"Ajaran kepemimpinan merupakan pedoman untuk menjalankan peran sebagai seorang pemimpin dalam menghadapi berbagai permasalahan. Indonesia merupakan negara kesatuan degan berbagai ragam kebudayaan serta nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya. Salah satunya adalah ajaran kepemimpinan dalam kebudayaan Jawa. Pemimimpin dalam kebudayaan Jawa memiliki perana menjaga keharmonisan hubungan sosial masyarakat dan tatanan pemerintahan. Ajaran kepemimpinan Jawa tidak terlepas dari Asthabrata. Salah satu naskah yang mengandung ajaran tersebut adalah Serat Sestradisuhul yang ditulis oleh Paku Alam II (1829 – 1858). Berdasarkan naskah tersebut juga ditulis sebauah buku Ajaran Kepemimpinan Asthabrata Kadipaten Pakualaman oleh K.G.P.A.A. Paku Alam X tahun 2012. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa ajaran kepemimpinan Asthabrata yang terkandung di Serat Sestradisuhul memiliki relevansi dengan masalah kepemimpinan sudah lebih dari seratus tahun . Buku tersebut memuat transkripsi Asthabrata ajaran kepemimpinan yang mendjadi sumber data penelitian ini. Analisis penelitian ini berlandaskan teori makrostruktur dan mikrostruktur dari Teun A. van Dijk tahun 1980. Hal tersebut dilakukan untuk memaparkan lebih rinci tentang ajaran kepemimpinan yang terkandung di dalamnya. Analisis mikrostruktur wacana macapat penelitian ini menganalisis berdasarkan kohesi leksikal berlandaskan teori Halliday dan Hasan tahun 1976. Analisis mikrostruktur dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan proposisi-proposisi yang terkandung di dalam teks berlandaskan teori makrostruktur wacana Teun A. van Dijk tahun 1980. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut dipaparkan bahwa prinsip kepemimpinan Jawa berkaitan dengan tindakan, konsep nilai, dan karakter seorang pemimpin. Hal tersebut diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang prinsip ideal seorang pemimpin agar dapat mengemban jabatan dengan baik.

Leadership teachings are guidelines for carrying out the role of a leader in dealing with various problems. Indonesia is a unitary state with a variety of cultures and values ​​contained therein. One of them is the teaching of leadership in Javanese culture. Leaders in Javanese culture have a role in maintaining the harmony of social relations in society and the order of government. The teachings of Javanese leadership cannot be separated from Asthabrata. One of the texts containing these teachings is the Serat Sestradisuhul written by Paku Alam II (1829 – 1858). Based on the manuscript, a book on the Teaching of Asthabrata Leadership in the Duchy of Pakualaman was also written by K.G.P.A.A. Paku Alam X in 2012. This proves that Asthabrata's leadership teachings contained in Serat Sestradisuhul have been relevant to leadership issues for more than a hundred years. The book contain includes a transcription of Asthabrata's teachings on leadership which is the source of the data for this research. The analysis of this research is based on the theory of macrostructure and microstructure from Teun A. van Dijk in 1980. This is done to explain in more detail the teachings of leadership contained in it. Microstructural analysis of discourse, this research analyzes based on lexical cohesion based on the theory of Halliday and Hasan in 1976. The microstructural analysis is continued with the explanation of the propositions contained in the text based on the discourse macrostructure theory of Teun A. van Dijk in 1980. Based on this analysis, it is explained that the principle of leadership Java relates to the actions, concepts of values, and character of a leader. This is expected to provide insight into the ideal principles of a leader to carry out his position correctly."

"During the Javanese historical development since the First Mataram Empire until today, Javanese cultural concepts as cultural syncretism of early Hindu-Buddhism, latter Hindu-Buddhism and Islam tends to be preserved. In its contact with later concepts from the west, such as formal education, modern politics and the entrance of various ideologies such as nationalism, capitalism, socialism, democracy and so on, has not negated those Javanese cultures. The main problem posed in this article is as follow: to what extent Javanese value of political power has been embraced by elites from Surakarta and Yogyakarta palaces. Whether their values are still strong or has it been diminished. Results reached in this research are: (1) Dominant perception of the elite, shows that their understanding of Javanese political power is still strong. They still strongly embraced the palace tradition and fully involved in all palace's rituals; (2) Western cultural penetration has not able to negate the strong rooted Javanese culture from these palace's elites. Their spirits are still bound to the Javanese culture which surrounded their palace; (3) Javanese sense of political power will play important role when it is positioned as spiritual power to those "njawani" rulers."

"Selain berperan sebagai hiburan, karya sastra juga dapat berperan menjadi cerminan kondisi sosial kelompok tertentu, serta menjadi sebuah kritik terhadap suatu situasi. Dalam Lelakone Si lan Man (disingkat LSLM), antologi cerpen karya Suparto Brata, terdapat nilai-nilai yang menggambarkan kondisi sosial masyarakat Jawa, contohnya maskulinitas. Penelitian ini membahas maskulinitas yang direpresentasikan dalam LSLM. Hal yang dibahas adalah konsep maskulinitas serta pengaruhnya terhadap tokoh laki-laki dalam LSLM. Pembahasan tentang representasi maskulinitas ini juga dikaitkan dengan pandangan dalam budaya Jawa terkait hal itu. Menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis, dengan pendekatan sastra, serta teori gender (khususnya maskulinitas), tulisan ini mengelompokkan maskulinitas yang ada di dalam LSLM menjadi dua kategori besar, yaitu berdasarkan kategori fisik dan kategori non-fisik. Dua kategori besar ini kemudian dikembangkan menjadi bahasan-bahasan yang lebih sempit dan rinci. Kekayaan material, kemampuan memberi keturunan dan tubuh kuat masuk ke dalam kategori fisik, sedangkan stabilitas emosi, tekad kuat, dan sifat kepemimpinan masuk ke dalam kategori non-fisik. Pada akhirnya, konsep maskulinitas yang ada menciptakan sebuah standar sosial bagi laki-laki. Standar sosial yang tercipta dapat memberikan dampak negatif yang cukup besar terhadap kehidupan seseorang

Other than its recreative purposes, literature works can also take part in reflecting certain social conditions and/or social groups, as well as being a critic towards certain situations. In Lelakone Si lan Man (shortened LSLM), an anthology of short stories by Suparto Brata, lies some values which reflects social conditions in Javanese society, for example masculinity. This study examines the representations of masculinity in LSLM, the discussions are then elaborated into two questions, which are; how the concept of masculinity is represented in LSLM and how it affects the male characters. This study also connects the representations of masculinity in LSLM to existed Javanese cultural values. Using descriptive analytic methods, with literature approach, and gender theories (specifically regarding masculinity), this study classifies the representations of masculinity in LSLM into two grand categories, physical and non-physical. These two categories are then narrowed into more specific points. Material wealth, the ability to reproduce, and strong bodies are sorted into the physical category, while emotional stability, strong will, and leadership abilities are sorted into the non-physical category. In the end, the concept of masculinity produced some social standards which creates negative effects towards the life of men in LSLM.

Skripsi ini berisi tentang nilai - nilai religiusitas kesempurnaan hidup yang terdapat dalam buku Susila Budhi Dharma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah nilai - nilai yang terkandung dalam buku Susila Budhi Dharma dan apakah memiliki keterkaitan antara nilai satu dengan yang lainnya. Dengan mengunakan teori deskriptif interpretatif Jan Van Luxemburg, penulis dapat menentukan nilai- nilai religiusitas yang terkandung, memaparkannya, serta menganalisanya sehingga mendapatkan hasil atau kesimpulan yang sistematis tentang pencapaian kesempurnaan hidup ala Susila Budhi Dharma. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa terdapat keterkaitan nilai-nilai religiusitas dalam buku Susila Budhi Dharma tersebut dan membentuk sebuah urutan proses manusia menuju kesempurnaan hidup."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran resiliensi penyintas erupsi Merapi serta mengkaji nilai, norma, dan/atau praktek budaya Jawa apa saja yang terkait dengan kemampuan resiliensi penyintas erupsi Merapi tersebut. Pengertian resiliensi yang dipakai merujuk pada lima karakteristik resiliensi dari Wagnild (2010), yaitu meaningfulness, perseverance, equanimity, self-reliance, dan existential aloneness. Gambaran resiliensi diperoleh dengan menggunakan alat ukur CD-RISC 10 (Connor & Davidson, 2003) dan kajian budaya Jawa diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam. Penelitian ini dilakukan di desa Krinjing yang merupakan salah satu desa yang terdekat dari puncak Gunung Merapi. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 18 orang yang berusia 31-40 tahun dan yang diwawancara mendalam adalah 3 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipan berusia 31-40 tahun mendapatkan skor resiliensi sedang. Adapun budaya Jawa yang terkait dengan kemampuan resiliensi penyintas erupsi Merapi adalah keadaan nrima, iklas, rila dan sabar serta prinsip hidup rukun. Sejumlah saran untuk menindaklanjuti penelitian ini, termasuk mengatasi keterbatasan penelitian, disertakan.

This study was conducted to gain picture of resilience among Merapi eruption survivors, and to assess Javanese values, norms, and/or cultural practices associated with the resilience ability among the survivors. The concept of resilience refers to the five characeristic of resilience from Wagnild (2010), and they are meaningfulness, perseverance, equanimity, self-reliance, and existential aloneness. Picture of resilience was obtained using the CD-RISC 10 (Connor & Daidson, 2003) while the Javanese cultural studies were obtained through interviews. Data were collected Krinjing village which is one of the nearest villages from the top of Mount Merapi. Altogether 18 participants of 31-40 years old took the questionnaire and three people were interviewed. The results indicate that most participants get a middle score of resilience. The Javanese cultural aspects associated with resilience ability among eruption survivors are nrima, iklas, rila, patience and the principle of living in harmony. Recommendations for further research are included."

sikap rila dan nrima dengan salah satu pemikiran filsuf Prancis era
Postmodernisme yakni Jacques Derrida, yaitu le don est impossible.
Perbandingan yang dilakukan akan bersifat deskriptif. Konsep rila dan nrima
akan dibaca melalui pemikiran Derrida yaitu konsep le don est impossible,
demikian juga sebaliknya. Setelah melakukan perbandingan pembacaan,
ditemukan beberapa unsur yang saling berhubungan ataupun bertolak belakang
