Abstrak :
Penelitian ini membahas lirik lagu Over De Muur karya Klein Orkest yang dirilis pada tahun 1984. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan keadaan Jerman Barat dan Jerman Timur pada tahun 1984 melalui interpretasi makna dari tanda yang terdapat pada lirik lagu Over De Muur. Interpretasi makna dibedah menggunakan mitologi oleh Roland Barthes. Pertama-tama dilakukan pemilihan kata, frasa, atau kalimat yang berlaku sebagai tanda yang dapat menggambarkan keadaan Jerman Barat dan Jerman Timur pada saat itu. Lalu analisis dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan proses semiosis dua tahap; yang pertama adalah analisis primer yang terdiri dari analisis makna denotatif lalu pada tahap kedua menjabarkan makna konotatif yang terdapat di lirik lagu Over De Muur untuk mengidentifikasi mitos yang terdapat dalam lagu tersebut. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tanda di lirik lagu Over De Muur menggambarkan Jerman Barat dan Jerman Timur memiliki ideologi yang berbeda, tanda tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Jerman Barat negara yang berideologi kapitalis-liberal, sedangkan Jerman Timur berideologi sosialis-komunis. ......This study discusses the lyrics of the song Over De Muur by Klein Orkest which was released in 1984. The purpose of this study is to discuss the situation of West Germany and East Germany in 1984 through the interpretation of the meaning of the signs contained in the Over De Muur song lyrics. The theory used in this research is the theory of myth by Roland Barthes. First, a selection of words, phrases or sentences is needed as a sign that reflected the state of West Germany and East Germany at that time. Then the analysis continued using the two steps semiosis process; The first is a primary analysis consisting of an analysis of denotative meanings and then in the secondary analysis consists of connotative meanings analysis to identify the myths that contained in the lyrics of Over De Muur . The results show that the song Over De Muur portrays that West Germany and East Germany have different ideologies, West Germany with capitalist-liberal ideology and East Germany with socialist-communist ideology.

Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Semiotika Barthes dengan didukung teori Representasi Hall dan Oposisi Biner, serta teknik sinematografis. Di balik penggambaran kembali sejarah dunia dalam ?Hetalia Axis Powers? adalah ideologi superioritas bangsa Jepang, penonjolan keunikan bangsa Jepang (nihonjinron), identitas bangsa, dan adanya kecenderungan dukungan terhadap wacana normalisasi militer Jepang.

Tesis ini menganalisis fenomena keberadaan tokoh Babadook bukan sebagai fenomena spiritiual. Sebagai film horor, naratif film The Babadook digerakkan oleh hubungan antara tokoh Amelia, sebagai Ibu yang tak bisa menerima kematian suaminya, dan keberadaan Samuel, anaknya. Dalam analisis, nantinya tesis ini akan menunjukkan bahwa fenomena keberadaan Babadook merupakan akibat dari permasalahan psikis tokoh Amelia yang berhubungan dengan animus dan shadow. Analisis dalam tesis ini menggunakan teori psikologi analitik Carl Gustav Jung, untuk membuktikan bahwa tokoh Babadook merupakan fenomena yang bersumber dari permasalahan psikis tokoh Amelia.

This thesis analyzes the existence of Babadook, not as a spiritual phenomenon. As a horror movie, the narrative in The Babadook is driven by the relationship between Amelia, as a mother who cannot accept her husband?s death, and the presence of Samuel, her son. In the analysis, this thesis will point out that the existence of Babadook is a result of Amelia?s pschye problem that is related to the concept of animus and shadow. This thesis used Carl Gustav Jung?s analytical psychology to prove that Babadook is a phenomenon that comes from Amelia?s psyche problem.

ABSTRAK Tesis ini membahas mengenai gugatan identitas tentara maghribi dalam film Indigènes karya Rachid Bouchareb. Tesis ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan bantuan teori dalam kajian film oleh Boggs dan teori identitas oleh Hall. Film Indigènes dikenal sebagai salah satu film yang mengangkat wacana keadilan bagi tentara maghribi. Penelitian ini melihat ketidakadilan yang disampaikan lewat aspek naratif dan sinematografis film Indigènes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bouchareb menyampaikan gugatan identitas tentara maghribi melalui seluruh aspek naratif dan sinematografis dalam film ini. Film ini juga mengungkap ketidakadilan terjadi karena identitas tentara maghribi sebagai the Other, pion perang, dan tentara kelas dua. Hadirnya film ini sebagai gugatan identitas tentara maghribi berhasil karena adanya kesetaraan dana pensiun bagi veteran maghribi dan veteran Prancis serta rekonstruksi identitas bagi tentara maghribi di Prancis.

ABSTRACT This thesis discusses about the accusation regarding the identity of maghrebin soldier from the film Indigènes by Rachid Bouchareb. This thesis uses qualitative method with the help of theories on cinema studies by Boggs and theory of identity by Hall. Indigènes is known as a film that elevates the discourse of justice for maghrebin soldier. This thesis conveys injustice done by France to maghrebins soldiers through the narrative and cinematographic aspects of the film Indigènes. It also revealed that inequality among magrebins soldiers occured because of their identity as the Other, a pawn of war, and the second-class soldier. Through both analysis, the results showed that Bouchareb was succeed to accuse the identity of maghrebin soldier. It is proven from the change in maghrebins veteran pension policy, as well as the reconstruction of the maghrebins soldiers identity in France.

Tari Tinikling adalah tari bambu yang dibawakan oleh sepasang penari yang berasal dari Filipina Tengah, Kepulauan Visayas, Pulau Leyte. Tari Tinikling unik dalam kostum, gerakan, penari dan alat musik sehingga digemari masyarakat dan menjadi populer di Filipina. Tari Tinikling merupakan perpaduan akulturasi dari kebudayaan lokal yaitu masyarakat Visayan dengan masyarakat Spanyol dan Amerika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui arti dan makna tari Tinikling pada kebudayaan masyarakat Filipina, untuk mengetahui bentuk dinamika tari Tinikling dalam kehidupan masyarakat Filipina dan untuk mengetahui adanya nilai nasionalisme pada tari Tinikling. Tari Tinikling mengalami 4 periode dalam perkembangannya yang tidak menghilangkan sisi estetika dengan bantuan kesiapan penari dalam gerakan menghindari pukulan bambu. Simbol warna dan bambu merujuk pada negara dan hasil alam. Tari Tinikling memiliki fungsi keagamaan, sosial, hiburan, sarana edukasi, pelestarian budaya dan komoditi pariwisata. Tari Tinikling berperan sebagai media komunikasi antara manusia, Tuhan dan alam. Tari Tinikling bisa dianggap sebagai tari nasional kebanggaan masyarakat Filipina karena sampai sekarang masih eksis dan ditarikan pada saat perayaan hari besar seperti hari kemerdekaan dan natal. Masyarakat Filipina menerima perubahan tari Tinikling karena menyatukan hubungan mereka. Nilai yang terkandung dalam tari adalah nilai estetika, nilai religius dan nilai nasionalisme. Tinikling dance is a blend of acculturation from local culture that is Visayan with Spanish and American. The purpose of this study is to determine the meaning and significance of cultural on Philippines society, to determine the form of dynamic in Tinikling dance on Philippines society and to determine the existence of nationalism value in Tinikling dance. Tinikling dance experienced four periods in its development that does not eliminate the aesthetic side with the help of the readiness of dancers in motion to avoid the puch of bamboo. The symbol of colors and bamboo refers to the country and natural products. The Tinikling dance has the function of religious, social, entertainment, educational, cultural preservation and tourism commodities. Tinikling dance acts as a medium of communication between man, God and nature. Tinikling dance can be considered as the national dance of community pride in the Philippines because until now it still exist and danced during big celebration such as the Independence Day and Christmas. The Philippines society accept changes in Tinikling dance because it unites their relationship. The values contained in the dance is the aesthetic value, the value of religious and nationalism value. Penelitian ini membahas subjektivitas perempuan dalam film karya Justin Chadwick yang berjudul The Other Boleyn Girl. Pencermatan terhadap tokoh perempuan dalam film terkait subjektivitasnya dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori dari Simone de Beauvoir yang dikaitkan dengan konsep perkawinan. Teori film Joseph M. Boggs dan Dennis W. Petrie tentang penokohan dalam film juga digunakan untuk melihat subjektivitas tokoh utama dalam film. Hal pertama yang dilakukan untuk dapat melihat subjektivitas tokoh utama perempuan, adalah dengan mencermati penokohan tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam film, kemudian melihat perbedaan konsep perkawinan antara dua tokoh utama dalam film. Penggambaran mengenai konsep perkawinan dua tokoh perempuan tersebut memberikan informasi bahwa kedua tokoh tersebut memiliki perbedaan dalam memandang perkawinan yang menyebabkan juga perbedaan kedua tokoh tersebut dalam memaknai diri sendiri. ...... This research is aimed to analyze female subjectivity in Justin Chadwick rsquo s The Other Boleyn Girl. The theory by Simone de Beauvoir is used to analyze the female main character and the subjectivity portrayed on her. The characterization in the fiction films by Joseph M. Boggs and Dennis W. Petrie is also used to analyze the characters and to see female subjectivity portrayed on the main character. The difference of marriage concept between two major characters in the film is elaborated to see the subjectivity. As the result of this research, the researcher found that there are some differences of marriage concepts between the two major characters that cause different way in understanding themselves.

Skripsi ini menganalisis apresiasi netizen terhadap film Spijt! dan Pijnstillers dari novel karya Carry Slee. Delapan resensi menjadi korpus dimuat dalam media elektronik khusus film dan umum Belanda. Penilaian Boonstra (1979) dan De Moor (2003) dipadukan untuk memperlihatkan aspek penilaian yang paling disorot oleh peresensi. Penilaian yang mendominasi di kedua jenis media adalah penilaian objektif. Dalam media umum, pencermatan terhadap penokohan menjadi sorotan sedangkan media khusus film tidak memusatkan penilaian atas aspek tertentu yang menjadi bagian komposisi film.

ABSTRACT
This thesis analyzes the appreciation that is given by netizen towards Spijt! and Pijnstillers which are the result of adaptation in Carry Slee?s novels. Eight reviews are published in special electronic media for films and general media in the Netherlands. Boonstra?s (1979) and De Moor?s arguments (2003) are combined to show the most highlighted aspect of the judgement. It is found that the objective assessment dominate both media. Reviews in the general media put more focus on characterization while reviews in exclusive films media are not focusing on any particular aspect.;

Tujuannya adalah untuk melihat bagaimana imigran dalam masyarakat multikultur UE direpresentasikan kepada Indonesia dan apakah latar belakang ideologinya. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan teori sirkuit budaya sebagai kerangka teori dan representasi konstruksionis dengan semiotik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pola dan ideologi orientalis kepada Indonesia pada data penelitian.;

This dissertation discusses immigrant representation by the European Union in Indonesian Europe on screen Film Festival booklets. Data are obtained from five booklets from 2008 until 2011. The goal is to see how immigrants in European Union multicultural society are represented to Indonesia and to discover the ideological background of the representation. This research adopts circuit of culture the grand theory, with constructive representation approach, using semiotic method.
