"Industri jasa telekomunikasi bergerak seluler di Indonesia pada kurun waktu enam tahun terakhir mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat dengan pertumbuhan pelanggan (CAGR) hampir 52%, yaitu dari 18 juta pelanggan pada tahun 2003 menjadi 150 juta pelanggan pada akhir tahun 2008. Penetrasi pasar meningkat berlipat dari 9% menjadi kurang lebih 65%, dan market size meningkat dari Rp 22 Triliyun menjadi hampir Rp 75 Triliyun. Kondisi ini memperlihatkan bahwa industri masih sangat atraktif. Disamping perkembangan teknologi yang kian pesat, deregulasi pemerintah secara agresif di bidang telekomunikasi mendorong bermunculannya para operator baru sehingga membuat kompetisi di industri menjadi semakin ketat.
Sejalan dengan perkembangan industri itu, Indosat dipandang perlu merumuskan strategi yang tepat yang dapat menjawab tantangan ke depan, baik dalam jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Formulasi strategi yang dilakukan dalam studi ini memberikan acuan bahwa Indosat perlu melakukan strategi pertumbuhan secara intensif. Strategi pertumbuhan ini didasarkan pada kekuatan dan kelemahan internal untuk memanfaatkan sebesar-besarnya berbagai peluang dan sekaligus mengantisipasi beragam ancaman yang muncul dari eksternal perusahaan.
Studi ini memberikan acuan bahwa strategi pertumbuhan Indosat dilakukan melalui dua langkah dengan dua kategori jasa/bisnis. Langkah pertama, dalam rangka membangun basis pelanggan (customer base), Indosat perlu melakukan penetrasi pasar dengan menawarkan kelompok jasa existing, yaitu jasa dasar (suara dan sms) melalui produk prabayar dan pasca bayar. Untuk kelompok jasa ini, Indosat perlu menerapkan strategi low-cost, mengingat karakteristik pasar dan pelanggan masai yang sensitif terhadap harga. Langkah kedua, dalam rangka mendapatkan pertumbuhan pendapatan yang signifikan, Indosat perlu melakukan pengembangan pasar, khususnya dengan segmentasi yang lebih rinci, dengan menawarkan kelompok jasa new-revenue-generation. Kelompok jasa ini mencakup jasa yang dapat memberikan nilai tambah dan yang bersifat solutif bagi setiap segmen yang terbentuk. Indosat perlu mendorong basis pelanggan yang telah dimiliki agar menjadi sumber-sumber peningkatan pendapatan. Untuk kerangka strategi ini, Indosat perlu menerapkan strategi focus-differentiation, mengingat solusi yang diberikan sangat penting bagi pelanggan. Masing-masing langkah ini membutuhkan perhatian penuh pada elemen-elemen rantai nilai di internal perusahaan yang meliputi engineering & design, card-production, mass- marketing, focus-marketing, focus-sales, channel distribution, Information technology dan billing.

Within last six years, mobile telecommunication Services industry in Indonesia has been developing rapidly. In this period, industry has increased by 52% CAGR of subscribers, from 18 million subscribers in 2003 to almost 150 million subscribers in 2008 year end A t the same time, rnarket penetration has increased multiply from 9% to around 65%, while. market size has also increased from Rp 22 Trillions to almost Rp 75 Trillions. This condition indicates that the industry is still highly attractive. Besides rapidly technology development, aggressive government deregulation in telecommunication has driven the emerging of new players that make the industry competitiveness tighter.
As the industry developed, Indosat is urged to formulate appropriate strategy. The strategy formulation shall anticipate both short-term and long-term challenges. This study has formulated certain Indosat strategy for guidance. The study recommends Indosat to implement intensive growth strategy. In growth strategy Indosat should exploit internal strengths by exploring external opportunities while at the same time overcome internal weaknesses by coping with extemal threats.
For achieving strategic goals, the study recommends Indosat to conduct two-steps strategy with two-categorized-businesses. First, in order to establish customer base, Indosat should conduct penetration strategy by offering eiisting Services. These Services include basic Services (voice and sms) through prepaid and postpaid brands. Since rnarket and customers are characterized price sensitive, Indosat is better to execute low-cost strategy in this framework. Secondly, in order to obtain significant revenue growth, Indosat should conduct rnarket development, particularly by more detailed rnarket segmentation. Having customer base, Indosat is to shift customers from the bottom to the upper of pyramid by offering new-revenue-generation Services for those segments. These Services include value-based-services and solution-based Services. Product developments and modifications often play important roles. Indosat then should take focus differentiation strategy in this second framework. The two-steps strategy has Indosat consider and pay high attention to some important elements in internal value chains such as engineering and design, card-produetion, mass-marketing focus-marketing, focus-sales, channel distribution, Information technology and billing processes.

Industri telekomunikasi merupakan salah satu sektor industri yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh perubahan ini. Menanggapi semakin tingginya tingkat deregulasi industri telekomunikasi Indonesia dan perkembangan yang berlaku pada sektor industrl Iainnya membuat pelaku bisnis dalam industri telekomunikasi harus mampu menerapkan strategi bersaing untuk mengantisipasi perubahan lingkungan bisnis.
PT lndosat Tbk merupakan salah satu industri telekomunikasi di Indonesia. Perubahan lingkungan industri telekomunikasi menuntut lndosat menjadi lebih dinamis dan dapat menetapkan strategi bersaing yang mampu mengantisipasi perubahan Iingkungan dengan memperhatikan keunggulan kompetitif yang dimiliki dalam hal kapabilitas dan sumber daya yang dimiliki perusahaan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor lingkungan internal dan eksternal dalam bisnis telekomunikasl yang mempengaruhi kemampuan PT lndosat Tbk dalam menghadapi persaingan yang semakln kompetitif dan memetakan posisi persaingan PT Indosat Tbk untuk kemudian merumuskan strategi bersaing yang dapat dipilih oleh perusahaan.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian analisis deskriptif. Responden penelitian adalah para pejabat di PT Indosat Tbk yang dinilai memiliki keahlian dan kompetensi sebagai expert. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan case studi kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan melalui pengisian kuesioner.
Analisis strategi mengenai lingkungan internal dan eksternal perusahaan menggunakan aliran posisi dengan memetakan Matriks General Electric dan untuk merumuskan pilihan strategi menggunakan teknik AHP (Analytical Hierarchi Process).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya tarik industri berada dalam posisi yang kuat (menarik) dan kemampuan perusahaan berada pada taraf sedang, maka berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan agar PT Indosat Tbk merurnuskan strategi bersaing dengan menggunakan strategi diferensiasi melalui pengembangan produk dan layanan jasa kepada pelanggan.

Companies are always demanded to anticipate and win competition. Companies' operation scope is getting global and national borders are no longer restrictions to make innovation of products, services and resources. Competition is liberally increasing and future business activities will continue and it is colored with Competitiveness.
Telecommunication industry is one of industrial sectors that is highly influenced by these changes. Responding highly increasing deregulation in telecommunication industry in Indonesia, and the development of the other industrial sectors, businessman in telecommunication industry must be able to apply competition strategy to anticipate changes in business world.
PT lndosat Tbk is one of the telecommunication industries in Indonesia. Changers in telecommunication industrial sector demand PT lndosat Tbk to be more dynamic and able to apply competition strategy that is able to anticipate environmental changes by utilizing competitive advantage of the company's capability and resources.
The purpose of this research is to find internal environmental factors in the telecommunication business which is influencing the ability of PT lndosat Tbk in facing increasingly competitive competition, to map PT lndosat Tbk position in the competition and then to formulate the appropriate competition strategy for the company.
Research method that is used is descriptive analysis research method. Research respondents are PT lndosat Tbk executives, which are assumed to have capability and competence as experts. Data collection techniques are library research and field research using questioner polling.
Strategy analysis about company internal and external environment uses position flow by mapping PT lndosat Tbk position on telecommunication business competition using Matrix General Electric and to formulate strategy option Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied.
The result of the research shows that telecommunication industry attractiveness is in the strong position (attractive) and company's ability is in the medium position, therefore based on the result of research it is suggested that PT lndosat Tbk fomulate differentiation strategy by product and service development to customers.

Wholesale Business, spesifically network services as one of TELKOM?s business stream were expected to giving high revenue contribution to the company, and also to maintain TELKOM's market share as a network and service provider in Indonesia. Telecommunication in Indonesia have entered a competititon era, which can be seen by TELKOM as opportunity or threat. TELKOM as a network and service provider need an appropriate business strategy to win the competition among competitors. This research was doing based on strategic management concept, which will use Porter's 5 Forces and SWOT method to illustrate the opportunity of Wholesale Network service business strategy and to get positioning of company which can be used to formulating the company business strategy in winning the competition."

DC Power Supply yang mencakup Rectifier dan Battery dibutuhkan untuk memberikan catuan DC bagi perangkat Telekomunikasi. PT. Tricipta adalah pemasok DC Power Supply bagi operator dan vendor telekomunikasi.
Penjualan PT. Tricipta pada tahun 2009, yang menurun 17% dibanding tahun 2008 merupakan tantangan bagi PT. Tricipta untuk mencari strategi bersaing dalam bisnis DC Power Supply agar mampu bertahan dan meningkatkan pendapatan perusahaan. Dari hasil analisa kompetitif DC Power Supply Tricipta dengan menggunakan model Porter 5 Forces didapatkan bahwa DC Power Supply Tricipta memiliki potensi kompetitif yang MEDIUM.
Dari hasil analisa SWOT didapatkan DC Power Supply Tricipta berada di kuadran 1 sehingga strategi yang sesuai adalah bertumbuh dan agresif. Sedangkan berdasarkan analisa Internal Eksternal DC Power Supply Tricipta berada di sel 5 yaitu strategi pertumbuhan yang horizontal.
Berdasarkan metode QSPM strategi bersaing yang paling menarik bagi DC Power Supply Tricipta adalah Pengembangan Produk dengan menambah fitur perangkat berupa nilai tambah, mencari mitra baru untuk battery dari China, menjual Renewable Energy dan masuk dalam bisnis Sewa Daya, membangun Research and Development Center, merekrut karyawan baru untuk Renewable Energy serta memberikan pelatihan pada karyawan internal untuk produk-produk baru.

Tricipta is Distributor of DC Power Supply for Telecommunication provider and vendor.
Sales of PT. Tricipta during year 2009, decrease 17% compare to year 2008 and this is became challenge for PT. Tricipta to find out competitive strategic in DC Power Supply business to keep survive and gain company revenue.
From the Competitive Analysis result for DC Power Supply Tricipta using Porter 5 Forces method, obtained that DC Power Supply Tricipta has MEDIUM competitive competency. From SWOT analysis, it is obtained that DC Power Supply Tricipta is placed at quadrant 1, then it should be supported with growth oriented and agressive strategy. Meanwhile base on Internal Eksternal analysis DC Power Supply Tricipta locate at cell 5 that should be supported with horizontal growth strategy.
Base on QSPM method the most attractive competitive strategy is Product Development with adding feature as value added, find new partner for China battery, provide Renewable Energy product, enter Rental Power business, built Research and Development Center, recruiting new employee for Reneweable Energy and train current employee for new Product."

"The competitiveness level among the companies tend to be higher, particularly since the adoption of several regional free trade areas such as Asean Free Trade Area (AFTA). Almost all the companies will face various impacts, both of negative and positive impacts.
Kitchenware industry is one of the fastest growing industries in Indonesia. This occurred since Indonesia was the fourth densely populated country. Kitchenware industry is a potential business, referring to market, because of the number of house holds. Data released by the Statistic Agency shows that there are 2.248.388 house holds around Jakarta in 2000 with annual growth rate 2,68% approximately.
PT Batin Eka Perkasa (PT BEP) is a company in the kitchenware industry. Since was set up 14 years ago, now it has 24 branches around Indonesia.PT BEP offering two kind of payments, cash and credit.
In a competitive industry, a company should prepare itself to face the potential attacks by competitors. PT BEP undertakes preparation by enhancing strategic formulation in order to match precisely to its vision, mission, goals, and objectives.
The data used in this research include both primary and secondary data. The primary data was collected by in-depth interview with 24 purposive respondents, while secondary data was collected by literary study such as journals, articles, news papers and other publication.
The data collected is discussed in a forum group discussion (FGD) by selected members from the respondents which have the same interests. This group will determine the priority of each factor of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, value the factors and give priority score of the urgency of these factors.
The model analysis used in this paper were Porter's environmental industry analysis such as Porter's five forces, key success factors and SWOT analysis.
By observing threats, opportunities, weaknesses, and strengths, the results of this research are:
1. The external opportunities of PT BEP are Indonesian economy 2003-2006 are prospective to support kitchenware industries; the large numbers of households; the adoption of AFTA will cut costs, the increase of materials suppliers, and the developing of information technology.
2. The external threats faced by PT BEP are the adoption of AFTA will let the new entrants come into the industry, the government policy to increase fuel prices, unstable political environment, the fast growing of new technology in kitchenware industry.
3. The internal strengths of PT BEP are various item of products, many branches, the widely line of distribution, the ability to set up new branches, the large number of sales forces, well sale forces management, relatively lower prices and after sales services.
4. The internal weaknesses of PT BEP are the ordinary qualities, high product return, manual information system, inefficient logistics system, high employee turnover and high bad debt collection.
5. Based on SWOT interaction results, the best strategy of PT BEP in the tight of competition is Strengths-Threats (S7) strategy which comprise both strengths side and threats side.
This research recommended management of PT BEP to adopt ST strategy and make more research in implementing the strategy into company's policy.

"Persaingan pasar televisi berlangganan semakin ketat ditandai dengan jumlah operator televisi berlangganan sebanyak 13 lembaga penyiaran. Jumlah itu akan bertambah seiring dengan makin banyaknya pemohon yang mengajukan izin penyiaran.
PT. Mediatama Anugrah Citra sebagai penyedia layanan baru televisi berlangganan yang menyelenggarakan layanannya dengan menggunakan teknologi Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial (DVB-T) dengan merek produknya Nexmedia yang selama ini masih beroperasi diwilayah Jabodetabek haruslah merumuskan strategi perusahaan yang tepat untuk dapat bersaing didalam industri televisi berlangganan.
Berdasarkan metode QSPM, strategi bersaing yang paling menarik bagi Nexmedia adalah pengembangan produk yaitu melakukan kerjasama dengan Screenplay Productions yang merupakan sebuah rumah produksi sinetron di Indonesia, menjalin kerjasama dengan SCTV sebagai pemegang hak siar liga champion musim 2013-2015 dan melakukan peningkatan performansi teknologi yaitu dengan menggunakan teknologi DVB-T2.

The competition in pay TV market is getting tight, marked by number of pay TV operator with total 13 operators. That number will be increased with so many applicants submit broadcast license.
PT. Mediatama Anugrah Citra is a new pay TV operator using Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial (DVB-T) technology (product name is Nexmedia). The coverage area is in Jabodetabek which should have a company strategy for facing competition in pay TV industry.
Based QSPM method, the most attractive competitive strategy for Nexmedia is Product Development. It includes conducting cooperation with Screenplay Production, cooperation with SCTV as the winner license broadcast of Liga Champion for 2013-2015, and improving the performance technology with using DVB-T2 technology

"Karya akhir ini bertujuan untuk menentukan strategi bersaing terbaik bagi Nusantara Motor pada industri reparasi sepeda motor di Kelurahan Cijantung. Opsi strategi yang dapat dipilih adalah cost-leadership dan diferensiasi. Metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah observasi dan eksplorasi. Berdasarkan analisis, Nusantara Motor lebih cocok untuk menerapkan strategi diferensiasi. Sumber daya dan kemampuan yang dimiliki, karakter produk, dan kondisi persaingan yang terjadi, menyebabkan peluang strategi diferensiasi lebih cocok untuk diterapkan dibanding strategi cost-leadership. Kemudian untuk mendapatkan keuntungan dari keunggulan yang dimiliki, Nusantara Motor dapat menerapkan strategi volume.

This thesis aims to determine the best competitive strategy for Nusantara Motor on a motorcycle repair industry in Sub Cijantung. Options that can be selected strategy is cost leadership and differentiation. The method applied in this study is the observation and exploration. Based on the analysis, Nusantara Motor better suited to implement the strategies of differentiation. Resources and capabilities, character products, and competitive conditions that occur, causing differentiation strategy is more suitable opportunity to apply than a cost leadership strategy. Then, in order to acquire profit from benefit advantages, Nusantara Motor can apply volume strategy.

"ABSTRAK
Tesis ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis strategi bersaing PT Pusri Palembang terkait adanya rencana reformasi kebijakan subsidi pupuk nasional. Dalam rangka memperbaiki skema subsidi pupuk yang berlaku saat ini, Pemerintah sedang mengkaji beberapa alternatif penyaluran subsidi pupuk. Kajian ini masih terus berkembang.Saat ini Pemerintah sedang menerapkan uji coba penyaluran pupuk bersubsidi menggunakan Kartu Tani di Jawa Tengah. Kartu Tani merupakan sebuah kartu multifungsi yang dapat digunakan untuk membeli pupuk bersubsidi, menabung di bank dan selanjutnya akan diintegrasikan dengan program pertanian strategis lainnya. Dengan menggunakan Kartu Tani, penyaluran kuota pupuk bersubsidi khusus diberikan kepada individu petani tepat subjek . Selanjutnya pada tahun 2020, Pemerintah berencana untuk menerapkan Program Bantuan Langsung Petani sehingga petani mendapatkan cash transfer.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dan dilakukan wawancara dengan petani di Kabupaten Batang dan sejumlah pimpinan di Pusri menggunakan semi structured questionnaire. Analisis terhadap dokumen perusahaan dan kajian tentang subsidi pupuk dilakukan untuk melengkapi hasil wawancara yang telah dilaksanakan.Strategi yang perlu dilakukan perusahaan adalah cost leadership strategy dengan cara efisiensi penggunaan bahan baku, optimalisasi kinerja pabrik dan Cost Reduction Program. Differentiation strategy dapat dilakukan melalui pengembangan produk, hubungan dengan pelanggan dan melalui pembiayaan. Pengembangan inovasi dan knowledge management juga merupakan merupakan langkah-langkah yang dapat dilakukan oleh perusahaan untuk bertahan dan tumbuh di tengah kompetisi industri pupuk yang semakin ketat.

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to analyze competitive strategies of PT Pusri Palembang related to the national fertilizer subsidy policy reform plan. In order to improve the current fertilizer subsidy scheme, the Government is reviewing several alternatives to fertilizer subsidy distribution.The government currently implementing a trial for the distribution of subsidized fertilizer using Kartu Tani in Central Java. Kartu Tani is a multifunctional card that can be used to purchase subsidized fertilizer, a debit card and will be integrated with other strategic agriculture programs. By using Kartu Tani, the distribution of subsidized fertilizer by quota is given to individual farmers. Furthermore, by 2020, the Government plans to implement Bantuan Langsung Petani and farmers will get cash transfer to buy fertilizer.This research was conducted with approach using case study method and interview with farmers in Batang Regency, Central Java and some leaders in Pusri. An analysis of company documents and a review of fertilizer subsidies was conducted.Strategy that need to be done by Pusri is cost leadership strategy with efficiency of raw material usage, plant performance optimization and Cost Reduction Program. Differentiation strategy can be through product development, customer relations and through financing. Development of innovation and knowledge management is also a step that can be done by Pusri for going concern and grow in the midst of the increasingly fierce fertilizer industry competition."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan rekomendasi strategi untuk membantu meningkatkan jumlah pelanggan layanan pascabayar yang ditawarkan PT. Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) yaitu Telkomsel Halo guna meningkatkan pendapatan perusahaan, karena pendapatan per pelanggan (average revenue per user, ARPU) yang diterima oleh perusahaan dari pelanggan layanan pascabayar diketahui lebih tinggi dibandingkan pendapatan per pelanggan yang menggunakan layanan prabayar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengukur dan melihat pengaruh setiap variabel terhadap intensi penggunaan layanan pascabayar Telkomsel Halo yang mengacu pada model Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Diketahui intensi penggunaan layanan pascabayar Telkomsel Halo (Behavioral Intention) dipengaruhi secara langsung oleh variabel laten Effort Expectancy dan Compatibility. Variabel yang terpilih kemudian dijadikan dasar untuk membangun strategi dengan menggunakan matriks Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) sehingga diperoleh action items yang dijadikan prioritas untuk penyusunan rekomendasi strategi peningkatan sebagai hasil dari penelitian ini.

This study aims to produce strategic recommendations to help increase the number of postpaid service subscribers offered by PT. Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) known as Telkomsel Halo in order to increase revenue for the company since the average revenue per user (ARPU) received by the company from postpaid plan subscribers is known to be higher than the average revenue per prepaid plan subscribers. This study was conducted by measuring and observing the effect of each variable on the intention to use postpaid Telkomsel Halo services which refers to the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. It is found that the intention to use Telkomsel Halo postpaid services (Behavioral Intention) is directly influenced by the Effort Expectancy and Compatibility variables. Selected variables are used as the basis for creating strategies using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) matrix which generates action items that would be made priority in creating strategic recommendations for future improvements as a result of this research.

"Inovasi dalam suatu organisasi dapat diperoleh melalui kreasi pengetahuan (knowledge creating) yang merupakan salah satu dimensi proses knowledge management. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu kondisi organisasi yang memenuhi syarat dan kondisi yang mendukung terjadinya proses knowledge management tersebut, khususnya dalam proses kreasi pengetahuan (knowledge creation).
Penelitian mengambil kasus di industri jasa minyak dan gas, yang berkontribusi pada kriteria kondisi organisasi yang harus ada dan kondisi organisasi yang mendukung dalam penerapan knowledge management dan bertujuan mendapatkan strategi knowledge management.
Penelitian menggunakan metode kuesioner, AHP dan metode ELECTRE. Metode kuesioner digunakan untuk menentukan kesiapan kondisi organisasi dalam penerapan knowledge management. Selanjutnya, metode AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) digunakan untuk mendapatkan kriteria kondisi organisasi yang penting, untuk menentukan strategi knowledge management. Terakhir, metode ELECTRE (Elimination and Choice Expressing Reality) untuk menentukan prioritas strategi knowledge management.
Penelitian ini menghasilkan tiga strategi utama dalam penerapan knowledge management di industri jasa minyak dan gas, yaitu, strategi development forums, networking workshops, dan intranet/internet.

Innovation within an organization can be obtained through the creation of knowledge (knowledge creating) which is one of dimension process of knowledge management. Therefore, it needs a qualified organization conditions (enabling conditions) that support the knowledge management process, especially in the process of creation of knowledge (knowledge creation).
The research takes the case in the oil and gas service industry, which contribute to the criteria which must be existing in organizational conditions and organizational conditions that support in the implementation of knowledge management and aims to gain knowledge management strategy.
The study used questionnaire method, AHP and ELECTRE methods. Questionnaire method used to determine the readiness of the organizational conditions in the application of knowledge management. Furthermore, AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) is used to get the important criteria of organizational conditions, to determine the knowledge management strategy. Finally, the method ELECTRE (Elimination and Expressing Choice Reality) to determine the priority of knowledge management strategy.
This study resulted in three major strategies in the implementation of knowledge management in the oil and gas service industry, namely, strategy development forums, networking workshops, and intranet / internet.
