"ABSTRAK
Electronic cigarettes e-cigarettes , of which the health effects are still unknown, are significantly gaining their popularity in Indonesia. A massive news release on the internet talking about e-cigarettes might contribute to robust public rsquo;s concern about the use of e-cigarettes that could influence policy makers in considering the regulation of these devices. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how online mass media frame the message of e-cigarettes based upon topics of the story, news source, and coverage of benefits and harms of these products. This study performed a content-analysis method using a variable coding sheet in four popular online news media in Indonesia. This study found 418 articles mentioning about e-cigarettes of which 320 articles 76.6 were included in the content analysis. Majority of the article 70.9 have a negative frame and mainly talked about the policy issue of these devices. The news source that was frequently used in the articles is scientist/researcher 34.7 . The studied articles mostly presented harms of e-cigarettes rather than their benefits. Thus, most of the online news media tend to present unfavourable stories about e-cigarettes and might try to influence the readers to oppose these products.

"ABSTRAK
Dalam situasi pandemi COVID 19, komunikasi risiko yang berkaitan dengan pencegahan dan penanganan COVID 19 merupakan hal yang penting disampaikan secara berkesinambungan melalui media massa yang mudah diakses oleh publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran komunikasi risiko dalam berita tentang COVID 19 yang dipublikasi oleh detik.com dan kompas.com. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi artikel berita dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dalam ilmu komunikasi. Adapun artikel berita yang menjadi data untuk penelitian ini diambil dari tanggal 2 Maret 2020 sampai 30 April 2020 dengan metode pengambilan sampel secara acak stratifikasi proporsional. Dari 212 artikel berita di detik.com dan 166 artikel berita di kompas.com didapatkan bahwa sebagian kecil artikel berita memuat informasi mengenai ukuran epidemiologi, sifat penyakit, cara penanganan, dampak non-kesehatan dari COVID 19, dan kritik terhadap kebijakan pemerintah. Hampir setengah artikel berita memuat informasi mengenai kebijakan pemerintah daerah maupun pusat, serta sebagian besar berita pada kedua media daring tersebut memuat informasi mengenai cara pencegahan. Adapun sumber informasi yang dimuat di dalam artikel berita dari kedua media sebagian besar berasal dari institusi. Sementara jenis pesan yang paling banyak dimuat dalam artikel berita dari kedua media adalah pesan yang mengandung ancaman. Kedua media berbeda dalam penggunaan deskripsi bukti, dimana detik.com lebih sering menggunakan bentuk naratif (studi kasus), sedangkan kompas.com lebih sering menggunakan bentuk kombinasi antara angka, data statistik dan naratif. Media daring disarankan lebih banyak memuat pesan efikasi yang dapat membantu publik melewati situasi pandemi.

ABSTRACT
During the pandemic COVID 19, risk communication on the health related issues plays a central role to clear uncertainty amongst the public. Online news is one of the most accessible channels to disseminate information to the public about the current situation, as well as how to prevent and mitigate the disease. This study aimed to get the portrayals of risk communication in news articles about COVID 19 pandemic. Data for this study came from news articles published by detik.com and kompas.com in March and April 2020 using stratified proportional random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using content analysis method with descriptive quantitative approach in the communication studies. Based on 212 articles from detik.com and 166 articles from kompas.com, we found limited news regarding epidemiology information, disease characteristics, how to mitigate the disease, the non health effects of COVID-19, and criticism to governments policy. Almost half of the articles shared information about prevention. Both media mostly cited institution as the source of information, and mostly used threat as their main messages. Both media, however, differ in depicting the evidences, whereas detik.com mostly used narrative forms (i.e., study case), while kompas.com more frequently used the combination of numbers, statistical data, and narrative forms. Online news media should incorporate efficacy messages into their news articles during this pandemic situation."

Artikel ini membahas hubungan antara framing media dan bagaimana media mainstream dan alternative
menggambarkan masalah pemboman Rumah Sakit MSF di Kunduz, Afghanistan. Teori-teori ilmu komunikasi
digunakan dalam analisa perbandingan isi artikel-artikel media mainstream dan media alternative dalam waktu satu
bulan setelah pemboman Rumah Sakit MSF. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kedua media mainstream dan
alternative menggambarkan perspektif yang berbeda pada masalah yang sama. Media mainstream menggambarkan
pemboman sebagai kerusakan tambahan akibat penyerangan terhadap tentara Taliban dan sebuah kesalahan yang
mendorong Militer Amerika Serikat untuk melakukan investigasi sendiri yang akan berjalan dengan transparan.
Namun, media alternative menggambarkan peristiwa sebagai pembantaian yang dilakukan dengan sengaja. Selain
perbedaan pada isi artikel, perbedaan juga terlihat pada bagaimana kedua media menulis artikel mereka. Artikel
media mainstream tidak terlihat bias dengan menghindari kata-kata sifat dan tidak terdapat pendapat atau
argumentasi penulis , sedangkan dalam artikel media alternative terlihat sangat bias dengan banyaknya kata-kata
sifat dan pendapat atau argumentasi penulis.

"Pertumbuhan pengguna internet yang begitu cepat, membuat portal berita online sebagai salah satu media baru di Indonesia. Karakteristik portal berita online yang unik, membuat portal berita menjadi salah satu media yang penting dalam mencari informasi. Penelitian ini menguji apakah terdapat intermedia agenda setting di antara portal berita online, khususnya detik, viva, dan okezone.  Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat intermedia agenda setting di antara ketiga portal berita, maka penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi dengan unit pencatatan berupa isu, topik, dan sumber pemberitaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesamaan isu, topik, dan sumber pemberitaan di antara ketiga portal berita selama pemantauan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat intermedia agenda setting di antara ketiga portal tersebut.

As thepopulation of Internet users grows rapidly, online news websites has become one of the new media in Indonesia. The unique characteristics of online news websites make them a new important media outlet in finding an information.This study examined the intermedia agenda-setting effects among three online news websites, especially on detik, viva, and okezone. To examine whether the three of online news websites have an inter-media agenda-setting, this study applies content analysiswith a recording units i.e. issues, topic, and sources. The result showed that there are similarities among three online news websites about issues, topic, and sources. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is intermedia agenda setting among three online news websites."

"ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas program REDD+ sebagai skema yang dibentuk PBB dalam upaya mengatasi dampak perubahan iklim, ditinjau dari gambaran yang dipublikasikan Media Indonesia online. Media Indonesia online dipilih karena selain menjadi salah satu media massa nasional beroplah tinggi, juga setiap saat dapat diakses secara cepat, mudah dan praktis. Konten berita dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berita mengenai program REDD+ di Media Indonesia online secara implisit mengutamakan ideologi pemilik modal dan mendukung kapitalisme pemerintah dalam mengelola keuntungan yang didapat dari program REDD+.

ABSTRACT
This thesis is discussing about REDD+ program as scheme made by the UN in their effort to overcome the impact of climate change that was reviewed in online version of Media Indonesia. Media Indonesia online was chosen as it is one of the biggest circulation national media, easily accessed, simple and practical. The news content is about REDD+ program which analyzed descriptively using quantitative research method. The result of the research indicated that news about REDD+ in Media Indonesia online prioritizes implicitly the ideology of its hareholders and frames the government's capitalism in managing profit from REDD+ program."

"Analisis sentimen terhadap opini publik di Twitter dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga dalam memahami dukungan dan pemikiran masyarakat terkait calon presiden dan isu-isu terkait Pilpres 2024. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem analisis sentimen terhadap opini publik tentang Pilpres Indonesia 2024 yang tersebar di media sosial Twitter dalam bahasa Indonesia. Algoritma yang digunakan dalam pengembangan sistem tersebut adalah Naïve Bayes, sebuah algoritma klasifikasi yang telah terbukti efektif dalam analisis sentimen. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan tweet atau cuitan yang diperoleh dari Twitter dengan menggunakan teknik web scraping. Persentasi Akurasi pada uji coba setiap skenario yang dilakukan mendapatkan hasil terbaik dengan nilai 81,18% untuk Skenario 1, 72,58% untuk Skenario 2, 65,05% untuk Skenario 3, dan 80,11% untuk Skenario 4. Hasil evaluasi model sistem yang dikembangkan terhadap klasifikasi sebenarnya menunjukkan bahwa analisis sentimen menggunakan algoritma Naïve Bayes dapat memberikan hasil yang baik tentang sentimen opini publik terkait Pilpres Indonesia 2024 di media sosial Twitter. Pengembangan sistem yang dikerjakan memberikan hasil model yang dapat melakukan analisis sentimen secara mandiri dengan akurasi yang tinggi terhadap opini publik terkait Pilpres Indonesia 2024 dengan nilai rata-rata 81,18%. Hasil analisis sentimen ini dapat membantu pihak-pihak terkait, termasuk calon presiden dan tim kampanye mereka, untuk memahami sejauh mana opini publik mendukung atau menentang mereka.

Sentiment analysis of public opinion on Twitter can provide valuable insight in understanding public support and thoughts regarding presidential candidates and issues related to the 2024 presidential election. This research aims to develop a sentiment analysis system for public opinion about the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election shared on Twitter social media. in Indonesian. The algorithm used in developing the system is Naïve Bayes, a classification algorithm that has been proven effective in sentiment analysis. The data used in this research is a collection of tweets obtained from Twitter using web scraping techniques. The percentage of accuracy in testing each scenario carried out obtained the best results with a value of 81.18% for Scenario 1, 72.58% for Scenario 2, 65.05% for Scenario 3, and 80.11% for Scenario 4. Model evaluation results system developed for classification actually shows that sentiment analysis using the Naïve Bayes algorithm can provide good results regarding public opinion sentiment regarding the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election on Twitter social media. The system development carried out provides model results that can carry out sentiment analysis independently with high accuracy regarding public opinion regarding the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election. The results of this sentiment analysis can help related parties, including presidential candidates and their campaign teams, to understand the extent of opinion. they. society supports or opposes them."

menggunakan karikatur untuk sampul majalahnya dan sudah menjadi ciri khas
dari majalah ini. Sampul karikatur yang digunakan Majalah Tempo seringkali
terkesan jenaka, namun jika dimaknai dengan pendekatan semiotika dan dikritisi,
pembaca dapat menemukan kritik dan pesan tersurat yang mendalam. Pembaca
juga dapat mengetahui keberimbangan, presepsi, visi, dan misi Majalah Tempo

The usage of caricatures as a social critique method in national media is
an improvement for journalism. As an example, Tempo magazine utilizes
humorous caricatures as their iconic cover. The purpose of this research is to
observe the caricatures implied meanings by using semiotic and critical analysis.
The result of these methods is that we can find out Tempo Magazine's equity,
vision, mission and perception through its covers."

"ABSTRAK
Iptek berperan penting terhadap kemajuan suatu bangsa, dan tesis ini membahas mengenai upaya Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia memperkuat corporate identity sebagai salah satu lembaga riset nasional yang memproduksi informasi hasil penelitian agar sampai kepada masyarakat. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah melakukan strategi komunikasi dengan menggunakan konten digital di media sosial Instagram. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis strategi formulasi konten dan implementasinya di Instagram yang dilakukan Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia untuk memperkuat corporate brand identity. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan dianalisis dengan metode teknik analisis isi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan formulasi pesan yang dilakukan menggunakan konten naratif dan implementasi strategi konten yang dilakukan oleh LIPI telah mengikuti elemen pengemasan informasi yang baik dan secara optimal mengedepankan unsur identitas lembaga sebagai tema utama dalam pengemasan konten. Penelitian ini memberikan pandangan baru bahwa konsep corporate brand identity tidak hanya dapat digunakan pada sektor swasta tetapi dapat dimanfaatkan oleh lembaga pemerintah, dan strategi komunikasi untuk menguatkan brand identity tersebut salah satunya adalah dengan strategi formulasi konten dan implementasi strategi konten dengan optimal. Instagram LIPI membuktikan untuk membuat suatu konten di media sosial lembaga pemerintah dapat dimulai lewat menyajikan identitas lembaga itu sendiri sesuai dengan tugas dan fungsinya.

ABSTRACT
Science and technology plays an important role in the progress of a nation, and this research discusses the efforts of the Indonesian Institute of Science to strengthen its corporate identity as one of the national research institutions that produces information on research product to reach the public. The purpose of this study is to analyze the content formulation strategy and implementation of digital content strategy on Instagram by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences as a tool to strengthen corporate brand identity. This study uses a qualitative approach and is analyzed by the content analysis technique and interview. The results showed the message formulation carried out using narrative content and the implementation of content strategy conducted by LIPI had optimally followed the elements of digital content strategy that put forward the elements of institutional identity as the main theme in content packaging. This study provides a new outlook that the concept of corporate brand identity not only be used in the private sector but can be used in government agencies and one of the communication strategies to strengthen the brand identity is the content formulation strategy and the optimal implementation of the content strategy. Instagram LIPI proves to create content on social media, a government institution can be started by presenting the identity of the institution itself according to its tasks and functions. "

"ABSTRAK
Penyerangan bom Brussel pada tanggal 22 Maret 2016 mendapat banyak perhatian dari media massa, baik cetak maupun elektronik dengan berbagai opini. Peristiwa tersebut menjadi trending topic di berbagai artikel surat kabar, baik surat kabar lokal Belgia seperti De Morgen dan De Standaard, maupun surat kabar Belanda seperti De Volkskrant dan NRC Handelsblad dengan opini yang berbeda-beda. Sebanyak 40 artikel surat kabar Belanda dan Belgia dijadikan korpus penelitian, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan aplikasi AntConc1 untuk meneliti opini media yang terdapat pada artikel tersebut. Hasil analisis korpus data menunjukan bahwa opini surat kabar Belanda cenderung lebih netral dibandingkan dengan surat kabar Belgia yang memuat berita mengenai kaum Muslim yang dikaitkan dengan organisasi IS pelaku pada peristiwa bom tersebut.

ABSTRACT
Bomb attack in Brussels on 22 March 2016 got a lot of attention on the internet and the mass media, print and electronic as well, with a variety of opinions. That incident became a trending topic in various newspapers, like local newspapers (De Morgen and De Standaard) from Belgium, and the Netherlands newspapers (De Volkskrant and NRC Handelsblad) with different opinions. A total of 40 articles of Netherlands and Belgium newspapers are used as the research corpus, which are analyzed by the application AntConc to examine the opinion of those media. The result shows that the Netherlands newspapers tend to be more objective and neutral than the newspapers of Belgium which has a discussion about Muslims which are associated with the IS organization."
