'Nazi Germany : confronting the myths' provides a concise andcompelling introduction to the Third Reich. At the same time,it challenges and demystifies the many stereotypes surroundingHitler and Nazi Germany. * Creates a succinct, argument-driven overview for students byusing common myths and stereotypes to encourage critical engagementwith the subject * Provides an up-to-date historical synthesis based on the latestresearch in the field * Argues that in order to fully understand and explain thisperiod of history, we need to address its seeming paradoxes -for example, questioning why most Germans viewed the Third Reich asa legitimate government, despite the Nazis' criminality * Incorporates useful study features, including a timeline, glossary, maps, and illustrations.

Mohammed Arkoun is one of international modern Islamic thinkers that his thought comes into Islamic thinking
discourses in Indonesia recently. His Islamic thought was influenced by the modern philosophical concepts such as
‘myths’ of Ricouer, postmodern concepts like ‘discourse’ and ‘episteme’, which were developed by Foucault as well as
‘deconstruction’ of Derrida. If Derrida focused on deconstruction as a final concept, on the other hand Arkoun insisted
that ‘deconstruction’ must be followed by ‘reconstruction’ of a discourse. Arkoun’s reconstruction leaves the limitation,
the rigidity and deviation from the past. Arkoun proposes two ways: firstly it is ‘ijtihad’ and subsequently it is Islamic
critical reason with the whole of critical meaning. In this research I used the method of library investigation. Based on
the result I came into the conclusion that Arkoun loss the communication with the scholars in the Islamic world,
particularly in the Middle East tradition. Since, he applied the method of deconstruction that Islamic world percept it
was going too far.

......This study aims to explore the narrative in boys' love produced by gay men and how the gay representations made by them are used to dismantle myths of homosexuality formed by women. Boys' love is a genre in popular media with a narrative that focuses on romantic and sexual relationships between men. From the very beginning, this genre was created by and aimed at presumably heterosexual women. Women develop myths about male homosexuality in boys' love, which pushed gay men to develop their own stories within the genre that are relevant to their experiences. Using Barthes' semiotic model, this study analyzes five scenes from a series made by gay man called I Told Sunset About You. Research findings show that gay men form myths in boys' love to dismantle the myth of homosexuality made by women, as well as to criticize heteronormative structures. In addition, results also show that boys' love as a form of commercialization of queer culture has the potential for LGBTQ activism.
