"Growth faltering pada bayi di Kabupaten Indramayu, Jawa Barat. Bayi lahir di Indramayu di ukur berat dan panjang lahirnya dan panjang badan pada umur-umur berikutnya yaitu umur 1,2,3,4,5,6 bulan, 9 bulan dan 12 bulan. Kohor selama 2 tahun ini terdiri dari 720 bayi yang dapat diukur saat lahir, 534 bayi yang dapat diukur pada umur hingga 3 bulan, 408 bayi hingga umur 6 bulan dan 271 bayi hingga umur 12 bulan. Dari 720 bayi lahir itu, 516 adalah bayi normal, 63 prematur dan 141 IUGR. Growth faltering diukur setiap 2 bulan sekali. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa growth faltering sudah terjadi pada umur dini bayi dan dalam keadaan lingkungan yang buruk, kelompok bayi yang paling terkena dampak growth faltering adalah kelompok bayi lahir normal namun derajat growth faltering yang terbesar (cm) dialami oleh kelompok IUGR API.

Infant Growth Faltering at the District of Indramayu, West Java. Newborns in Indramayu were examined for their birth weight and length and their subsequent at the age of 1, 2,3,4,5,6 mpnth, 9 and 12 month, This 2 years cohort study included 720 newborns who were able to be measured at birth, 534 newborns up to 3 months of age, 408 newborns up to 6 mopnths of age and 271 newborns up to 12 months of age. Out of 720 newborns, there were 516 normal babies, 63 preterms and 141 IUGR.Growth faltering was calculated bi monthly up to 6 months old. This study suggested that growth faltering had started at early stage of life and in an inconvenient environment normal babies suffered most, but the IUGR API babies had the highest degree of faltering (cm)."

"The application of fish recombinant growth hormone (rGH) has been known as one of the methods to improve the growth performance of cultured fishes, one of which is the striped catfish Pangasianodon hypophthalmus, a species that is becoming commercially attractive in Indonesia. Hence, this study was aimed to evaluate the effects of rGH supplementation in commercial diet on the growth, feed utilization and flesh quality in P. hypophthalmus grow out. The rGH was mixed with chicken egg yolk and sprayed on the commercial feeds with different protein levels (32, 28 and 23%). In the control, the feeds were also sprayed with chicken egg yolk but without rGH. Striped catfish with body weights of 110.66 ± 1.32 g ind-1 were fed on rGH-supplemented diets two times a week during the first and third months, and during the rest of the months they were fed on diet without rGH supplementation. The fishes were reared for 120 days in 18 hapa (2×1×1.5 m3) with initial density of 20 fishes per hapa. The result showed that the highest weight gain, specific growth rate (SGR), and lowest feed conversion ratio (FCR) were obtained by fishes fed on 32% protein content with rGH-supplemented diet. No significant difference was observed in the weight gain, SGR and FCR in rGH treated group with 28% protein content with rGH supplemented diet and non-rGH control group receiving 32% protein diet. Similar moisture content of meat, protein content of meat, belly fat and edible portion were observed in rGH-supplemented diet and their control. Except in the treatment 23% protein content rGH supplemented diet that has lower lipid content in fish body and meat. The highest SGR was obtained when the fishes were fed on the 32% protein feed combined with rGH. Enrichment with rGH depleted the fat content in the meat of fish fed on all levels of protein in which the lowest fat was found in the 23% protein feed"

"Penelitian tentang metode freezing (-4° C) dengan menggunakan freezer lemari pendingin untuk preservasi 13 strain Nostoc [Vaucher 1803] Bornet et Flahault 1886 telah dilakukan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan tumbuh dan respon tumbuh strain Nostoc setelah dipreservasi. Strain Nostoc yang diujikan berumur 15 hari dalam medium BG11 bebas unsur nitrogen (pH 7,2). Preservasi koloni Nostoc menggunakan DMSO 5% selama 1 dan 7 hari. Koloni Nostoc tanpa penambahan DMSO 5% digunakan sebagai kontrol. Masing-masing perlakuan dan kontrol dilakukan dalam dua kali ulangan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 11 dari 13 strain (84,62%) dapat bertahan dan berhasil tumbuh setelah preservasi. Sebelas strain Nostoc tersebut menunjukkan respon tumbuh yang berbeda-beda. Metode freezing (-4° C) menggunakan freezer lemari pendingin dapat digunakan sebagai metode preservasi strain Nostoc yang sederhana dan mudah.

The use of freezing method (-4° C) by using freezer refrigerator for preservation thirteen Nostoc [Vaucher 1803] Bornet et Flahault 1886 strains had been studied. The purpose of this study was to assess strains ability to grow and grow response after being preserved. Nostoc strains cultured in BG11 N free agar (pH 7,2) for 15 days were used. The preservation used 5% DMSO for 1 and 7 days. Nostoc colonies without presence of 5% DMSO were used as a control. Each test was carried out in duplicate.

The results showed that 11 of 13 strains (84,62%) were able to survive and grow after treatment. 11 Nostoc strains showed different grow response. Freezing method (-4° C) by using freezer refrigerator can be used as a simple and inexpensive preservation method for Nostoc strains."

"ABSTRAKThe objective of this research was to investigate the effects of Oroxylum indicum extracts on breast cancer MCF 7 cell proliferation and migration. Four parts of O. indicum, including leaf, bark, pod, and seed, were used. The total phenolic and flavonoid contents were determined to be at high concentrations in the four parts of O. indicum with the seed extract showing the highest levels. For MCF 7 cell death and proliferation, all O. indicum extracts caused stimulating cancer cell death and inhibiting cancer cell proliferation in dose and time dependent manners, surprisingly, the seed extract had the highest effects to inhibit cell proliferation. The IC50 values of cell viability of O. indicum extracts were demonstrated as 161.2 8.63, 286.73 33.01, 149.03 8.81, and 107.06 5.66 mg/mL for leaf, pod, bark, and seed, respectively. Cell counts by crystal violet staining showed that the seed extract stimulated cell death at the lowest concentration. Moreover, all of the O. indicum extracts decreased MCF 7 cell colony formation. Finally, we found that O. indicum extracts could inhibit cancer cell migration in a dose dependent manner. In conclusion, our results showed that the seed extract of O. indicum showed the highest cytotoxic and anti-migratory activity, which was more than in the leaf, pod, and bark, on breast MCF 7 cell cancer and O. indicum can be an anticancer agent for breast cancer patients."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran komitmen afektif sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dan intensi mengundurkan diri pada guru. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru di sekolah internasional XYZ yang berjumlah 80 orang dengan sampel seluruh populasi. Metode pengambilan data dengan metode survei menggunakan instrumen penelitian job description index, affective commitment organization questionaire, dan turnover intention scale. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa komitmen afektif berperan sebagai mediasi penuh pada hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dan intensi mengundurkan diri guru. Bentuk intervensi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan individual coaching pada lini atasan dengan model GROW, untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja dan komitmen afektif yang akan menurunkan intensi mengundurkan diri pada guru. Intervensi coaching signifikan meningkatkan kepuasan kerja pada guru, dengan hasil uji signifikansi peningkatan nilai mean post test (t = -10,702 dengan p<0,001). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dukungan atasan sebagai aspek kepuasan kerja dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja yang akan berdampak pada peningkatan komitmen afektif pada guru.

This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of affective commitment on the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention in international school teachers. Data was collected through questionnaire from 80 teachers in XYZ international school. In this study used job description index scale, affective commitment organization questionaire, and turnover intention scale.

Analysis result indicated that affective commitment fully mediates the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention. Intervention in this study has used individual of coaching supervisor support with GROW model for improving job satisfaction; this will apparently reducing turnover intention of the teachers and engender affective commitment. Coaching intervention found increased job satisfaction of teachers, with significance test in mean post test (t = -10.702, p <0.001). It can be concluded that supervisor support as a aspect of job satisfaction will increase job satisfaction which will impact on affective commitment to teachers."
