Abstrak :
Penelitian tesis ini menggunakan latar belakang permasalahan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang manufaktur. Banyaknya perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang yang sama pada saat ini, mengharuskan perusahaan menghasilkan produk yang terbaik sampai ke tangan konsumen. Untuk itu kualitas yang terbaik haruslah diutamakan. Dengan kata lain peningkatan kualitas produk harus menjadi prioritas utama. Untuk mendapatkan kualitas yang baik tanpa adanya kegagalan, dibutuhkan teori yang akan menjadi acuan untuk itu. Setting optimal dibutuhkan pada eksperimen untuk pengujian agar menghemat waktu dan biaya. Metoda Taguchi menggunakan orthogonal array yang efektif dalam melakukan eksperimen. Dengan mengikuti langkah-langkah Metoda Taguchi, aplikasi dapat langsung dilakukan. Penentuan faktor terkontrol, faktor tidak terkontrol dan level faktor yang digunakan, serta jenis orthogonal array yang akan dipakai dalam eksperimen. Data yang dikumpulkan dari lapangan, diolah dengan Metoda Taguchi. Penggunaan analisa variansi dan signal to noise ratio, sehingga setting optimal Metoda Taguhi dapat ditemukan. Dari perbandingan yang didapat antara data aktual yang telah dilakukan perusahaan dengan data yang diambil menggunakan hasil setting yang didapat dengan Metoda Taguchi dilakukan analisa sehingga dapat diketahui penyebab kegagalan produk selama ini. Dalam kesimpulan akhir tesis ini proses pembuatan produk dengan kualitas yang terbaik dapat dilakukan. Sehingga kompetisi antara perusahaan dengan produk yang sama menjadi sebuah persaingan yang sehat.
This thesis research using manufacture companies issues background which progress recently. Many companies operate in the same field, required the companies to produce their best to deliver to customers. Hence the best quality must be prioritized. In other word the quality improvement of the products should be main priority. To reach the good quality and zero defects, it is required theories to become the reference. Optimal setting uses in experiment to asses and efficient in time and cost. Taguchi method used orthogonal array, which be effective in performing the experiment. By following the steps of the Taguchi Method, application could be conducted directly. The determination controlled factor, uncontrolled factor and level factor applied, and also the type of orthogonal array that will be use in the experiment. The collected data from field processed by Taguchi Method. The uses of variance analysis and signal to noise ratio, so that the optimal setting of Taguchi Method could be found. From the obtained comparison between actual data that has performed by a company with the collected data using the obtained setting result by Taguchi Method, analysis is conducted so that it can be known the cause of the product failure during the time. From the final conclusion of this thesis, the produce of the product with the best quality could be performed. The competition between the company and the same product become a sound competition.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memajukan kerangka kerja konseptual yang menjelaskan pengaruh country of origin image pada purchase intention konsumen dengan peran moderasi consumer ethnocentrism yang secara eksplisit dimodelkan dan diuraikan. Consumer ethnocentrism (CE) diuji sebagai faktor moderasi antara country of origin image dan perceived brand prestige, dan antara country of origin image dan perceived product quality, dan antara country of origin image dan purchase intention. Model yang diusulkan memberikan kesaksian tentang hasil penelitian kuantitatif dalam survei yang dilakukan dengan metode convenience sampling yang menargetkan konsumen Generasi Y yang telah menggunakan produk perawatan kulit wajah di Indonesia, yaitu 303 responden. Survey online menggunakan Google Form dengan cara snowball melalui chat Whatsapp. Analisis data digunakan Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif country of origin image terhadap perceived brand prestige, perceived product quality, dan purchase intention konsumen. penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa perceived product quality berpengaruh signifikan terhadap purchase intention. Selain itu, consumer ethnocentrism mengurangi hubungan positif antara country of origin image dan perceivd product quality serta mengurangi perceived brand prestige. Temuan penelitian ini juga menyiratkan bahwa pemasar harus membangun strategi pemasaran yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan purchase intention konsumen Indonesia ......This research aims to advance a conceptual framework that illuminates the impact of country of origin image on consumer’s purchase intention with moderating roles of consumer ethnocentrism which is explicitly modelled and decomposed. Consumer ethnocentrism (CE) was tested as a moderating factor between country of origin image and perceived brand prestige and between country of origin image and perceived product quality. The proposed model testified drawing on the results of quantitative research in a survey conducted on a convenience sample targeting Generation Y consumers who have used facial skin care products in Indonesia, that is 202 respondents. An online survey using Google Form is conducted with snowball manner via Whatsapp chat. Data was analyzed by using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicated that there was a positive impact of country of origin image on perceived brand prestige, perceived product quality and consumers’ purchase intention. Moreover, this study also found that perceived product quality has significant effect on purchase intention. Furthermore, consumer ethnocentrism has no moderating effect on purchase intention. The findings also implied that marketers should build a suitable marketing strategy to increase consumers’ purchase intentions

ABSTRAK
The focus of this study is to examine the effect of tourist experience advertising, word of mouth and destination service performance on the customer based brand equity. This study finds that brand awareness, brand image, and brand quality all have an effect on brand loyalty. While destination service performance has an effect on destination brand awareness and brand image, advertisement and word of mouth, both did not show any effects on either destination brand awareness nor brand image. The findings allow tourist destinations in Asia to forecast future customer behavior and provide useful insights for marketing and service management strategies.

Fokus dari laporan ini adalah untuk membahas tentang pengaruh dari pengalaman turis dalam berlibur terhadap ekuitas merek yang berbasis pada kostumer. Hasil riset ini menemukan bahwa kesadaran terhadap merek atau destinasi, kualitas merek, dan kesan merek mempengaruhi loyalitas terhadap merek. Disaat performa pelayanan pada destinasi memiliki dampak positif pada kesadaran terhadap merek dan kesan merek, iklan dan rekomendasi dari mulut ke mulut tidak menunjukkan dampak positif pada kesadaran terhadap merek dan kesan merek. Hasi dari riset ini dapat membantu destinasi turis di Asia untuk memprediksi tindakan kostumer di masa depan sekaligus memberikan wawasan untuk strategi marketing dan manajemen pelayanan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami hubungan antar empat dimensi yang ada pada kerangka konsep customer-based brand equity (CBBE) dalam konteks acara edukasi dan juga untuk mengetahui jenis hubungan yang ada diantara dimensi event brand value (EBV) dan event brand loyalty (EBL). Analisis jalur digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menguji ke-6 pernyataan hipotesis. Setelah melakukan pengolahan data kuisioner dengan bantuan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS Statistics 21 (N = 298), hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa seluruh konstruk dapat dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Dimensi event brand loyalty (EBL), dipengaruhi secara langsung oleh dimensi event brand image (EBI), event brand value (EBV), dan terlebih secara kuat oleh event brand quality (EBQ). Penelitian ini berguna bagi pihak-pihak penyelenggara acara edukasi (seperti seminar) yang ingin meningkatkan event brand equity serta penelitian ini turut memperkaya literatur ilmiah untuk pengembangan profesi humas.
This research aimed to understand relationship between dimensions that exist on customer-based brand equity (CBBE) concept in the context of educational event and to examine the relationship between event brand value and event brand loyalty. Path analysis technique was used to test the 6 hypothetical statements. Questionnaires were analyzed (N = 298), results indicated that all questions on the questionnaire was valid and reliable to test the 4 constructs. Event brand loyalty (EBL) was proven directly affected by event brand image (EBI), event brand value (EBV), and moreover, proven highly influenced by event brand quality (EBQ). This research is useful for educational events organizers that care about event brand equity and also contributes to the development of public relations profession.

Penelitian mengenai penggunaan media cerita dalam dunia pemasaran FMCG sudah cukup banyak dilakukan. Meski demikian, penelitian spesifik yang membahas penggunaan short brand story di kemasan fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) belum banyak dilakukan dan bahkan belum ada di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh dari short brand story terhadap purchase intention dengan perceived brand quality sebagai mediator. Short brand story (SBS) dibedakan menjadi self-transcendence dan selfenhancement. Penelitian ini diikuti oleh 432 partisipan yang berusia minimal 18 tahun secara daring. Alat ukur dari Schiffman dan Wisenblit (2015) digunakan untuk mengukur purchase intention dan perceived brand quality dari Boulding dan Kirmani (1993). Analisis Process dari Hayes menemukan bahwa SBS memengaruhi perceived brand quality secara positif. Di saat yang bersamaan, perceived brand quality juga memengaruhi purchase intention secara positif, sehingga efek mediasi dinyatakan hadir dalam penelitian ini. Selain itu, perhitungan statistik juga menemukan bahwa short brand story tipe self-transcendence memiliki perceived brand quality dan purchase intention yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan tipe self - enhancement. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan masukan kepada produsen fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) untuk menghadirkan inovasi terbaru terkait pemasaran produknya.  ......A lot of studies on the use of story media in FMCG marketing have been done quite a lot previously. However, a study that discusses the use of short brand stories in FMCG packaging has not been widely carried out and is not even available yet in Indonesia. Therefore, this study was conducted to see the effect of short brand stories on purchase intentions with the perceived brand quality acts as a mediator. Short brand stories are differentiated into self-transcendence and self-enhancement. This study was conducted online and attended by 432 participants who are at least 18 years old minimum of age. Purchase intention is measured using measurement scale adapted from Schiffman and Wisenblit (2015) and perceived brand quality is measured using measurement scare adapted from Boulding and Kirmani (1993). Process analysis from Hayes found that SBS positively influenced perceived brand quality, and at the same time, perceived brand quality positively influenced purchase intention. Therefore, the mediation effect is presented in this study. In addition, the statistics measurement also found that the self-transcendence type short brand story has a higher perceived brand quality and purchase intention than the self-enhancement type. The results of this study provide input to fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) producers in presenting the latest innovations related to product marketing.
