"Satelindo Telecast Services (Asia Link) merupakan suatu jenis layanan produk telekomunikasi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi transmisi satelit yang memiliki peluang bisnis yang cukup besar untuk meningkatkan pendapatan PT. Satelindo. Pada kenyataannya tingkat penggunaan layanan jasa telecast sejak mulai diluncurkan pada tahun 1998 hingga sekarang angka pertumbuhannya kecil dan cenderung fluktuatif serta sangat bergantung pada kondisi sosial, politik serta keamanan nasional.
Tulisan ini membahas tentang bagaimana perkembangan bisnis layanan jasa telecast dilihat dari produk yang sudah dipasarkan, dimana bila ditinjau dari sisi pertumbuhan pendapatan menunjukkan kurangnya minat pelanggan untuk menggunakan layanan jasa telecast.
Pembahasan dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat bantu matrik internal dan eksternal, metode analisa SWOT, analisa produk serta analisa persaingan industri, dan dari hasil analisa tersebut diperoleh altematif strategi yang dianalisa dengan menggunakan matrik QSPM.
Dibandingkan dengan pesaingnya (PT Telkom), Asia Link masih lebih unggul dengan skor total 3,45 (skor PT Telkom: 3,32), serta berada pada kuadran I dengan strategi S-0 atau strategi agresif yaitu memanfaatkan peluang yang ada dengan kekuatan yang dimiliki perusahaan.
Berdasarkan hasil analisa diperoleh strategi pemasaran yang diusulkan, yaitu: Peningkatan jangkauan serta kualitas layanan dengan melakukan promosi yang lebih efektif serta diiringi dengan penyesuaian tarif yang sesuai bagi pelanggan atau pengguna layanan.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan investigasi terhadap tiga elemen modal intelektual, yaitu: modal manusia, modal struktural dan modal pelanggan, serta hubungannya dengan kinerja bisnis pada sektor industri jasa dan non jasa di Jakarta. Survei dilakukan kepada 64 orang manajer atau setingkat manajer dengan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner skala Likert dengan tujuh pilihan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis korelasi dan pengaruh (analisis jalur).
Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa baik untuk sampel sektor industri jasa dan non jasa: (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara modal manusia dengan modal pelanggan, (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara modal manusia dengan modal struktural, (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara modal pelanggan dengan modal struktural, (4) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara modal struktural dengan kinerja bisnis.
Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari: (1) modal manusia terhadap modal pelanggan, (2) modal manusia dan modal pelanggan terhadap modal struktural, (3) modal struktural terhadap kinerja bisnis, baik untuk sektor industri jasa dan non jasa. Hasil lain yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung modal manusia terhadap modal struktural untuk sektor industri jasa dan non jasa, (2) terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung yang positif dan signifikan dari modal manusia terhadap kinerja bisnis untuk sektor industri jasa dan non jasa, (3) terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung yang positif dan signifikan dari modal pelanggan ke kinerja bisnis untuk sektor industri jasa dan non jasa.
Penelitian ini menegaskan adanya hubungan yang positif antar elemen-elemen modal intelektual, dan saling mempengaruhi satu dengan lainnya. Modal intelektual yang dikelola dengan baik akan membawa dampak yang besar bagi kinerja bisnis. Sebaliknya dampak modal intelektual yang buruk akan menyulitkan perusahaan untuk mempunyai keunggulan bersaing. Ke depan peran SDM perusahaan adalah membangun praktek-praktek manajemen SDM yang sebangun dengan strategi pengetahuan perusahaan, misalnya dengan cara membantu pengembangan atau memperkuat peran perilaku (karyawan) yang membantu dalam menurunkan biaya-biaya atau memperkuat diferensiasi produk."
