Tesis ini menganalisa penerapan CEDAW sebagai salah satu landasan hukum Uni Eropa dalam representasi politik perempuan sebagai anggota Parlemen Eropa.Jumlah anggota perempuan yang diwakili dari masing ndash; masing negara anggota UE belum menunjukkan jumlah yang seimbang dengan jumlah anggota laki-laki.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dan data yang diperoleh melalui literature review dengan beberapa pihak yang terkait dengan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa latar belakang kepentingan masing-masing negara UE berbeda sehingga jumlah representatif dari masing-masing negara berbeda. ...... This thesis analyses the implementation of CEDAW as one of the regulations in women political representation as members in European Parliament. The amount of the women from each European country has shown that the man and women in the European Parliament have not balanced. This research was conducted using a case study method and the data was collected through literature review related to the matters. The result of the research has shown that there are different interests so that the amount of the representatives are different.

Abstrak :
Penelitian ini merupakan studi terhadap penggunaan tanda dalam sepuluh poster kampanye Die Grünen pada pemilihan parlemen Eropa 2009. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan tanda pada poster-poster tersebut ditinjau dari aspek semiotis, semantis, dan pragmatis. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori retorik tekstual Leech, teori jenis makna Blanke dan teori jenis tanda Pierce. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa tidak semua prinsip retorik tekstual diwujudkan dalam poster kampanye Die Grünen. Sementara hasil analisis dari aspek semiotis menunjukkan bahwa ikon merupakan jenis tanda yang paling sering digunakan. Selain itu, hasil analisis juga menunjukkan peranan tanda verbal dan nonverbal yang digunakan terhadap prosesibilitas poster. ......This undergraduate thesis is a study about the use of signs in ten of Die Grünen campaign posters for European parliament election 2009. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the use of signs in Die Grünen posters. The data were analyzed by using Leech’s textual rhetoric theory, Pierce’s types of signs theory, and Blanke’s types of meaning. Method that being used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The outcome of this research shows that not all of textual rhetoric principles used in the campaign posters. Observed from semiotics, icon is the most used signs. The outcome also shows which influence do verbal and nonverbal signs have to the text’s processibility.

Abstrak :
Tahun 2015 terjadi krisis di wilayah Eropa karena masuknya jutaan pengungsi dari Timur Tengah dan Afrika terutama dari Suriah. Uni Eropa sebagai institusi supranasional yang bertanggung jawab pada isu ini berusaha menyelesaikan krisis dengan mengeluarkan kebijakan-kebijakan. Salah satu institusi Uni Eropa yang berwenang dalam kebijakan adalah Parlemen Eropa. Kekuatan Parlemen Eropa meningkat sejak Perjanjian Maastricht hingga Lisbon. Anggota PE ketika berada di parlemen tidak lagi menjadi perwakilan partai politik nasional, melainkan perwakilan dari kelompok politik Eropa. Dengan teori pola perilaku dalam proses kebijakan publik dan jaringan aktor, skripsi ini akan berusaha membuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh partai politik nasional Prancis terhadap anggota PE dalam kebijakan pengungsi Suriah Uni Eropa tahun 2015-2016. Kelompok politik Eropa tidak menjadi satu-satunya penentu keputusan anggota PE asal Prancis karena kebijakan yang krusial. Pengaruh ini terlihat ketika partai politik nasional dan kelompok Eropa memiliki pandangan berbeda dalam suatu isu. ...... In 2015 there was a crisis in Europe because the influx of millions refugees from the Middle East and Africa mainly from Syria. The EU as a supranational institution responsible for this issue seeks to resolve the crisis by making policies. One of the European Union institutions responsible in policy is the European Parliament EP. The strength of the EP has increased since the Treaty of Maastricht and Lisbon. Members of the EP MEPs while in EP are no longer representative of national party, but representatives of European political group. With the theory of behavioral patterns in the process of public policy and the actor network, this paper will attempt to prove that there is an influence of France 39 s national party on their MEPs in the EU Syrian refugee policy of 2015 2016. European political group are not the sole determinants of French MEPs decision because this policy is crucial. This influence is seen when national party and European political group have different stance on an issue.

Abstrak :
This book analyses in detail the different steps taken by each of the 27 EU Member States in the implementation process of the Services Directive. It provides not only detailed information about the changes in national law adopted by the Member States, but also facilitates a comparison of the different implementation strategies. It gives an insight in the heterogeneity or homogeneity of implementation concepts and shows how European legislation affects legislation that were originally nationally dominated, such as the law of national administration.

Abstrak :
Notes: The authors look beyond party cohesion and discipline in parliamentary democracies to take a broader view, assuming a diversity of preferences among party members and then exploring the incentives that give rise to coordinated party behaviour at the electoral, legislative and executive levels. The chapters in this book share a common analytical framework, confronting theoretical models of government formation with empirical data, some drawn from cross-national analyses and others from theoretically structured case studies. A distinctive feature of the book is that it explores the impact of intra-party politics at different levels of government: national, local and EU. This offers the opportunity to investigate existing theories of coalition formation in new political settings. Finally, the book offers a range of innovative methods for investigating intra-party politics which, for example, creates a need to estimate the policy positions of individual politicians inside political parties.
