ABSTRAKAgregat anak usia sekolah pada masyarakat perkotaan berisiko terkena infeksi
saluran pernapasan akut (ISPA) karena faktor biologis, lingkungan, dan gaya
hidup. Karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai
intervensi keperawatan inhalasi sederhana dalam mengatasi masalah keperawatan
ISPA pada anak usia sekolah di keluarga. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan
melakukan praktik asuhan keperawatan kepada keluarga dengan anak usia sekolah
yang menderita ISPA. Intervensi inhalasi sederhana yang dilakukan pada pasien
ISPA terbukti efektif untuk mengencerkan dahak. Setelah dilakukan asuhan
keperawatan selama 10 kali pertemuan, hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan
bahwa pengetahuan keluarga mengenai ISPA meningkat dan bersihan jalan napas
pada anak efektif. Inhalasi sederhana direkomendasikan dapat diterapkan dalam
penanganan ISPA.

aims to give an overview about the application of steam inhalation as a nursing
intervention for treating ARI in school age children on the family. The method
that used for this action is the practice of nursing care families with school-age
children that have suffered from ARI. Steam inhalation interventions performed
on ARI?s patients proven effective to thin the phlegm. After nursing care for 10
meetings, the results obtained show that knowledge about ARI in the family was
increased and airway clearance in children was effectively. Steam inhalation is
