"Internet menjadi salah satu media yang paling berpengaruhi pada saat ini. Adanya internet mempermudah berbagai kebutuhan manusia mulai dari informasi, komunikasi, aktualisasi diri, dan lainnya. Banyaknya keuntungan yang diberikan oleh internet membuat banyak kegiatan yang tidak dapat terlepas dari penggunaan internet, salah satunya adalah penyebaran informasi khususnya melalui media sosial. Penyebaran informasi yang dilakukan melalui media sosial sangatlah cepat, baik informasi melalui tulisan, lisan, maupun gambar. Salah satu informasi yang cukup banyak beredar di media sosial adalah informasi mengenai kegiatan leisure. Penelitian ini ingin melihat apakah ada pengaruh dari penggunaan media sosial terhadap keputusan konsumsi seseorang, khususnya konsumsi leisure. Peneliti akan mencoba menjawab apakah mereka akan memiliki kecenderungan untuk mengikuti tren khususnya kegiatan leisure yang ada setelah melihatnya di media sosial mereka.

Internet has become one of the most influential media nowadays. People believes that the existence of internet will simplify lots of human needs and activities, such as information, communication, self actualization, and more. Because of its benefits and function, its hard to seperate internet with human activities. One of them is information dissemination through social media and all the information in social media can be spread rapidly, through articles, pictures, or even videos. One of the popular information that people like to access is the information about leisure activities and recreation. In this research, the researcher is trying to find wheter social media will influence individuals choice to consume leisure abd recreation. Is there any sign that the individual from this research do or done leisure and recreation activities after seeing them in their social media.

"ABSTRAK
Tesis ini meneliti pola konsumsi musik pengguna media sosial dan pengaruhnya
terhadap keputusan pembelian karya musik bentuk fisik (Compact Disc). Teori
yang digunakan adalah teori uses and gratification dimana pengguna internet,
terutama pengguna media sosial dapat bebas memilih cara serta medium yang
ingin mereka gunakan dalam mengkonsumsi musik dan teori perilaku konsumen.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksplanatif, yaitu
mencari kejelasan hubungan pengaruh pola sikap konsumsi musik pengguna
media sosial terhadap keputusan pembelian karya musik bentuk fisik. Pengujian
sendiri dilakukan kepada para pengguna media sosial yang berdomisili di
Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, dan Bekasi). Hasil penelitian
menujukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup lemah antara pola konsumsi
pengguna media sosial terhadap keputusan pembelian karya musik bentuk fisik.
Untuk itu disarankan agar karya musik dapat dipasarkan dalam format digital agar
dapat menjangkau lebih banyak konsumen.

ABSTRACT
This thesis examines the patterns of music consumption users of social media and
its influence on purchasing decisions musical works of physical form (Compact
Disc). This thesis used uses and gratification theory where internet users,
especially users of social media and can freely choose which medium they want to
use to consume music and the theory of consumer behavior.
This research is a quantitative research with explanative design, which sought to
clarify the relationship influence the attitude of music consumption patterns of
users of social media on purchase decisions musical works of physical form. The
test itself is done to the social media users who live in Jabodetabek (Jakarta,
Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi). The results showed that there is a fairly
weak relationship between the consumption patterns of users of social media on
purchase decisions musical works of physical form. It is recommended that a
piece of music can be marketed in digital format in order to reach more
consumers."

"ABSTRAK
Penggunaan media sosial telah mempengaruhi beberapa aspek kehidupan kita. Sebelumnya, untuk menunjukkan bahwa seseorang memiliki sesuatu mereka menggunakan media tradisional. Saat ini, dengan kemudahan akses ke media sosial aktivitas sosial dapat dengan mudah ditunjukkan kepada orang lain untuk merepresentasikan status. Aktivitas pamer melalui media sosial media yang bertujuan untuk mengesankan audiens ini disebut sebagai conspicuous consumption. Conspicuous consumption terjadi saat seseorang mengkonsumsi sesuatu untuk menunjukkan kelas sosial mereka. Biasanya, untuk produk atau aktivitas ritual keagamaan, conspicuous consumption tidak dilakukan. Namun, dengan adanya media sosial, ritual keagamaan mudah ditemukan di media sosial. Posting aktivitas keagamaan ini banyak di lakukan oleh generasi muda atau millennials. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis, penelitian ini berusaha menggali alasan generasi millennials melakukan posting aktivitas keagamaan mereka di media sosial. Melalui photo elicitation interview, penelitian ini juga menjelaskan produk religious yang di posting dalam media sosial beserta karakteristiknya. Hasil interview menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua aktivitas keagamaan dapat di posting melalui sosial media. Terdapat karakteristik tertentu dari produk atau aktivitas keagamaan untuk dapat diposting.

ABSTRACT
Massive usage of social media has changes several areas of our life. Before, people are using traditional media to show that they ldquo have rdquo something. Now, with the access to the social media people are easily show their activities to present their status. This ldquo show off rdquo activities through social media with the purpose to impress audients are called as conspicuous consumption. Conspicuous consumption happens when people are consuming product and show their consumption activities to state their status or social class. Normally, for a religious product or activities consumers are prohibited to extensively show the activities mostly when it related to religious sacred rituals. But, with the existence of social media, religious sacred rituals are easily found in social media, mostly in younger generation. Using phenomenological approach, this research seeks to explore the reason of younger generation posting their religious activities in social media. Through in depth interview this research also explores the various religious products posted in social media and its characteristic. Purposive convenience data sampling is used to recruit informants. The recordings are transcribed through verbatim transcription and analyzed using thematic analysis. The result found that there are several reasons for young generation to post their religious sacred rituals and not all religious products are consumed conspicuously. There are specific characteristics for the products to be shown off. "

"[Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh persaingan kompetitif antar produsen yang mendorong produsen untuk menyusun strategi pemasaran demi terserapnya kelimpahruahan produksi. Produsen berupaya menciptakan imaji kebutuhan melalui sistem tanda pada media sosial dengan konsep endorsement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membongkar pemanfaatan sistem tanda pada media sosial yang dilakukan produsen untuk membangkitkan konsumsi. Berbasis teori Masyarakat Konsumsi dari Jean Baudrillard, penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma kritis dan metode analisis semiotika Roland Barthes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produsen menyelipkan aktivitas pemasaran melalui sistem tanda pada foto endorser di Instagram. Temuan lain dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat relasi saling memasarkan antara produsen dan endorser.

"Peran media sosial dalam Hallyu sangat menarik karena media sosial membuka akses kepada lebih banyak khalayak untuk memperoleh serta menikmati K-Pop. Akibat dari perkembangan teknologi dan media sosial, konsumen tidak lagi hanya menikmati konten tetapi juga menghasilkan produk. Jenkins menyebutnya dengan istilah budaya partisipatif. Pada makalah ini, penulis akan menganalisis salah satu fa ndom yang terkenal di Twitter yaitu ARMY. Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah hendak melihat bagaimana penerapan budaya partisipatif yang dilakukan oleh penggemar BTS, dilihat dari akun penggemar di media sosial Twitter. Akun penggemar yang dipilih adalah @choi_bts2 dan @almostdita. Penulis menemukan bahwa kedua akun tersebut menerapkan empat bentuk budaya partisipatif oleh Jenkins yaitu keanggotaan (affiliations), ekspresi (expressions), kolaborasi memecahkan masalah (collaborative problem solving), dan sirkulasi (circulations).

The role of social media in Hallyu is very interesting because social media opens access to more audiences to get and enjoy K-Pop. As a result of the development of technology and social media, consumers no longer only enjoy content but also produce content. Jenkins calls it participatory culture. In this paper, the author will analyze one of the famous fandoms on Twitter, ARMY. The purpose of this paper is to see how the implementation of participatory culture is carried out by BTS fans, seen from fan accounts on Twitter. The selected fan accounts are @choi_bts2 and @almostdita. The author finds that both accounts apply four forms of participatory culture by Jenkins, namely affiliations, expressions, collaborative problem solving , and circulations. "

"Penggunaan media sosial menjadi sangat lazim di masyarakat saat ini seiring dengan bangkitnya digitalisasi. Penelitian telah menunjukkan pengaruh penggunaan media sosial terhadap rasa kesepian dan orientasi perbandingan sosial. Namun, interaksi spesifik antara rasa kesepian, orientasi perbandingan sosial, dan konsumsi TikTok masih belum dieksplorasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara rasa kesepian dan orientasi perbandingan social dengan konsumsi TikTok. Peserta yang diidentifikasi sebagai pengguna TikTok (N = 381) direkrut melalui survei korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rasa kesepian dan orientasi perbandingan sosial memiliki hubungan positif dengan konsumsi TikTok yang menunjukkan bahwa pengguna yang merasa lebih kesepian dan memiliki orientasi perbandingan sosial yang tinggi akan cenderung lebih sering mengkonsumsi TikTok. Berdasarkan hasil studi ini disarankan untuk membatasi waktu pemakaian gadget dan memperhatikan jenis konten yang dilihat.

The use of social media has become highly prevalent in today’s society with the rise of digitalization. Past research has shown the effect of social media use on people’s loneliness and social comparison orientation respectively. However, the specific interplay between loneliness, social comparison orientation, and TikTok consumption has yet to be explored. The current study aims to investigate the relationship between loneliness and social comparison orientation with TikTok consumption. Participants who identified as TikTok users (N = 381) were recruited through a correlational survey. Results showed both loneliness and social comparison orientation had a positive relationship with TikTok consumption which suggests its users who are highly lonely and have a high social comparison orientation will tend to have higher consumption of TikTok. Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested to limit one’s screen time and keep mindful of the type of content viewed. "The advancement of technology in social media has penetrated into all areas of life such as economies, business, entertainment, education, and culture. The need of the information media such as the internet is rapidly growing. Its role has been widely spread in human life for various aspects of life. This study aims to look at now The Culture and Tourism Office of Bantul Regency use social media in preserving local culture and disseminating information on art and culture as well as the natural wealth in Bantul Regency. This study drew the data from observation and related materials from libraries and internet. The results of this study indicate social media plays an important role in preserving culture preservation in Bantul regency. Websites have been used to inform the activities of The Culture and Tourism Office of Bantul Regency in preserving local culture. It also disseminates schedules of cultural events as well as photos and videos."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan konstruksi identitas individu melalui presentasi diri dalam unggahan tren self-reward menggunakan luxury fashion goods di media sosial, serta mengungkap pemaknaan dari self-reward tersebut. Studi-studi terdahulu mengenai fenomena ini terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu presentasi diri melalui praktik self-reward, dan konstruksi identitas melalui konsumsi luxury fashion goods. Namun, hingga kini belum banyak studi yang melihat perpaduan antara kedua aspek ini, yaitu pemaknaan terhadap self-reward dan kaitannya dengan konstruksi identitas melalui praktik self-reward menggunakan luxury fashion goods, khususnya dalam konteks di media sosial. Peneliti berargumen bahwa presentasi diri yang ditampilkan dalam unggahan self-reward menggunakan luxury fashion goods di media sosial merupakan perilaku konsumsi mencolok yang berpengaruh terhadap konstruksi identitas individu. Dengan menggunakan teori presentasi diri yang disampaikan oleh Erving Goffman dan konsep conspicuous consumption oleh Veblen sebagai alat analisis, hasil temuan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa self-reward menggunakan luxury fashion goods merupakan justifikasi gaya hidup hedonic yang berkontribusi pada pembentukan identitas individu. Kegemaran mengkonsumsi produk tersier seperti luxury fashion, membuat setiap pembeliannya dimaknai sebagai wujud apresiasi dan mencintai diri sendiri. Dengan mengunggah hadiah yang memiliki keterbatasan jumlah, harga yang tinggi, dan nilai materialisme seperti luxury fashion, mampu membentuk identitas diri pada pengguna, seperti elegan, pekerja keras, mampu, independen, hingga stand-out. Namun, keterbatasan atribut komunikasi secara digital dapat pula membentuk identitas yang tidak diharapkan, seperti sombong dan pamer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam dan observasi digital pada individu yang mengunggah self-reward menggunakan luxury fashion goods di Instagram dan TikTok.

This study aims to explain the construction of individual identity through selfpresentation in uploading self-reward trends using luxury fashion goods on social media, as well as uncovering the meaning of self-reward. Previous studies on this phenomenon are divided into two, namely self-presentation through self-reward practices, and identity construction through the consumption of luxury fashion goods. However, until now not many studies have looked at the combination of these two aspects, namely the meaning of self-reward and its relation to identity construction through self-reward practices using luxury fashion goods, especially in the context of social media. Researchers argue that self-presentation shown in self-reward uploads using luxury fashion goods on social media is conspicuous consumption behavior that influences the construction of individual identities. By using the self-presentation theory presented by Erving Goffman and the concept of conspicuous consumption by Veblen as analytical tools, the findings of this study suggest that self-reward using luxury fashion goods is a justification for a hedonic lifestyle that contributes to the formation of individual identity. The penchant for consuming tertiary products, such as luxury fashion, interprets every purchase as a form of appreciation and self-love. Uploading gifts that have limited quantities, high prices, and materialistic values, such as luxury fashion, can form self-identities in users, such as elegant, hardworking, capable, and independent, to stand out. However, with limited digital communication can also form unexpected identities, such as being arrogant and showing off. This study uses a qualitative method with in-depth interview techniques and digital observation of individuals who upload self-rewards using luxury fashion goods on Instagram and TikTok."
