"Kondisi Jepang yang sedang mengalami stagnansi ekonomi, dan kekurangan tenaga kerja produktif, mendorong pemerintah untuk mengeluarkan strategi ekonomi dengan tujuan untuk memecahkan kedua masalah tersebut. Strategi ini disebut dengan Womenomics, berpusat kepada usaha pemerintah memfasilitasi potensi terpendam para  perempuan Jepang agar dapat lebih aktif dalam dunia kerja tanpa harus memilih antara pekerjaan atau keluarga. Meskipun demikian, ternyata strategi ini memunculkan masalah-masalah baru. Salah satunya adalah kasus maternity harassment yang terjadi di lingkungan kerja Jepang.
Digunakan empat media massa online dalam penelitian ini, yang merupakan bagian dari dua portal media besar Jepang yaitu Yomiuri Grup dan Nikkei Grup. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif konten analisis dan purposeful sampling untuk membatasi artikel yang digunakan berfokus kepada kualitas bukan kuantitas artikel. Teori yang digunakan adalah analisis framing media oleh Entman untuk menganalisis isi berita terkait isu tersebut, dan teori dicipline and punish untuk membantu menjelaskan munculnya fenomena maternity harassment dalam perusahaan Jepang.
Dalam penelitian ditemukan keempat portal media menunjukkan peran kolaboratif dan fasilitatif dalam menyampaikan artikelnya. Media membingkai (framing) bahwa terdapat jarak antara implementasi regulasi dengan keadaan dalam perusahaan. Media membingkai bahwa iklim perusahaan Jepang menggunakan kehamilan sebagai push factor perempuan agar keluar dari perusahaan.

The condition of Japan's stagnan economic, and the lack number of productive workforce, has prompted the government to issue an economic strategy with the aim to solving these two major problems. This strategy is called Womenomics, centered on the government's efforts to facilitate the hidden potential of Japanese women to be more active in the bread workforce without having to choose between work or family. However, it turns out this strategy raises new problems. One of those problem is the case of maternity harassment that occurs in the Japanese work environment.
Four online mass media were used in this research, which are part of two major Japanese media portals Yomiuri Group and Nikkei Group. This research used qualitative content analysis and purposeful sampling method to limit the focus on quality not quantity of the articles. This research used analysis of media framing model by Entman to analyse the news content related to the issue, and the theory of discipline and punish by Foucault to help explain the emergence of the phenomenon of maternity harassment in Japanese companies.
This research found the media articles show collaborative and facilitative role in spreading maternity harassment issue. The media frame there are gap in the interaction between the government strategies implementation, companies, and female workers. Media also frame that Japanese corporate culture used pregnancy as a push factor to force women to leave their career."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang berbagai bentuk ketidaksetaraan gender di Jepang dengan fokus utama adalah matahara atau maternity harassment yang terjadi di lingkungan kerja Jepang. Penulis menggunakan teori feminisme radikal untuk menganalisa bagaimana budaya masyarakat Jepang terkait dengan matahara. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem patriarki dalam masyarakat Jepang bukan menjadi pemicu utama terjadinya matahara, tetapi faktor ekonomi lah yang menjadi faktor utama terjadinya matahara di perusahaan Jepang. Matahara dan ekonomi saling berhubungan karena matahara menyebabkan penurunan populasi dan menurunnya populasi menyebabkan ekonomi Jepang dalam kondisi stagnan.

This undergraduate thesis examines about forms of gender inequality in Japan and focusing on matahara or maternity harassment that happens on Japanese work environment. The writer uses radical feminism theories to analyze how Japanese culture relates with maternity harassment. The analysis shows that patriarchy in Japanese society is not the main cause of maternity harassment. It is economic factor which becomes the main factor of maternity harassment in Japanese companies. Maternity harassment and economy corresponds to each other because maternity harassment causes the declining of youth population and this declining population causes Japan economy stuck in a stagnant condition.

"[ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini berfokus pada dampak perubahan makna ?bekerja? di masyarakat Jepang, yaitu fenomena penyebutan black company. Makna bekerja di masyarakat Jepang telah berubah dalam beberapa dekade terakhir. Pekerja yang semula akan bekerja keras demi perusahaannya, kini pekerja generasi muda lebih memilih untuk memiliki pekerjaan dengan banyak waktu luang. Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penyebutan black company yang diberikan oleh masyarakat Jepang dan bagaimana perubahan makna bekerja di Jepang. Data yang diperoleh merupakan data sekunder dari penelitian kepustakaan serta pengumpulan data dari sumber-sumber publikasi lainnya. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode penyajian analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan penelitian dan analisis yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa makna bekerja bagi pemuda telah berubah. Pemuda Jepang tidak dapat membawa keseluruhan dirinya untuk pekerjaan dan tempat kerja. Pekerja paruh waktu tidak dapat mencocokkan pekerjaan dengan tujuan hidupnya. Kekhawatiran yang dirasakan, menyebabkan para pekerja paruh waktu mudah putus asa dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan. Salah satu dampak perubahan makna bekerja, yaitu munculnya penyebutan black company. Black company itu sendiri merupakan asumsi yang diciptakan oleh kelompok masyarakat dan media massa. Pemerintah berupaya untuk memberikan sanksi kepada perusahaan yang melakukan tindakan ?pelanggaran,? seperti black company.

ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the impact of changes in the meaning of "work" in Japanese society, namely the phenomenon of the black company mention. Meaning of work in Japanese society has changed in recent decades. Workers were previously would worked hard for his company, now the younger generation of workers prefer to have a job with a lot of free time. The problem studied in this research is how the mention of the black company given by the Japanese society and how it changes the meaning of work in Japan. The data obtained is a secondary data from the research literature as well as collecting data from sources other publications. The analytical method used is the method of presentation of descriptive analysis. Based on the research and analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the meaning of work for youth has changed. Japanese youth can not bring overall himself to work and the workplace. Part-time workers are not able to match jobs with the goal of his life. Concerns were perceived, causing part-time workers easy to desperate in getting a job. "Penelitian ini berfokus kepada perubahan peran ayah dalam masyarakat Jepang modern dikarenakan adanya perubahan sosial yang terjadi dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Perubahan sosial juga terjadi pada peran dan identitas ayah di Jepang dimana saat ini muncul ayah yang menikmati merawat anak sambil bekerja yang disebut dengan ikumen. penyebutan ikumen sendiri dibuat oleh media dan kemudian didukung oleh pemerintah. Tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya ikumen mendapatkan hambatan dari perusahaan dan orang-orang sekitar yang masih menganut sistem patriarki di Jepang dimana mereka masih memiliki pandangan bahwa laki-laki bertugas mencari nafkah dan tidak memiliki hubungan dengan mengurus anak.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bagaimana perubahan peran dan identitas ayah di Jepang dengan menggunakan teori perubahan sosial yang digagas oleh Anthony Giddens. Tesis ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan wawancara langsung dengan ikumen yang tergabung dalam NPO Fathering Japan. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa saat ini sudah banyak ayah yang memiliki keinginan untuk merawat anak atau paternal leave di Jepang meningkat.

This research focuses on the changes of father?s role within Japanese modern society due to social changes that happen in the life of people. Social changes also happen in the role and identity of father in Japan where it has now appear the type of father who enjoys caring for children while working which is called ikumen. The term of ikumen itself was made by media, and then in was supported by government. However, within is implementation, ikumen gets hindrance from companies and people who still embrance the patriarch system in Japan where they still hold the view that men are tasked to be breadwinners and have nothing to do with bringing up children.
The purpose of this research is to analyse to changes of father?s role and identity in Japan using social change theory by Anthony Giddens. This research used qualitative method and directly interviewed ikumen who are members of NPO Fathering Japan. It finds that right now there have been many fathers who have the desire to put family first. It is proven by amount of fathers who have taken paternity leave in Japan.

"Stress kerja merupakan masalah yang paling umum dialami oleh petugas kepolisian. Polisi tidak hanya bertindak sebagai penegak hukum namun juga pelayan sosial, agen perubahan dan pelindung hak dan tugas dari masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sumber stres anggota intel dan cara mengelola stres.Manajemen stres yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah strategi coping oleh Lazarus dan Folkman yang terdiri dari problem-focused coping dan emotional-focused coping. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian gabungan dengan rancangan sekuensial eksploratoris. Peneliti menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 30 anggota intelkam untuk mendapatkan data awal terkait sumber stres anggota. Setelah itu melakukan wawancara dan observasi terhadap beberapa anggota.Observasi dilaksanakan dengan mengamati perilaku anggota selama bekerja. Hasil yang ditemukan adalah sebagian besar anggota intelkam merasa sumber stres mereka berasal dari stres kerja dan stres organisasi.Stres kerja terdiri dari beban kerja, tugas yang menantang, promosi dan kondisi keuangan. Sedangkan stres organisasi terdiri dari tidak dilibatkannya anggota dalam pembuatan keputusan, kurangnya perhatian pimpinan, struktur organisasi yang tidak sesuai dan sarana prasarana yang tidak memadai. Anggota merasa tertekan dengan perintah pimpinan yang memberikan beban kerja yang berlebihan sehingga meningkatkan stres kerja yang berdampak pada penurunan kinerja mereka. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari anggota menjadi malas, ketidakhadiran anggota dan pekerjaan yang terbengkalai. Sebagian besar anggota memilih untuk mengelola stres dengan cara sharing dengan orang yang dipercaya, berdoa, rekreasi, olahraga dan manajemen waktu. Peran pimpinan juga penting dalam mengelola stres anggota yaitu dengan melakukan pendekatan secara kekeluargaan.

Work stress is the most common problem which experienced by police. Police work is not only to enforce the law but also to serve and protect society. The aim of this research are to know police stressors and stress management. This research use stress management especially coping mechanism from Lazarus and Folkman which is consist of problem focused coping and emotion focused coping. Mixed method with exploratory sequential design is the research method used in this study. First, researcher distributed questionnaires to the 30 intelligence police so researcher get the initial data of the stressors. Then,Some of police officers were interviewed and observed. Observation was done by observing police officers behaviour while they were working. The result shown that almost of officers experienced job related stressors and organization related stressors. Job related stressors consider of too many task to perform, challenging assignments, promotion and condition that affect workers rsquo economic well being. Organization related stressors consist of not involved in decision making,lack of leader attention,inappropriate organizational structure and inadequate infrastructure. The officers feel depressed because the leader provide a lot of work and it causes the raise of job stress which impact to the decrease of their performance. It can be seen from members who become lazy to work, absenteeism, and neglected work. Most of the officers choose to manage their stress in a way of sharing with trusted person, praying, recreation, doing exercises and time management. However, the effort of organisation to manage police stress is really important such as provide adequate facilities, attention of the leader, and sabbathical day. "

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat pelecehan seksual yang terjadi
di empat industri berbeda yaitu industri garmen, sepatu, makanan, dan tekstil serta
untuk mengetahui bagaimana perbedaan dari pelecehan seksual di empat industri
berbeda tersebut. Pengukuran pelecehan seksual dalam penelitian ini
menggunakan definisi operasional oleh APINDO (2012) dengan mengembangkan
kuesioner Sexual Experiences Questionnaire (SEQ) form W dari Fitzgerald et al
(1995) yang terbagi kedalam 5 dimensi; pelecehan lisan, pelecehan isyarat,
pelecehan fisik, pelecehan visual, dan pelecehan psikologis. Setiap butir
pertanyaan dalam dimensi tersebut dibagi dua yaitu pelecehan yang dilakukan
oleh rekan kerja laki-laki dan pelecehan yang dilakukan oleh supervisor laki-laki.
Kemudian metode analisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan akan pelecehan seksual
pada dimensi pelecehan lisan, pelecehan isyarat, dan pelecehan fisik di keempat
industri yaitu di industri gamen, sepatu, makanan, dan tekstil. Dapat disimpulkan
bahwa pelecehan seksual yang ada pada keempat industri masih dalam taraf
rendah, akan tetapi melalui wawancara dan komentar responden didapatkan
tindakan pelecehan seksual di tempat kerja banyak terjadi, sehingga masih perlu
adanya upaya yang berarti agar tindak pelecehan seksual dapat diminimalisir dan
dihilangkan di tempat kerja.

ABSTRACT
This research was conducted to determine the level of harassment abuse that
occurred in four different industries are garment, footwear, food, and textiles
industry and to investigate how differences of sexual abuse in four distinct
industries. Measuring sexual harassment in this study uses an operational
definition by APINDO (2012) developed a questionnaire from Sexual Experiences
Questionnaire (SEQ) form W of Fitzgerald et al (1995) which is divided into five
dimensions; verbal harassment, non-verbal harassment, physical harassment,
visual harassment, and psychological harassment. Every item question in the
questionnaire is divided into two dimensions which are harassment by male
coworkers and harassment by male supervisors. Then the method of analysis
using descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are
significant differences in the dimensions of sexual harassment that are verbal
abuse, non-verbal harassment, and physical abuse in the four industries, namely in
the industry garment, footwear, food, and textiles. It is concluded that sexual
harassment in the four industry is still in a low level, but through interviews and
comments of respondents found sexual harassment in the workplace a lot going
on, so it still needs a significant effort that sexual harassment can be minimized
and eliminated in the workplace ."

"Dalam sebuah persaingan bisnis intemasional diperlukan adanya strategi khusus dalam menghadapi para kompetitor. Terutama bila sebuah perusahaan masih berperan sebagai perusahaan pengikut yang harus terus mengejar pemlmpin pasar untuk peningkatan usaha. Salah satu ciri dari perusahaan pengikut adalah rendahnya finasial yang dlmiliki, serta kecilnya pangsa pasar mereka.
Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, perusahaan Jepang yang pernah mengalami kehancuran tepatnya setelah Perang Dunla II melakukan strategi bersaing untuk merebut pangsa pasar, dan salah satunya adalah strategi yokonarabi.
Strategi ini adalah strategi meniru produk dan teknologi milik pemimpin pasar, yaitu perusahaan-perusahaan dari negara Barat, untuk kemudian produk dan teknologl tersebut terus dikembangkan secara bertahap menjadi produk yang lebih unggul dari produk yang ditiru.
Strategi ini sesuai dengan karakter perusahaan Jepang, ditinjau dari kebudayaan, sejarah, dan agama bangsa, serta sistem ekonomi dan industri Jepang dimulai sejak Restorasi Meiji. Pada akhirnya strategi ini merupakan salah satu strategi yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan perindustrran dan perekonomian Jepang dengan sangat pesat, khususnya pada tahun 1970an.

In today global business competition, every company should has their best strategy to deal with competitors, especially when they perform as follower in the market share, that they must have strong competitive advantage compare to their market leader.
One characteristic of a follower is lack of finance and market share. Therefore when many Japanese companies suffered after the loss in World War II, they applied many competition strategies to achieve more market share in the international business, one of these strategies called yokonarabi strategy.
Yokonarabi strategy is an action to copy or imitate competitor's products and technologies, especially competitors from West countries. Then, the Japanese develop continuously their tmltation product into new high technology products, which much more advance than products that they copied.
This strategy is actually has an equal character with Japanese company's characteristic, related to the nation's culture, history, and religion, along with their modern economic and industrial system, which has began since Meiji Restoration. As the result, this strategy has helped Japan to increase their industrial and economic growth, especrany in 1970's.

Salah satu bentuk penghargaan orang Jepang terhadap alam adalah dengan adanya tradisi dan kebiasaan yang berkaitan dengan alam, salah satunya ialah kebiasaan menikmati mekarnya bunga sakura atau yang dikenal dengan hanami yang dilakukan setiap musim semi. Dalam kebiasaan ini bunga sakura dijadikan sebagai objek karena memiliki arti yang khusus bagi orang Jepang yang didukung dengan adanya sakura zensen atau ramalan mengenai mekarnya sakura di seluruh negeri. Oleh karena itu, tugas akhir ini membahas mengenai kebiasaan hanami yang merupakan wujud dari naturalisme Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis dengan tinjauan pustaka dari berbagai sumber. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan teori naturalisme oleh Nakamura Hajime untuk dapat menganalisis sumber-sumber yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang Jepang sangat memperhatikan secara detil segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan alam, salah satunya adalah dengan adanya sakura zensen yang secara tidak langsung sebagai daya tarik bagi masyarakat untuk melakukan hanami.

ABSTRACT
Japanese people are known as their respects and loves towards nature. One form of Japanese peoples appreciation for nature is the existence of tradition and custom related to nature, one of which is the custom of enjoying the blooming of cherry blossoms or known as hanami, which is done every spring. In this custom, cherry blossoms is used as an objects because they have special meanings for Japanese people who are supported by the presence of sakura zensen or known as predictions about the blooming of cherry blossoms throughout the country. Therefore, this paper discusses the hanami custom which is a form of Japanese naturalism. This paper uses descriptive analytical methods with literature reviews from various sources. In this paper Nakamura Hajimes naturalism theory was used to analyze the sources used. The results of the study showed that Japanese people were very concerned about everything related to nature, one of which was the presence of sakura zensen which indirectly served as an attraction for the people to do hanami."

"Skripsi ini membahas bagaimana konsumerisme yang menyebar melalui media informasi dan komunikasi menjadi faktor penarik terjadinya fenomena enjokousai dalam masyarakat Jepang kontemporer. Karya tulis ini disusun menggunakan teori konsumerisme, masyarakat konsumsi, perilaku konsumsi, serta globalisasi sebagai landasan pemikiran. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain argumentatif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa konsumerisme muncul bersamaan dengan pembentukan Jepang sebagai masyarakat konsumsi sebagai dampak globalisasi ekonomi. Pada akhirnya, konsumerisme tersebut menyebar luas dalam masyarakat dan benar telah mempengaruhi para remaja putri terjun dalam praktik enjokousai.

The focus of this study is how consumerism that has spread through the information and communication media became a pull factor for the rising of the phenomenon of enjokousai in contemporary Japanese society. This research is qualitative argumentative interpretative. This study proved that consumerism coincides with the rise of Japan as a consumer society as the impact of economic globalization. In the end, consumerism are widespread in the society and with no doubt has influenced the girls engaged in the practice of enjokousai."

"ABSTRAK
Bangsa Jepang dikenal sebagai bangsa yang amat mencintai alamnya, meskipun di Jepang sering terjadi bencana alam. Bukti kecintaannya ini dituangkan dalam tulisan. Salah satunya surat. Dalam penulisan surat bangsa Jepang mempunyai keistimewaan yaitu menuliskan salam pembuka yang mengandung kata-kata yang bernuansa alam dan fenomenanya. Dalam penelitian ini, kata-kata yang bemuansa alam tersebut dianalisis dengan konsep ikeru shizen yang dikemukakan oleh Watsuji Tetsuro dalam bukunya Fuudo. Analisis ini berkaitan dengan pemikiran-pemikiran Watsuji mengenai alam Jepang. Dari penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa dari data yang ada, terdapat kata-kata yang bemuansa alam, yang menggambarkan Iingkungan alam dan fenomenanya atau juga Iingkungan alam beserta isinya. Di balik kata-kata yang bermuatan alam tersebut, terdapat pemikiran-pemikiran orang Jepang terhadap alam dan fenomenanya yang terjadi. Dalam hal ini terlihat bahwa orang Jepang beradaptasi dengan bail( terhadap alam dan segala fenomenanya. Orang Jepang sama sekali tidak berniat menguasai Iingkungan alamnya, dan juga tidak berniat melawan bahkan mencegah sekali pun fenomena alam yang terjadi. Karena menurut konsep ikeru shizen ini, bahwa kedudukan antara manusia dengan alamnya adalah sama. Alam Jepang dan semua fenomenanya memberikan andil yang positif bagi keberlangsungan hidup orang Jepang."
