"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini meneliti mengenai pengaruh ethical leadeship terhadap ethical behavior yang dipengaruhi oleh peran penting dari ethical climate sebagai mediator. Penelitian ini meneliti pada industri perbankan menggunakan kuesioner yang didapatkan dari 262 responden yang bekerja di PT Bank M sebagai salah satu bank BUMN. Hipotesis penelitian dirumuskan dari penelitian sebelumnya dan diuji menggunakan structural equation model (SEM). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ethical leadership memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap ethical climate tetapi tidak berpengaruh signifikan secara langsung terhadap ethical behavior pegawai PT Bank M. Sedangkan ethical climate memiliki pengaruh signifikan full mediating terhadap hubungan antara ethical leadership dengan ethical behavior pegawai PT Bank M.

ABSTRACT
This study examined the effect of ethical leadeship on ethical behavior which is influenced by the important role of ethical climate as a mediator. This research examined the banking industry using a questionnaire obtained from 262 respondents working at PT Bank M as one of the state-owned banks. The research hypothesis was formulated from previous studies and tested using structural equation model (SEM). The results showed that ethical leadership had a significant influence on ethical climate but did not directly influence the ethical behavior of employees of PT Bank M. While ethical climate had a full mediating significant effect on the relationship between ethical leadership and ethical behavior of employees of PT Bank M."

"ABSTRAK
Kecurangan akademik merupakan salah satu isu penting yang menarik banyak perhatian. Salah satu bentuk kecurangan akademik yang kerap dibahas adalah plagiarisme. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku plagiarisme, salah satunya adalah personal ethics. Rest (1986), merumuskan empat tahap dalam mengambil keputusan etis, tahap tersebut meliputi ethical awareness, ethical judgement, ethical intention, dan tahap terakhir yaitu pelaksanaan tingkah laku. Dua pendorong berbasis kognitif yang paling penting dalam tahap pengambilan keputusan etis adalah proses ethical judgement dan ethical intention (Rest, 1986). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat variabel mana diantara ethical judgement dan ethical intention yang memiliki pengaruh paling besar terhadap plagiarisme di kalangan mahasiswa. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 504 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan Moral Equity Scale (Reidenbach dan Robin, 1990) sebagai alat ukur untuk mengukur variabel ethical judgement dan ethical intention, serta menggunakan alat ukur kecurangan akademik (Septiana, 2016) untuk mengukur variabel plagiarisme. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ethical intention (B = -.284, p < .05) memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar daripada ethical judgement (B = .146, p < .05) terhadap perilaku plagiarisme di kalangan mahasiswa. Selain itu, ditemukan informasi tambahan yakni, gender dan IPK memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap plagiarisme. Jenis plagiarisme yang paling sering dilakukan adalah plagiarisme parafrase.

ABSTRACT
Academic dishonesty is one of the most important issues that have attracted researchers' attention. One of the most common form of academic dishonesty is plagiarism. There are several factors that may contributing to plagiarism, one of the factors is personal ethics. Rest (1986), formulated four stages in making ethical decisions, these stages include ethical awareness, ethical judgment, ethical intention, and the last stage is the conduct of behavior. Two of the most noteworthy drivers of cognitive-based ethical decisions making include the processes of making an ethical judgment and constructing an ethical intention (Rest, 1986). This research is intended to see the effect of ethical judgement and ethical intention towards plagiarism among college students. There are 504 participants on this research. This research exerts Moral Equity Scale (Reidenbach dan Robin, 1990) to measure ethical judgement and ethical intention, and used academic dishonesty measurement (Septiana, 2016) to measure plagiarism. The result of this research indicates that ethical intentions (B = -.284, p < .05) have a greater influence than ethical judgments (B = .146, p < .05) on plagiarism among students. It is also discovered that gender and GPA have a significant relationship to plagiarism. The most common type of plagiarism is paraphrase plagiarism. "

Perilaku academic cheating (menyontek pada saat ujian di dalam kelas) adalah bentuk kecurangan akademik yang sering dijumpai di kalangan mahasiswa. Ethical awareness dan ethical intention merupakan proses yang berkaitan dengan perilaku academic cheating. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mencari tahu mengenai peran ethical awareness dan ethical intention terhadap perilaku academic cheating pada mahasiswa. Partisipan pada penelitian ini merupakan 472 mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia semester 2, semester 4, dan semester 8. Academic cheating diukur dengan Alat Ukur Kecurangan Akademik (Septiana, 2016). Ethical awareness dan ethical intention diukur menggunakan Ethics Scenarios (Barnett & Valentine, 2002). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peran ethical intention yang signifikan negatif terhadap academic cheating (β=-0.599, p<.001) pada mahasiswa sedangkan tidak terdapat peran ethical awareness yang signifikan terhadap perilaku academic cheating (β=-0.040, p<.001) pada mahasiswa.

 


Academic cheating behavior is a form of academic dishonesty that is often found among college students. Ethical awareness and ethical intention are processes related to academic cheating behavior. Therefore, this study looked at the role of ethical awareness and ethical intention on academic cheating behavior in college students. Participants in this study were 472 University of Indonesia students in second, forth, and eighth semester. Academic cheating was measured by the Alat Ukur Kecurangan Akademik (Septiana, 2016). Ethical awareness and ethical intention are measured using Ethics Scenarios (Barnett & Valentine, 2002). The results showed there was a significantly negative role for ethical intention on academic cheating behavior (β=-0.599, p<.001) among college students, whereas there was no significant role for ethical awareness on academic cheating behavior (β=-0.040, p<.001) among college students.
