"Co-branding sebagai salah satu strategi pemasaran dilakukan oleh pemasar merek untuk bersaing dengan merek lainnya. Studi ini menguji keberadaan mediator dalam hubungan self-image congruence, product quality dan image fit, terhadap purchase intention, yaitu melalui brand attachment, product category involvement dan attitude towards co-branding product. Untuk menguji enam hipotesis dilakukan pengumpulan data dari 220 responden yang dipilih berdasarkan metode purposive sampling. Adapun responden dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumen generasi milenial dan generasi Z yang mengetahui merek Somethinc dan Kopi Kenangan. Melalui teknik Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) ditemukan bahwa tiga hipotesis didukung dalam penelitian ini dan menunjukkan bahwa efek mediasi memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap niat beli konsumen terhadap produk co-branding industri kecantikan. Melalui penelitian ini, marketer dapat meningkatkan kesesuaian citra diri konsumen dengan merek, kesesuaian merek yang berkolaborasi dan kualitas produk dalam praktik co-branding sehingga niat beli konsumen dapat meningkat dengan signifikan.

Co-branding is one of the marketing strategies carried out by brand marketers to compete with other brands. This study proves the existence of mediators in the relationship between self-image congruence, product quality and image fit on purchase intention, through brand attachment, product category involvement and attitudes towards co-branding product. To examine the six hypotheses, data were collected from 220 respondents selected based on the purposive sampling method. The respondents in this study were millennial and generation Z consumers who knew the Somethinc and Kopi Kenangan. Through the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique, it was found that three hypotheses were supported in this study and showed that the mediation effect had a significant influence on consumer purchase intention towards co-branding products in the beauty industry. Through this study, marketers can improve the congruity of consumer self-image with the brand, the suitability of collaborating brands and product quality in co-branding so that consumer purchase intention can increase significantly."

"ABSTRAK
Tesis ini bertujuan untuk membahas pengaruh brand name, product involvement, dan consumer ethnocentrism terhadap purchase intention. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimen dengan factorial design 2 (brand name: local vs foreign name) x2 (product involvement: low vs high involvement) x2 (consumer ethnocentrism: low vs high ethnocentrism). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa foreign name memiliki purchase intention yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan local name. Hasil yang sama terjadi ketika foreign name dikombinasikan dengan low-involvement product, sedangkan pada high-involvement product, tidak terdapat perbedaan purchase intention antara penggunaan foreign name dan local name. Ketika foreign name dikombinasikan dengan low ethnocentrism pengaruh foreign name terhadap purchase intention lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan local name, sedangkan pada konsumen dengan high ethnocentrism, pengaruh local name terhadap purchase intention tidak memiliki perbedaan dengan foreign name. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa pada kondisi low involvement dan low ethnocentrism, foreign name memiliki purchase intention yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan local name, sedangkan pada kondisi high involvement dan high ethnocentrism, local name memiliki purchase intention yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan foreign name. Hasil penelitian bermanfaat bagi perusahaan dalam mendesain nama merek yang tepat sesuai dengan tingkat involvement dari produk yang dipasarkan dan juga tingkat ethnocentrisme konsumen.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discussed the effect of brand name, product involvement, and consumer ethnocentrism towards purchase intention. This study used experimental approach with factorial design 2 (brand name: local vs foreign name) x2 (product involvement: low vs high involvement) x2 (consumer ethnocentrism: low vs high ethnocentrism. The results showed that in general, foreign names have higher purchase intention and gave. The same outcome occurred when foreign name were combined with low-involvement products, whereas in high-involvement products, there were no interaction effect between foreign and local name. When foreign name were combined with low ethnocentrism, the effect of foreign name will be higher than local name, while for ethnocentric consumer, the effect of local name toward purchase intention was not significantly different compared with foreign name. This study also showed that in the condition of low involvement and low ethnocentrism, foreign name have higher purchase intention compared to local name. While, in high involvement and high ethnocentrism condition, local name have higher purchase intention compared to foreign name. This study gave managerial implication which beneficial for companies in designing appropriate brand name according to the level of involvement of the product they offer to consumer and level of consumer ethnocentrism."

"Penelitian ini menguji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi sikap terhadap produk tiruan dari produk bermerek mewah, yaitu kesadaran akan merek, kepuasan pribadi, kesadaran akan nilai, inferensi harga-kualitas, pengaruh sosial, dan gengsi suatu merek. Berdasarkan data dari 212 konsumen dapat diketahui bahwa kesadaran akan nilai, inferensi harga-kualitas, dan pengaruh sosial memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap sikap terhadap produk tiruan dari produk bermerek mewah. Sedangkan kesadaran akan merek, kepuasan pribadi, dan gengsi suatu merek tidak memiliki pengaruh yang siginifikan tehadap sikap terhadap produk tiruan dari produk bermerek mewah. Sikap terhadap produk tiruan dari produk bermerek mewah memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap intensi pembelian produk tiruan dari produk bermerek mewah.

This paper examines the factors that influence the attitudes towards counterfeit luxury brand, which are brand conscious, personal gratification, value conscious, price-quality inference, social influence, and brand prestige. Based on data collected from 212 consumers, value conscious, price-quality inference, and social influence were found to significantly influence attitudes towards counterfeit luxury brand. There was no significant relationship with brand conscious, personal gratification, and brand prestige. Attitudes towards counterfeit luxury brand were found to influence intention to purchase counterfeit luxury brand."

"Konsumsi kopi di Indonesia naik empat kali lipat sejak tahun 1990 dan generasi muda seperti milenial dan Gen-Z di Indonesia mulai berpindah dari mengonsumsi teh ke mengonsumsi kopi. Peristiwa ini telah menyebabkan revolusi industry kopi di Indonesia dengan bermunculannya berbagai macam merek kopi grab-n-go. Penelitian ini fokus kepada satu merek kopi grab-n-go yaitu Kopi Kenangan. Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak dari keterikatan emosional konsumen Indonesia dengan Kopi kenangan terhadap consumer-based brand equity dari Kopi Kenangan. Penilitian ini menggunakan model penelitian yang menggambarkan hubungan antara keterikatan emosional konsumen terhadap berbagai layanan media sosial dan consumer-based brand equity melalui kredibilitas merek dan kepuasan konsumen. Sebanyak 150 responden valid berhasil dikumpulkan melalui metode convenience sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan hubungan dari keterikatan emosional konsumen dengan sebuah merek terhadap consumer-based brand equity yang di mediasi oleh kredibilitas merek dan kepuasan konsumen dengan menganalisis data menggunakan PLS-SEM. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan dan memberikan saran kepada merek kopi grab-n-go lainnya untuk meningkatkan consumer-based brand equity mereka dengan memperbesar kredibilitas merek, kepuasan konsumen, dan keterikatan emosional dengan sebuah merek.

Coffee consumption in Indonesia have quadrupled since 1990 and younger generations like millennials and Gen-Z are increasingly switching from tea to coffee consumption. This has led to the revolution of the coffee industry in Indonesia with the emergence of the so-called “grab-n-go” coffee shops. This research focuses one brand of grab-n-go coffee which is Kopi Kenangan. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of Indonesian consumers’ emotional brand attachment with Kopi Kenangan towards the consumer-base brand equity of the brand. This research utilizes the framework that depicts the relationship between consumers’ emotional attachment to social media brands and its consumer-based brand equity through brand credibility and consumer satisfaction. A total of 150 valid respondents were collected through a convenience sampling method. The result of this research proves the relationship between emotional brand attachment and consumer-based brand equity but is significantly mediated by brand credibility and consumer satisfaction by analyzing the data using PLS-SEM. This study implies and makes suggestions for other grab-n-go coffee brands to improve their consumer-based brand equity by enhancing brand credibility, consumer satisfaction, and emotional brand attachment."

"Di era digital saat ini, semakin banyak pilihan alat pemasaran yang menguntungkan dan efektif guna menyasar konsumen, salah satunya melalui product placement. Praktik product placement yang baik harus meliputi faktor-faktor yang berkaitan dengan karakteristik audience. Selain melalui brand recall, efektifitas product placement dapat dinilai lebih jauh lagi melalui brand attitude dan purchase intention yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh karakteristik audience terhadap sikap merek dan intensi pembelian bagi audience yang mampu mengingat adanya merek dalam video musik. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh dari variabel-varibel yang menjadi karakteristik audience seperti pleasure, arousal, cognitive effort, star liking, identification with characters terhadap sikap merek dan intensi pembelian. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah konklusif-deskriptif dan bersifat single cross sectional. Data yang diperoleh dari 201 responden, yang mampu mengingat adanya merek yang disisipkan dalam video musik, diolah menggunakan Partial Least Square-Sequential Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) di SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya karakteristik cognitive effort saja yang memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap brand attitude dan purchase intention. Karakteristik audience lainnya memiliki pengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap brand attitude dan purchase intention jika melalui identification with characters terlebih dahulu. Variabel tersebut berperan penting dalam keberhasilan efektifitas product placement dalam video musik.

In the current digital era, there are more choices of profitable and effective marketing tools to targeting consumers. Product placement is one form of its. A good product placement practice must include the factors related to audience characteristics. The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of audience characteristics on brand attitude and purchase intention for audience who were able to recall brands in the music video. This study examines the effect of variables that are characteristic of audiences such as pleasure, arousal, cognitive effort, star liking, identification with characters on brand attitudes and purchase intentions. This study used conclusive-descriptive and single-cross sectional research design. Data obtained from 201 respondents, who were able to recall the brands inserted in a music video, were processed using Partial Least Square- Sequential Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS. The results demonstrate that only cognitive effort has a direct influence on brand attitude and brand recall. The other audience characteristics have an indirect influence on brand attitude and purchase intention through identification with characters. That variable plays a significant role in the effectiveness of product placement."

"This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of electronic word of mouth EWOM, brand awareness and brand image on purchase intention of online transportation in Indonesia. The research data is based on 338 respondents who have taken the online questionnaire, and are those who have not yet used online transportation in Indonesia, but have obtained information about it through online media. Purposive sampling method has been used in this research where population members selected to participate in this research is based on the authors judgment. The analysis method used is structural equation model SEM through AMOS software.
The result shows that there is a positive and significant influence of electronic word of mouth, brand awareness, and brand image on purchase intention with brand image as a mediator between electronic word of mouth, brand awareness and purchase intention variables. This research certainly has several limitations, thus future research may include other variables in order to obtain new knowledge and understanding in the context of online transport.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisa pengaruh electronic word of mouth, brand awareness, dan brand image terhadap purchase intention pada transportasi online di Indonesia. Data penelitian berdasarkan 338 responden yang berpartisipasi melalui kuisioner online, dan responden yang belum pernah menggunakan transportasi online di Indonesia, tetapi pernah membaca informasi terkait transportasi online via media online. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling, yaitu pemilihan sampel dengan beberapa kriteria tertentu/ Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah structural equation model SEM dengan bantuan software AMOS.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan variabel electronic word of mouth, brand awareness, brand image terhadap purchase intention, serta brand image berperan sebagai mediator antara electronic word of mouth, brand awareness dan purchase intention. Penelitian ini tentunya memiliki beberapa keterbatasan, sehingga penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk menggunakan variabel penelitian lainnya yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman baru dalam konteks transportasi online.

"Beragam strategi branding banyak dilakukan oleh pemasar agar brand mereka dapat di kenal khalayak masyarakat luas dan dapat meningkatkan keuntungan perusahaan. Salah satu strategi yang sedang populer adalah penggunaan strategi brand partnership di dalam luxury brand yang sedang mengalami pertumbuhan secara global. Namun, sayangnya masih belum banyak perusahaan yang dapat menemukan co-brand yang sesuai untuk membuat strategi tersebut efektif. Hal tersebut terjadi karena telah ditemukan bahwa perceived fit atas co-brand dapat mempengaruhi perilaku konsumen, sehingga perceived fit yang terdiri dari brand image fit dan product category fit memiliki peran yang penting dalam kesuksesan strategi brand partnership ini. Sehingga penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat pengaruh brand partnership antara luxury brand dan non-luxury brand dengan fokusnya dilihat dari peran brand image fit dan product category fit terhadap purchase intention konsumen dalam sektor pakaian dan sepatu mewah. Model yang dikembangkan kemudian diuji menggunakan SPSS berdasarkan data yang diperoleh melalui survei kepada konsumen barang mewah dengan kisaran usia antara 18 hingga 29 tahun berdomisili di Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menjalankan strategi brand partnership, faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi purchase intention konsumen adalah product category fit saja dan tidak diperlukan adanya brand image fit. Implikasi manajerial serta saran bagi penelitian selanjutnya juga dibahas pada penelitian ini.

Several kinds of branding strategies have been used a lot by marketers for the objective of making their brand acknowledged by the society and to increase profit. Nowadays, one of the popular strategies is the use of brand partnership strategy in the luxury brand that is having a tremendous global growth in the market. However, it turns out that there are still companies that could not find the suitable co brand that can make this strategy work effectively. It happened because studies said that perceived fit about the co brand can influence consumer behavior. Thus, perceived fit, which includes brand image fit and product category fit, has important roles on the success of this strategy. Therefore, this research is aimed to see the influence of brand partnership between luxury brand and non luxury brand, focusing on the role of brand image fit and product category fit toward consumer rsquo s purchase intention in luxury clothing sector. Constructed model will be tested with SPSS based on data gained using online survey which consists of people who consumed Luxury Goods aged between 18 and 29 years old and residing in Jabodetabek. The result shows that to use brand partnership strategy, factors that influence consumer rsquo s purchase intention would only be the product category fit."

"Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh brand image L’Oréal terhadap minat beli produk "L’Oréal Men Expert" pada konsumen pria di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 pria berusia 25 - 54 tahun, yang mengetahui produk “L’Oréal Men Expert”, namun belum pernah membeli produk tersebut, serta berdomisili di wilayah Jakarta. Metode yang peneliti gunakan adalah nonprobability sampling, serta teknik penarikan sampel purposive. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner, dan data dianalisis menggunakan linear regression. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa brand image L’Oréal memiliki pengaruh yang kuat terhadap minat beli produk "L’Oréal Men Expert" pada konsumen pria di Jakarta. Brand Image memiliki pengaruh sebesar 52.6% dan sisanya sebesar 47.4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

The objective of this research is to analyze how is the effect of brand image of L’Oréal towards the purchase intention of "L’Oréal Men Expert" product on men in Jakarta. This research applied the quantitative approach. The sample of this research is 100 men aged 25-54 years old, who knows "L’Oréal Men Expert" product, yet have never bought the product. The method used in this research is the non-probability sampling method, with purposive sampling technique. This research used questionnaire as the research instrument, and analyzed the data using linear regression. The result of this research indicates that brand image of L’Oréal has a strong effect towards the purchase intention of “L’Oréal Men Expert” product on men in Jakarta. The effect of brand image towards the purchase intention is equal to 52.6%, and the residue is equal to 47.4% for the effect of other factors."

"Beberapa penelitian meneliti pengaruh ecolabel pada intensi pembelian produk berkemasan ramah lingkungan, namun hanya sedikit yang meneliti pengaruh ecolabel dalam konteks kredibilitas ecolabel tersebut. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi faktor yang menentukan intensi pembelian customer pada produk berkemasan ramah lingkungan dalam konteks produk FMCG di Indonesia. Survei ini dilakukan terhadap lebih dari 500 responden yang telah membeli produk FMCG sebelumnya. Studi ini menemukan bahwa Green Price, Green Advertising, Green Packaging, Greenwashing, dan Ecolabel menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi minat beli dengan pengaruh Greenwashing yang mengurangi minat pembelian pada customer. Mengingat baru beberapa penelitian yang membahas topik ini, terlebih di Indonesia, maka hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pandangan baru bagaimana ecolabel memberikan peran yang penting bagi kredibilitas produk berkemasan ramah lingkungan serta gambaran bagaimana bauran pemasaran mempengaruhi perilaku pembelian customer FMCG di Indonesia.

Several studies have examined the influence of ecolabels on the purchase intention of environmentally friendly packaged products, but few have examined the influence of ecolabels in the context of the credibility of ecolabels. This study aims to explore the factors that determine customer purchase intention in environmentally friendly packaged products in the context of FMCG products in Indonesia. This survey was conducted on more than 500 respondents who had purchased FMCG products before. This study found that Green Price, Green Advertising, Green Packaging, Greenwashing, and Ecolabel are factors that affect buying interest with the influence of Greenwashing which reduces buying interest in customers. Considering that there are only a few studies that discuss this topic, especially in Indonesia, the results of this study are expected to provide a new view of how ecolabels play an important role in the credibility of environmentally friendly packaged products and an overview of how the marketing mix affects the purchasing behavior of FMCG customers in Indonesia."

"Penelitian mengenai penggunaan media cerita dalam dunia pemasaran FMCG sudah cukup banyak dilakukan. Meski demikian, penelitian spesifik yang membahas penggunaan short brand story di kemasan fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) belum banyak dilakukan dan bahkan belum ada di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh dari short brand story terhadap purchase intention dengan perceived brand quality sebagai mediator. Short brand story (SBS) dibedakan menjadi self-transcendence dan self- enhancement. Penelitian ini diikuti oleh 432 partisipan yang berusia minimal 18 tahun secara daring. Alat ukur dari Schiffman dan Wisenblit (2015) digunakan untuk mengukur purchase intention dan perceived brand quality dari Boulding dan Kirmani (1993). Analisis Process dari Hayes menemukan bahwa SBS memengaruhi perceived brand quality secara positif. Di saat yang bersamaan, perceived brand quality juga memengaruhi purchase intention secara positif, sehingga efek mediasi dinyatakan hadir dalam penelitian ini. Selain itu, perhitungan statistik juga menemukan bahwa short brand story tipe self-transcendence memiliki perceived brand quality dan purchase intention yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan tipe self - enhancement. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan masukan kepada produsen fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) untuk menghadirkan inovasi terbaru terkait pemasaran produknya.

A lot of studies on the use of story media in FMCG marketing have been done quite a lot previously. However, a study that discusses the use of short brand stories in FMCG packaging has not been widely carried out and is not even available yet in Indonesia. Therefore, this study was conducted to see the effect of short brand stories on purchase intentions with the perceived brand quality acts as a mediator. Short brand stories are differentiated into self-transcendence and self-enhancement. This study was conducted online and attended by 432 participants who are at least 18 years old minimum of age. Purchase intention is measured using measurement scale adapted from Schiffman and Wisenblit (2015) and perceived brand quality is measured using measurement scare adapted from Boulding and Kirmani (1993). Process analysis from Hayes found that SBS positively influenced perceived brand quality, and at the same time, perceived brand quality positively influenced purchase intention. Therefore, the mediation effect is presented in this study. In addition, the statistics measurement also found that the self-transcendence type short brand story has a higher perceived brand quality and purchase intention than the self-enhancement type. The results of this study provide input to fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) producers in presenting the latest innovations related to product marketing."
