi berupa program pelatihan danpengembangan kecerdasan budaya karyawan baik melalui pelatihan di kelasmaupun pengembangan melalui proses belajar dari pengalaman (experientiallearning).

ABSTRACTThe aim of the study is to develop an intervention program to manage interculturalconflict among staff within organization. This study using action research modelto diagnosis problem and propose an intervention. The study prove that theconflict happened resulted from the gaps of staff's cultural intelligence. Tujuan dari penulisan skripsi ini adalah untuk menjelaskan budaya Minangkabau dan konflik budaya yang terdapat dalam novel Salah Pilih karya Nur Sutan Iskandar. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat budaya Minangkabau, seperti kawin muda, perjodohan, tata cara perkawinan, pakaian adat, sistem kekerabatan matrilinel, merantau, harta pusaka, penghulu, adat sopan santun, rumah gadang, dan konflik budaya yang dilakukan tokoh lelaki di dalam novel ini.

The purpose of this research is to explain culture of Minangkabau and culture conflict in novel Salah Pilih by Nur Sutan Iskandar. The conclusion of this research is there are Minangkabau cultures, such marriage procedure, culture fashion, matriarchy, merantau, treasures, penghulu, attitude culture, gadang house, and culture conflict by male characters."
