"Similar to many other countries in the world, Indonesia has been experiencing the increasing number of women workers participation both in formal and informal sectors. While in formal sector the number of female employees has increased from around 10 millions in 2008 to nearly 13 millions in 2011; in informal sector the figure is even doubled: more than 28 millions in 2008 to more than 30 millions in 2011. However to date, women workers are associated with low-skilled, lowwage workers who work in precarious working environment. Women are seldom hold managerial position both in public and private sector. The proportion of women in Indonesia who sit in the board of directors is only 6% from the entire women workers. Thus, this research aims to explore their development experience along the way. In order to obtain initial information, interviews with nine women managers from State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) were conducted. SOEs were chosen for convenience reason. The research indicates the low ratio number of women in SOEs management team although there is an optimism that the number would increase. Key point discovered in this research is that development experience is mainly done by the participants own initiatives whereas organisational supports are found very limited. This findings will be further explored and confirmed by involving more women managers from various sectors."

"Proporsi wanita di Indonesia yang duduk di manajemen perusahaan hanya sekitar 6% dari jumlah total angkatan kerja. Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) percaya bahwa wanita mampu menjadi pemimpin bahkan lebih baik dari laki-laki dan mempunyai aspirasi untuk melipatgandakan jumlah wanita di kalangan Direktur di BUMN. Pentingnya organisasi untuk mempertahankan dan mengembangkan pemimpin wanita dibahas pada tinjauan pustaka. Kemudian, komposisi gender pada manajemen BUMN dianalisa dan ditelaah.
Pada penelitian ini ditemukan angka rasio wanita yang berada di manajemen BUMN rendah tetapi ada optimisme bahwa angka tersebut akan naik. Ditemukan bahwa program pengembangan experiential yang dilakukan para peserta penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan inisiatif mereka; dan investasi BUMN pada program pengembangan kepemimpinan karyawan wanita, rendah.

The proportion of women in Indonesia who sit in the board of directors was only 6% out of the entire women work force. The Minister for State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) Republic of Indonesia believed that women were capable to be leaders as well or even better than men and had an aspiration to multiply the number of woman in the Director and CEO levels of BUMN. The importance of retaining and developing women leaders for organizations was demonstrated in the literature review. Subsequently, gender composition in BUMNs management and the leadership development of women leaders in BUMNs were explored and analyzed.
In this research, low ratio number of women in BUMNs management team was found but there was optimism that the number will increase. Key points discovered in this research were experiential development programs done by the participantsown initiatives; and BUMNs poor investment on leadership development programs towards women employees."

"Along with the rapid development of infrastructure in Indonesia, the role of controlling the risk of work accidents is becoming increasingly important. State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) as companies that dominate infrastructure projects in Indonesia are a large contributor to the number of accidents. Although there are already written regulations governing Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) in construction companies in Indonesia, the reality is that the implementation of safety in the field has not been fully implemented properly. The leadership in the company is one of the important factors in OHS management. The OHS management system is measured by the company's safety performance, where safety performance is driven by the company's leadership factor. Good leadership can regulate and control the occupational safety and health management system so that good safety performance is realized in the company. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence the leadership of BUMNs to improve the safety performance of construction projects. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to state-owned construction companies in Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and also using the Delphi Method involving experts. In addition, the Relative Importance Index (RII) is used to determine the dominant factors that influence leadership to improve safety performance in state-owned construction companies. The results of this study shows that the factors that influence leadership to improve safety performance have been implemented in stateowned construction companies. The dominant factors of leadership in order to improve Safety Performance are the indicators of Safety Coaching that include leaders show commitment, leaders being the role model, and leaders coordinate well with the workers. The results of this study are vi Universitas Indonesia expected to provide further information about improving the construction safety management system through the influence of leadership roles in safety performance.

Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) sebagai perusahaan yang mendominasi proyek infrastruktur di Indonesia menjadi penyumbang besar angka kecelakaan. Walaupun sudah ada peraturan tertulis yang mengatur tentang Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) pada perusahaan konstruksi di Indonesia, namun kenyataannya penerapan keselamatan di lapangan belum sepenuhnya dilaksanakan dengan baik. Kepemimpinan dalam perusahaan merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam pengelolaan K3. Sistem manajemen K3 diukur dari kinerja keselamatan perusahaan, dimana kinerja keselamatan didorong oleh faktor kepemimpinan perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepemimpinan BUMN untuk meningkatkan kinerja keselamatan proyek konstruksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada perusahaan konstruksi milik negara di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepemimpinan untuk meningkatkan kinerja keselamatan telah diterapkan di perusahaan konstruksi milik negara. Faktor kepemimpinan yang dominan dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja keselamatan adalah Safety Coaching yang meliputi, pemimpin menunjukkan komitmen, pemimpin menjadi panutan, dan pemimpin berkoordinasi dengan baik dengan pekerja."

"Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh managerial ability terhadap nilai State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), serta pengaruh friendship ties dan board capital terhadap hubungan tersebut. Perbedaan tujuan negara (sebagai pemilik SOEs) dari tujuan pemilik perusahaan pada umumnya, menyebabkan managerial ability yang unik pada SOEs. Walaupun SOEs memiliki keunggulan sumber daya, manfaat ekonomi, dan akses informasi dibandingkan dengan perusahaan non-SOE, masih terdapat banyak SOEs yang belum mampu menunjukkan kinerja yang memuaskan. Terlebih lagi, masih ditemui fenomena friendship ties di dalam SOEs tersebut. Dengan mengambil data 5 tahun terakhir dari SOEs yang terdaftar di bursa saham Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapura, Thailand, Korea Selatan, Jepang, dan Tiongkok sebagai sampel, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa managerial ability di SOEs berpengaruh positif terhadap nilai SOEs tersebut. Hubungan positif dimaksud diperlemah dengan hadirnya friendship ties antara executive dengan non-executive director pada SOEs. Hasil tersebut tidak berubah ketika dilakukan pengujian dengan metode pengukuran nilai yang berbeda dan pengujian sub sample. Akan tetapi, penelitian ini belum mampu membuktikan bahwa board capital dapat memperkuat hubungan positif managerial ability dengan nilai SOEs. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dengan menguji peran managerial ability pada peningkatan nilai perusahaan di tengah fenomena friendship ties yang kental pada SOEs.

This study examines the impact of managerial ability on the State-Owned Enterprises’ (SOEs) value, as well as the effect of friendship ties and board capital on that relationship. The difference between the objective of the government (the owner of SOEs) from the private company owners, causes a unique managerial ability in SOEs. Even though the SOEs have more advantages of resources, economic benefits, and access to information compared to non-SOE, many of them still failed to show the expected performance. Moreover, friendship ties are still found in SOEs. Using the last 5 years data from listed SOEs on the Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, and China stock exchanges, this study proves that managerial ability in SOEs has positive effect on the firm value. This positive relationship is weakened by the friendship ties between executives and non-executive directors. These results did not change when we use different measurement methods and do the sub-sample testing. However, this research has not be able to prove that board capital can strengthen the positive relationship between managerial ability and SOEs’ values. This study contributes by examining the role of managerial ability on increasing firm value in the midst of friendship ties in SOEs."

"Peranan sektor jasa konstruksi, sebagai unsur produksi yang menjalankan proses konstruksi hingga menghasilkan suatu bangunan, akan semakin integral di masa mendatang. Walau demikian, sektor ini merupakan salah satu sektor yang memiliki risiko kecelakaan kerja yang tinggi, sehingga diperlukan langkah demi keselamatan kerja yang lebih baik. Studi ini mengembangkan instrumen indikator pengukuran sistem manajemen keselamatan dengan menggunakan kriteria sistem manajemen keselamatan konstruksi sesuai peraturan menteri dalam Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (Permen PUPR) No.10/2021, sehingga dapat digunakan dalam menilai keselamatan di industri konstruksi. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method exploratory design, yang dimulai dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan dilanjutkan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan BUMN karya yang diobservasi telah menerapkan sistem manajemen keselamatan konstruksi berdasarkan peraturan seperti PP 50 Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan dan Permen PUPR No.10 Tahun 2021 (SMKK 10/21). Selain itu, SOP perusahaan disusun meliputi kebijakan, prosedur, instruksi kerja, dan metode kerja. Meskipun pengukuran implementasi belum dilakukan dengan aplikasi khusus, namun penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengukuran dapat dilakukan secara daring melalui aplikasi yang dikembangkan dengan sistem manajemen. Faktor-faktor seperti kompetensi, SOP, dan SMKK 10/21 pun ditemukan mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penerapan sistem manajemen keselamatan konstruksi

Construction services now and in the future will be increasingly integral because of their role as an element of production that carries out the construction process to produce a building. The construction service sector is one of the sectors that has a high risk of work accidents, so improvement steps are needed towards better work safety. The novelty of this research is the development of a safety management system measurement indicator instrument using the construction safety management system criteria according to ministerial regulation in Ministry of Public Works and Housing (Permen PUPR) No. 10/2021 so that an instrument that can be used in assessing safety in the construction industry can be obtained. The methodology used in this research uses a mixed-method exploratory design approach, which starts with a qualitative approach and continues with a quantitative approach. The results show that the company has implemented a construction safety management system under regulations such as PP 50 of the Ministry of Manpower and ministerial regulation in the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (Permen PUPR) No. 10 of 2021 (SMKK 10/21). In addition, the company's SOPs, which include policies, procedures, work instructions, and work methods, have been compiled. Although implementation measurement has not been done with a dedicated application, research shows that measurement can be done online through an application developed by the management system. Factors such as competence, SOPs, and SMKK 10/21 significantly influence the implementation of the construction safety management system, with competence playing a robust role and SOPs and SMKK 10/21 exerting a powerful influence."

"Penelitian tesis ini difokuskan pada penilaian penyalahgunaan kewenangan serta penerapan Doktrin Corporate Law dalam menganalisis kasus Badan Usaha Milik Negara. Bentuk peneliitian yang digunakan adalah yuridis-normatif dan menggunakan tipologi penelitian eksplanatoris. Hasil penelitiannya adalah dalam menjalankan Perusahaan Direktur Badan Usaha Milik Negara telah terikat dalam berbagai aturan melalui Undang-Undang No. 40 Tahun 2007 Tentang Perseroan Terbatas juga diatur dalam Undang-Undang No. 19 Tahun 2003 Tentang Badan Usaha Milik Negara. Direksi dalam menjalankan pengurusan di Perseroan wajib melaksanakan dengan penuh itikad baik dan tanggung jawab sesuai tujuan Perseroan. Doktrin-Doktrin Corporate Law telah memberikan pengaturan yang menjadi kewajiban dan larangan atas kepengurusan Perseroan. Penyimpangan terhadap penerapan Doktrin Corporate Law dalam Perseoan BUMN menjadi parameter dalam menentukan kesalahan Direksi yang bisa diukur dari, Doktrin Fiduciary duty, Doktrin businnes judgment rule, Doktrin ultra vires dan Doktrin Piercing the Corporate Veil. Disamping itu juga bahwa perlu diperjelas kedudukan dan status kekayaan BUMN itu terpisah dari kekayaan Negara dalam UU yang terkait satu dengan yang lain, kemudian penilaian atas kerugian harus dilakukan seproposional mungkin guna menghindari disorder of law dan memastika keadilan bisa tercapai sesuai dengan yang semestinya serta penting kedepanya doktrin-doktrin tersebut harus diperkuat dan diadopsi dalam setiap sendi-sendi aturan hukum Negara untuk dijadikan dasar paradigmatik untuk menyelesaikan persoalan dalam pengelolaan perusahaan

This thesis research is focused on the assessment of abuse of authority and the application of Corporate Law Doctrine in analyzing the case of State-Owned Enterprises. The form of research used is juridical-normative and uses an explanatory research typology. The result of the research is that in running the Company the Director of State-Owned Enterprises has been bound by various rules through Law no. 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies is also regulated in Law no. 19 of 2003 concerning State-Owned Enterprises. The Board of Directors in carrying out management in the Company is required to carry out in full good faith and responsibility in accordance with the objectives of the Company. The doctrines of Corporate Law have provided regulations that are obligations and prohibitions on the management of the Company. Deviations from the application of the Corporate Law Doctrine in SOEs are a parameter in determining the errors of the Board of Directors which can be measured from the Fiduciary dutyDoctrine, the Business Judgment Rule Doctrine, Ultra Vires Doctrine and the Piercing the Corporate Veil Doctrine. Besides that, it is also necessary to clarify the position and status of BUMN assets separately from state assets in laws that are related to one another, then an assessment of losses must be carried out as proportionally as possible in order to avoid disorder of law and ensure justice can be achieved in accordance with what should be and is important in the future. these doctrines must be strengthened and adopted in every joint of the rule of state law to be used as a paradigmatic basis for solving problems in company management"

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh tata kelola perusahaan terhadap manajemen laba BUMN di Indonesia. Tata Kelola Perusahaan diukur menggunakan penilaian berdasarkan Keputusan Sekretaris Kementerian Badan Usaha Milik Negara Nomor: SK-16/S.MBU/2012 tentang Indikator/Parameter Penilaian dan Evaluasi atas Penerapan Tata Kelola Perusahaan yang Baik (Good Corporate Governance) pada Badan Usaha Milik Negara, sementara manajemen laba diukur dengan menggunakan proksi discretionary accruals. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan melalui regresi data panel dengan sampel 74 BUMN non sektor jasa keuangan pada periode 2018-2022, sehingga menghasilkan 298 firm-years. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mekanisme tata kelola perusahaan dapat menurunkan manajemen laba yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Pengujian tambahan dilakukan dengan menguji masing-masing aspek penilaian GCG dengan hasil bahwa Aspek Lainnya pada penilaian SK-16 menjadi aspek yang signifikan mempengaruhi penurunan manajemen laba pada perusahaan. Pengujian tambahan lain berupa pengujian pada masing-masing sektor BUMN menghasilkan bahwa GCG berperan dalam membatasi manajemen laba yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan pada sektor Jasa dan sektor Konstruksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan periode 2018-2022 yang melewati periode COVID-19 yaitu pada tahun 2020-2021, sehingga dilakukan pengujian tambahan dengan membagi subsampel periode Covid dan Non-Covid, namun tidak ditemukan perbedaan hasil pengujian pengaruh tata kelola perusahaan terhadap manajemen laba dari kedua subsampel tersebut.

This study aims to examine the impact of good corporate governance (GCG) on earnings management in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Indonesia. Good corporate governance is measured using the evaluation parameters outlined in the Decree of the Secretary of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises Number: SK-16/S.MBU/2012 regarding Indicators/Parameters for Assessment and Evaluation of the Implementation of Good Corporate Governance in State-Owned Enterprises. Meanwhile, earnings management is measured using the proxy of discretionary accruals. Hypothesis testing is conducted using panel data regression with a sample of 74 non-financial sector SOEs over the 2018-2022 period, resulting in 298 firm-years. The findings reveal that the mechanisms of good corporate governance can reduce earnings management. Additional tests were conducted by examining each aspect of the GCG assessment, revealing that the "Other Aspects" in the SK-16 assessment significantly influence the reduction of earnings management in companies. Another additional test, focusing on each SOE sector, found that GCG plays a role in limiting earnings management practices in the Services and Construction sectors. This study covers the period from 2018 to 2022, which includes the COVID-19 period (2020–2021). Therefore, an additional test was conducted by dividing the sample into subsamples for the COVID and Non-COVID periods. However, no differences were found in the results regarding the effect of corporate governance on earnings management between the two subsamples. "

"Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh manajemen laba (EM), strategi cost leadership (BSCL) dan diferensiasi (BSD), siklus hidup perusahaan dengan proksi laba ditahap terhadap total aset (FMA) dan terhadap total ekuitas (FME) pada kesulitan keuangan (FD) dengan menjadikan BUMN sebagai variabel moderasi. Model penelitian yang dipilih adalah fixed effect model. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa EM, BSCL, dan FMA berpengaruh pada FD. Untuk BSCL dan FME tidak ditemukan adanya pengaruh terhadap FD. Uji regresi dengan variabel moderasi dummy memiliki pada EM dan BSCL terhadap FD dan tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap pada BSD dan FME. Sedangkan FMA tidak memiliki dampak negatif terhadap FD untuk perusahaan BUMN

This research analyzes the effect of earnings management (EM), business strategy cost leadership (BSCL) and differentiation (BSD), and firm’s life cycle with two proxy (FMA) and (FME) on financial distress by using state-owned enterprises as a moderating variable. Fixed effect model is used on this research. The results showed that EM, BSCL, and FMA have an effect on FD. However. BSCL and FME have no effect on FD. The regression result by including the dummy variable of BUMN show that have an effect on EM and BSCL. While, BUMN moderating variable has no effect on BSD and FME to FD. On the other hand, FMA has a negative impact on financial distress for BUMN companies."

"Manajemen Portofolio Proyek (Project Portfolio Management/PPM) terbukti mampu meningkatkan keunggulan melalui mekanisme yang secara dinamis mendukung organisasi untuk mengatur basis sumber daya mereka untuk menghadapi perubahan lingkungan. PPM Maturity Model adalah alat untuk menilai tingkat kemampuan dalam proses, alat, dan orang-orang yang terlibat dalam mengelola proses portofolio proyek. Mengelola kematangan portofolio adalah proses penting untuk memastikan bahwa organisasi mengembangkan proses yang tepat berdasarkan kebutuhan organisasi. Penelitian ini akan membuat PPM Maturity Model dan menentukan PPM Maturity Level untuk perusahaan Jasa Konstruksi BUMN. Diawali dengan menganalisis parameter PPM apa saja yang berpengaruh pada PPM Maturity Model, lalu memetakan PPM maturity level dan terakhir menentukan parameter yang paling berpengaruh dalam PPM Maturity Level pada Perusahaan Jasa Konstruksi BUMN di Indonesia. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukan 5 variabel dan 40 indikator pada PPM Maturity Model yang dapat untuk mengukur PPM Maturity Level. Indikator paling berpengaruh adalah kemampuan beradaptasi dan ketahanan perusahaan.

Project Portfolio Management (PPM) is proven to be able to increase excellence through mechanisms that dynamically support organizations to manage their resource base to deal with environmental changes. The PPM Maturity Model is a tool for assessing the level of proficiency in the processes, tools, and people involved in managing the project portfolio process. Managing portfolio maturity is an important process to ensure that the organization develops the right processes based on the needs of the organization. This research will create a PPM Maturity Model and determine the PPM Maturity Level for BUMN Construction Services companies. It begins with analyzing which PPM parameters affect the PPM Maturity Model, then maps the PPM maturity level and finally determines the most influential parameters in the PPM Maturity Level in BUMN Construction Service Companies in Indonesia. The results of this study were found to be 5 variables and 40 indicators in the PPM Maturity Model which can be used to measure the PPM Maturity Level. The most influential indicators are the company's adaptability and resilience."
