Kelelahan pada operator ground support equipment dalam kegiatan ground handling pesawat di area ramp berisiko tinggi menyebabkan insiden dan kecelakaan yang dapat menimbulkan kerugian besar terutama bagi maskapai penerbangan, pekerja ground handling dan operasi bandara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kelelahan pada operator ground support equipment yang menangani pesawat wide body PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif-analitik dengan metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling yang berjumlah 80 responden. Data dianalisis dengan uji chi square. Fatigue Severity Scale digunakan sebagai instrumen untuk mengukur kelelahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur, waktu commuting dan waktu istirahat secara signifikan berasosiasi terhadap kelelahan pada operator ground support equipment. Faktor individu dalam penelitian ini berperan besar terhadap terjadinya kelelahan sehingga diharapkan pekerja dapat mengelola waktu pribadi dan mengoptimalkan waktu istirahat ketika bekerja untuk mengurangi kelelahan

"Risiko kecelakaan dan masalah kesehatan pada pilot akibat kelelahan mempunyai dampak yang sangat besar jika seorang pilot mengambil suatu keputusan dalam suatu penerbangan. Berbagai penelitian dan laporan kasus membuktikan kelelahan pada pilot masih banyak terjadi. Analisis faktor risiko kelelahan dilakukan untuk mengetahui kelelahan pada pilot pesawat komersial. Untuk mengetahui kelelahan pada pilot menggunakan Samn-Perelli Subjective Scale. Studi kasus dilakukan di PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel independen dan dependen dan diteliti secara bersamaan dalam satu waktu. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dalam mengumpulkan data dan melakukan wawancara berstruktur dengan beberapa pilot. Penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan faktor kelelahan yang tidak terkait dengan pekerjaan dan faktor kelelahan yang terkait dengan pekerjaan dengan kelelahan pada pilot. Perusahaan perlu mempertahankan program yang sudah dijalankan oleh PT. Garuda Indonesia seperti limitasi waktu terbang, waktu tugas serta periode waktu istirahat untuk mengurangi kelelahan pada pilot.
The risk of accidents and health problems in a result of pilot fatigue will bring a big impact on decision making during the flight. Some case studies and reports prove that pilot fatigue is still occured. Risk factor analysis is conducted to review and determine fatigue on pilot. Samn-Perelli subjective scale is being used in this study to determine the fatigue of pilot. Case studies is conducted in PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Jakarta. Cross-sectional method is used as a design study to review the relationship between the dependent variable at one time. Researchers used a questionnaire instruments to collect data and conduct interviews to several pilots. This research analyze the relationship between fatigue work related factors and fatigue work non-related factors with pilot fatigue. Company needs to maintain the company's program such as as flight and duty time limitation, rest period to reduce the fatigue."

The objective of this study is to examine acute fatigue potential based on a Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion Recovery (OFER) scale and types of heavy equipment, analyze the relationship between work-related fatigue (duration, workload and shift work), response to non-work-related fatigue (age, nutritional status, commuting time, the number of hours of sleep) with the occurrence of fatigue on heavy equipment operator. This research was conducted from April until July 2016 at heavy equipment operator in the mine area 1 Bukit Karang Putih. Number of study respondents 50 people. The study is observational quantitative research with cross-sectional method. Measurement of fatigue using a OFER scale and the results show that 48% of respondents experiencing moderate acute fatigue, 44% of dump truck experiencing high acute fatigue, shift has significant correlation with high and moderate acute fatigue potential (p value = 0.027). recomendation to company PT Semen Padang to provide education or training about risk factor fatigue to heavy equipment operator."

"Tingginya kebutuhan manusia yang harus dipenuhi menyebabkan peningkatan produksi di berbagai sektor industri. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan memberlakukan sistem shift kerja. Penerapan sistem shift kerja ini berdampak kepada kelelahan pada pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kelelahan pada operator plastic injection di PT X. Faktor yang diteliti merupakan faktor karakteristik pekerja (umur, masa kerja, kondisi kesehatan, dan kuantitas tidur) dan faktor pekerjaan (shift kerja, waktu istirahat, commuting time, dan pekerjaan tambahan). Pengukuran kelelahan pada operator diukur dengan menggunakan Fatigue Severity Scale. Penelitian ini bersifat subjektif analitik dengan menggunakan desain studi cross sectional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa sebanyak 99 orang atau 46,5% pekerja mengalami kelelahan. Selain itu juga dapat diketahui bahwa masa kerja, kondisi kesehatan, dan kuantitas tidur mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kelelahan pada operator plastic injection. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengendalian terhadap kelelahan, baik dari pihak manajemen maupun operator itu sendiri.

Nowadays, the number of human need's demand is always tending to increase. In order to meet with that high demand of human needs, many industries try to increase their production activity supported by a shift work system. But in the reality, we almost find some complaint about a fatigue worker. This research aim to learn about several factors that causes a fatigue among plastic injection operator at PT X. That factors are divided into personal factors (age, years of services, worker's health condition, and a quantity of sleep) and work condition factors (shift system, break time, commuting time, and worker's second job). This research is using a subjective analytical method which is measured by a Fatigue Severity Scale with cross sectional design. The result of this research shows that 99 persons or 46.5% of plastic injection operator at PT X is experienced fatigue, and years of service, worker's health condition, and quantity of sleep factors are significantly related with the fatigue among plastic injection operator. Due to the result of this research, either the management of PT X or the workers itself have to manage that fatigue."

"ABSTRAK
Operator Heavy Duty Dump Truck (HD) adalah salah satu pekerjaan yang berisiko tinggi untuk mengalami kelelahan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kelelahan pada operator HD di PT X Jobsite Y. Faktor yang diteliti yaitu faktor risiko terkait pekerjaan (shift kerja, suhu kabin, pencahayaan, masa kerja, dan napping) dan faktor tidak terkait pekerjaan (usia, indeks massa tubuh, waktu perjalanan, kuantitas tidur, kualitas tidur, tempat tinggal dan status perkawinan) terhadap kelelahan. Desain studi cross-sectional digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan kuesioner Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) pada 165 responden yang bekerja sebagai operator HD. Hasil penelitian diketahui sebanyak 70,9% operator HD mengalami kelelahan ringan dan 29,1% operator HD mengalami kelelahan sedang. Selain itu, dari keseluruhan variabel yaitu suhu kabin, masa kerja, kuantitas tidur, kualitas tidur dan status perkawinan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik terhadap kelelahan.

ABSTRACT
Heavy Duty Dump Truck (HD) operator is one of the high-risk occupations in experiencing fatigue. This study aims to determine factors associated with fatigue on HD operator at PT X Jobsite Y. Factors studied were work-related factors (shift work, cabin temperature, lighting, work period, and napping) and non-work-related factors (age, body mass index, commuting time, sleep quantity, sleep quality and marital status) to fatigue. A cross-sectional study was conducted using questionnaires Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) on 165 respondents who worked as HD operator. The results of the study known as much as 70,9% HD operator experiencing mild fatigue and 29,1% HD operator experiencing medium fatigue. In additional, all variabel namely cabin temperature, work period, sleep quantity, sleep quality, and marital status had a statistically significant relationship to fatigue."

"Penerapan program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja di bidang industri diharapkan dapat menunjang terciptanya lingkungan kerja yang aman dan sehat bagi pekerja serta terciptanya produktivitas kerja yang optimal. Namun demikian, potensi bahaya dan resiko di tempat kerja dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan pekerja. Salah satu keluhan yang sering muncul adalah kelelahan pada pekerja di sektor industri.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor lingkungan kerja (kebisingan dan pencahayaan) dan proses kerja (beban kerja) yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kelelahan pada operator produksi Powder PT. X. Jenis penelitian ini adalah cross sectional, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 42 orang. Tingkat kelelahan diukur menggunakan kuesioner yang mengacu kepada IFRC (International Fatigue Research Committee) yang dimodifikasi. Beban kerja diukur berdasarkan denyut jantung sedangkan tingkat kebisingan dan tingkat pencahayaan berdasarkan data hasil pengukuran yang telah dilakukan oleh PT. X.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 83,3% mengalami kelelahan (69% kelelahan ringan dan 14,3% kelelahan menengah).dimana gejala kelelahan yang paling banyak dirasakan oleh responden adalah rasa lelah pada sekujur badan dan badan tidak merasa fit. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa hanya pencahayaan yang mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan tingkat kelelahan.

Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety program in industry will expected to create safe and healthy working places for worker and optimal productivities. However, hazards and risk on working places can impact to worker healthiness. One of dominant case is fatigue on worker in industries.
This study aims to determine the relationship of environmental factors (noise and lighting) and working process (working load) to the level of fatigue on Powder production operators, This study use cross sectional study with number of sample is 42 people. The level of fatigue was measured using questionnaire refer to modified IFRC (International Fatigue Research Committee). Working load was measured using heart rate monitoring, while noise and lighting base on data from measurement conducted by PT. X.
The result of this research is 83,3% respondents indicate having fatigue (69% is slight level and 14,3% is medium level), while the most widely perceived symptoms of fatigue were feel of tired on the whole of body and feel of un-fit. The result of statistical test showing that only lighting which have significant relationship with the level of fatigue.

"Tesis ini membahas efek modifikasi status hidrasi dengan memperhitungkan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) pada petugas ground handling di Bandara Soekarno Hatta. Yang sering terpajan panas dalam waktu lama, yang dapat menyebabkan dehidrasi dan kelelahan. Lestari (2016) dalam penelitiannya menyatakan iklim kerja yang panas dan melebihi NAB dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya dehidrasi.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional, 219 responden yang bekerja di dalam Gedung dan apron. Status hidrasi diukur menggunakan berat jenis urin, IMT diukur dengan berat badan dan tinggi badan, dan kelelahan diukur menggunakan kuisioner IFRC. Hasil penelitian 63,5% responden mengalami kelelahan berat dan 36,5% mengalami kelelahan ringan. 70,3% pekerja memiliki status hidrasi yang baik, sementara 29,7% mengalami dehidrasi. 58,9% responden obesitas dan sisanya 41,1% tidak obesitas. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara status hidrasi terhadap kelelahan kerja (p-value 0,340), ada hubungan signifikan antara IMT dengan kelelahan (p-value 0,014). Ada interaksi antara status hidrasi dengan IMT. Analisis multivariat menyatakan ada hubungan signifikan antara efek modifikasi status hidrasi dengan memperhitungakan IMT terhadap kelelahan (p-value 0,022 dan cOR 1,184). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh status hidrasi terhadap tingkat kelelahan kerja bergantung atau bervariasi menurut status IMT, sehingga diketahu nilai OR pada IMT obesitas (kode 1) adalah 1,46. Artinya responden yang obesitas dengan status dehidrasi berisiko 1,46 kali lebih tinggi pada responden yang mengalami kelelahan berat dibandingkan dengan status euhidrasi setelah dikontrol oleh faktor risiko terkait pekerjaan dan faktor risiko tidak terkait pekerjaan.

This thesis discusses the effect of hydration status modification considering Body Mass Index (BMI) on ground handling workers at Soekarno Hatta airport. Those worker are often exposed to prolonged heat, which can cause dehydration and fatigue. Lestari (2016) stated that a hot working climate exceeding TLV can increase the risk of dehydratin. This cross-sectional study involved 219 respondents working inside buildings and the apron. Hydration status was measured using urin specific gravity; BMI was measured with weight and height; and fatigue was measured using the IFRC questionnaire. The result showed that 63,5% of respondents experienced severe fatigue and 36,5% experienced mild fatigue; 70,3% of workers had good hydration status, while 29,7% were dehydrated; 58,9% of respondents were obese and the remaining 41,1% were not obese. Statistical analysis results showed no significant relationship between hydration status and work fatigue (p-value 0,340), but there was a significant relationship between BMI and fatigue (p-value 0,014). There was an interaction between hydration status and BMI. There was also a significant relationship between the effect of hydration status modification considering BMI on fatigue (p-value 0,022 amd cOR 1,184). This shows that the impact of hydration status on the level of work fatigue varies depending on BMI status. The OR value for obese BMI (code 1)was 1,46; meaning that obese respondents with dehydration were 1,46 times more likely to experience severe fatigur compared to respondents with good hydration status, after controlling for work-related and non-work-related risk factors.

"Kelelahan kerja merupakan perasaan lelah yang menyebabkan penurunan kemampuan kerja. Meski dapat ditemukan di setiap sektor industri, beberapa sektor lebih rentan terhadap kondisi ini karena kombinasi dari berbagai faktor risiko. Salah satunya adalah sektor tambang. Hingga saat ini, penelitian terkait kelelahan kerja di pertambangan belum banyak dilakukan pada pekerja mine support. Divisi X sebagai salah satu divisi mine support PT X telah mengalami insiden boat di mana kelelahan kerja terindikasi sebagai salah satu faktor laten. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran komprehensif mengenai kejadian kelelahan kerja serta faktor risikonya, baik terkait kerja maupun tidak terkait kerja, yang dialami oleh operator boat di Divisi X PT X tahun 2023. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner Subjective Self Test oleh Industrial Fatigue Research Committee, wawancara mendalam, pengisian formulir, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri atas informan utama, yaitu operator boat, sejumlah lima orang dan informan kunci, yaitu supervisor operator boat, sejumlah satu orang. Variabel yang diteliti terdiri dari kelelahan kerja, faktor risiko terkait kerja (pengalaman kerja, desain kerja, durasi kerja, waktu istirahat, shift kerja, dan lingkungan kerja), serta faktor risiko tidak terkait kerja (durasi tidur, kualitas tidur, dan waktu perjalanan). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa semua operator boat Divisi X PT X mengalami kelelahan kerja tingkat ringan atau sedang, dengan faktor risiko terkait kerja yang dialami adalah desain kerja, durasi kerja, waktu istirahat, shift kerja, dan lingkungan kerja. Sementara faktor risiko tidak terkait kerja adalah durasi tidur, kualitas tidur, dan waktu perjalanan.

Work fatigue refers to the feeling of tiredness that resulted in reduced work performance. While this condition can be found in every industrial sector, some are more susceptible than others due to the combination of risk factors. Such example is the mining industry. Research on work fatigue in mine support workers is currently limited. Division X, one of the mine support division in PT X, has recently experienced a boat incident in which work fatigue was indicated as a latent factor. This research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of work fatigue experienced by boat operators in Division X of PT X in 2023, along with its related risk factors, both work- and non-work-related. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive design. Data is collected through Subjective Self Test questionnaire by Industrial Fatigue Research Committee, in-depth interviews, data form, and documentation. Informants consist of five boat operators as main informants and one direct supervisor as key informant. Variables studied consist of work fatigue, its work-related risk factors (work experience, work design, work duration, rest time, shift work, and work environment), and non-work-related risk factors (sleep duration, sleep quality, and commuting time). Result shows that all boat operators in Division X of PT X experience mild to moderate occupational fatigue, with work-related risk factors found being work duration, rest time, shift work, and work environment. Meanwhile, non-work-related factors include sleep duration, sleep quality, and commuting time."

"Data Kementerian ESDM mencatat 93 kecelakaan di area pertambangan pada tahun 2021, dengan 36 kecelakaan ringan dan 57 kecelakaan berat, merenggut 11 korban jiwa. Tahun 2019 menjadi tahun terburuk dengan 133 kecelakaan (27 ringan, 106 berat) dan 24 korban jiwa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas tidur dengan kelelahan kerja setelah dikontrol oleh variabel confounding pada operator alat berat industri pertambangan PT.X Site A 2024. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penerapan rancangan cross-sectional. Studi ini melibatkan 213 pekerja yang diminta untuk mengisi kuisioner. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji multivariat analisis faktor risiko. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 49,3% pekerja mengalami kelelahan kerja pada tingkat berat, sedangkan 50,7% responden mengalami kelelahan kerja pada tingkat ringan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan kelelahan kerja (p value=0,011). Pekerja yang memiliki kualitas tidur buruk berisiko 2,38 kali untuk mengalami kelelahan kerja berat dibandingkan pekerja yang memiliki kualitas tidur baik setelah dikontrol oleh variabel masa kerja, waktu perjalanan, lingkungan tidur, dan faktor psikososial (overcommitment) (aOR=2,38 95% CI 1,22 – 4,65).

Data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) recorded 93 accidents in mining areas in 2021, with 36 minor accidents and 57 serious accidents, claiming 11 lives. The year 2019 was the worst year with 133 accidents (27 minor, 106 serious) and 24 fatalities. This research aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and work fatigue after controlling for confounding variables in heavy equipment operators in the mining industry of PT.X Site A 2024. The method used in this research is the application of a cross-sectional design. This study involved 213 workers who were asked to fill out questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using multivariate risk analysis. The results of the study showed that 49.3% of workers experienced severe work fatigue, while 50.7% of respondents experienced mild work fatigue. The results of the study showed that there is a relationship between sleep quality and work fatigue (p value = 0.011). Workers with poor sleep quality were 2.38 times more likely to experience severe work fatigue compared to workers with good sleep quality after controlling for work experience, travel time, sleep environment, and psychosocial factors (overcommitment) (aOR = 2.38 95% CI 1.22-4.65)."
