"During his administration of the Soviet Union (1986-1991) Gorbachov introduced three new concepts namely IIepecTpoNKa /perestrojka/ 'restructurisation' I'IIacTHocTb /glasnost'/ 'openess', and IIMoKpTIIa Idemokratiyal 'democracy'. These concepts have brought enormous changes in so many aspects of societal life that the Soviet Union fell to pieces and the communist hegemony over the Soviet Union came an end. In line with the concept of perestroika, changes occurred in many fields and in particular, economics. The known command economy which was the communist system, made place for the market economy. This new economic system brought a wide variety of commodities to the market, not only those produced in Russia but also imported ones. As in other countries where the market economy is practiced, advertisements to promote commodities or products have become a must. The Russian daily newspapers have become an important media for disseminating information on the marketed goods or commodities. This phenomenon had been a taboo for about 70 years during the communist era.
Advertisements are known to introduce and to promote new goods or commodities, be it material good or services, since they are a means of information used to support and develop the market for products and services on a large scale (Germocenova 1994: 5). For this purpose a special language and signs are used to attract the consumers.
This dissertation deals with two specific problems namely, (1) the form and characteristics of the Russian advertising language during the period 1991-1996, and (2) the Russian advertising language reflects changes of socioeconomic characteristics compared with pre-communist times.
This research contains discourse analysis using a semiotics approach, i.e. from the aspects of syntactics, semantics, and pragmatics. The advertisements analyzed for this thesis are taken from the printed Russian media in Moscow with the highest circulation and the most widely distributed in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States i.e the former Soviet Union). Interviews were also carried out with Russians living in Moscow, in order to know their opinions about the presence of advertisements as a new social phenomenon. This thesis assumes that advertising reflects the undergoing changes in the Russian society.
From the sixty advertisements analyzed for this dissertation, it can be concluded that advertisements are closely related to the cultural conditions of the society. Each year during the period 1991-1996, the form and character of the Russian advertising language developed unique characteristics. Advertising in Russia presents not only changes in the socioeconomic process, but also in the political, ideological, and cultural processes."

"Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruhcelebrityendorserment terhadap minat beli konsumen melalui sikap atas iklan pada brand L?oreal, yang terdiri dari physical attractiveness (daya tarik), credibility (kepercayaan), expertise (keahlian), dan congruency (keselarasan). Manfaat yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah bagi pihak manajemen atau perusahaan adalah sebagai bahan evaluasi keefektivitasan penggunaan endorser dalam mempengaruhi minat beli konsumen, dan bagi penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat berguna untuk memberikan masukan tentang studi kasus yang membahas mengenai pengaruh celebrity endorsement terhadap minat beli konsumen dalam kegiatan promosi yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perempuan Indonesia yang pernah melihat iklan produk L'oreal dengan brand ambassador Dian Sastro. Data primer yang berhasil dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner berjumlah 125 orang dan diseleksi menjadi 100 orang. Pendekatan yang digunakan berdasarkan faktor-faktor pernah atau tidak menggunakan produk L?oreal, usia, informasi tentang produk, jenis produk yang digunakan, pekerjaan, pengeluaran per bulan, pengeluaran untuk membeli produk kosmetik dan perawatan, pengeluaran untuk membeli produk L?oreal. Pemecahan masalah dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan alat analisis korelasi dengan SPSS (Statistical Package for Service Solutions).
Analisis yang telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan program SPSS menunjukkan bahwa physical attractiveness, credibility, congruency dan expertise endorser tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap purchase intention.
Saran yang diberikan kepada perusahaan adalah agar mencoba strategi komunikasi pemasaran lainnya misalnya dengan promosi melalui media sosial, atau melakukan keseimbangan pada strategi pemasarannya.

This paper aims to identify and analyze the influence of celebrity endorserment on consumer buying interest through stance on advertising on brand fashion Damn I Love Indonesia, which consists of physical appearance, trustworthiness, expertise, and congruity. The benefits to be achieved in this research is for the management or the company as an evaluation is the effectiveness of the use of endorser in influencing consumer buying interest, and for further research are expected to be useful to provide input on case studies that discuss the influence of celebrity endorsement on consumer buying interest in promotional activities undertaken by the company.
The population in this study were all Indonesian women who've seen ads L'oreal products with brand ambassador Dian Sastro. Primary data were collected through questionnaires of 125 people and selected to be 100 people. Approach used based on factors never or do not use products L'oreal, age, information about the product, the type of product used, jobs, spending per month, expenditure on purchasing cosmetic products and treatments, expenditure on purchasing products L'oreal, Troubleshooting in this study was performed with a correlation analysis with SPSS (Statistical Package for Service Solutions).
The analysis was performed using SPSS shows that physical attractiveness, credibility, expertise and congruency's endorser do not have positive effect on consumer buying interest.
The advice given to companies is to try other marketing communication strategy, for example with the promotion through social media, or perform a balance in its marketing strategies.

"Destination branding dianggap sebagai aspek utama dalam penerapan konsep pemasaran dalam suatu destinasi, terutama saat peluang dalam industri pariwisata meningkat dan bertambahnya berbagai pilihan destinasi wisata. Sebelumnya, telah dibahas mengenai theoretical framework mengenai destination branding menggunakan variabel source credibility, destination image, destination attachment, dan destination satisfaction. Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dari destination source credibility terhadap destination satisfaction dengan mediasi destination image dan destination attachment. Penelitian ini melibatkan 302 orang responden yang sebelumnya pernah mengunjungi destinasi wisata Malang Raya dan melakukan pencarian informasi menggunakan situs dan/atau aplikasi User Generated Content UGC . Data diolah menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling SEM . Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabel destination image memediasi pengaruh destination source credibility terhadap destination attachment. Destination attachment memiliki peran mediasi pada pengaruh destination image terhadap destination satisfaction. Namun, destination attachment tidak memiliki peran mediasi dalam pengaruh destination source credibility terhadap destination.

Destination branding is considered as the main aspect of destination marketing, align with the increasing opportunity in tourism industry and the development in alternative destination choices. Before, the theoretical framework of destination branding already developed, which include destination source credibility, destination image, destination attachment, and destination satisfaction. This quantitative research aims to see the effect of destination source credibility to destination satisfaction with destination image and destination attachment as mediation variable. The study involved 302 respondents who have visited Malang Raya and have done information research using site and or application of User Generated Content UGC . The data was processed using Structural Equation Modeling SEM . The results of this study showed that destination image does mediate the effect of destination source credibility to destination attachment. Destination attachment does mediate the effect of destination image to destination satisfaction, but does not mediate the effect of destination source credibility to destination satisfaction."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media sosial Instagram dan elektronik dari mulut ke mulut (e-WOM) baik secara langsung maupun melalui variabel mediasi, yaitu kepercayaan terhadap keterlibatan keputusan pembelian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross-sectional deskriptif konklusif dan kuesioner didistribusikan secara online kepada 216 responden yang telah menghabiskan pengeluaran untuk fashion e-commerce di Indonesia. Tesis ini menggunakan analisis pemodelan persamaan struktural (SEM), pengolahan data responden dalam penelitian ini menggunakan LISREL 8.51. Penelitian ini menghasilkan penggunaan media sosial Instagram dan elektronik dari mulut ke mulut memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterlibatan keputusan pembelian. Hasil lain dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa elektronik dari mulut ke mulut juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh variabel mediasi kepercayaan untuk mencapai keterlibatan keputusan pembelian. Penggunaan media sosial Instagram tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keterlibatan keputusan pembelian jika dimediasi oleh kepercayaan. Memahami faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keterlibatan keputusan pembelian dalam belanja konsumen dalam mode e-commerce di Indonesia dapat membantu pemasar memprediksi perilaku konsumen dalam kegiatan pemasaran produk atau perusahaan

This research was conducted to determine the effect of the use of social media Instagram and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) both directly and through mediating variables, namely confidence in the involvement of purchasing decisions. This study uses a conclusive descriptive cross-sectional method and a questionnaire distributed online to 216 respondents who have spent spending on fashion e-commerce in Indonesia. This thesis uses structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis, respondent data processing in this study uses LISREL 8.51. This research resulted in the use of social media Instagram and word of mouth have a significant influence on the involvement of purchasing decisions. Other results from this study indicate that word of mouth electronics can also be influenced by trust mediation variables to achieve purchasing decision involvement. The use of social media Instagram does not have a significant influence on the involvement of purchasing decisions if mediated by trust. Understanding the factors that can influence purchasing decision involvement in consumer spending in e-commerce mode in Indonesia can help marketers predict consumer behavior in product or company marketing activities
