"ABSTRAK
Industri rokok saat ini semakin meningkat dan kompetitif. Hal tersebut secara tidak langsung memaksa dan mendorong perusahaan rokok untuk terus berkembang untuk dapat terus bersaing dengan kompetitor. Salah satu strategi yang dapat
dilakukan untuk dapat terus bersaing ialah dengan mengembangkan produk rokok baru. Walaupun demikian perlu diketahui bahwa tingkat kegagalan produk baru cukuplah tinggi, yaitu sekitar 40% - 90%. Hal tersebut mendorong perusahaan
untuk perlu merencanakan segala bentuk aktivitas pengembangan produk baru (New Product Development) secara matang guna mengurangi tingkat kegagalan produk baru tersebut. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan aktivitas pengembangan produk baru ialah penentuan kerangka model pengembangan produk baru (NPD) yang tepat. Sehingga penelitian ini meneliti kerangka model NPD yang tepat bagi industri rokok berdasarkan identifikasi faktor yang mempengaruhi New Product Purchase Intention masyarakat terhadap produk rokok baru. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, maka akan dilakukan interview dengan salah satu expert guna mendapatkan analisis kerangka model NPD yang lebih mendalam serta tepat bagi industri rokok. Sehingga pada akhirnya, diharapkan hasil analisis tersebut dapat menjadi pertimbangan terhadap penerapan strategi bisnis bagi perusahaan rokok untuk mengembangkan bisnisnya.

ABSTRACT
The tobacco industry is currently becomes more increasing and more competitive. Thus, it is indirectly forcing and urging the tobacco companies to continuously develop in order to be able to compete with its competitors. One of the strategy that
can be conducted to be able to contionously compete is by developing new cigarette products. Nevertheless, it should be noted that the failure rate of a new products is quite high, which is about 40% - 90%. This fact encourages company to plan any
product development activities carefully to reduce the failure rate of such new product. One of the factor that influence the success of the new product development (NPD) activities is the determination of the appropriate framework model on the new product development. Therefore, this study is researching on the
appropriate framework model of NPD for the tobacco industry based on the identification of factors that influence the New Cigarette Product Purchase Intention of the society. Afterward, based on the results of such analysis, then an interview with one of the experts will be conducted, to obtain a more detailed and
appropriate analysis on the framework model of NPD for the tobacco industry. Therefore eventually, it is expected that the result of such analysis can becomes a consideration towards the implementation of business strategy of tobacco companies to develop its business."

"New product launching (NPL) to the local market by subsidiary managers is a strategic activity, which requires organizational supports from MNC global network. The NPL activity is marked by high level of uncertainty, risk, and market failure. Thus, a headquarter needs to integrate the subsidiary NPL into the global strategy. At the same time, subsidiary managers need to have a certain level of autonomy to ensure that the launching program is adapted to the local specificities. These two pressures have forced the subsidiary managers to take up the roles of ?boundary spanners?. Good working environment between subsidiaries? managers and headquarter is believed to be the determinant factor for the new product performance. However, good working environment between headquarter and subsidiary is not automatically conditioned. The types of coordination developed by the headquarter influence the subsidiary managers and the headquarter working environment, and hence determine the new product success. This research emphasizes that negotiation coordination is more suitable than the hierarchical coordination when building good working environment during NPL process, determines the commercial performance of new products."

"Semakin berkembangnya industri sepatu dengan begitu cepat, penting bagi sebuah perusahaan untuk dapat terus meningkatkan daya saingnya. Kebutuhan konsumen menjadi dasar yang penting dalam mengembangkan sepatu khususnya kategori sneakersuntuk bersaing dengan kompetitor. Hal itumenjadi penting bagi perusahaan untuk dapat merancang strategi pengembangan produk sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen. Oleh karena itu, dibuatlah sebuah alternatif strategi yang dapat mengembangkan produk sepatu sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai perancangan strategi berdasarkan kebutuhan konsumen (voice of customer). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah House of Quality (HOQ). Hasil dalam penelitian ini, diperoleh 3alternatif strategiyang diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi perusahaan dalam mengembangkan produk sepatu kategori sneakers.

Along with the fast-paced development of shoe industry, it is important for a company to be able to constantly escalate its competitiveness. Customer needs become the basic importance in developing shoes, notably sneakers category, to compete with competitors. It is crucial for a company to design a product development strategy that fits the needs of its customers. Therefore, product development alternative strategies, particularly for sneakers, are made based on customer needs. This research aims to design strategies based on customer needs (voice of customer). The method used in this research is House of Quality (HoQ). The output of this research shows that there are three alternative strategies that are expected to become a reference for the company in developing their product, notably sneakers category.

"Pengembangan produk obat yang berpusat pada kebutuhan konsumen atau pasien merupakan proses kompleks yang membutuhkan pendekatan sistematis dan saintifik. Pengembangan produk baru atau new product development (NPD) juga harus memerhatikan cost-efficiency, sustainability, dan profitability selama masa hidup produk (product life cycle) tersebut (Patravale, et al., 2016). Pada CPOB juga dijelaskan bahwa apabila suatu formula pembuatan atau metode preparasi baru diadopsi, hendaklah diambil langkah untuk membuktikan prosedur tersebut cocok untuk pelaksanaan produksi rutin, dan bahwa proses yang telah ditetapkan dengan menggunakan bahan dan peralatan yang telah ditentukan, akan senantiasa menghasilkan produk yang memenuhi persyaratan mutu (BPOM, 2018). PT Medifarma Laboratories merupakan industri farmasi yang berfokus pada toll manufacturing. Pengembangan produk di PT Medifarma Laboratories mencakup serangkaian prosedur yang berkaitan. Berdasarkan fakta-fakta di atas, diketahui bahwa pengembangan produk memerlukan proses yang panjang dan harus didukung oleh hasil penelitian berbasis data. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan produk atau obat yang baik. Tujuan tugas khusus ini antara lain, mengetahui alur proses pengembangan produk baru (New Product Development/NPD) dan mengetahui penyusunan Manufacturing Form and Procedure (MFP) untuk produk baru di PT Medifarma Laboratories.

The development of patient-centered or consumer-focused drug products is a complex process requiring a systematic and scientific approach. New Product Development (NPD) must also consider cost-efficiency, sustainability, and profitability throughout the product's lifecycle (Patravale et al., 2016). In the Indonesian National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) regulations, it's highlighted that when a new formulation or preparation method is adopted, steps should be taken to prove that the procedure is suitable for routine production and that the established process using specified materials and equipment will consistently produce products meeting quality requirements (BPOM, 2018). PT Medifarma Laboratories is a pharmaceutical industry focused on toll manufacturing. Product development at PT Medifarma Laboratories involves a series of related procedures. Based on the facts, it's evident that product development requires a lengthy process supported by research-based data. Therefore, it's crucial to understand the process of good product or drug development. The objectives of this specific task include understanding the workflow of New Product Development (NPD) and creating a Manufacturing Form and Procedure (MFP) for new products at PT Medifarma Laboratories."
