"ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap bagaimana relasi antara tokoh perempuan dan habitus korupsi dikonstruksi melalui alur cerita, latar sosial cerita, sudut pandang, metafor, ironi, tokoh dan penokohan dalam novel Laras karya Anggie D. Widowati dan novel 86 karya Okky Madasari. Lebih dalam, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membongkar bagaimana pengarang perempuan mengatasi jebakan pengukuhan stereotip perempuan yang bias gender. Ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggabungkan metode kajian habitus Pierre Bourdieu dan kajian produksi Sastra Pierre Macherey dalam paying perspektif feminis Lecut Balik Susan Faludi. Metode interogasi teks Macherey diaplikasikan dalam mengungkap penyusupan ideologi melalui kajian terhadap hal-hal yang tidak terkatakan unspoken , dihilangkan omission danbungkam silence dalam teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengarang perempuan telah gagal mengatasi jebakan pengukuhan stereoti peperempuan yang bias gender karena kedua teks telah secara tak sadar merepresentasikan posisi perempuan yang marjinal melalui penyusupan ideologi demonisasi kemiskinan dan perempuan yang mandiri dan berkuasa, overdeterminasi alasan korupsi, toleransi domestikasi perempuan dan poligami, dan perempuan sebagai pendorong korupsi dan penjahat yang sesungguhnya. Keterjebakan perempuan ini telah melecut balik perjuangan feminisme yang secara sepintas seolah menjadi kritik sosial kedua novel.

ABSTRACT
The goal of this research is to reveal how the relation between female characters and corruption habitus is constructed through the plot, social setting, point of view, metaphor, irony, character and characterization in Anggie D. Widowati rsquo s novel Laras and Okky Madasari rsquo s novel 86. Further, the goal of the research is to expose how female authors escape the trap of strengthening the biased gender stereotypes of women. This is a qualitative research by combining Pierre Bourdieu rsquo s Habitus Theory and Pierre Macherey rsquo s Theory of Literary Production in the light of Susan Faludi rsquo s Backlash perspective. Macherey rsquo s text interrogation method is applied in exposing the ideology infiltration through the analysis of the unspoken, omissions, and silences in the texts. The result of the research shows that Indonesian women authors have failed to escape from the trap of strengthening the biased gender stereotypes of women because both texts have unconsciously represented women rsquo s marginal positions through the infiltration of demonization ideology of poverty and independent and powerful women, overdetermination of corruption causes, toleration of woman domestication and polygamy, and representation of women as corruption triggers and real criminals. The very trap of women has backlashed the feminism struggles, which on the surface seem to constitute the social critiques of both novels. "

"Tesis ini membahas transformasi identitas agama yang dilakukan oleh tokoh utama di dalam novel Maryam karya Okky Madasari (2013). Identitas agama dalam novel Maryam yaitu: Ahmadiyah dan Islam (Islam pada umumnya). Pemaknaan identitas agama dalam oposisi biner identitas agama benar dan identitas agama sesat, oleh pemuka agama dan aparatus negara, menyebabkan terjadinya konflik identitas agama. Transformasi identitas agama sebagai strategi bertahan tokoh Maryam dalam konflik identitas agama tersebut, dianalisis dengan berbagai konsep identitas: Hall (1999), Gilroy (1999) dan Woodward (1999).

This thesis presents the transformation of religious identity performed by the main character in Okky Madasari?s work, Maryam (2013). Religious identities discussed in the novel namely: Ahmadiyah and Islam (Islam in general). Religious leaders and state apparatuses classify religious identities into righteous identity as opposed to deviant identity; such binary opposition leads to conflicts. Transformation of religious identity performed by Maryam as her strategy to survive in the conflicts is discussed with various identity concepts: Hall (1999), Gilroy (1999) and Woodward (1999).

"ABSTRAK
Tesis ini mengkaji novel berjudul Pasung Jiwa, sebuah novel fiksi yang ditulis oleh Okky Madasari. Pembahasan tesis menjawab permasalahan tubuh yang dijadikan sebagai instrumen untuk menegosiasikan kondisi yang merepresi dan membatasi kebebasan tubuh, pikiran, dan jiwa. Penelitian ini mengkaji empat tokoh, yaitu tokoh Sasana, Elis, Jaka dan Banua. Keempat tokoh diambil sebagai bahan kaji untuk melihat hasil penelitian negosiasi dengan menggunakan tubuh pada tokoh marginal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian gender dengan teori gender 1999 dan tubuh 2011 dari Butler serta konsep naratologi Bal 2009 yang mengidentifikasi memori, perspektif dan persepsi fokalisator digunakan untuk menganalisis strategi negosiasi tubuh dalam novel ini. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa strategi negosiasi keempat tokoh telah dipengaruhi oleh keinginan dan tujuan setiap tokoh. Tujuan negosiasi juga dipengaruhi oleh kondisi, latar tempat dan pihak yang terlibat dapat proses negosiasi. Hasil kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada keterkaitan antara pikiran dan jiwa yang dapat menjadikan dan memilih tubuh sebagai instrumen untuk menegosiasikan tubuh, pikiran, dan jiwa keempat tokoh.

ABSTRACT
This thesis analyzes Okky Madasari rsquo s fiction novel entitled Pasung Jiwa. It discusses the problem of body which serves as an instrument to negotiate conditions that oppress and limit body, mind, and soul rsquo s freedoms. This study examines four characters, Sasana, Elis, Jaka, dan Banua as study materials to see the result of their negotiations which use their body as an instrument. It uses gender perspective with gender theory 1999 and body concept 2011 from Judith Butler also narratology concept from Bal 2009 which helps to identify memory, perspective, and perception as types of focalization. This thesis shows that four characters negotiation rsquo s strategies have been inspired by needs and purposes of every character. Their goal achievement is also influenced by the conditions of the characters, setting of place, and the intervention of the dominant parties involved when negotiation process takes place. The research finds that there is connection between mind and soul which can shape and choose the body into an instrument to negotiate their body, mind, and soul rsquo s freedom. "

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penerjemahan kata umpatan dalam novel Pasung Jiwa yang telah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Jerman dengan judul Gebunden. Pembahasan penelitian ini adalah pergeseran dalam terjemahan, yaitu pergeseran bentuk dan makna. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga membahas kecenderungan penerjemahan mengenai orientasinya pada bahasa sumber atau pada bahasa sasaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hampir seluruh kata umpatan yang telah diterjemahkan mengalami pergeseran pada tiap penerjemahannya, baik itu pergeseran bentuk maupun pergeseran makna. Penerjemahan kata umpatan lebih cenderung berorientasi pada bahasa sasaran agar dapat dipahami baik oleh pembaca dari bahasa sasaran.

This research attemps to explain the translation of swear words found in novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari which is translated into german with the title Gabunden. The focus discussion of this research is the shifts in translation, namely the shift of meaning in translation and the shift of form in translation. Besides, this research also attempts to explain the tendency of translator about their orientation of translation to the source language or to the target language. This research applies the qualitative method in form of literature study. The result shows that the translated swear words mostly have more than two shifts of translation. The translation of swear words tends to be more target language oriented in order to be well understood by readers of the target language."

"Novel Pasung Jiwa membahas tokoh utama seorang waria bernama Sasana yang mendapat beragam perlakuan dari masyarakat di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan citra waria dalam Novel Pasung Jiwa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskripsi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Sasana digambarkan sebagai waria yang mengalami penolakan dan penerimaan. Sasana menampilkan citra waria yang positif. Akan tetapi, sikap penolakan dari tokoh lain dan masyarakat dalam Pasung Jiwa terhadap Sasana menimbulkan citra kurang baik terhadap tokoh Sasana sebagai waria.

The main character of Pasung Jiwa is a transvestite who gets a variety of treatment from the society. This study explains the image of transvestites in Pasung Jiwa novel. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis. The results from this study shows that Sasana as transvestite gets rejection and acceptance. Sasana character shows a positive image of transvestites. However, rejection from other character and society to Sasana causes poor image to Sasana?s figure as transvestite."

"Sebagai salah satu unsur yang membangun cerita pada karya sastra anak, tokoh melakukan berbagai tindakan. Sama halnya dengan manusia, motif tindakan tokoh dipengaruhi oleh aspek psikologis atau kejiwaannya, baik secara sadar, prasadar, maupun tidak sadar. Berkaitan dengan penelitian ini, peneliti memfokuskan bahasan terhadap motif tidak sadar tindakan melarikan diri tokoh Matara yang ada di dalam Mata dan Rahasia Pulau Gapi  atau MDRPG (2018) karya Okky Madasari. MDRPG menceritakan seorang tokoh bernama Matara yang berusaha menjaga benteng tua di Pulau Gapi. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud, terutama id, ego, dan superego. Penelitian dilakukan untuk menelaah motif tidak sadar tindakan melarikan diri tokoh Matara. Sebagai kesimpulan, penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan motif tidak sadar kedua tindakan melarikan diri Matara yang dilatari oleh instansi psikis id, ego, dan superego. Motif tidak sadar tindakan melarikan diri pertama adalah adanya dorongan instansi psikis id untuk memenuhi kepuasan rasa senang pada diri Matara dengan cara memunculkan rasa kebosanan. Selain itu, ego mengaktifkan mekanisme pertahanan represi, pengalihan, dan fiksasi. Juga, superego menilai bahwa Matara mendapatkan hukuman (punishment) tanpa pernah mendapatkan penghargaan (reward) atas usaha-usaha yang dilakukannya. Sementara itu, motif tidak sadar melarikan diri kedua adalah id dan ego menilai bahwa eksistensi ayah memiliki peranan yang penting. Dalam hal itu, ego mengaktifkan juga mekanisme pertahanan represi dan pembentukan reaksi.

As one of the intrinsic element that builds stories in children's literature, the character takes various actions. As well as human, the motive of the character's actions are influenced by psychological aspects of preconscious, conscious, and unconscious. In this research, the researcher focuses the discussion on the unconscious psychological motive of Matara`s flee action in Okky Madasari`s Mata dan Rahasia Pulau Gapi or MDRPG (2018). MDRPG tells of a character named Matara who tried to protect the old fort on Gapi Island. This qualitative research uses the approach of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis theory, especially on the id, ego, and superego. The study was conducted to examine the unconscious psychological motive of the Matara`s flee action. As the conclusion, this research resulted the discovery of the unconscious motive of two Matara`s flee actions which were based on the id, ego, and superego. The unconscious motive of the first act was the encouragement of the psychic aspect of the id to fulfill the satisfaction of Matara`s pleasure by giving rise to a feeling of boredom. In addition, the ego activates the defense mechanisms of repression, displacement, and fixation. Also, the superego considered that Matara received punishment without ever being rewarded for her efforts. Meanwhile, the unconscious motive of the second act is the id and ego assesses that the existence of her father has an important role. In that case, the ego also activates the defense mechanism of repression and reaction formation."

"Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian masalah penerjemahan yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerjemahan kata budaya dari novel Entrok ke dalam The Years of the Voiceless 2013. Penelitian dilakukan melalui ancangan kualitatif dan ancangan fungsional dengan model kausal komparatif yang diusulkan oleh Williams dan Chesterman untuk melihat prosedur penerjemahan kata budaya yang diterapkan penerjemah dalam mencapai skopos. Berdasarkan kategori kata budaya Newmark, peneliti ini mengidentifikasi 80 kata budaya yang dianggap representatif, meliputi kategori budaya materiel; kategori budaya sosial dan hiburan; dan kategori organisasi, adat, prosedur, aktivitas, dan konsep. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelitian perpustakaan dan wawancara dengan penerjemah. Setelah dikumpulkan, data itu dianalisis melalui teknik analisis kausal komparatif, yaitu dengan membandingkan kata budaya dalam TSu dan terjemahannya dalam TSa dan menganalisis prosedur penerjemahan yang diterapkan penerjemah untuk memenuhi skopos.
Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan empat masalah penerjemahan, yaitu 1 konsep dan referen dalam BSu tidak ditemukan di dalam BSa, 2 referen dan konsep BSu tidak dileksikalkan di dalam BSa, 3 BSa kekurangan kata spesifik dalam BSu, 4 adanya perbedaan perspektif antara BSu dan BSa dalam melihat referen yang sama. Untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah penerjemahan itu, penerjemah menerapkan 9 prosedur penerjemahan yang meliputi eksplisitasi, generalisasi, harfiah, kalki, kuplet transferensi dan catatan kaki, transposisi dan padanan budaya, transposisi dan padanan deskriptif, padanan budaya, padanan deskriptif, padanan fungsional, dan transferensi. TSa memenuhi skoposnya melalui prosedur penerjemahan yang diterapkan dengan mempertimbangkan konteks. Berdasarkan ulasan pembaca, TSa dianggap berhasil mempertahankan gaya bahasa penulis dan memberikan nuansa budaya TSu. Pemberian penjelasan tambahan pada catatan kaki membantu pembaca memahami makna kata budaya TSu tetapi mengurangi kenyamanan dalam membaca.

This research on translation problems aims to describe the translation of cultural words from Entrok novel into The Years of the Voiceless 2013. This research was conducted through qualitative and functional approaches and was analyzed by using Williams and Chesterman's causal comparative model to see the translation procedures applied to fulfill the skopos. Based on Newmark's cultural words category, the researcher identified 80 cultural words that were categorized into 1 material culture 2 social culture and leisure and 3 organization, customs, procedure, activity, and concept. The data were collected through library research and interview with the translator. The research then used the causal comparative technique to compare the source text's cultural words with its translation and to analyze the translation procedures chosen by the translator to fulfill the skopos of TT.
There are four translation problems found in this research and they are 1 a reference and concept in SL having no reference and concept in TL, 2 a reference and a concept in SL not lexicalized in TL, 3 TL lacking of specific words, and 4 different perspective between SL and TL in viewing a reference. To deal with those translation problems, there are 9 procedures applied by the translator that include explicitation, generalization, literal, calque, couplet transference and footnote, transposition and cultural equivalent, transposition and functional equivalent, cultural equivalent, descriptive equivalent, functional equivalent, and transference. TT fulfills its skopos through the translation procedures applied by considering the ST's context. According to the review of TT readers, TT is considered succeed to maintain the writer's language of style and give the nuance of ST's culture. The footnote also helps TT readers to understand ST cultural words but minimizes readers'comfort in reading.

"[ABSTRAK
Tesis ini membahas pengaruh kuasa wacana terhadap pilihan bebas tokoh Sasana
dalam proses pembentukan eksistensi diri. Dengan menggunakan teori kuasa
wacana Foucault, analisis menunjukkan bahwa kehidupan Sasana tidak pernah
lepas dari kuasa wacana yang mengonstruksi pemikiran dan tindakannya. Ia
mendefinisikan diri berhadapan dengan wacana yang mengharuskannya membuat
pilihan dalam menentukan jalan hidupnya. Dengan menggunakan teori
eksistensialisme Sartre, analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses pendefinisian
tersebut, ia memperjuangkan pilihan bebasnya dengan cara bernegosiasi dengan
wacana. Ia dapat memilih untuk patuh terhadap kekuasaan tersebut atau tidak
patuh dan melakukan hal yang berlawanan dengan wacana kuasa. Kesadaran
Sasana sendiri yang memutuskan untuk memberikan atau tidak memberikan
otoritas kepada wacana untuk menguasai dirinya, karena proses pendefinisian diri
sepenuhnya adalah keputusan dari pilihan bebas Sasana. Hasil analisis
menunjukkan bahwa kuasa wacana yang terrepresentasikan dalam pandangan
orang lain memberi pengaruh dalam pembentukan eksistensi diri Sasana ketika ia
tidak setia pada pilihan bebasnya dan menolak untuk bertanggungjawab atas
pilihan tersebut. Sebaliknya, Sasana terbebas dari pengaruh wacana ketika ia setia
pada eksistensi diri yang telah ditetapkannya dan bertanggungjawab terhadap
segala konsekuensi dari pilihan bebas tersebut.

ABSTRACT
This Thesis analysis the influence of discourse toward the free will of Sasana in
constructing self Existence process. By using Foucault?s theory of the power of
discourse, the analysis shows that Sasana?s life is never liberated from the power
of discourse that constructing his way of think and his way of act. He defines
himself toward the discourse that requires him to make choice in determining his
way. By using Sartre?s theory of existentialism, the analysis shows that in that
process, he struggle for his free will in the manner of negotiating with the
discourse. He can chooses to be obedient to the power or not and does the thing
that is opposite with the discourse. It is Sasana?s consciousness which eventually
decides to give or not to give the discourse an authority to take control of himself,
because the total self-defining process is the decision of such free will. It can be
concluded that the power of discourse which is represented by the look of other
influences Sasana?s way of constructing his self existence, when he is not faithful
to his free will and refuses to be responsible for it. On the contrary, Sasana is freed
from the discourse?s influence when he is faithful to his determined self existence
and responsible for all consequences from those free will.;This Thesis analysis the influence of discourse toward the free will of Sasana in

"Makanan merupakan kebutuhan pokok yang penting bagi manusia. Persoalan mengenai makanan
sering kali digambarkan dalam karya sastra. Indonesia sebagai surga kuliner memiliki berbagai
macam makanan, sedangkan sastra sebagai media dapat dijadikan wahana untuk
memperkenalkan berbagai kuliner Nusantara. Penelitian ini menganalisis novel Rahasia Salinem
karya Brilliant Yotenega dan Wisnu Suryaning Adji menggunakan ancangan kualitatif yang
diimplementasikan dengan metode kajian pustaka. Dalam penelitian ini, makanan dalam karya
sastra tidak hanya digunakan sebagai objek suatu cerita. Akan tetapi, karya sastra dan makanan
memiliki hubungan yang bersifat material dan fiskal serta sosial dan kultural. Masalah yang akan
diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana makanan menjadi unsur penting yang
mengungkapkan rahasia tokoh dalam novel Rahasia Salinem. Terkait dengan hal tersebut,
penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana makanan, khususnya pecel dapat
mengungkapkan rahasia tokoh Salinem mengunakan perspektif gastrocriticism. Perspektif
gastrocriticism digunakan untuk memperlihatkan identitas tokoh dalam novel dan sebagai upaya
untuk melestarikan kuliner Nusantara. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan empat konsep
perspektif gastrocritism, yaitu (1) makanan dan kesenangan, (2) makanan dan seni (bricolage),
(3) makanan dan nama, dan (4) makanan dan sejarah. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberi
kontribusi bagi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, khususnya sosiologi sastra dan dalam bidang
budaya sebagai upaya untuk memperkenalkan dan melestarikan kuliner lokal melalui karya
sastra.

Food is mandatory for humans. Matters about food is frequently mentioned in literature works. Indonesia as a culinary paradise has many food, and literature as a media is oftenly used to introduce them. This research is a qualitative research which analyze the novel Rahasia Salinem
by Brilliant Yotenega and Wisnu Suryaning Adji using literature review. In this research, food in
literature work is not only an object to tell stories. But food and literature work has a material, physical, social, and cultural connection. This research answer the question to how food becomes an important element in Rahasia Salinem. The purpose of this research is to explain how food (especially pecel) can be used to reveal the secret of Salinem's character using the perspective of gastrocriticism. The perspective of gastrocriticism is used to depict the identity of the character in the novel and as an attempt to preserve Indonesian culinary. Results shows the four concept of gastrocriticism's perspective, which is (1) food and happiness, (2) food and art (bricolage), (3) food and name, and (4) food and history. This research contributes to the development of science, particularly in sociology of literature and in cultural field as an attempt to introduce and preserve local culinary through literature work.

"Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan subjektivitas perempuan dalam novel Tempurung karya Oka Rusmini dengan memaparkan tampilan subjektivitas perempuan dalam bentuk deskripsi fisik, perilaku dan pandangan tokoh-tokoh perempuan serta persepsi tokoh utama terhadap tubuh dan otonomi dalam pembentukan subjektivitasnya. Dalam bahasan saya menggunakan pendekatan kritik sastra dengan perspektif feminis.
Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam Tempurung memersepsi tubuhnya sebagai bagian penting subjektivitasnya. Selain itu, subjektivitas perempuan bukanlah proyek perempuan itu sendiri melainkan suatu bentuk dialog dengan elemen-elemen lain, termasuk diantaranya adalah hubungannya dengan suaminya, anaknya, tubuhnya dan konstruk sosial budaya yang melingkupinya.
Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Oka Rusmini melakukan perlawanan terhadap gagasan subjektivitas dalam pemikiran konvensional/tradisional dengan merepresentasikan narasi tentang subjektivitas perempuan yang tidak mengabaikan tubuh, tidak individual, tidak selalu rasional, tidak tunduk pada gagasan `universal` tentang subjek dan tidak selesai.

This thesis aims to explain woman subjectivity reflected in Tempurung novel by Oka Rusmini by describing female subjectivity in the form of physical description, behavior and views of women characters as well as main character perception toward body and autonomy in the formation of female subjectivity. In discussion I use feminist literary criticism approach.
This study reveals that woman characters in Tempurung perceiving her body as a significant part of her subjectivity. Furthermore, woman subjectivity isn`t her own project but a form of dialogue with other elements including her relationship with husband, children, body and social culture construction which surrounding her.
The conclusion of this study is Oka Rusmini makes resistance to the notion of subjectivity on conventional/traditional thought by representing narrative of woman subjectivity which doesn`t neglect body, doesn`t individual, doesn`t always rational, doesn`t subject to `universal` notion of subject and doesn`t finish.
