"[ABSTRAK
Subordinasi perempuan adalah salah satu isu gender yang diperlihatkan melalui media, termasuk film. Karena masyarakat cenderung menerima film sebagai jenis media yang merepresentasikan realitas, dekonstruksi harus mengambil peran di sini. Dalam film Ruby Sparks, dekonstruksi berperan dengan cara membuat subordinasi perempuan yang dialami Ruby, tokoh perempuan utama, terlihat jelas terlebih dahulu. Dengan memperlihatkan secara jelas subordinasi tersebut, dekonstruksi pada film ini menunjukkan bahwa kontrol penuh terhadap perempuan, terutama dalam sebuah hubungan, tidak berdampak baik dan sebaliknya membuat baik pihak permpuan maupun laki-laki menderita. Namun, usaha dekonstruksi dalam film ini masih tercemari dengan nilai-nilai patriarki. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan dan menyediakan pembahasan mendalam mengenai mengapa subordinasi dalam film ini harus didekonstruksi dan mengapa dekonstruksi ini sendiri masih berisi nilai-nilai patriarki. Dengan menggunakan metode close-reading, jurnal ini menunjukkan bagaimana subordinasi perempuan dalam film Ruby Sparks membawa ke masalah-masalah yang lebih dalam yang berkaitan dengan gender, dan bahwa cara film ini mendekonstruksi subordinasi perempuan masih patriarkal.ABSTRACT Female subordination is one of gender issues which is frequently shown through media, including movies. Since poeple tend to perceive movies as a form of media which represents reality, deconstruction needs to take role. In the movie Ruby Sparks, deconstruction works by making female subordination towards Ruby, the main female character, obvious first. By showing female subordination clearly, deconstruction in this movie works by showing how total control over female, especially in relationship, does not work and instead it leads both the man and woman to be miserable. Nevertheless, the effort of deconstruction in this movie is still tainted by patriarchal values. This journal aims to show and provide in-depth discussion of why female subordination in this movie has to be deconstructed, and why the deconstruction itself is actually tainted by patriarchal values. "Indonesia is one of the countries of origin for migrant workers in the world. In the context of migration, the discourse on natural resources,
sustainable economy, and women’s empowerment are not the mainstream discussion. The resilience or economic sustainability of returnee women migrant workers (RWMWs) is also a major problem in migration policy schemes and practices in Indonesia. This paper explores how the model of economic empowerment in Kenanga Village, Indramayu District, as a local initiative can bring welfare
toward RWMWs and goes beyond the discourse of safe migration. The data in this research analyzed using Harvard and Longwee’ gender analysis tools as well as indicator of gender mainstreaming, and Naila Kabeer’s theory of empowerment. This paper finds that local initiatives of productive economy have a positive impact on the economic sustainability of RWMWs in Kenanga Village. It is important to develop economic resilience as an alternative to alleviate poverty. However, in
the empowerment program, it is important to consider various aspects of gender justice."

"Perempuan korban Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) yang ditinggal suami (mengalami penelantaran), menjadi bagian masyarakat yang terpinggirkan dalam berbagai program pemberdayaan di Timor-Leste. Sekretaria Estadu Igualdade no Inkluzaun (SEII) berupaya membantu korban KDRT. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berperspektif gender. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 9 orang terdiri atas 3 perempuan korban KDRT (bukan penerima program SEII), 3 anggota kelompok perempuan penerima manfaat program pemberdayaan ekonomi SEII, 2 subjek dari kementrian (SEII dan Kementerian Sosial Timor-Leste), serta seorang subjek dari NGO/LSM (Fokupers). Pengambilan data dilakukan di 3 desa di Timor-Leste yaitu suco Lau-hata, Maumeta, dan Vaviquinia, sebagai desa-desa yang menjadi bagian dari sasaran program SEII. Analisis pada penelitian ini didukung pemikiran atau teori Eileen McDonagh tentang Gender and State: Acomodating and Inclusion, Regina Frey tentang Paradox of Gender Budgeting, dan alat analisis gender model Sarah Longwe terkait perencanaan program pemberdayaan perempuan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk merealisasikan kebijakan, program dan anggaran yang baik dibutuhkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang langkah-langkah perencanaan Anggaran Responsif Gender (ARG) yang didukung penggunaan alat analisis gender. Program pemberdayaan juga tidak selalu hanya menyasar kepada kelompok, namun perlu memikirkan program untuk individu perempuan korban KDRT yang berada dalam situasi atau kondisi khusus.
Women victims of Domestic Violence (DV) who are neglected and left by their husbands have become part of society who are marginalized in various empowerment programs in Timor-Leste. Sekretaria Estadu Igualdade no Inkluzaun (SEII) seeks to help victims of domestic violence through women's economic empowerment programs, using a Gender Responsive Budgeting (ARG). This research uses a qualitative approach with a gender perspective. The research subjects were 9 people consisting of 3 women victims of domestic violence (not recipients of the SEII program), 3 members of the SEII economic empowerment program beneficiary women group, 2 subjects from the ministry (SEII and the Ministry of Social Timor-Leste), and a subject from an NGO (Fokupers). Data were collected in 3 villages in Timor-Leste, namely Lau-hata, Maumeta, and Vaviquinia, as these villages have been part of the SEII program targets. The analysis of data in this study is supported by Eileen McDonagh's theory on Gender and State, Regina Frey's theory on the Paradox of Gender Budgeting, and Sarah Longwe's model of gender analysis tools related to program planning. The research findings show that in order to implement sound policies, programs and budgets, knowledge and understanding of the planning steps for Gender Responsive Budgeting (ARG) are needed, which are supported by the use of gender analysis tools. Empowerment programs also do not always only target groups, but need to think about programs for individual women victims of domestic violence who are in special situations or conditions."
