Tesis ini membahas mengenai strategi bisnis, ekspansi internasional serta budaya korporasi perusahaan Jepang Fast Retailing dengan fokus terhadap label UNIQLO. Persaingan yang semakin ketat dalam bidang fashion retailing mengharuskan perusahaan-perusahaan yang bergerak di dalamnya untuk memiliki keunggulan yang membedakan diri mereka dengan kompetitor lain. UNIQLO sebagai pemain dari Jepang memiliki strategi sendiri untuk bisa berkembang ke seluruh dunia.
ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses the business strategy, international expansion and corporate culture of a Japanese company Fast Retailing, focusing on their UNIQLO label. Increasingly fierce competition in the field of fashion retailing requires companies who engaged in it to have the special quality that distinguish themselves with other competitors. Generasi muda Indonesia yang berusia antara 15-34 tahun adalah pasar yang potensial bagi UNIQLO. UNIQLO memulai membuka tokonya dari tahun 2013 bersaing dengan brand terkenal lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengapa UNIQLO yang merupakan brand dari Jepang yang baru masuk ke Indonesia dapat dengan cepat diterima di Indonesia dan mengetahui bagaimana alur konsumen anak muda Indonesia dalam memutuskan pembelian produk UNIQLO. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep rangsangan pemasaran dari Kotler dan alur keputusan pembelian dan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan menggunakan kajian literature dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada lima orang konsumen anak muda kelas menengah Indonesia. Penelitian ini menemukan, strategi UNIQLO dalam memasuki pasar konsumen Indonesia berdasarkan rangsangan pemasaran Kotler, produk yang dijual UNIQLO bagi konsumen kelas menengah dengan menawarkan kenyamanan dalam berpakaian. Alur keputusan pembelian konsumen membeli UNIQLO karena menawarkan produk yang sesuai dengan konsep zen pada budaya Jepang yang mementingkan kesederhanaan dan fungsional. ......Indonesian youth between 15-34 years old is a potential market for UNIQLO. UNIQLO start opening the store on 2013 compete with other popular brands. The purpose of these studies are to find out why UNIQLO, a brand from Japan, that has just entered Indonesia can quickly be accepted in Indonesia and how is the flow of Indonesian youth consumers in deciding to purchase UNIQLO products. These studies uses the concept of marketing stimuli from Kotler and the flow of buyer decision and qualitative method using literature studies and conducted the interview with five Indonesian middle class youth consumers. These studies found that UNIQLO strategy entering Indonesian consumer market base on Kotlers marketing stimuli is the products which UNIQLO sell, for middle class consumer are offering comfort in dressing. The flow of buyer decision show that consumers buying the UNIQLO because UNIQLO offering the products accordance with Japanese culture of zen concept that emphasize simplicity and functionality.

Brand image dianggap salah satu aspek yang paling penting dalam mempengaruhi minat dalam memilih brand. Konsumen dapat menciptakan nilai yang dirasakan dan kualitas berdasarkan brand image dengan menciptakan citra kualitas dan kehandalan, yang menjamin konsumen saat akan melakukan pembelian. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengaruh brand image UNIQLO pada produk pakaian UNIQLO. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bagaimana brand image UNIQLO pada produk pakaian UNIQLO di Jakarta.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksplanatif dan bertujuan untuk menjelaskan variabel brand image. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 orang konsumen UNIQLO dengan menggunakan metode non-probability sampling dengan teknik purposive. lnstrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara brand image sebagai variabel independen dan repurchase intention sebagai variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa brand image produk pakaian UNIQLO tinggi dan dimensi brand image yang paling kuat adalah dimensi attribute. ......Brand image is considered as one of the most important aspects that influences most important aspects in influencing interest in choosing a brand. Consumers create perceived value and quality based on brand image that creates an image of quality and reliability, which ensures consumers to make a purchase. This study's purpose is to analyze the influence of brand image on UNIQLO clothing products. This study uses quantitative approach. The sample in this study was l00 people UNIQLO consumers using non-probability sampling with purposive technique. The research instruments used questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that there are brand image of UNIQLO apparel products at a high category and dimensions of brand image with the highest value are in the dimension attribute.

Beberapa tahun terakhir ini industri fashion mengalami perkembangan pesat yang menyebabkan persaingan antara merek semakin ketat. Untuk menyiasati ketatnya persaingan dalam industri fashion, merek perlu menerapkan strategi tertentu. Co-branding merupakan strategi permasaran berbasis kolaboratif yang banyak digunakan oleh merek. UNIQLO merupakan salah satu merek yang berhasil dalam menerapkan strategi co-branding dengan menyasar komunitas manga dan anime. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi kualitatif, jurnal ini menganalisis strtaegi co-branding yang telah diterapkan oleh UNIQLO dengan karakter manga dan anime terhadap spill offers effect, penurunan risiko saat peluncuran produk baru, dan peningkatan pendapatan merek. ......In recent years, the fashion industry has been rapidly growing, which has led to tighter competition between brands. To address the tight competition in the fashion industry, brands need to use particular strategies. Co-branding is a collaborative-based marketing strategy that many brands use. UNIQLO is one brand that has successfully implemented a co-branding strategy by targeting the manga and anime community. Using a qualitative content analysis method, this journal analyzes the co-branding strategy that UNIQLO has implemented with manga and anime characters toward the spill offers effect, decreased risk during the launch of new products, and increased brand revenue.

Peningkatan tren belanja masyarakat membuat sektor ritel di Indonesia telah berkembang pesat. Ditambah dengan runtuhnya batasan antara lingkungan virtual dan kehidupan nyata berdampak pada masa depan ritel yang diperkirakan akan didominasi oleh ritel omni-channel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki peran mediasi perceived anjoyment dan attitude consistency untuk mengungkap bagaimana faktor lingkungan omni-channel dari interaction fluency, convenience, price advantage dan personalization berkontribusi terhadap omni-channel shopping intention berdasarkan kerangka S-O-R. Survei dilakukan terhadap konsumen yang pernah berbelanja di toko online dan offline Uniqlo melalui kuesioner online, dan 170 data dikumpulkan untuk dianalisis menggunakan PLSSEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaction fluency dan personalization secara positif mempengaruhi perceived enjoyment dan attitude consistency dan attitude consistency memediasi pengaruh interaction fluency terhadap omnichannel shopping intention. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa faktor interactiojn fluency dan personalization dalam ritel omni-channel memerlukan keadaan afektif konsumen sesaat dan berkelanjutan untuk memfasilitasi omnichanel shopping intention. ......Increasing public shopping trends have meant that the retail sector in Indonesia has developed rapidly. This coupled with the collapse of boundaries between virtual and real-life environments has an impact on the future of retail which is expected to be dominated by omni-channel retail. This research aims to investigate the mediating role of perceived enjoyment and attitude consistency to reveal how omnichannel environmental factors such as interaction fluency, convenience, price advantage and personalization contribute to omni-channel shopping intention based on the S-O-R framework. Surveys were conducted on consumers who had shopped at Uniqlo online and offline stores via online questionnaires, and 170 data were collected for analysis using PLS-SEM. The research results show that interaction fluency and personalization positively influence perceived enjoyment and attitude consistency and attitude consistency mediates the influence of interaction fluency on omni-channel shopping intention. The findings of this research are that interaction fluency and personalization factors in omni-channel retail require momentary and sustained consumer affective states to facilitate omni-channel shopping intention.
