"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai peran keterbacaan signage secara legibile dan visibile dalam proses navigasi terutama di ruang publik. Legibility berkaitan dengan signage sebagai objek yang memiliki karakter grafis, sedangkan visibility diukur berdasarkan kondisi spasial. Skripsi ini menggunakan sebuah mal di Jakarta Selatan sebagai subjek pengamatan dalam menganalisis legibility dan visibility signage. Legibility dianalisis melalui efisiensi informasi, penggunaan bahasa, pemilihan warna, dan posisi yang strategis mampu menghadirkannya sebagai sebuah brand image atas Environmental Graphic Design. Visibility dianalisis berdasarkan teori wayfinding behaviour, akses visual yang hadir baik vertikal dan horizontal serta pemanfaatan landmark pada instalasi signage. Melalui hasil observasi dan studi literatur, keterbukaan floor plan merupakan dasar agar signage terbaca dari jauh dan terikat satu sama lain untuk menciptakan boundaries non-fisik. Inkonsistensi gaya pada grafis akan mengurangi familiaritas terhadap signage. Didapatkan bahwa legibility dan visibility pada signage berperan untuk meningkatkan keterbacaan dan familiaritas informasi grafis dengan memberikan keleluasaan ruang dan posisi bagi pelaku wayfinding tanpa adanya unnecessary distraction dari elemen arsitektur terbangun saat melakukan proses navigasi.

This undergraduate thesis discusses the role of signage’s legibility and visibility in the navigation process, particularly in public spaces. Legibility refers to the signage as an object with graphic characteristics, while visibility is measured on the associated spatial conditions. This thesis uses a mall in South Jakarta as the subject of observation in analysing the legibility and visibility of signage. Legibility is analysed based on information efficiency, multilanguage, colour selection, and strategic position can present as a brand image in Environmental Graphic Design. Visibility is analysed based on the theory of wayfinding behaviour, the presence of visual access both vertically and horizontally, and the utilization of landmarks in signage installations. Through this observation and literature review, it is found that the openness of floor plan serves as a basis for signage to be seen from distance and interconnected to one and another to create non-physical boundaries. It is concluded that legibility and visibility in signage play a role in enhancing the readability and familiarity of graphic information by providing spatial freedom and positioning for wayfinding actors without unnecessary distraction from the built architectural elements during the navigation process."

"The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of hospital inpatient ward spatial configuration in relation to visibility. Visibility is an important aspect in a hospital inpatient ward, and could support healthcare performance. Visibility is required in an inpatient ward for the purposes of control, surveillance, interaction and communication among patients and nurses, and it could be affected by the spatial configuration of the ward. Based on isovist as a way to visualize the visual experience in surrounding environments, we developed an analytical tool to evaluate the visibility of an inpatient ward in a planned university teaching hospital. The findings illustrate the visibility as experienced by the users in the everyday operation of the hospital ward. Some recommendations for improvement were suggested to the existing spatial configuration for better visibility."

"Masyarakat modern diketahui memiliki banyak ruang dimana orang-orang di dalamnya diawasi, baik didasari oleh alasan negatif maupun positif, baik oleh manusia maupun oleh sesuatu yang bersifat mekanis, termasuk di dalam ruang publik. Ruang publik menerapkan adanya surveillance sebagai fungsi pengawasan yang menghasilkan adanya kontrol yang mengatur dalam ruang tersebut. Beberapa elemen surveillance yang berbeda akan mengatur ruang tersebut dengan menyesuaikan setiap kebutuhan di dalam ruang publik. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui kaitan surveillance dengan kontrol di dalam arsitektur yang dapat meningkatkan performa ruang publik sehingga menyebabkan adanya pengamatan sebagai fungsi keamanan. Penulis mengobservasi Pasar Baru sebagai ruang publik dengan menggunakan gagasan Eyes On the Street yang digagas oleh Jane Jacobs, teori Panopticon oleh Jeremy Bentham, beserta teori-teori pendukung lainnya. Sejumlah permasalahan akan dijawab dengan mengaitkan surveillance dengan kontrol, bagaimana surveillance bekerja dalam ruang publik, serta efek yang ditimbulkan oleh surveillance terhadap ruang publik.

Modern society is known to have a lot of space where people in it are supervised, both based on negative and positive reasons, both by humans and by something mechanical, including in public space. Public space implements surveillance as a supervisory function that results in controls governing the space. Several different surveillance elements will regulate the space by adjusting every need in the public space. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to find out the relation between surveillance and control in architecture that can improve the performance of public space, thereby causing observations as a security function. The author observes Pasar Baru as a public space using the idea of ​​Eyes On the Street initiated by Jane Jacobs, Panopticon theory by Jeremy Bentham, along with other supporting theories. A number of problems will be answered by linking surveillance with control, how surveillance works in public space, and the effects of surveillance on public space."

"Ketebalan dan porositas reservoar merupakan dua parameter yang krusial dalam perhitungan cadangan minyak atau gas di suatu lapangan. Namun, data seismik yang tersedia dibatasi oleh resolusi vertikal yang sulit untuk mengkarakterisasi reservoar yang bervariasi. Menurut Brown (2009), terdapat dua limit resolusi vertikal data seismik, yaitu limit separabilitas dan limit visibilitas. Limit separabilitas merupakan ketebalan minimum reservoar yang dapat dipisahkan oleh dua wiggle seismik yang biasanya mencapai 1/4 dari panjang gelombang. Pada kondisi ini disebut dengan kondisi tuning. Limit visibilitas merupakan reservoar tertipis yang dapat dilihat oleh amplitudo seismik yang dalam kondisi yang baik dapat mencapai 1/30 dari panjang gelombang. Dengan adanya teori tersebut, peneliti melihat adanya peluang untuk meresolusi seismik di bawah tuning thickness-nya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengkombinasikan data sumur dan data seismik melalui kalibrasi statistical tuning chart dan model Amplitude Tuning - Porosity*Thickness. Data seismik yang digunakan adalah berupa ekstraksi amplitudo dan isochrone serta analisis frekuensinya. Dengan cara ini, kita dapat meningkatkan resolusi vertikal hingga mendekati limit visibilitas data seismik. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa peta ketebalan dan peta porosity-thickness dalam domain kedalaman yang sudah terkalibrasi sumur. Lebih dari itu, analisis sedimentologi akan dipadukan guna mengevaluasi peta tersebut agar sesuai dengan fasies sedimennya. Selain itu, peneliti juga mensimulasikan perhitungan volumetrik gas pada reservoar. Pada akhirnya, peta ketebalan yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat mengurangi ketidakpastian dalam perhitungan cadangan yang nantinya akan mempengaruhi keekonomian lapangan.

Reservoir thickness and porosity are two crucial parameters in calculating oil or gas reserves in a field. However, available seismic data is limited by vertical resolution that makes it difficult to characterize the reservoir's variability. According to Brown (2009), there are two limits to the vertical resolution of seismic data, namely the separability limit and the visibility limit. The separability limit is the minimum reservoir thickness that can be separated by two seismic wiggles which usually reaches 1/4 of the wavelength. This phenomenon is called tuning condition. The visibility limit is the thinnest reservoir that can be seen by seismic amplitude which in good conditions can reach 1/30 of the wavelength. With this theory, researchers see an opportunity to resolve resolution below the tuning thickness. This research was carried out by combining well data and seismic data through statistical tuning chart calibration and the Amplitude Tuning - Porosity*Thickness model. The seismic data used is in the form of amplitude and isochrone extraction and frequency analysis. In this way, we can increase the vertical resolution to close to the visibility limit of seismic data. The results of this research are thickness maps and porosity-thickness maps in depth domain. Moreover, sedimentological analyses are integrated to evaluate the map to match the sedimentary facies. Apart from that, researchers also simulated gas volumetric calculations in the reservoir. In the end, the resulting thickness map is expected to reduce uncertainty in reserve calculations which will later affect field economics."

"ABSTRAK
Sistem pendeteksi asap tipe fotoelektrik telah dikembangkan dalam
penelitian ini. Sistem memanfaatkan sinar laser komersial sebagai sumber cahaya
dan sensor cahaya photodioda sebagai receiver. Sebuah micro controller
diaplikasikan untuk mengontrol sistem termasuk merekam data eksperimen.
Perbandingan intensitas awal dan intensitas asap yang diterima oleh
sensor cahaya photodioda dipergunakan untuk mengukur nilai densitas optik dari
asap. Untuk mendapatkan konsistensi di dalam pengukuran densitas optik, di
dalam tahap pengembangannya, telah dilakukan kalibrasi menggunakan lima buah
(5) lensa terkalibrasi dengan densitas optik yang berbeda.
Sistem pendeteksi asap yang telah dikembangkan kemudian diaplikasikan
untuk mengukur densitas optik asap yang berasal dari pembakaran kertas dengan
variasi massa dan volume ruang uji. Secara simultan juga dilakukan pengukuran
jarak pandang tanda EXIT dengan ketebalan asap yang berbeda. Penelitian ini
membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara densitas optik asap
terukur dengan jarak pandang / visibilitas tanda EXIT.

Abstract
A photoelectric smoke detection system was developed in this work. The
system utilised a commercial laser beam as a source light and photodiode light
sensor as a receiver. A microcontroller was applied to control the system
incluiding the recording of the experimental data.
The ratio between initial intensity and smoke intensity received by
photodiode light sensor was used to measure the value of smoke optical density.
In order to get consistency in the measurement of optical density, the device has
been calibrated using five (5) calibrated lens with different optical density.
The smoke detection system which has been developed was applied for
measure smoke optical density from burning paper with mass and volume of
chamber variation. Simultaneously, it?s also applied to measure the visibility of
EXIT sign with different optical density. This research proves that there is a
positive relation between smoke optical density measured and the visibility of
EXIT sign.

"Meningkatnya tren gaya hidup sehat dan penetrasi smartphone membuka peluang bagi pengembang aplikasi untuk menciptakan aplikasi sport and fitness tracker yang dapat memantau aktifitas fisik pengguna bersamaan dengan data lainnya. Penyedia layanan perlu mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keputusan pengguna dalam menggunakan aplikasi sport and fitness tracker, salah satunya dengan pendekatan extended technology model. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan extended technology acceptance model yang dikombinasikan dengan innovation diffusion theory. Penelitian ini melibatkan 216 responden dan dianalisis menggunakan pemodelan Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perceived usefulness dan perceived ease of use berpengaruh terhadap intensi penggunaan aplikasi sport and fitness tracker. Selain itu, variabel compatibility juga berpengaruh terhadap perceived usefulness dan variabel trialability dan visibility berpengaruh terhadap perceived ease of use
The increasing level of healthy lifestyle along with the high penetration of smartphone creates a big opportunity for application providers to establish sport and fitness tracker app. This application has the ability to monitor the user physical activities along with the other data. Providers need to understand the factors which are considered to affect the decision to adopt this technology. The proposed model is extended technology acceptance model and inovation diffusion theory. This study consist 216 respondents and was analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM. The results suggest that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use positively affect the intention to use sport and fitness tracker app. This study found compatibility positively affect perceived usefulness also trialability and visibility affect perceived ease of use as well."

"This study analyzed online purchasing behavior in the hotel industry through an integrative framework, utilizing sets of variables rarely used in previous studies. The analysis was focused on the influence of online purchase intention, perceived risk, and trust upon actual purchase, with the idea of further determining which construct has the strongest impact. It also analyzed two new measurement items for website quality. The sample consisted of travelers who have recently made hotel reservations online. The model was tested with Structural Equation Modeling. Perceived risk was found to have the strongest impact on actual purchase followed by trust and online purchase intention. The weak influence of online purchase intention is quite interesting since it stands in contrast to previous research findings. Perceived risk also perfectly mediates the relationship between website quality and eWOM towards online purchase intention. Being descriptive in nature, this study did not manipulate the antecedents in the manner of an experimental study."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menjembatani keberhasilan akuisisi dari sisi sumber daya manusia khususnya terkait gaya kepemimpinan dari pengakuisisi terhadap keamanan psikologis karyawan EPS target akuisisi. Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang leadership trust dan visibilitas kepemimpinan, proses integrasi, dan deal status terhadap keamanan psikologis karyawan target pasca-akuisisi sebagai variabel dependen. Deal status diketahui memiliki efek moderasi pada pengaruh dari visibilitas kepemimpinan terhadap EPS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa visibilitas kepemimpinan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap EPS sementara leadership trust memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap EPS. Penelitian juga menganalisis fase akuisisi yang diwakili oleh proses integrasi dan status kesepakatan dan hasilnya hanya proses integrasi yang berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap EPS. Kualitas komunikasi memiliki efek positif tertinggi dalam proses integrasi pasca-akuisisi, disisi lain power differential secara statistik terbukti memiliki efek positif tertinggi pada EPS dalam deal status pasca-akuisisi. Selain itu, terdapat efek moderasi murni yang dihasilkan dari deal status pada pengaruh dari visibilitas kepemimpinan terhadap EPS. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi untuk menjelaskan tentang keahlian dan perilaku yang perlu diperhatikan bagi para pimpinan pengakuisisi untuk menjamin keamanan psikologis karyawan target.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to explore and bridge the gap of the acquisition success from human resources side particularly in acquiring rsquo s leadership style to acquired rsquo s employee psychological safety EPS . This study captures employees rsquo perceive about leadership trust and leadership visibility of acquiring leaders, integration process, and deal status toward their psychological safety post acquisition as dependent variable. Deal status was known has moderating effect on leadership visibility to EPS. The results show that leadership visibility has no significant effect on EPS while leadership trust positively affects the EPS. When we examine acquisition phase which is represented by integration process and deal status only the integration process has positively significant effect on EPS. Communication quality has the highest positive effect in post acquisition integration process, otherwise power differential statistically proved has the highest positive effect on EPS in post acquisition deal status. Furthermore, there is pure moderating effect resulting from deal status on leadership visibility. Overall, this study contributes to further explanation about what are important skill and behavior that need to be considered for leaders to gain target employees rsquo psychological safety."

"ABSTRAK
Pesatnya pertumbuhan transportasi massal berbasis rel di kota metropolitan diikuti juga dengan fasilitas pendukungnya seperti terowongan bawah tanah. Minimnya paparan terhadap udara bebas di terowongan bawah tanah mendorong diadakannya penelitian lebih jauh mengenai perilaku asap hasil kebakaran yang mempengaruhi perubahan visibilitas. Pada kondisi yang ada, sistem pembuangan asap didukung oleh ventilasi paksa yang secara kualitatif  telah diketahui mampu membuang asap ketika proses evakuasi berlangsung. Penelitian mengenai pengaruh ventilasi natural terhadap visibilitas pada simulasi terowongan bawah tanah berskala laboraturium menjadi menarik untuk dilakukan mengingat adanya kemungkinan kegagalan pada sistem pembuangan asap ketika proses evakuasi berlangsung. Simulasi kebakaran berskala laboraturium dilakukan pada terowongan model berskala 1:16,25 dan simulasi numerik dengan skala 1:16,25 menggunakan software Fire Dynamics Simulation versi 6. Froude Number dijaga konstan pada kedua metode untuk memastikan rasio antara gaya inersia fluida dan gaya beratnya sama dengan keadaan yang sebenarnya sihingga perilaku asap pada skala penuh secara umum dapat diprediksi melalui hasil simulasi berskala laboraturium. Perbedaan kecenderungan penurunan visibilitas antara kedua metode sebagai hasil dari simulasi mengindikasikan adanya kekurangan akurasi dari metode simulasi numerik dalam memprediksi karakteristik penurunan visibilitas terhadap waktu. Metode simulasi numerik secara umum hanya mampu memprediksi nilai akhir dari visibilitas dan apakah visibilitas menurun atau konstan terhadap waktu. Kesimpulan kondisional akhir yang dapat disoroti dari penelitian ini adalah ventilasi natural terbukti mampu mengurangi penurunan visibilitas ketika kebarakan terjadi.

ABSTRACT
The rapid growth of railway based public transportation in metropolitan city is followed by its supporting facilities such as underground tunnel. The minimum exposure towards ambient air in underground tunnel encourages the further studies about the conflagration smoke behavior which effects visibility change. In the existing situation, the smoke extraction system is supported by forced ventilation which has been qualitatively known to be able in extracting smoke during the evacuation time. The studies about the effect of natural ventilation on visibility in a laboratory scale underground tunnel simulation become interesting to be done due to the possibility of smoke extraction system failure while evacuation is being held. The laboratory scaled conflagration simulation is held at a 1:16,25 scaled tunnel model and numerical simulation using Fire Dynamics Simulation version 6 with 1:16,25 scale. The Froude Number is kept to be constant for both of the methods to ensure the ratio between fluid inertia force and its gravitational weight are similar so the full scaled smoke behavior can be generally predicted by the laboratory scaled result. The different trend in visibility declination among the methods as the result indicates an inaccuracy of the simulation method to predict the visibility declination characteristic by the time. It is only generally able to predict the final value of visibility and whether it is decline or is constant by the time. The final conditional conclusion can be highlighted from this research is natural ventilation is proven to be able to reduce the visibility declination when the conflagration occurs.
