ABSTRACT
The present study examined the psychometric properties of the New Obsessive Compulsive Scale (NOCS) and its item quality. In a tutorial, students formulated new items based on the characteristics comprising obsessive compulsive behaviour. These were critiqued as a class to remove or reword problematic items. Pilot data was obtained to further evaluate the usefulness of items, before finalizing the New Obsessive Compulsive Scale. All data were collected from118 undergraduate psychology students in The University of Queensland in which they have completed the New Obsessive Compulsive Scale, amongst other measures, in their PSYC3020 tutorial. Results revealed that New Obsessive Compulsive Scale has a liable reliability and internal consistency (a = .82). Furthermore, NOCS scores was positively correlated with the Obsessive Compulsive Inventory - Revised (OCI-R) (r = .82), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) (r = .32) and Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS) (r = .52), thereby proposing that the New Scale is a tolerably reliable and valid. Recommendations were made in order to improve future studies."

Sebanyak 194 mahasiswa The University of Queensland menyelesaikan kuesioner
A newly developed measure of obsessive-compulsive behavior (OCB) is presented, as well as the

Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour (OCB).
mendapat intervensiABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the reliability and the validity of the new Obsessive-Compulsive Behaviour (OCB)

ABSTRACT
Based on previous literatures that the occurrence of Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour OCB in college students is increasing and previous scales often only measured patients who have been diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder OCD , this study developed Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour OCB scale for college students that specifically measures obsessive compulsive symptoms according to Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM 5th edition. Furthemore, the other objective of this study is to investigate the psychometric properties of OCB scale. 142 college students aged from 18 to 54 years old participated voluntarily in mega survey. Calculation of cronbach rsquo s alpha in this study revealed that internal consistency of this scale was excellent. Furthermore the analysis of item discrimination index showed that the quality of each item for this scale was moderately good. Three scales were used to examine the validity of OCB scale. First of all, participants who scored high in OCB scale obtained high score of Obsessive Compulsive Invetory Revised OCI R indicates excellent convergent validity. Secondly, participants who scored high in OCB scale obtained high score of Penn State Worry Questionnaire PSWQ shows that the divergent validity of this scale needs improvement. Thirdly, participants who had high score of OCB scale also scored high in Responsibility Attitude Scale RAS indicates excellent criterion validity."

This study aimed to explore such relationships in the context of social media interaction by mobile phones. Due to the widespread use of mobile phones nowadays, especially by university students, it is interesting to observe whether people with higher level of obsessive compulsiveness will affected differently by the way they use their mobile phones. Moreover, instead of analysing the disorder, the behaviour and trait aspect of obsessive compulsive, anxiety and neuroticism will be discussed. The study examines the relationship with correlational method (Pearson?s r). Self-report online questionnaires were administered to 194 undergraduate students aged 18-47 years. It was consisted of the Obsessive-Compulsive Behaviour (OCB) scale, State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) neuroticism subscale. The result showed significant positive correlation between obsessive compulsive behaviour in mobile phone usage and anxiety. Furthermore, it also showed that obsessive compulsive behaviour in mobile phone usage is significantly positively correlated with neuroticism. This study offers an understanding on how certain personalities can influence our behaviour in doing certain activity, in this case it may increase obsessiveness and compulsiveness which may be disadvantageous for people.;Obsessive compulsive disorder has been linked to anxiety and neuroticism.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a condition in which individuals have repetitive, persistent, and disturbing thoughts, images, or impulses. This disorder is closely related to low self-esteem, where people with OCD interpret themselves to be less good and less valuable regarding their condition. At present there are no case-reports of OCD cases with low self-esteem that I found. Mrs. S, 31 years old, an OCD sufferer who was treated in the Srikandi room at the Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital in Bogor, the patient felt excessive anxiety when her desire to take pictures with other people was not fulfilled. During treatment, the patient always says that she is ashamed of her condition and feels herself worthless. Therefore, one of the nursing diagnoses that can be established is chronic low self-esteem. The superior action that the author did to solve this nursing problem was to train the patient's positive abilities. These actions are quite effective marked by changes in signs and symptoms of low self-esteem and increased scores on patients self-esteem even though they are still in the low self-esteem range

Prior studies on brand communities showed a positive influence on consumer behavior. However, it could act like a double edge sword and possess dark sides that potentially could harm the brand. The present study investigates the role of brand identification and brand passion in the development of behaviors like impulsive and obsessive-compulsive buying. A quantitative method using an online survey was used to see the behavior of 533 survey responses from a brand community in Indonesia. The result found that brand identification positively influences harmonious brand passion and obsessive brand passion. Only obsessive brand passion was found to directly influence impulsive and obsessive-compulsive buying. This study also tested the moderation effect of community identification, shopping motivation of idea shopping, and social shopping. The research contributes to the literature on the study of compulsive buying from the brand community perspective. Practical suggestions for marketers on how to prevent and face these consumer behaviors are also included."
