"Skripsi ini membahas tentang citra diri perempuan dalam novel “Love In The Kingdom of Oil” karya Nawal el Sadaawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan citra diri perempuan dalam novel dari aspek fisik, psikis, dan sosial masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan struktural untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik dalam novel. Unsur intrinsik ini menjadi dasar dalam analisis citra diri perempuan. Kesimpulan dari analisis tersebut adalah terdapat korelasi antara unsur intrinsik tema, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, dan amanat dengan penggambaran citra perempuan dalam novel tersebut.

This thesis discusses about women self image in the novel “Love In The Kingdom of Oil” by Nawal el Sadaawi. The purpose of this study to describe about women self image in the novel from the physical aspect, psychological aspect, and social aspect. This research use a structural approach to analyze the intrinsic unsure of the novel. The intrinsic elements of the basis for the analyze of the woman self image. The conclusion of this analysis is that there is a correlation between theme, character and characterization, setting, and moral with describtion of women self image in that novel."

"ABSTRACTThe "everydayness" of the modern life, "unthinking, mundane reality" as described by Lukács in History and Class Consciousness, is often associated with the reified state of consciousness in bourgeois society. Also, linked with repetitive, uncreative, and contingent qualities of housework, the everyday tends to be gendered feminine, as Henri Lefebvre declares that "women symbolizes everyday life in its entirety" and that women are its "active critique". However, if women immerse themselves in everyday life so as to be the symbol of it, the question is: how can women acquire the revolutionary consciousness that enables them to perceive, theorize, and alter the everyday? How can women's creative work such as poetry be both the symbol and at the same time an active critique of their everyday life?This paper will examine how postwar and contemporary women poets writing in Japanese and in the proletariat literary tradition - such as Ishigaki Rin, Chong Chuwol, Park Kyongmi - have been seeking for an alternative poetic language in which they could represent and critique women's everyday life. Particular focus will be given to the interconnections between women, their domestic work, and objects used for their work, as typically seen in Ishigaki's famous poem, "In Front of me the Pot and Rice-Pot and Burning Flames" (1959). Where as Ishigaki follows realistic methods to portray women's life, Chong and Park, being second- generation Korean poets and ever uncomfortably affiliated with the Japanese language, are visibly more experimental. As a contemporary "postmodern" poet, Park argues that in poetic language, words should carefully be arranged and combined so that they cannot invoke sentiments that are attached to so-called "mother tongue". This alienated state of language, or language as butsu (thing/ object), becomes analogous to women's body, labour, and their everyday life."

"Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-image congruency terhadap preferensi merek dan kepuasan konsumen pada kategori produk telepon selular (ponsel). Merek ponsel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Siemens, dan Sony Ericsson. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Borobudur di Jakarta dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 173 responden. Desain studi yang digunakan yaitu metode survei dengan pendekatan potong lintang (cross sectional) dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode convenience sampling.Tujuan penelitian meliputi1. Memahami konsep self-image congruency, dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mernbentuk self-image congruency.2. Memahami konsep preferensi merek, dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang membentuk preferensi merek.3. Memahami konsep kepuasan konsumen, dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang membentuk kepuasan konsumen.4. Mengukur dan menganalisis pengaruh self-image congruency terhadap preferensi merek dan kepuasan konsumen.Indikator-indikator untuk setiap variabel yang diteliti diadopsi dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya oleh Jamal dan Goode (2001). Pada penelitian ini analisis data dengan menggunakan factor analysis, regresi liner dan independent student t test dengan bantuan software SPSS 10.0.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa self-image congruency mempunyai p engaruh yang positif terhadap preferensi merek dan kepuasan konsumen. Kelompok konsumen yang memiliki self-image congruency yang tinggi terhadap suatu merek bersikap lebih menyukai merek tersebut dan memperoieh kepuasan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok konsumen yang memiliki self-image congruency yang rendah."

"Fotografi merupakan ilmu di bidang seni visual yang menggunakan kamera untuk menghasilkan foto. Foto bukan hanya dipotret semata, akan tetapi untuk menghasilkan sebuah foto dengan nilai artistik sebagai karya seni yang sah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari makna dalam potret diri Ninagawa Mika menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes sebagai teori utama. Teori semiotika Roland Barthes terdapat dua tahapan yaitu denotasi dan konotasi. Dalam tahap denotasi, foto dianalisis berdasarkan elemen yang ada di dalamnya. Kemudian tahap konotasi merupakan sebuah upaya untuk mencari makna-makna yang terdapat dalam elemen-elemen foto yang dilihat dari warna, pose, gestur dan teknik pemotretan foto. Kemudian didampingi dengan teori estetika wabi sabi yang kaitannya erat dengan Ninagawa Mika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, karya Ninagawa Mika memiliki unsur estetika wabi sabi yang membuktikan relevansi teori tersebut di karya seni di era kontemporer.

Photography is a science in the field of visual arts that uses cameras to produce photos. Photos are not only taken, but to produce a photo with artistic value as a valid work of art. This study aims to find meaning in Ninagawa Mika's self-portrait using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory as the main theory. Roland Barthes' semiotic theory has two stages, namely denotation and connotation. In the denotation stage, photos are analyzed based on the elements in them. Then the connotation stage is an attempt to find the meanings contained in the photo elements seen from the colors, poses, gestures and photo shooting techniques. Then accompanied by the aesthetic theory of wabi sabi which is closely related to Ninagawa Mika. Based on the research results, Ninagawa Mika's work has an aesthetic element of wabi sabi which proves the relevance of this theory in works of art in the contemporary era."

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang fenomena biduan dangdut. Image biduan dangdut menjadi sebuah hal yang negatif karena dibarengi dengan penampilan panggung biduan yang mempertontonkan goyangan. Biduan dangdut laris di kalangan pesta pernikahan hingga kampanye partai politik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan self image yang dibangun oleh biduan dangdut sebagai suatu upaya menampilkan dirinya sebagai biduan dangdut. Sudut pandang kognitif membantu memaparkan self image yang dibangun biduan dangdut berdasarkan skema kognitif pada tataran pikiran mereka. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan biduan memiliki self image yang berbeda sesuai skema kognitif berdasarkan hasil dari interpretasi pengalaman dirinya selama menjadi biduan dangdut. This research examines the phenomenon of dangdut singer which has a negative image because of their sway at the stage. On the other hand, this phenomenon becomes a popular entertainment at the wedding party and political campaign. The aim of this research is to describe dangdut singer's ways of developing their self-image as a dangdut singer. Through a cognitive approach, self-image develops by dangdut singer's cognitive schema of themselves due to their interpretation of experience being dangdut singer. The method in this research uses a qualitative approach. The result of this research is dangdut singers have different self-image based on their cognitive schema and interpretation from their experience during becoming a dangdut"
