"Latar Belakang: Pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan pembatasan seluruh aktivitas manusia. Di bidang pendidikan, penerapan moda pembelajaran teori IKGA menggunakan PBL yang biasanya tatap muka digantikan oleh pembelajaran daring selama pandemi Covid-19.
Tujuan: Menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa terhadap perubahan moda pembelajaran teori IKGA di Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Indonesia selama masa pandemi Covid-19.
Metode: Penelitian cross-sectional pada mahasiswa FKG UI. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa FKG UI angkatan 2017 - 2019. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara random sampling dan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner melalui Google Form.
Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap moda pembelajaran selama pandemi Covid-19 baik dan perbedaan bermakna antar tiga kelompok hanya pada persiapan mahasiswa menuju program profesi (P-value = 0,023) dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa memasuki program profesi (P-value = 0,000).
Kesimpulan: Persiapan mahasiswa menuju program profesi dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa memasuki program profesi lebih baik dalam pembelajaran luring daripada pembelajaran daring.

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic has led to resctriction all of human activities. In education, the application of theorical of pediatric dentistry using PBL that are usually face-to-face was replaced by online learning during Covid-19 pandemic.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess dental students perceptions towards theorical of pediatric dentistry learning mode during the Covid-19 pandemic in Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Indonesia.
Methods: This study used a cross-sectional analysis and conducted on dental students of Faculty of Dentistry Univeristy of Indonesia batch 2017 - 2019. The sampling technique was random sampling and data collection used a questionnaire via Google Form.
Results: From a total of 150 respondents, all student perception mostly good and there were significant differences between students in preparation for clinical programs (P-value = 0.023) and confidence in entering clinical programs (P-value = 0.000).
Conclusions: Dental students of Faculty of Dentistry University of Indonesia have good perception towards learning mode during COVID- 19 pandemic. Student preparation for clinical programs and confidence in entering clinical programs are way better in offline than online learning

"Latar Belakang: Mahasiswa kedokteran gigi sudah selayaknya memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang mumpuni terkait Ilmu Kedokteran Gigi Anak, sehingga ketika menjadi dokter gigi dapat menangani permasalahan gigi dan mulut anak secara komprehensif. Kegiatan belajar mengajar di FKG UI dialihkan menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh ketika pandemi COVID-19. Perubahan metode pembelajaran yang terjadi mungkin mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa untuk memahami materi pembelajaran serta keterampilan klinis akibat tidak adanya interaksi langsung.
Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pemahaman dan tingkat keterampilan mahasiswa preklinik FKG UI yang menerima materi pembelajaran Ilmu Kedokteran Gigi Anak dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh.
Metode: Penelitian deskriptif potong lintang pada 92 mahasiswa preklinik FKG UI angkatan 2019 dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya (Cronbach’s alpha > 0,9). Data dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 25.
Hasil: Tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa preklinik FKG UI mengenai teori IKGA tergolong dalam kategori paham (78,3% responden), dimana pemahaman dengan rata-rata tertinggi adalah terkait topik faktor risiko Early Childhood Caries (ECC) (X=4,00) dan yang terendah adalah terkait topik prosedur restorasi Celluloid Strip Crowns (X=3,13). Tingkat keterampilan mahasiswa preklinik FKG UI mengenai skills lab IKGA tergolong dalam kategori terampil (60,9% responden) dengan rata-rata tertinggi adalah terkait dengan topik perawatan pit and fissure sealant pada pasien anak (X=4,00) dan yang terendah adalah terkait dengan topik terapi pulpa pada pasien anak, yaitu Direct Pulp Therapy (X=2,80).
Kesimpulan: Tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan responden terkait materi Ilmu Kedokteran Gigi Anak yang diberikan dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh termasuk dalam kategori paham dan terampil.

Background: Dental students should have qualified knowledge and understanding related to Pediatric Dentistry so that when they become a dentist, they can deal with children's dental and oral problems comprehensively. Teaching and learning activities at FKG UI were transferred to distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes in learning methods that occur may affect students' ability to understand the learning material as well as clinical skills due to the absence of direct interaction.
Objective: To identify the level of understanding and skill level of FKG UI preclinical students who receive Pediatric Dentistry learning materials with distance learning.
Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 92 preclinical dental students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia, class of 2019, using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability (Cronbach's alpha > 0.9). Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25.
Result: The level of understanding of preclinical students of FKG UI regarding Pediatric Dentistry theory was classified in the category of understanding (78.3% of respondents), where the highest average understanding was related to the topic of risk factors for Early Childhood Caries (ECC) (X=4.00) and the lowest was related to the topic of Celluloid Strip Crowns restoration procedures (X=3.13). The skill level of FKG UI preclinical students regarding IKGA lab skills was classified in the skilled category (60.9% of respondents) with the highest average related to the topic of pit and fissure sealant treatment in pediatric patients (X=4.00) and the lowest related to the topic of pulp therapy in pediatric patients, namely Direct Pulp Therapy (X=2.80).
Conclusion: The level of understanding and skills of respondents related to Pediatric Dentistry materials provided by distance learning are included in the category of understanding and skilled.

"Latar Belakang: Kepercayaan diri merupakan aspek yang penting dan harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa profesi dalam melakukan suatu prosedur, terutama dalam bidang kedokteran gigi anak yang mencakup banyak prosedur khusus dan dibutuhkan banyak pengalaman. Adanya perubahan metode pembelajaran menjadi Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) pada masa pandemi COVID-19 di akademik dapat berdampak pada tingkat kepercayaan diri mahasiswa profesi dalam pembelajaran klinis di unit kedokteran gigi anak. Tujuan: Mengetahui persepsi kepercayaan diri mahasiswa profesi tahun pertama dalam pembelajaran klinis di unit kedokteran gigi anak pada masa pandemi
COVID-19. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi analisis cross sectional dan dilakukan kepada 63 orang mahasiswa profesi kedokteran gigi tahun pertama yang telah melewati stase Ilmu Kedokteran Gigi Anak (IKGA) dengan menggunakan kuesioner melalui Google Form yang terbagi menjadi tiga domain pertanyaan, yaitu keterampilan klinis, manajemen pasien, dan
pengembangan profesional dan pengelolaan klinis. Pengukuran kepercayaan diri menggunakan Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) diwakili dari poin '0' tidak percaya diri sama sekali dan '10' penuh percaya diri. Hasil Penelitian: Dari total 63 responden, keseluruhan analisis kepercayaan diri yang
dinilai positif dengan median VAS ≥ 5. Rata-rata median VAS pada keterampilan klinis 7.83±0.83 (range=2–10; n=63; 100%) manajemen pasien 7.83±0.83 (range=2–10; n=63; 100%), dan pengembangan profesional serta pengelolaan klinis 8,37±0.51 (range=2–10; n=63; 100%). Kesimpulan: Secara keseluruhan, mahasiswa profesi tahun pertama kedokteran gigi Universitas
Indonesia memiliki kepercayaan diri dalam pembelajaran klinis di unit kedokteran gigi anak pada masa pandemi COVID-19.

Background: Self-confidence is an important aspect and must be owned by professional students
in carrying out a procedure, especially in the field of pediatric dentistry which includes many
special procedures and requires a lot of experience. The change in learning methods to Distance
Learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in academics can have an impact on the level of
professional student confidence in clinical learning in the pediatric dentistry unit. Objective: To
find out the perception of self-confidence of first-year professional students in clinical learning in
the pediatric dentistry unit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This study used a crosssectional
analysis study and was conducted on 63 first-year dental professional students who had
passed the Pediatric Dentistry stage by using a questionnaire via Google Form which was divided
into three domain questions, namely clinical skills, patient management , and professional
development and clinical governance. Self-confidence is measured by Visual Analog Scale (VAS)
which is represented from the point '0' is not confident at all and '10' is full of confidence. Results:
From a total of 63 respondents, the overall confidence analysis was assessed as positive with
median VAS ≥ 5. Median VAS mean in clinical skills 7.83 ± 0.83 (range = 2–10; n = 63; 100%)
patient management 7.83 ± 0.83 (range=2–10; n=63; 100%), and professional development and
clinical management 8.37±0.51 (range=2–10; n=63; 100%). Conclusions: Overall, first year
professional students of dentistry at the University of Indonesia have confidence in clinical
learning in the pediatric dentistry unit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
