"[ ABSTRAK
Wacana persuasi dilakukan tidak hanya dalam bentuk komunikasi tertulis tetapi juga dalam bentuk lisan.
Wacana tersebut ditemukan dalam beberapa karya fiksi seperti film, yang narasinya berfokus pada tema
persuasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa wacana persuasi yang terdapat pada Ocean Eleven,
sebuah film komedi Amerika yang disutradarai oleh Steven Soderbergh. Film tersebut berkisah tentang Danny
Ocean dan sebelas rekannya, termasuk rekan kriminalnya, yang merampok tiga kasino Las Vegas, the Bellagio,
the Mirage, dan MGM Grand secara bersamaan. Penelitian ini khususnya bertujuan untuk meneliti dua hal :
strategi persuasi yang dipraktikan oleh pihak yang mempersuasi dalam naratif dan relasi kuasa antar karakter.
Penelitian ini menggunakan teori strategi persuasi dari Crusius dan Channel. Hasil dari studi yang dilakukan
menunjukkan bahwa beberapa strategi persuasi dapat digunakan sesuai dengan tujuannya untuk menyukseskan
persuasi. Lebih lanjut lagi, pada akhir persuasi, relasi kuasa diantara pihak yang melakukan tindakan persuasi
dan pihak yang dipersuasi tidak berubah, yaitu pihak yang melakukan persuasi memiliki posisi yang lebih tinggi
dan dominan.

ABSTRACT
Discourses of persuasion are issued not only in written means of communication but also in spoken forms. Such
discourses are discovered in a number of fictional works like films, whose narration focuses on persuasion
theme. The aim of this research is to analyze discourse of persuasion issued in Oceans’s Eleven, an American
comedy movie directed by Steven Soderbergh. The movie tells about Danny Ocean and his eleven accomplices,
including his partner-in-crime, who rob three Las Vegas casinos, the Bellagio, the Mirage, and the MGM Grand
simultaneously. This research is specifically purposed to examine two points: strategies of persuasion practiced
by persuaders in the narrative and power relation among characters. The research uses the persuasive strategy
theory from Crusius & Channel. The result of this study shows that several persuasive strategies can be used in
accordance in order to succeed the persuasion. Moreover, by the end of the persuasion, the power relation
between the persuader and the person being persuaded does not change, as the persuader holds a higher and more

Makalah ini akan membahas mengenai sebuah film yang telah lulus sensor namun sebenarnya
masih mengandung muatan-muatan seks. Film ini masuk dalam kategori Bimbingan Orangtua
(BO) tanpa adanya batasan usia penonton minimal 18 tahun, sehingga dikhawatirkan muatan
seks di dalamnya dapat mempengaruhi pandangan penonton akan perilaku seksual. Film
popular remaja Twilight yang telah lulus sensor mengandung banyak gambaran seks tersirat di
dalamnya. Sebenarnya, bukan hanya satu film ini saja tetapi terdapat lebih banyak lagi film
yang serupa. Menggunakan metode analisis shot-by-shot, terlihat bahwa teknik sinematografi
yang digunakan dikhawatirkan turut mempengaruhi pemaknaan perilaku seksual yang ada di
dalam film. Hasil studi mengungkapkan bahwa adegan yang memuat perilaku seksual yang
berat justru dipertegas dengan teknik kamera jarak dekat (close up) dan kemudian dimaknai

Jurnal ini membahas mengenai bagaimana penonton menilai karakter dalam suatu film yang belakangan ini sangat populer sebagai media hiburan. Kepopuleran film menjadi suatu keuntungan bagi masyarakat modern sebagai media yang efektif untuk memberikan pesan kepada publik. Nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan melalui film membuat adaptasi publik terhadap suatu pendekatan menjadi lebih mudah. Media ini kemudian digunakan sebagai alat untuk menanamkan kesadaran bagi publik yang berguna mensosialisasikan nilai-nilai baru yang berguna bagi masyarakat. Masyarakat dinilai dapat memahami suatu nilai lebih baik apabila nilai tersebut diciptakan dalam suatu bentuk cerita yang lebih menarik sehingga tidak menimbulkan pergesekan sosial.

This journal describe how audience evaluate a character in movie which lately has been very popular as entertainment media. The popularity of movie become an advantage for modern society as an effective media to deliver the message to the public. The values which instilled through the movie will make public adaptation to an approach become easier. This media later used as a tool to bring awareness for public which been useful to socializing new values for the society. Society is considered to understand better if the value applied in interesting form of story so it does not cause social friction., This journal describe how audience evaluate a character in movie which lately has been very popular as entertainment media. Makalah ini membahas stereotip media dari pria homoseksual dan unsur heteroseksisme dalam film the Imitation Game. Sebagai film independen yang paling banyak ditonton pada tahun 2014, the Imitation Game adalah karya bertema homosexual seperti pendahulunya Will and Grace (1998-2006) dan Brokeback Mountain (2005). Penelitian menggunakan teori analisis tekstual oleh Alan McKee untuk membahas unsur mise-en-scene dan narasi. Ditemukan bahwa meskipun Alan Turing sebagai tokoh utama terlihat berlawanan dengan stereotip pria gay, beberapa ciri karakternya masih terikat kepada stereotip homoseksual di media - yaitu feminin, flamboyan, dan menjadi penjahat/ korban. Selain itu, unsur heteroseksisme yang terjadi di the Imitation Game adalah formula berulang yang juga terjadi pada Will dan Grace dan Brokeback Mountain. Walaupun komunitas LGBT telah diterima di masyarakat Amerika, media AS sendiri masih butuh waktu untuk benar-benar merepresentasikan homoseksualitas tanpa unsur hetero-normativitas.Makalah ini membahas stereotip media dari pria homoseksual dan unsur heteroseksisme dalam film the Imitation Game. Furthermore, the heterosexualization which overvalues the relationship between a gay man and a straight woman is very prevalent in the film and diminishing the homosexual nature of the main character. The heterosexualization that happens in the Imitation Game is a repetitive formula that also occurs in Will and Grace and Brokeback Mountain. Thus, despite the society?s growing reception toward LGBT communities, the US media still has a long way to go before it could present homosexuality without overshadowing it with hetero-normativity.;This paper discusses the media?s stereotypes of homosexual men and heterosexualization in the Imitation Game film. "Artikel ini membahas isu patologi sosial dan kekerasan seksual sebagai representasi praktik BDSM di film Fifty Shades of Grey 2015 dan Venus in Fur 2013 . Dengan analisis tekstual, artikel ini fokus menganalisis masalah seksualitas dan hubungan kekuasaan melalui karakter utama perempuan dari kedua film. Konsep yang digunakan adalah understanding via pathologizing oleh Weiss 2006 dan male gaze oleh Mulvey 1975 .
Hasil analisis menunjukan kedua film memperkuat representasi dominan dari film-film BDSM sebelumnya ketika sifat patologis dan kekerasan seksual diromantisasikan, perizinan untuk melakukan praktik BDSM tidak diberikan secara sadar, hubungan kekuasaan bekerja dengan berbeda di dalam dan luar peran seksual, dan karakter wanita digambarkan secara sensual.

Mainstream media representation of BDSM is complex and often problematic, which needs to be continuously scientifically investigated. This article explores the themes of pathology and abuse in two films Fifty Shades of Grey 2015 and Venus in Fur 2013 . By doing a comparative textual analysis, the analysis discusses female sexualities and power relation between leading female characters, Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey 2015 and Vanda von Dunayev in Venus in Fur 2013. Weiss 2006 understanding via pathologizing and Mulvey rsquo s 1975 male gaze are the concepts used to understand how pathology is associated with BDSM practice and why females are depicted as sexual objects in these films.
Research findings reveal that both films strengthen mainstream representation of BDSM where pathology and abuse are romanticized, the understanding of consent is problematic, power relation operates differently inside and outside the characters rsquo sexual role play and female characters are sexualized."

"Dalam kehidupan berkomunikasi tidak hanya dalam bentuk bahasa namun juga visual. Poster adalah gambar yang merupakan bagian dari komunikasi visual. Penelitian ini membahas tentang makna poster dalam kategori film Avant-garde Uni Soviet yang dikaji secara semiotika oleh Charles Sanders Peirce. Semua Poster yang digunakan sebagai data memperlihatkan objek yang terfragmentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna poster film Avant-garde dengan menguraikan tanda-tanda yang terdapat dalam poster film avant-garde. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitis dengan semiotik Peirce yang meliputi ikon, indeks dan simbol. Simpulan menunjukan bahwa kesinambungan antara tanda-tanda ikon, indeks dan simbol yang menunjukan keterkaitan satu sama lain dan terdapat ikon manusia sebagai pusat yang ditampilkan sebagai alat propaganda.

In life communicate not only in the form of language but also visually. Posters are images that are part of visual communication. This study discusses the meaning of posters in the category of Avant-garde films of the Soviet Union which was studied semiotically by Charles Sanders Peirce. All posters used as data show fragmented object. This study aims to determine the meaning of Avant-garde film posters by deciphering the signs contained in avant-garde film posters. The method used in this study is descriptive analytical semiotic Peirce which includes icons, indices and symbols. the conclusion shows that the continuity between the signs of icons, indices and symbols that show the relationship to each other and there is a human icon as the center that is displayed as a propaganda tool."

"ABSTRAK
Degradasi apresiasi terhadap film Western mutakhir melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Para produser film mencoba merevitalisasi elemen film Western agar menghasilkan karya yang lebih menarik dengan atmosfer yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menelaah invensi dan interaksi budaya melalui eksplorasi unsur-unsur eksternal yang menyebabkan perubahan pada formula genre Western dalam film Wild Wild West (1999) dan Django Unchained (2012). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pembalikan tipe struktur estetika dalam kedua film tersebut. Pertama, latar karya menunjukkan ruang yang semakin modern dan cenderung mengurangi ruang kebudayaan liar; kedua, ikon persenjataan dan transportasi yang digunakan oleh para tokoh semakin modern; ketiga, tokoh hero yang ditampilkan semakin marjinal; keempat, ide cerita semakin variatif dan dinamis; kelima, situasi dan pola tindakan yang disuguhkan menunjukkan formula kekerasan yang semakin brutal. Evolusi yang terjadi pada kedua film teranalisis dipengaruhi oleh politisasi produksi, perubahan jaman, dan perubahan selera penonton/masyarakat."

"Revolusi di era digital yang didukung dengan perkembangan teknologi yang terjadi saat ini, membuat manusia dapat dengan mudah saling terhubung dan berinteraksi satu sama lain. Kehadiran internet dan media sosial menjadi salah satu media yang paling cepat dan mudah digunakan dalam berkomunikasi secara luas. Media sosial kini tidak hanya digunakan untuk sekedar berkomunikasi secara interaktif saja, namun juga dapat digunakan sebagai sarana untuk tujuan keagamaan seperti berdakwah. Praktik dakwah berubah dari bentuk konvensional bergeser ke dalam bentuk digital. Aktivitas berdakwah pada dunia maya ini tak luput dari aplikasi media sosial TikTok yang dalam beberapa tahun belakangan melesat menjadi platform yang sangat populer di dunia. TikTok yang didukung oleh berbagai influencer dan non-influencer, menghadirkan sarana alternatif edukasi yang menarik dan menyenangkan bagi seluruh audiens. Partisipasi aktif di dalam komunitas TikTok itu sendiri menimbulkan terbentuknya personal branding dari para kreator konten kepada audiens. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembentukan personal branding dari tiga pendakwah siber di Indonesia, yaitu Husain Basyaiban, Risyad Baya’sud dan Umar Kilwo. Peneliti menggunakan kriteria authentic personal branding oleh Rampersad (2008) untuk menganalisis pembentukan personal branding melalui media sosial TikTok. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma post-positivis, pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dan metode penelitian studi kasus. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga narasumber telah membangun personal branding yang kuat di TikTok, hal ini dikarenakan mereka telah memenuhi 11 karakteristik authentic personal branding, serta konten-konten dan pesan-pesan yang dibagikan sudah sesuai dengan ambisi pribadi masing-masing para pendakwah siber. Personal branding yang otentik, kuat, dan positif akan tertanam di benak audiens sehingga menimbulkan kepercayaan kepada para pelaku personal branding. Hal ini juga membuat lebih banyak audiens yang tertarik dengan diri para pendakwah siber dan semakin banyak pula audiens baru yang akan mengikuti mereka.

The revolution in the digital era, which is supported by current technological developments, allows humans to easily connect and interact with each other. The presence of the internet and social media is one of the fastest and easiest media to use in communicating widely. Social media is now not only used to communicate interactively, but can also be used as a means for religious purposes such as preaching. Da'wah practices change from conventional to digital forms. This preaching activity in cyberspace is not spared from the social media application TikTok, which in recent years has shot to become a very popular platform in the world. TikTok, which is supported by various influencers and non-influencers, presents alternative educational tools that are interesting and fun for all audiences. Active participation in the TikTok community itself results in the formation of personal branding from content creators to the audience. This research focuses on the formation of the personal branding of three cyber preachers in Indonesia: Husain Basyaiban, Risyad Baya'sud and Umar Kilwo. Researcher used the criteria of authentic personal branding by Rampersad (2008) to analyze the formation of personal branding through social media TikTok. This study uses a post-positivist paradigm, a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study research method. Data obtained from the results of in-depth interviews and document studies. The results of the study show that the three informants have built strong personal branding on TikTok, this is because they have fulfilled 11 characteristics of authentic personal branding, and the content and messages shared are in accordance with the personal ambitions of each cyber preacher. Authentic, strong and positive personal branding will be embedded in the minds of the audience so as to generate trust in personal branding actors. This also makes more audiences interested in cyber preachers and more and more new audiences will follow them."

"Skripsi ini merupakan pendekatan filosofis terhadap pilihan identitas atas kecantikan perempuan yang dikonstruksi oleh beberapa ideologi dan dikaitkan dengan derasnya arus informasi yang disodorkan oleh beberapa media elektronik, film khususnya. Kondisi ini membawa kita pada satu bentuk fenomena budaya, yang oleh Jean Baudrillard dikatakan sebagai fenomena budaya hiperrealitas. Berbeda dengan pengkajian budaya, telaah filosofis menaruh perhatian pada kondisi individu yang otonom. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara membedah fenomena hiperrealitas dengan hipersemiotika sebagai pisau bedahnya.

This undergraduated thesis is a philosophical approach of the female beauty identity selection that is constructed by some of the ideology and associated with a rapid flow of information offered by some of the electronic media, especially movies. This condition leads to a cultural phenomena that Jean Baudrillard said as the cultural phenomenon of hyperreality. Unlike the assessment of cultural, philosophical study concerns with the conditions of the autonomous individual. Research has been done by dissecting the phenomenon of hyperreality with hypersemiotic as the scalpel."
