Nowadays, halal certification and halal labeling are increasingly being done in various parts of the world, including Indonesia. In the other hand, there are still many restaurants in Indonesia that have not obtained halal certification for the food they make and provide to the masses. Therefore, this study aims to determine how theory of planned behavior, food quality, price fairness, and servicescape affect the revisit intention of consumers for restaurants that do not have any halal certification. The data from this study were tested using the method known as Partial Least Square Structural Equations Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data collection is carried out by distributing online questionnaires that are filled out individually by respondents. Based on 386 samples of Muslim who consume food at restaurants that do not have halal certification, the theory of planned behavior consisting of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control affects revisit intention. Food quality, substantive stage of servicescape, and communicative stage of servicescape have no significant effect on revisit intention. Price fairness and food quality have a significant effect on attitude. Attitude mediates the relationship between price fairness on revisit intention and food quality on revisit intention. Trust does not provide a moderating effect in the relationship between attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control on revisit intention. Based on the results of interviews with 5 Muslim consumer in Indonesia to restaurants that already have halal certification. Theory of planned behavior consisting of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control affects revisit intention. Price fairness and food quality have a significant effect on attitude."

Nowadays, the halal or sharia industries are developing rapidly throughout the world, such as in food, finance, fashion, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, media and recreation, and tourism sector. Food is one of the most attractive sectors because the term halal food is related to Muslim culture. However, halal food has its place for non-Muslims, including in Indonesia where the majority of the population are Muslims. Halal food is in accordance with conventional health insurance. Therefore, the objective of this study is to determine the factors that influence repurchase intention of non-Muslim consumers in Indonesia for meat-based food from halal restaurants. Respondents in this study are non- Muslims whose age more than 17 years who had purchased meat-based food from halal restaurants at least twice in the past year. This study used SmartPLS 3 software to see the effect of halal food knowledge, attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control on repurchase intention of food from halal restaurants. The results showed that halal food knowledge has no direct effect on repurchase intention. Meanwhile, attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control have direct relationship with repurchase intention. The three also mediate the relationship between halal food knowledge and repurchase intention.

Although meat consumption in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year, this increase is not accompanied by domestic meat production. Therefore, the import of halal meat is allowed. With this perspective, this study aims to determine the factors that influence the intensity of purchasing imported halal meat products by Muslim consumers in Indonesia. This study adopted the Theory of Planned Behavior and PushPull Mooring Theory as well as a quantitative approach through the Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) method. Primary data was collected using a non-probability sampling method and involved 913 Indonesian Muslim respondents who had purchased imported halal products (raw/unprocessed) in the last 3 months. The results showed that the variables that had a significant positive effect on the intensity of purchasing imported halal meat products were nutritional content, behavioral control, and attitudes. Meanwhile, the price variable has a significant negative effect on the purchase intensity of imported halal meat products. The religiosity variable, which acts as a mediating variable, has a significant positive effect on attitudes to buying imported halal meat products. Meanwhile, the variables of subjective norms, sensory attractiveness, and halal awareness are not significant to the intensity of purchasing imported halal meat products. The results of this study are expected to provide input to the halal industry players, especially importers of halal meat, in a suitable marketing strategy based on the factors found to be significant in this study. This result is also expected to be useful for the government and local breeders so that they can encourage the production of meat that is good in nutritional content and affordable in price, because these health and price factors are considered by consumers as the most important factors affecting their intensity of consuming imported meat. This result is also expected to be a reference for similar research and literature related to the halal industry in Indonesia and globally."

In this study, we suggest the basis and marketing plan to expand the expert of Korean food, especially Indonesia consumer, by improving understanding of Halal industry and consumer awareness in Indonesia and providing information on Halal certification issue.  Suggesting ways to strengthen the credibility of Halal certification in Korea and seek to build trust between the two countries through the food industry. This paper develops a nine-constructs-based model. Halal awareness, Awareness of Korea, Religious Belief, Halal logo, Exposure, COO credibility, Islamic brand and product ingredients are used as the pre-determined factors for measuring consumer's purchase intention. This study suggests that the higher the understanding of Korea, the higher the reliability of Korean-produced Halal-certified foods. In other words, promoting Korea, spreading Korean food, and providing a positive image means that the Halal products exported from Korea can be made more reliable. Consumers are aware of the by products derived from the issues they are familiar with, especially those products that are trusted to provide the prescribed standards. Also Religious belief, Halal awareness, Product ingredient have a positive impact on the purchasing intention. "Halal standards and certification continue to pose challenges for Islamic marketing. Resolving this is critical for the sector. This study uses the critical literature review (CLR) and systematic literature review (SLR) approaches by reviewing 76 published articles from Scopus-indexed journals between the years 2012 and 2023. Further, it analyses qualitative Quranic verses and content through the use of Stakeholder Theory (ST) and the ATLAS.ti qualitative data analysis software. Findings show that challenges facing halal standards and certification comprise heterogeneity, questionable raw materials, unethical practices, poor understanding of Islamic theology, communication gaps, acceptance variability, human resource management problems, supply chain obstacles, and improper Islamic marketing orientation. In addition to these common challenges, marketing problems, and poor brand positioning decisively hinder the growth potential of the halal industry. Importantly, the qualitative Quranic verses must satisfy Islamic scholars, certification boards, producers, halal marketers, and researchers to resolve the halal standards and certification-based challenges. All stakeholders must comprehend the insights arising from the general and special challenges facing the halal industry to synthesize the relevant and prescriptive Quranic verses as strategic tools. Stakeholders must further ponder future challenges regarding standards and certification on halal price, place, and promotion since current certification only focuses on products."

Halal certification provides assurance to consumers, both Muslim and non-Muslim, that the ingredient used and the production process are in accordance with the Shari'ah. Halal certification can also increase consumer confidence in the product so that it affects consumer decisions in buying a product. However, halal certification is not the only determinant that influences purchasing decisions for consumers. This study aims to determine the effect of intrinsic attributes (product ingredient and sensory attribute) and extrinsic attributes (packaging, labelling, brand name, and country of origin) on purchase intention through attitude towards halal-certified food. This research is a development of the previous research conducted by Bukhari et al. (2021) by using Theory Reasoned Action (TRA) and adding country of origin as variable. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique and the program used is SmartPLS. The data collection method was carried out by distributing online questionnaires with a non-probability purposive sampling method. The respondents are 192 Muslim millennial generations who don’t pay attention to halal certificates when making purchases. The findings of this study indicate that product ingredients and sensory attributes have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, either directly or indirectly. Meanwhile, labelling and brand name do not have a direct effect on purchase intention, but have a significant indirect effect through the attitude variable. Packaging only has a significant effect on attitude, but is not significant on purchase intention. Meanwhile, country of origin is not significant either directly or indirectly on purchase intention."
