"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari iklan tradisional dan komunikasi di media sosial (firm created & user generated content) terhadap consumer based brand equity; functional brand image, hedonic brand image, dan brand awareness. Penelitian ini juga menguji pengaruh dari functional brand image, hedonic brand image dan brand awareness terhadap purchase intention melalui brand attitude.
Objek dari penelitian ini adalah tiga top brand di industri kosmetik FMCG di Indonesia yaitu Maybelline, Revlon, dan Wardah. 204 sampel di ambil untuk penelitian ini, sampel penelitian adalah wanita dengan usia diatas 18 tahun keatas, pernah melihat merek kosmetik di media sosial dan media tradisional, dan pernah membeli produk kosmetik dalam kurun waktu satu tahun terakhir.
Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa firm created social media communication berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap brand awareness, functional brand image dan hedonic brand image, sementara itu user generated social media communication hanya berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap functional brand image dan hedonic brand image. Temuan penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa media traditional tidak berpengaruh terhadap consumer based brand equity. Data dari penelitian ini di analisa mengunakan Structural Equation Modelling dengan menggunakan program Lisrel.

The purpose of this study is to examine the impacts of traditional advertising and social media communication (firm created & user generated content) on consumer based brand equity; functional brand image, hedonic brand image and brand awareness. Moreover, this study also examines the effect of functional brand image, hedonic brand image, brand awareness to purchase intention mediated by brand attitude.
The research object are the top three players in FMCG cosmetics industry in Indonesia which are Maybelline, Revlon, or Wardah. 204 samples are taken for this research, the sample are women aged 18 years old and above that have seen the brand on social media and traditional media and have purchased cosmetics product within one-year period.
The finding from this research shows that firm created social media has significant influence brand awareness, functional brand image, and hedonic brand image, while user generated social media communication only significantly influence functional brand image and hedonic brand image. Furthermore, it is also found that traditional advertising does not have significant influence on consumer based brand equity. This research is used Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) operated by Lisrel program.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dari aktivitas pemasaran media sosial terhadap consumer based brand equity. Variabel yang termasuk dalam consumer based brand equity dalam penelitian ini adalah brand awareness, brand image, perceived quality, brand attitude, dan brand loyalty. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif. "Selama dua dekade terakhir, media sosial berhasil mengubah pola komunikasi antara perusahaan dan konsumen yang memungkinkan adanya hubungan dua arah tanpa batasan jarak dan waktu. Seluruh perusahaan dari berbagai industri pun mulai meningkatkan eksistensi mereka di media sosial, termasuk perusahaan produk kecantikan berlabel halal khususnya Wardah. Meskipun sudah diterima khalayak umum, belum ada studi lebih lanjut pengaruh aktivitas pemasaran media sosial perusahaan terhadap ekuitas merek pada konsumen Muslim. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh perceived social media marketing activities terhadap consumer-based brand equity dengan model Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) serta menguji efek mediasi dari variabel brand experience dan moderasi dari variabel religiosity. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SEM-PLS untuk melihat hubungan variabel dan efek mediasi serta moderasi dengan menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS 3.0. Dari 635 data dari responden wanita Muslim, ditemukan bahwa religiosity tidak memberikan pengaruh dalam memoderasi hubungan antara perceived social media marketing activities dan brand experience. Adapun brand experience memediasi hubungan antara aktivitas pemasaran media sosial yang dirasakan konsumen dengan consumer-based brand equity. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa manajer pemasaran perlu mempertimbangkan untuk membuat konten media sosial yang informatif dan interaktif yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan E-WOM.

Over the past two decades, social media has succeeded in changing the pattern of communication between companies and consumers, allowing for a two-way relationship without the limitations of distance and time. All companies from various industries have begun to increase their presence on social media, including companies with halal-labeled beauty products. Although it has been accepted by the general public, there has been no further study of the effect of corporate social media marketing activities on brand equity in Muslim consumers. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of perceived social media marketing activities on consumer-based brand equity with the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) model and examine the mediating effect of the brand experience variable and the moderating of the religiosity variable. The analytical method used in this study is SEM-PLS to see the relationship between variables and the effects of mediation and moderation using the SmartPLS 3.0 application. From 635 data from Muslim female respondents, it was found that religiosity had no effect in moderating the relationship between perceived social media marketing activities and brand experience. Meanwhile, brand experience mediates the relationship between social media marketing activities perceived by consumers and consumer-based brand equity. This study implies that marketing managers need to consider creating informative and interactive social media content that is expected to increase E-WOM."

"Maybelline New York sebagai anak perusahaan milik L'oreal merupakan salah satu merek kosmetik kategori massa (mass cosmetic) di Indonesia. Saat ini Maybelline New York menghadapi tantangan dalam bersaing dengan berbagai merek kosmetik lainnya dimana setiap merek dari produk kosmetik memiliki personality yang berbeda.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh brand personality terhadap minat beli konsumen pada merek kosmetik Maybelline New York serta melihat dimensi brand personality manakah yang paling berpengaruh terhadap minat beli merek kosmetik Maybelline New York.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposif. Pada penelitian ini sampel yang diambil adalah sebanyak 100 responden.
Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa brand personality memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap minat beli pada Maybelline New York dan dimensi sincerity dari brand personality memiliki pengaruh yang paling signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen.

Maybelline New York as a Sister Company of L`oreal is one of the mass cosmetic brand in Indonesia. Maybelline New York nowadays was facing a challenge in a competition with other cosmetic brands where each brand from cosmetic product had a specific personality.
The intention of this research was to find the influence of brand personality to the consumer`s willingness to purchase Maybelline New York and also to find which brand personality dimension had the most influence towards consumer`s purchase intention on Maybelline New York.
Quantitative method with purposive sampling technique was applied in this research using 100 respondent sample.
The result of this research proved that brand personality had a significant effect towards purchase intention and the sincerity dimension of brand personality had the most significant influence to the consumer`s willingness to purchase Maybelline New York cosmetic brand.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak publisitas negatif pada consumer attribution, brand image, brand attitude, dan purchase intention untuk Garuda Indonesia dengan tingkat keparahan rendah dan tinggi. Sampel penelitian ini adalah partisipan yang menggunakan layanan terbang Garuda Indonesia selama 6 bulan terakhir dan berusia antara 17 hingga 40 tahun. Data penelitian ini diolah dengan Partial Least Square (PLS) menggnakan software SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa consumer attribution mempengaruhi brand attitude dan purchase intention, sementara brand image dan brand attitude mempengaruhi purchase intention secara positif. Tidak ada moderasi dari tingkat keparahan terhadap hubungan apapun terkecuali untuk consumer attribution terhadap brand image yang tidak ditemukan signifikan dalam uji sebelumnya.

 


This study aims to analyze the impact of negative publicity on consumer attribution, brand image, brand attitude, and purchase intention for Garuda Indonesia with mild and high severity of negative publicity. The sample of this research include individuals who are flying with Garuda Indonesia within the last 6 months, and are aged between 17 to 40 years old. The data of this study was processed with Partial Least Square (PLS) and the software SmartPLS version 3.0. Result of this research shows that consumer attribution under negative publicity has negative influence on brand attitude and purchase intention, and brand image as well as brand attitude under negative publicity influenced purchase intention positively. There was no moderation by information severity towards the relationships, with the exception of consumer attribution towards brand image, which was found insignificant in the earlier test.

"Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh brand engagement dan brand love terhadap overall brand equity dan repurchase intention konsumen milenial Indonesia pada pasar smartphone/ponsel pintar. Dalam penelitian ini, brand engagement konsumen diuji per dimensi (cognition, affection, dan activation), untuk membuktikan intensitas dimensi yang mempengaruhi hubungan konsumen-merek. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan studi kasus lima merek smartphone teratas di Indonesia, antara lain: Apple, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, dan Xiaomi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei daring terhadap 468 milenial. Data kemudian dilakukan uji reliabilitas dan validitas, sebelum diuji dengan analisis confirmatory factor analysis pada sem untuk uji kekuatan hubungan. Makalah ini menunjukkan bahwa brand engagement secara keseluruhan terbukti mempengaruhi brand love secara positif. Brand love, affection dan activation dari brand engagement juga terbukti mempengaruhi overall brand equity dan repurchase intention secara positif. Namun, cognition tidak terbukti secara langsung mempengaruhi overall brand equity dan repurchase intention secara positif. Studi lebih lanjut mungkin bertujuan untuk menyelidiki kategori lain dari produk dan layanan. Studi ini juga hanya berfokus pada satu segmen konsumen (segmen milenial), studi lebih lanjut mungkin mengevaluasi segmen konsumen yang berbeda atau membandingkannya dengan segmen lain. Studi ini menawarkan saran bagi manajer untuk meningkatkan overall brand equity mereka melalui peningkatan brand engagement dan brand love pada produk, mendorong hasil positif berupa repurchase intention. Makalah ini berkontribusi pada literatur hubungan konsumen-merek yang terus berkembang dengan mengeksplorasi peran brand engagement dan brand love di segmen konsumen milenial
.The purpose of this paper is to explore the effects of brand engagement and brand love to overall brand equity and repurchase intention of Indonesian millennial consumers in the smartphone market. Consumer brand engagement is tested per dimension (cognition, affection, and activation), to prove the intensity of dimensions affecting the consumer-brand relationship. This paper will use the case study of five top smartphone brands in Indonesia, including: Apple, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi. The data collection ­was done via an online survey of 468 millennials. The data then went to a reliability and validity test, before tested with structural equation modelling confirmatory factor analysis for the strength of relationships test. The paper suggests that overall brand engagement is proven to influence brand love positively. Brand love, affection and activation of brand engagement are also proven to influence brand equity and repurchase intention positively. However, cognition isn’t proved to directly influence overall brand equity and repurchase intention positively. Further study might aim at investigating other categories of products and services. Other outcomes might be evaluated, as well as other moderating variables. This study also only focuses on one consumer segment (millennials), further study might evaluate different consumer segments or compare it with other segments. This study offers suggestions for managers to enhance their overall brand equity through raising the brand engagement and brand love of the products, encouraging positive outcomes as repurchase intention. This paper contributes to the ever-growing consumer-brand relationships literature by exploring the role of brand engagement and brand love in the millennials segment."

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksplanatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dalam mengambil sampel, teknik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah non-probability sampling dengan pendekatan purposive sampling. Kriteria sampel pada penelitian ini adalah konsumen yang pernah melakukan pembelian produk Starbucks Indonesia, mengikuti Starbucks di platform media sosial dan berdomisili di Jakarta. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 256 orang. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner online dalam bentuk Google Form dan data yang didapatkan diolah menggunakan SPSS dan SmartPLS melalui analisis statistik deskriptif dan SEM-PLS. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh hubungan yang dimiliki dalam model penelitian signifikan dan memiliki pengaruh positif.

This study aims to analyze the effect of Social Media Marketing Efforts on Brand Equity and Consumer Response on Starbucks Indonesia's consumer in Jakarta. The type of the study is explanative with quantitative approach. In taking samples, the technique uses in this study is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling approach. The sample criteria in this study are consumer who have bought Starbucks Indonesia products, followed Starbucks Indonesia on social media platform and domiciled in Jakarta. The number of respondents in this study were 256 people. The instrument used in in this study is online questionnaire by Google Form and the data obtained were processed using SPSS and SmartPLS through descriptive statistical analysis and SEM-PLS. The results of this study indicate that all relationships held in the research model are significant and had positive influences."

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh komunikasi merek di media sosial, yaitu Firm-Created Content (FCC) dan User-Generated Content (UGC), terhadap Brand Equity dan respons konsumen dalam konteks pasar online bootcamp di Indonesia. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survei online, data dikumpulkan dari 203 responden dan dianalisis dengan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa FCC dan UGC efektif dalam membangun brand equity dan meningkatkan respons konsumen. Oleh karena itu, online bootcamp perlu fokus pada strategi FCC dan UGC yang efektif untuk mencapai kesuksesan di pasar yang kompetitif ini.

Education technology industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth, marked by increased adoption and projected revenues, leading to the emergence of companies offering bootcamp services and using social media as a primary promotional tool. This study aims to examine the impact of social media brand-related communication, specifically Firm-Created Content (FCC) and User-Generated Content (UGC), on Brand Equity and consumer response in the online bootcamp market in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach and online survey method, data were collected from 203 respondents and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study reveals that both FCC and UGC are effective tools for building brand equity and enhancing consumer response. Therefore, online bootcamps should focus on developing and implementing effective FCC and UGC strategies to achieve success in this competitive market."

"Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh dari Social Media Marketing Activities oleh suatu merek fesyen muslim (Duha Muslimwear) terhadap Attitude towards the Brand, Brand Experiences, dan Purchase Intention pada konsumen muslim. Peneliti melakukan pengambilan sampel data menggunakan self-administered questionnaire dan mendapatkan 504 responden. Ditemukan bahwa Social Media Marketing Activities oleh merek fesyen muslim mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap sikap konsumen terhadap merek dan Brand Experience. Brand Experience juga mampu mempengaruhi Attitude towards the Brand. Sementara itu, Purchase Intention dipengaruhi positif oleh Attitude towards the Brand. Attitude towards the Brand mempunyai peran sebagai mediasi penuh terhadap pengaruh Social Media Marketing Activities dan Brand Experience terhadap Purchase Intention. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa pengaruh Social Media Marketing Activities terhadap Brand Experiences lebih kuat pada grup umur muda dibandingkan dengan grup umur yang lebih tua. Pengaruh Social Media Marketing Activities terhadap Brand Experiences juga dapat menguat dengan adanya Customer Engagement dan Religiosity. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa Religiositas tidak menguatkan pengaruh Social Media Marketing Activities terhadap attitude seseorang terhadap merek dan purchase intention secara signifikan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai referensi pelaku industri fesyen muslim atau modest fashion untuk memaksimalkan pengaruh pemasaran media sosial serta keefektifan pesannya.

This study discusses the influence of Social Media Marketing Activities by a Muslim fashion brand (Duha Muslimwear) on Attitude towards the Brand, Brand Experiences, and Purchase Intentions of Muslim consumers. Researcher took data samples using self-administered questionnaire and got 504 respondents. This study found that Social Media Marketing Activities positively influence consumer’s Attitudes towards the Brand and Brand Experience. Brand Experience also positively influence Attitude towards the Brand. Meanwhile, Attitude towards the Brand positively influence Purchase Intention. Attitude towards the Brand has a full mediation role on the influence of Social Media Marketing Activities and Brand Experience on Purchase Intention. This study also found that the influence of Social Media Marketing Activities on Brand Experiences was stronger in the younger age group than in the older age group. The influence of Social Media Marketing Activities on Brand Experiences can be strengthened by Customer Engagement and Religiosity. This study also found that religiosity did not significantly strengthen the influence of Social Media Marketing Activities on Attitude towards the Brand and Purchase Intention. The results of this study can be used as reference for Muslim fashion industry doers to maximize the influence of social media marketing and the effectiveness of the message."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai strategi pemasaran brand alliance dan pengaruhnya terhadap brand equity, brand preference, dan purchase intention dalam industri laptop. Dengan melakukan eksperimen terhadap 2 buah merek laptop dan 2 buah merek audio system yang merupakan high equity brand dan low equity brand ke dalam 4 pasang brand alliance fiksional yaitu ASUS/PIONEER, ASUS/PLANTRONICS, CLEVO/PIONEER dan CLEVO/PLANTRONICS.
Penelitian ini menggunakan 162 responden yang termasuk dalam generasi Y yang lahir pada tahun 1980-2000 dan berada di sekitar lingkungan kampus baru Universitas Indonesia sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik convenience sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah paired t test dan linear regression.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa post alliance host brand equity pasangan pertama tetap stabil dengan perubahan sebesar (0,047). Pada pasangan kedua host brand equity juga tetap stabil dengan perubahan sebesar (0,098). Pasangan ketiga meningkatkan host brand equity sebesar (0,375). Kemudian pasangan terakhir meningkatkan host brand equity sebesar (0,357).
Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa post alliance brand equity ternyata memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap brand preference dan purchase intention. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa brand alliance dapat meningkatkan brand equity dari merek laptop yang menjalankan strategi tersebut.

This research will discuss about the brand alliance marketing strategy and its effects on brand equity, brand preference, and purchase intention in the laptop industry. By conducting experiments on 2 laptop brands and 2 audio system brand that is considered high equity brands and low equity brands into 4 pairs of fictional brand alliance that ASUS / PIONEER, ASUS / PLANTRONICS, CLEVO / PIONEER and CLEVO / PLANTRONICS.
This study is using 162 participants that are a member of generation Y whose date of birth is between 1980 and 2000 within the new campus of the University of Indonesia as a research subject. Sampling technique that is used in this research is convenience sampling technique. Data analysis technique that is used in this research is paired t test and linear regression methods.
Analysis result shows that post alliance hosts brand equity of the first pair of brand remained stable with the change of (0,047). In the second pair, host brand equity also remains stable with changes of (0,098). The third pair increases the host brand equity by (0,375). Then the last pair increases the host brand equity by (0,357).
Regression results indicate that post-alliance brand equity have a positive effect on brand preference and purchase intention. These results shows that brand alliance can increase brand equity of laptop brands who implement this strategy.
