"This research discusses about the meaning of the text perfume ad for boys and girls which is related with gender stereotype. This research's aims are to explain type of gender stereotype in teens magazines related to sociolinguistic. Methods used in this research are qualitative to describe a staple meaning in perfume ad text and quantitative to get some description about gender stereotype forms in teenagers. Some theories that are applied are Semantics and gender theory about stereotype. The result is the meaning in perfume ad text has a relation with gender stereotype"

"ABSTRAK
Artikel ini membahas maskulinitas dalam majalah COSMOPOLITAN RUSSIA. Di dalam artikel ini, pembahasan difokuskan pada tiga iklan cetak parfum SAUVAGE-DIOR, HUGO BOSS-INTENSE dan DOLCE GABBANA-LIGHT BLUE yang dimuat dalam edisi Januari 2017. Artikel ini dianalisis menggunakan teori Semiotika Roland Barthes. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil analisis artikel ini menyatakan bahwa ma- jalah COSMOPOLITAN RUSSIA yang diyakini mengusung konten wanita dan femininitas juga menampilkan iklan cetak parfum pria yang memberikan dampak yang secara implisit melalui tampilan maskulinitas yang dipromosikan pada tampilan fisik yang kuat, emosional dengan wanita, kebebasan, kesuksesan, kemewahan, serta status sosial.

ABSTRACT
This article discusses masculinity in COSMOPOLITAN RUSSIA magazine. In this article, the discussion focused on three men fragrance advertisements, SAUVAGE DIOR, HUGO BOSS INTENSE and DOLCE GABBANA LIGHT BLUE which featured in the January 2017 issue. This article was analyzed using the theory of Semiotics by Roland Barthes. The method used is descriptive analysis method. The results of the analysis of this article stated that COSMOPOLITAN RUSSIA magazine was not only brought up women and feminity content, but also showed a man ad vertisements which contain an implicit effect by portraying masculinity through strong physical appearance, emo tional attached with women, freedom, success, wealth, and social status. "
