"The primary objective of this study was to examine unresolved trauma as assessed by the Adult Attachment Interview and current psychiatric symptoms, focusing on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and dissociation, in a group of adult female childhood abuse survivors. The authors examined psychiatric symptoms and attachment representations in a group with (n = 30) and without (n = 30) abuse-related PTSD. The findings revealed that unresolved trauma carried a 7.5-fold increase in the likelihood of being diagnosed with PTSD and was most strongly associated with PTSD avoidant symptoms rather than dissociative symptoms. The utility of a PTSD framework for understanding unresolved trauma and the role of intentional avoidance of trauma cues in the maintenance of traumatized states of mind are discussed."

"The authors assessed women and men who either reported continuous memories of their childhood sexual abuse (CSA, n = 92), reported recovering memories of CSA (n = 38), reported believing they harbored repressed memories of CSA (n = 42), or reported never having been sexually abused (n = 36). Men and women were indistinguishable on all clinical and psychometric measures. The 3 groups that reported abuse scored similarly on measures of anxiety, depression, dissociation, and absorption. These groups also scored higher than the control group. Inconsistent with betrayal trauma theory, recovered memory participants were not more likely to report abuse by a parent or stepparent than were continuous memory participants. Rates of depression and posttraumatic stress disorder did not differ between the continuous and recovered memory groups."

"In this study, the authors assessed 48 female survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) and 71 female control participants using measures of adult sexual function, psychological function (i.e., depression and anxiety), and sexual self-schemas. The primary purpose of this study was to examine whether differences existed between women with and without a history of CSA in the way that they viewed themselves as a sexual person and, if so, whether such differences mediated the link between early unwanted sexual experiences and later adult sexuality. CSA survivors were found to view themselves as less romantic and passionate than women who were not abused. In particular, CSA survivors showed an inverse relationship between romantic/passionate sexual self-schemas and negative sexual affect during sexual arousal. The relationship between CSA and negative sexual affect was independent from symptoms of depression and anxiety, suggesting that the impact of CSA on sexual self-schemas may be independent from the impact that the abuse may have in other areas of the survivor's life."

"Despite recent research indicating that 1 of the pivotal times for identifying pathways to early conduct problems is the toddler period, few family-based preventive interventions have been specifically designed to modify child disruptive behavior during this age period. This randomized trial tested the effectiveness of the Family Check-Up in sustaining maternal involvement and preventing the exacerbation of child conduct problems among 120 at-risk toddler-age boys, half of whom were randomly assigned to a treatment condition. The intervention was associated with reductions in disruptive behavior and greater maternal involvement and was particularly effective for children at greater risk for a persistent trajectory of conduct problems. The results are discussed in relation to other preventive interventions for young children."

"Seventy-two clinically anxious children, aged 7 to 14 years, were randomly allocated to clinic-based, cognitive-behavior therapy, the same treatment partially delivered via the Internet, or a wait-list control (WL). Children in the clinic and clinic-plus-Internet conditions showed significantly greater reductions in anxiety from pre- to posttreatment and were more likely to be free of their anxiety diagnoses, compared with the WL group. Improvements were maintained at 12-month follow-up for both therapy conditions, with minimal difference in outcomes between interventions. The Internet treatment content was highly acceptable to families, with minimal dropout and a high level of therapy compliance."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui panoptisisme dalam proses konstruksi wacana tubuh normal pada perempuan gemuk khalayak iklan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses konstruksi wacana tubuh normal pada perempuan gemuk, mendeskripsikan dan mengidentifikasi permainan kebenaran atas wacana tubuh normal perempuan, mengidentifikasi mengidentifikasi konsep diri yang dihasilkan dari proses konstruksi sosial atas realitas tubuh normal, dan mengidentifikasi pemain-pemain permainan kebenaran yang dihasilkan dari konsep diri hasil konstruksi sosial atas realitas tubuh normal. Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka berpikir Michel Foucault mengenai panoptisisme, disiplin tubuh, hubungan relasi kuasa dan wacana, konstruksi realitas sosial dari Berger-Luckman dan interaksionisme simbolik yang dikembangkan Cooley-Mead. Paradigma dalam penelitian ini adalah konstruksionisme kritis dan merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam terhadap 6 perempuan gemuk.
Hasil penelitian ini berhasil mengidentifikasi Panoptisisme Patriarki yang ada dalam proses konstruksi wacana tubuh normal, permainan kebenaran atas wacana tubuh normal di media, hadir dalam bentuk wacana tubuh normal dan wacana sehat dalam tampilan media, seperti postingan akun media sosial, tayangan di televisi, iklan cetak di majalah, iklan di billboard, dan iklan televisi, panoptisisme wacana tubuh normal melalui iklan terjadi ketika wacana bersemayam dan mendisiplinkan tanpa terlihat, tanpa disadari dan tanpa paksaan melalui media, proses konstruksi wacana tubuh normal melalui media menghasilkan 3 kategori konsep diri, yaitu normative-confident self, alternative-confident self, dan low-confident self, dan konsep diri tersebut menghasil pemain-pemain permainan kebenaran yang terdiri a...

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to identify panopticism in the construction process of normal body discourse to obese women who were Advertisement Audience. In addition, this study also aimed to describe the construction process of normal body discourse, identify the truth game of the normal body discourse in the media, identify the self-concept, and identify the truth-game players of the discourse. This study uses a framework of Michel Foucault on panopticism, body discipline, power relations and discourse relations, the construction of social reality of Berger-Luckman and symbolic interactionist developed by Cooley and Mead. The paradigm of this research is critical constructionism and is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used are depth interviews with 6 obese women.

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara loneliness dan parenting self-efficacy pada ibu tunggal yang memiliki anak usia kanak madya. Pengukuran loneliness dilakukan dengan menggunakan Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale for Adults (SELSA) yang dikonstruksikan oleh DiTommaso dan Spinner (1993), sedangkan parenting self-efficacy diukur dengan menggunakan Self-Efficacy for Parenting Task Index (SEPTI) yang dikonstruksikan oleh Coleman dan Karraker (2000). Partisipan dari penelitian ini adalah 37 ibu tunggal akibat bercerai yang memiliki anak usia kanak madya.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara loneliness dengan parenting self-efficacy (r = - .343; n = 37; p < 0,05, one-tail). Artinya, semakin tinggi loneliness ibu tunggal, semakin rendah parenting self-efficacy-nya; begitu pula sebaliknya. Terdapat dua dari tiga dimensi loneliness yang ditemukan memiliki korelasi negatif yang signifikan dengan parenting self-efficacy. Kedua dimensi tersebut adalah keluarga dan sosial. Korelasi antara keluarga dan parenting self-efficacy ditemukan lebih kuat dibandingkan dengan korelasi antara sosial dan parenting self-efficacy.
Di samping itu, loneliness ditemukan tidak memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dengan setiap domain parenting self-efficacy, tetapi dimensi romantis memiliki korelasi negatif yang signifikan dengan domain kesehatan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, hubungan dengan anggota keluarga yang baik perlu dimiliki oleh ibu tunggal yang memiliki anak usia kanak madya agar respon ibu tunggal terhadap kondisinya menjadi lebih positif, dan sejalan dengan hal tersebut diharapkan parenting self-efficacy ibu tunggal meningkat.

This study examined the relationship between loneliness and parenting self-efficacy among single mothers of middle childhood children. Loneliness was measured by Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale or SELSA (DiTommaso & Spinner, 1993), whereas parenting self-efficacy was measured by Self-Efficacy for Parenting Task Index or SEPTI (Coleman & Karraker, 2000). The respondents of this study were 37 Indonesia single mothers of middle childhood.
This study obtain a significant, negative relationship between loneliness and parenting selfefficacy (r = -.343; n = 37; p < .05, one-tailed). It indicates that the higher single mothers’ loneliness, the lower their parenting self-efficacy, and vice versa. Next, there are two out three dimension of loneliness that have significant, negative relationship to parenting self-efficacy, they are family and social, where family has higher correlation than social.
On the other hand, there is no significant relationship between loneliness and parenting self-efficacy’s domains, yet there is a significant, negative relationship between romantic dimension and health domain. Based on these results, single mothers need to increase their family relationship's quality in order to help them accepting their status and condition as single mothers, while increasing their parenting self-efficacy as well.

"Meningkatnya jumlah ibu penderita HIV/AIDS di Indonesia membuat perlunya untuk mengetahui dinamika kehidupan mereka, terutama keyakinannya dalam melakukan parenting terhadap anak. Keyakinan dalam melakukan parenting ini disebut sebagai parenting self-efficacy (Coleman & Karraker, 1997). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan parenting self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial pada ibu dengan HIV/AIDS yang memiliki anak usia kanak-kanak madya.
Pengukuran parenting self-efficacy dilakukan melalui alat ukur Self-Efficacy Parenting for Tasks Index (SEPTI) (Coleman & Karraker, 2000), sedangkan dukungan sosial diukur melalui dua komponen—yaitu persepsi terhadap jumlah orang yang dapat diandalkan dan kepuasan akan dukungan yang ada—dalam alat ukur Social Support Questionnaire-Short Form (SSQSR) (Sarason, Sarason, Shearin & Pierce, 1987). Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 30 ibu yang terinfeksi HIV dan memiliki anak usia lima hingga dua belas tahun.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara parenting self-efficacy dengan persepsi jumlah dukungan sosial (r = 0,386 ; n = 30; p < 0,05, two-tail) dan juga kepuasan akan dukungan sosial (r = 0,409 ; n = 30; p < 0,05, two-tail). Artinya, semakin tinggi parenting self-efficacy ibu, semakin tinggi pula dukungan sosial yang ibu persepsikan; begitu pula sebaliknya. Ditemukan pula bahwa domain parenting self-efficacy tertinggi adalah nurturance sedangkan yang terendah adalah disiplin. Analisis tambahan juga menemukan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada parenting self-efficacy ibu dengan HIV/AIDS berdasarkan urutan kelahiran anak mereka yang berusia kanak-kanak madya.

Mothers living with HIV/AIDS are significantly increasing in Indonesia. By then, it's important to know further about their life, including their belief in parenting their children. The mother’s belief in parenting is called parenting self-efficacy (Coleman & Karraker, 1997). This study examined the relationship between parenting self-efficacy and social support among HIV/AIDS mothers with middle childhood children.
Parenting self-efficacy was measured by Self-Efficacy Parenting for Tasks Index (SEPTI) (Coleman & Karraker, 2000), while social support measured through it's two elements (the perception of available others to whom one can turn in times of need and the degree of satisfaction with the available support) in Social Support Questionnaire-Short Form (SSQSR) (Sarason, Sarason, Shearin & Pierce, 1987). The participants in this study were 30 mothers infected HIV with middle childhood children.
The result shows that there is a significant, positive relationship between parenting self-efficacy and both of the elements of social support, which are the perception of social support numbers (r = 0,386 ; n = 30; p < 0,05, two-tail) and the satisfaction of the support (r = 0,409 ; n = 30; p < 0,05, two-tail). Those indicates that the higher mothers parenting self efficacy, the higher they perceive social support, and vice versa. This study also found that the highest domain in parenting self-efficacy is nurturance, while the lowest is discipline. Furthermore, this study found that there is a difference between mothers parenting self-efficacy based on their middle childhood child's ordinal position.
