"Adanya pandemi COVID-19 menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan bagi banyak pihak, salah satunya UMKM Dua A yang berjuang untuk mempertahankan bisnisnya di tengah situasi yang serba dibatasi. Dimulai dengan upaya melakukan penjualan secara online, ternyata Dua A menghadapi kendala dimana sejumlah pelanggan mengeluh bahwa mereka menerima produk dalam keadaan yang rusak. Tidak hanya itu, adanya COVID-19 juga menimbulkan masalah penumpukan sampah akibat meningkatnya perilaku belanja online. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai perancangan ulang desain kemasan makanan ringan kerupuk, terutama bagi produk UMKM Dua A, agar lebih kuat, ramah lingkungan, dan juga menarik bagi pelanggan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Kansei Engineering dan Fuzzy Quality Function Deployment for Environment untuk menciptakan solusi yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dari pihak pelanggan serta perusahaan. Dari penelitian ini, didapatkan bahwa rekomendasi kemasan yang dapat digunakan oleh UMKM Dua A adalah kemasan berbentuk kotak, terbuat dari cardboard, dan memiliki cushioning pada bagian dalam.

The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused various problems for many parties, one of which is Dua A, a MSME who are struggling to maintain their business amid the chaotic situation. Starting with an effort to make their sales through online platform, it turns out that Dua A faces a problem where several customers complain that they receive damaged products. Not only that, the presence of COVID-19 has also caused the problem of accumulation of waste due to increased online shopping behavior. Therefore, in this study, we will discuss the redesign of the packaging of cracker snacks, especially for Dua A’s products, so that they are stronger, more environmentally friendly, and more attractive to customers. This research was conducted using the Kansei Engineering and Fuzzy Quality Function Deployment for Environment approach to create solutions that can meet the needs of customers and companies. From this study, it was found that the packaging recommendations that can be used by Dua A are box-shaped packaging, made of cardboard, and have cushioning on the inside."

"UKM memiliki potensi yang besar sebagai pilar perekonomian bangsa. Namun bersamaan dengan hal tersebut, terdapat berbagai masalah yang menghambat perkembanganya, diantaranya adalah buruknya kemasan produk UKM tersebut. Kemasan produk-produk UKM yang ada kini dianggap buruk, kotor dan tidak menarik. Permasalahan kemasan inilah yang merupakan salah satu faktor mengapa konsumen kurang tertarik untuk membeli dan kalahnya produk UKM dalam bersaing dengan produk lainnya.
Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana desain kemasan produk UKM yang berkualitas dan lebih menarik bagi konsumen. Sebagai sebuah pilot project, penelitian ini akan memfokuskan pada studi kasus kemasan produk makanan olahan yang berada pada UKM kota Depok. Metode Kansei Engineering digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk memformulasikan rancangan kemasan produk yang baru.
Dalam penelitian ini diketahui bahwa terdapat 4 komponen yang merepresentasikan keinginan konsumen, yaitu Attractiveness, Robustness, Handy&Green, dan Lightness. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah terbentuknya 4 usulan rancangan baru untuk kemasan produk makanan olahan yang memenuhi masing-masing komponen tersebut. Rekonfirmasi desain baru juga menunjukan adanya perubahan signifikan terhadap penilaian pada desain kemasan baru dibanding pada kemasan produk lama.

SME has been proven as one of important pillars of national economy. Unfortunately, there are still some problems that hinder its development, such as the quality of the product packaging. The existing SME product packaging are considered poor, dirty and unattractive. Packaging problem is one of factors why consumers are less interested in buying and why SME products always loose the competition with other products.
This study discusses about how to design a better SME product packaging with focus on psychological (affective) aspects of the customers by means of Kansei Engineering method. In this research noted that there are four components that represent the consumer?s desires, Attractiveness, Robustness, Handy & Green, and Lightness.
The final result of this research is the creation of 4 new design for the product package that satisfy each of those components. Reconfirmation new design also showed the new designs have a significant increase in valuation than the old ones.

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini membahas pembuatan aplikasi desain kemasan shampoo berdasarkan nilai estetika visual dengan memperhatikan sisi afektif dari konsumen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kansei Engineering tipe II. Dari hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa terdapat sembilan kelompok kansei words pria dan delapan kelompok kansei words wanita yang mewakili persepsi afektif konsumen. Keluaran akhir dari penelitian ini adalah terbentuknya aplikasi yang membantu desainer dalam membuat desain kemasan shampoo dan usulan desain baru untuk kemasan shampoo yang memenuhi masing-masing kelompok kansei words.

ABSTRACT
The focus of this study is to create application for designing shampoo packaging based on aesthetic value by considering consumer affective perception. The method used in this study is Kansei Engineering type II. From the results of this research, there are five groups of kansei words representing affective perceptions of consumers, nine components for male and eight components for female. Final output of this research is application that help designer in making shampoo packaging design and the new design for packaging shampoo that meets each group kansei words.

"Botol minuman harus memenuhi fungsi dasar kemasan untuk makanan dan minuman. PT. Mustika Ratu baru-baru ini mengembangkan divisi baru yang memproduksi jamu modern dalam kemasan yang disebut Jejamu by Mustika Ratu. Sebuah survei pada produk Jejamu dan kemasan menjadi salah satu kunci untuk diperbaiki. Salah satu metode yang digunakan adalah Kansei Engineering yang menggunakan penerjemahan psikologis konsumen dengan menggunakan kata-kata Kansei. Metode ini akan menghasilkan interpretasi desain berdasarkan kebutuhan konsumen. Selain itu, perbaikan juga dapat dilakukan pada tingkat teknis. Perbaikan pada skala ini menggunakan metode TRIZ sebagai alat pemecahan masalah. Dengan menggunakan TRIZ, seseorang dapat secara spesifik dan kreatif menghasilkan solusi umum yang dapat diterjemahkan ke dalam perbaikan spesifik. Hasilnya adalah kombinasi Kansei Engineering-TRIZ yang akan kokoh dalam estetika berbasis konsumen dan peningkatan teknis.

A beverage bottle must fulfil the food and beverage functions. PT. Mustika Ratu has recently developed a new division producing a bottled modern Jamu called Jejamu by Mustika Ratu. A survey was done with packaging as key to be improved upon. One of the methods to use is Kansei Engineering which uses the psychological translation of the human psyche by using words. These would result in the production of a design based on the consumer’s need. Additionally, improvements could also be made on the technical level. To solve this one can, use TRIZ as a problem-solving tool. By using TRIZ, one can specifically and creatively produce general solutions which could be translated into specific improvements. The result of which would be a Kansei Engineering-TRIZ combination which would be robust in consumer-based aesthetic and improved technicalities."

"COVID19 berdampak negatif terhadap stabilitas ekonomi Indonesia, sehingga masyarakat harus saling membantu dan berbagi, khususnya di bidang pengadaan pangan. Meski memiliki tingkat kelaparan yang tinggi, Indonesia sendiri menempati urutan ke-12 dunia dalam hal produksi sampah makanan. Untuk mengatasi fenomena ini, diperlukan aplikasi berbagi makanan yang user-friendly. Oleh karena itu, Kansei Engineering digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk merancang aplikasi agar menangkap kebutuhan emosional pengguna, serta pendekatan fuzzy diintegrasikan untuk menjelaskan kebutuhan fitur pengguna dalam aplikasi. Selanjutnya prototipe diuji kinerja dan kegunaannya menggunakan kuesioner System Usability Scale (SUS) untuk menentukan desain yang paling sesuai untuk pengguna. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana desain aplikasi berbagi makanan berdasarkan kansei engineering dan bagaimana fitur yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan pendekatan fuzzy. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa aplikasi akan didesain berdasarakn perasaan beautiful, calm, clear, fun, futuristic, impressive, light, neat, refreshing, simple, sophisticated, dan unique. Sedangkan, fitur aplikasi didasarkan pada logika fuzzy pada 5 fitur utama yaitu sistem komunikasi, reward, pembayaran, deskripsi makanan, dan sistem pengambilan. Dari 3 konsep desain akhir, uji usabilitas dan kinerja menyatakan bahwa aplikasi dengan "cool concept" adalah desain yang direkomendasikan dengan nilai efisiensi dan kepuasan yang lebih tinggi daripada konsep desain lainnya.

COVID19 has a negative impact on Indonesia's economic stability; therefore, people must assist and share with one another, particularly in food procurement. Despite its high hunger rate, Indonesia ranks 12th in the world for food waste production. A user-friendly food sharing application is required to overcome this phenomenon. As a result, Kansei Engineering is used in this study to design applications that capture users' emotional needs and a fuzzy approach to explain user feature requirements. Moreover, the prototype was tested for performance and usability with a System Usability Scale (SUS) to determine the best design. Thus, the purpose of this research is to discover how to design a food sharing application using kansei engineering and how the features required are based on a fuzzy approach. According to the findings of this study, the application will be designed with the following feelings in mind: beautiful, calm, clear, fun, futuristic, impressive, light, neat, refreshing, simple, sophisticated, and unique. Meanwhile, the application features are based on fuzzy logic on five main features: communication system, reward system, payment system, food description system, and retrieval system. Usability and performance tests revealed that "cool concept" was the recommended design, with higher efficiency and satisfaction scores"

"Kasus-kasus kekerasan seksual di Indonesia membutuhkan solusi untuk memiliki platform pelaporan yang efisien. Di era digital dengan teknologi konektivitas ekstensif dari Revolusi Industri 4.0, aplikasi seluler adalah alat portabel yang paling sesuai untuk berbagi lokasi secara real-time dan pelaporan darurat. Sasaran pengguna aplikasi seluler ini adalah korban, saksi, dan pencegah kasus kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini berpedoman pada metodologi berpikir desain (design thinking) dan memanfaatkan beberapa analisis statistik untuk pengumpulan dan pengolahan data melalui Kansei engineering (KE), Principle Component Analysis (PCA) sebagai alat reduksi dimensi faktor dengan rotated varimax solution, dan partial least square untuk menentukan elemen desain antarmuka pengguna. Output dari penelitian ini digambarkan dalam bentuk desain antarmuka pengguna melalui rapid prototyping dan diuji melalui Usability Testing's set of scoring metrics. Selain itu, user experience design juga dikembangkan dalam bentuk mock-up yang dapat diklik. Penelitian ini mencakup dua desain antarmuka pengguna akhir yang telah diuji dan cocok untuk user target

The emerging, urgent cases of sexual violence in Indonesia call for a solution to have an efficient reporting platform. In this digital era with industry 4.0 extensive connectivity technologies, a mobile application is the most suitable, portable tool for real-time location sharing and emergency reports. This mobile application's user targets are victims, witnesses, and preventers of sexual violence cases. This research was guided by design thinking methodology and utilized several statistical analysis for data gathering and processing through Kansei engineering, principle component analysis as the factor dimension reduction tool with rotated varimax solution, and partial least square for determining the user interface’s design elements. The output of this research was depicted in user interface design wireframes through rapid prototyping and tested via usability testing's set of scoring metrics. Moreover, the user experience design was developed too in the form of a clickable mock-up. This research resulted in two final user interface design suited for the user target"

"The proportion of people with diabetes in Indonesia is 6.9%, of whom, 90% suffer from type 2 diabetes. To control diabetes, the International Diabetes Foundation has a self-monitoring blood glucose program (SMBG) that is designed to gather detailed information about blood glucose, which can be used to define the required dietary and physical activity. In Indonesia, SMBGs have not been applied widely due to some difficulties with the SMBG application, including difficulty with interpreting blood glucose levels and the required food consumption. The rapid development of smartphones and the internet in recent years may provide a solution for SMBG applications in Indonesia. Therefore, the aim of this research is to design an SMBG application that meets the needs of people with diabetes. In designing the application, the Kansei Engineering method was used due to its ability to capture impressions of the product that reflect hidden needs. Kansei Engineering was applied to translate the patient’s perception into design elements. Statistical analysis – particularly Factor Analysis and Partial Least Squares Analysis – were used to support the Kansei Engineering method. Statistical analysis indicated that four main design components needed to be considered in the design, including ‘data record persistence’, ‘ease of use’, ‘data presentation’, and ‘visual attractiveness’. These four components were used as the basic design concepts, which were transferred to new design specifications based on Partial Least Squares Analysis. The selected design elements (or premium Kansei) were ‘color scheme – light’, ‘language – Bahasa’, and ‘input dialog – typing’. The result of this research is a design for an SMBG android-based application that is easy to use and also provides appropriate information to patients with diabetes so they can plan their diet program."

"ABSTRACT
Means of public health is a component in accelerating the improvement of public health degree. Hospitals as health facilities have a very strategic role in providing quality services in accordance with established standards and can reach the whole community. One installation that needs improvement is the quality of instalasai Hemodialysis. The number of patients is increasing every year must be accompanied by improvement of quality of service installation. Based on observations, there were some complaints of patients on hemodialysis installation services. This study intends to improve the quality of care in hemodialysis installations by crafting needs hemodialysis machine design using Kansei Engineering, as well as the application of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and TRIZ. Kansei Engineering is used to ensure that a service fulfills the desired emotional response. Subsequently used QFD to improve customer satisfaction by improving the quality of services installation hemodialysis. Results of QFD point to contradictions, namely repair and maintenance service of the machine with the alert medics and repair and maintenance of the machine with the cleanliness and comfort of installation.
